LET'S FKNG GO! PADRES LEADING WILD CARD AND HAVE KEY PLAYERS COMING BACK! #LFGSD

Padres yesterday over the Pirates for those of you that listen outside of Southern California you may not realize but our home base is San Diego and the team that we follow is the Padre's and then we look up at the Dodgers and that's just the life of a padre fan but go back to yesterday because they started this game and then there was a major rain delay and Dylan CE who was the starting pitcher for the Padres they warmed him up he started the game then the rain delay and they didn't they didn't come back with him they said hey look he pitched an inning and that's all we can do because this rain delay is taking a really long time which leads me they also they tried to restart the game but the Outfield was a lake and so he redid his warm-up he redid his his thing to get ready to come back out and then there was an extended extended delay so shame on Major League Baseball shame on those umpires and shame on Pittsburgh what you guys didn't walk the the warning track like nobody decided hey let's go see like make sure the field is actually okay not just the field like literally Jackson Merill pretended like he was about to do a dive into the warning track that's how much water was out there so absolute shame and disaster on Major League Baseball last night and it end up being a big deal for the Padre but that's just ridiculous like go walk the field and make sure it's good to go before you say let's go play Browner Jackson was about to do that Caleb Williams slip and slide from Hard Knocks last night it's the dog days for the ground crew too man they getting toward the end of the season that brought me so much joy to see that the slip and slide thing because we did that in high school baseball all the time like we literally practice sliding on slip ins slide and when when our slip and slide was ripped we just watered the hell out of an empty part of grass and just did it on grass I and I didn't think they did very well on the slip and slide either by the way that's just it's more fun than like even that was boring but but when when Dylan CE who you know for those of you that don't really know his his career I mean he had a freaking uh no hitter within the last two weeks when Dylan also during a rain delay by the way yeah but when he doesn't come back then you got to go to your Bullpen and you got to hope that everybody can get warmed up you got to hope everybody can stay in it mentally take a look Alex walk us through what the bullpen did last night to get this win against the Pirates you ready for this Browner props to AJ preller for putting this new Bullpen together Brian Hing three and two3 one hit no runs Adrien who's been here but one inning no hit no runs Jason Jason Adam new guy one inning hit one inning two hits no runs Tanner Scott new guy one in a third one hit no runs and Jeremiah strata finished that thing one inning no hit no runs they shut out the Pittsburgh Pirates and oh by the way while this is happening with the Padre's Bullpen did you happen to notice last night the dod lost to the Phillies and not only did they lose to the Phillies but a guy who's part of their Bullpen who we've seen a lot in San Diego and a lot of Padre fans don't like this guy because he's a super emotional pitcher I hate this guy right he he made his season debut last night because he' been hurt all year and he throws this ball and and all of a sudden Yanks a hamstring we're watching the video right now look at this I the whole motion was slow and grat all now from the Dodgers you know it was a pretty solid performance last night by Kershaw who started the game but then the Dodger Bullpen gave it all up yeah this is this was the design if you is a starting pitcher for the San Diego Padres all you have to do is give the club six solid Innings and there's a solid chance the bullpen can take it from there that was the design of all these trades the idea of people saying oh get a starter get a starter get a starter they probably didn't see a starter that was as functional and and could be as contributive as they could what they could do with the bullpen and so you choose the lane and they chose the bullpen Lane and I think that's actually going to be a success story because if you're looking around what people thought of it everybody says they have a playoff contention style bullpan the question is can everybody else get them there right well better news too to your point musk's coming back officially when that supposed to happen well because Dylan C only pitched one yesterday he might go a little earlier than normal so he might pitch this weekend in Miami the original report was musr was going to pitch in Miami now it looks like Musgrove is going to make his debut next next week at some point you're only four games back now the Dodgers brought Kershaw out last night four and two3 five hits five strikeouts gave up one run but as soon as Kershaw came out that is when the bullpen kind of blew things especially and that's when to browner's point Musgrove is only going to give you depending on how many innings he or pitches he has he's going to be on a pitch count for his first few starts so that Bullpen is going to be very important yeah y well good win by the Padres um you know so far one to one in the series between the Dodgers and the Phillies Padres have two more and uh and I know tomorrow my son who lives in Pittsburgh told me he's going to the game and he's going to report live from the game
