Reacting to Packers OFFICIAL 53-Man Roster!!

all right guys so just moments ago the official Green Bay Packers 53 man roster just released throughout the day we've been getting leaks on certain players released certain players they want to bring back to the practice squad but there were still many cuts to be made up until this 4:00 Eastern deadline and now we officially have it I have yet to look at the official roster so in today's video we're going to be reacting to it and breaking it down pretty much live from at at least my standpoint this video is being brought to you by bet us more on that later guys if you happen to be a new into it and bring up the screen and like I said I have yet to look at this yet and the only thing that I can see from now is the title Packers keep six receivers um and I saw earlier that they are keeping Malik Heath so that seemingly signals Grant deos didn't make the roster 11 defensive lineman here's the initial 2024 roster okay so let's dive into it like I said there were some leaks earlier so I know some players that were cut which we'll we'll get into definitely of course after yesterday the big news trading for Malik Willis the Packers have decided to cut both Shawn Clifford and Michael Pratt as you see there two quarterbacks on the roster Jordan love Malik Willis pending a physical that would be pretty wild if he didn't pass a physical and then they kind of had to revert that and go to one of Sean Clifford or Michael Pratt now it did come out that they're going to bring Shawn Clifford to the practice squad over Michael Pratt in my opinion this is because there's well there's two reasons in my opinion he's been with the team for two years now so he obviously has that experience and he's also a fifth round draft choice where Michael Pratt has just been here for one training camp and a seventh round draft choice so they have more invested in Shawn Clifford in the development of him obviously we can all agree he didn't play as good as Michael Pratt but at the end of the day he has more experience and we'll kind of sit as a ready backup until Malik Willis is completely ready or they feel comfortable with him you know going into a game as a backup like I would argue if Jordan love got hurt they'd activate Sean Clifford to the active roster and he might start over Malik Willis if this was early in the season before they start to really develop Malik Willis so nothing crazy here thought they'd bring Michael Pratt back on the practice squad but in terms of my prediction yesterday you know I did think Michael Pratt would be quarterback number two but I also mentioned they could bring in another quarterback um but I did say Sean cliffer to be a practice squad quarterback so at least I got that right as for the running backs okay this is an interesting one so Josh Jacobs Marshon lyd Emanuel Wilson injured reserve AJ Dylan I'm sure that's with the designation to return wow so I actually just checked Twitter uh because I'm just looking at this for the first time and both AJ Dylan and Tyler Davis are actually on the actual injured reserve and are out for the season so no AJ Dylan for 2024 and likely his time as a Green Bay Packer has came to an end so all the offseason of him slimming down looking better we're not even going to see it that next singer popped back up which is very unfortunate as injury he had last season I mean that's something you can't really mess around with your neck right and he's done for the year that's crazy I I thought he'd be with a designation to return so Packers running backs this year Josh Jacobs Marshon Lloyd Emanuel Wilson and maybe someone else they bring in that got cut today there's a lot of options they I would assume they'll do that just to get another guy into the room with AJ Dylan now being out for the year okay that is interesting you know I kind of thought one of these running backs would go on IR it allows them to keep Emanuel Wilson and it just makes it a lot easier and allows one of these running backs whatever injury was more significant to get better and that was AJ Dill they released Ellis Merryweather and Nate MCC interested to see which one they bring back my bets on Nate MCC that's what I wrote in my prediction but we'll see wide receivers they keep six Romeo dobs Jaden Reed Christian Watson Tay Wicks Malik keath Bo Melton interestingly Malik Heath list before Bo Melton here on the official website and they released Grant toose samor Tor Julian Hicks Demitri Stanley and Jaylen Wayne I'm sure Grant deos will be back on the practice squad so long another team doesn't claim him to their roster that very well could happen I believe they already mentioned that Julian Hicks is someone they want to bring back on the practice squad so then at that point if they can get deos and Hicks back it'll be hey if we want to keep three my guess is it would be Tory due to the Special Teams um experience there moving on to tight ends they injured reserve Tyler Davis three tight ends on the instant roster um is a little light in my opinion for a team that I think is going to go a lot of 12 Personnel Luke Musgrave Tucker craft Ben Sims injured reserve Tyler Davis and they released Joe Wilson Messiah Swinson and Henry Pearson so they're listing Henry Pearson as a tight end here I believe he'll come back on practice squad I'm sure Joel Wilson will come back on the practice squad as well offensive lineman they do keep 10 okay so I thought they'd keep nine I nailed all nine except for the addition of Travis Glover and guys I don't know if you see it yet but it happened it finally happened the Green Bay Packers have released Royce Newman we did it this is a great day this is a great moment man if you've been watching my channel you know how we've been wanting this and the Packers finally did it so Elton Jenkins Josh Meers Rasheed Walker Zack Tom Jordan Morgan Shawn Ryan Andre Diller Jacob monk Kadeem teler those are the nine I thought they were going to they added Travis Glover into the mix it kind of makes sense you know he's a sixr draft selection not often do first year draft picks not make the roster under Brian gudun I'm going to be interested to see if kin King made it again I haven't seen that yet uh but he already cut one of his seventh rounders in Michael Pratt so who knows if he'd cut two of them or both of them so on the practice squad uh he probably would have made this roster if he wasn't hurt for the majority of training camp expect him to be back defensive end wow they keep six okay so we're all kind of sitting here wondering will they keep five they ended up keeping six including brenon Cox Jr and Aaron Mosby I saw the leak a little bit earlier that Aaron Mosby made the roster and it almost made me go oh wow wow are they really going to cut Bretton Cox Jr I didn't think that would happen at all I had them keeping five and it's the first five on this list here and I had them practice squatting Aaron Mosby but man he he deserves this he deserved to make this roster with that last game I mean he did pretty much everything to say hey keep me on this 53 man roster and you know they're switching to a 4-3 they want more bodies down low on that defensive line so it makes sense they released Deslin Alexander kesan bigs Zack Morton and Brevin Allen they decide to keep five defensive linemen Kenny Clark TJ s Devonte Wyatt Carl Brooks Colby wooden exactly how I predicted it injured reserve designated to return Jonathan for so defensive tackle they released James eser Spencer Ouiji Keon Shad expect James eser back on the practice squad inside linebacker uh you know you guys hate to see it but Christian Welch was released so they kept five Quay Walker Isaiah McDuffy Eric Wilson Edan Cooper Tyron Hopper Christian Welch is a vested veteran so he doesn't have to pass through waivers so no other team can just claim without his approval so can choose where he wants to go you know he's from Green Bay he's a Packers fan I would assume he's going to come back on the practice squad unless another team is of course offering him a 53 man roster spot then obviously do what's best for you go to that team but I expect Christian Welch to be back on the practice squad and probably be elevated for certain games for some special teams help or if injuries happen they also release Christian young and Chris Russell I expect Chris Russell to be back on the practice squad as well and they wave SL injured railen go forth as for cornerbacks oh wow okay they actually released kin King interesting Brian gkin released both of his seventh round draft choices in one year jier Stokes Nixon Valentine Ballentine so who did they keep overall then wow they released doose they released kin King they also released Robert relle kin King jaman Green uh I would fully assume kin King back on the practice squad so long another team doesn't claim him which probably shouldn't happen I mean around the league you see players like Caleb Farley a former first-rounder get waved today by the Tennessee Titans so there's a lot of options out there but kin King has a ton of potential so I wouldn't be shocked if a team randomly uh decided to bring him onto their roster and they also waved SL injured cornerback LJ Davis moving on to safety they keep five and wow okay did not expect that they kept five but it's Zayn Anderson over Anthony Johnson Jr I mean it's it's solely a special teams move here it has to be it has to be that that is actually a shock that they released Anthony Johnson Jr um you know has been getting some starting reps this off season rotating in and out obviously Javon Buller took his spot so did Evan Williams but I thought he had an excellent final preseason game one of the best players on that defense with Welch with Mosby wow I fully expect him to be back on the practice squad but that is a little bit of a shock so they keep McKenna Bullard Williams Zayn Anderson and katano aapo there was no way they were going to release katano aapo being you know a mid- round pick there they already released two seventh rounders with this roster cut down but they did release Anthony Johnson Jr and Benny sap and and they decided to keep Greg Joseph as their kicker this is a little bit of a surprise here you know his his salary will go into full guarantee week one which you know I guess is fine uh I'm sure they can still make a switch here if another kicker was released today that they like better than Greg Joseph they might go that route the nail on the coffin for Anders Carlson was that missed 32 yard field goal I mean he hit a 54 Y which was close to the upright but he hit it and at that point we're all like Anders won the job then he goes out there and does the same old Anders Carlson missing an easy layup style type of kick so the Packers released Anders and Alex hail hail probably will be back for that 17th practice squad spot they kept Daniel wheen of course Greg Joseph and Matt Orek at Long Snapper so I predicted they'd maybe keep one less special teamer to get another player on this roster like a Kalin King like a grantab Bose that's not the case so definitely an interesting initial 53 man roster here again this is an initial 53 man roster a lot can change within the next 24 hours they could release a couple players here and resign a couple players that were just released um that can definitely happen it's happened before of course all the other players being waved around the league they could like another one of those players over one of their own make that switch and we're going to start to hear all the players added to the practice squad whether it's some of their own here it should be mostly that or other players around the league that want to come to our practice squad that'll be also a video update on this channel either later tonight or early tomorrow morning when that practice squad is finalized you'll find that as an update here on this channel so be on the lookout for that overall uh a little bit of a surprise on certain spots of this roster I mean cutting kin King didn't expect that to happen Christian Welch not making it is unfortunate but you can't sit here and say you you didn't think it was an option Grant deau is not making it again I kind of wanted him to make it but it makes sense with Malik HEI he has more experience he's also good on special teams he can run block uh they liked what they saw of him last year AJ Dylan on fulltime injured Reserve is definitely a shock for me Tyler Davis same thing they're definitely going to need to add another tight end into that room for sure probably one around the league I know Donald parm just got cut they're probably going to add someone into this room and then end up cutting someone else on this roster I'm sure that's going to happen I doubt they're going to ride the season with three tight ends with how many 12 Personnel looks they're going to go but Anthony Johnson Jr probably the biggest shock here in my opinion of players that I didn't expect to be released nice to see Aaron Mosby make the roster that's really cool finally finally Royce Newman is off this roster that's awesome to see um offensive line looks great but overall not crazy nothing wild like a Josh sitting release or anything of that sort like years in the past uh
