just getting started uh after what was a really great weekend i guess unless you're like really deeply into the padres and i'll just say it like this real quick you know the padres split against the san francisco giants this weekend at home so you're playing against a team that is trailing you in the standings and you are at home this is the kind of series browner you've been saying it all season certain series you gotta win certain series you've realized this may not be for us this weekend we're on the road we're playing the dodgers whatever but this is the kind of weekend where you got to win that series you got to take three out of four and the padres won the first two lost the second two you may think no blood and that's fine but remember they're chasing you you're at home and all the while the dodgers are on a tear i said i'm not getting excited before the all-star break but i'll tell you guys right now um what is there to be excited about this team is limping towards the all-star break and if tatis does not come back right after the all-star break and if tatis takes time to come back to who he is that's this is by the way still a big if to me right now the way i see things padres are in some trouble padres are in some real trouble right now got to get this thing fixed i've i've spoken about this before i think he will be back on the second half of the season but i i i we left this show on friday talking about a split that's what we left the show talking about they got the split they got the split the second half the last two games were ugly they were ugly we left you say we left the show on friday talking about a split what do you mean we were talking about a split i'm not suggesting you that we were talking about a sweep and i'm not suggesting to you that we were saying hey they're easily going to win three out of four but talking about a split a split let me ask you this question is a split good against san francisco while you're at home i think a split against that what we saw on sat on uh saturday and sunday yeah yes yes those guys if you just looked at it from a perspective of we split the series like not not too bad right no harm no foul right but if you watched the games it was illustrated the deficiencies that this team is currently facing when you look at that lineup yesterday which i did in hd in person and you look at the bottom six hitters that was ugly and it was like actually it was actually a great case study as to how far the padres are to the dodgers because the padres went down four nothing in the first i believe and you're like oh it's over this team's not going to score four runs it takes them a series to score four runs and then you look at the dodgers who fell down 5-0 in the first and you're like yeah they still got a chance now they have a chance they came back and won they were they had a lead in the third inning after being down eight to three in the third inning all of a sudden it's like nine eight mm-hmm i just think this is this is the problem i mean this is here put put the line up yesterday now now wait brown were you at the game yesterday no you didn't go he was a no-show according to lawhead really you took the tickets and didn't go well no i gave the tickets to lawhead oh oh oh oh and then lawhead had some some uh very attractive young ladies sitting next to him that you gave tickets to yes so let me just understand this you took four tickets from bill hagen the owner of 1090 you gave two of them to lawhead and you gave two of them to attractive young ladies i mean i know them but yeah but you were planning on going with the two attractive ladies of course but then you didn't go no so then you gave the tickets to lawhead right and he sat next to the attractive ladies with his wife yes with his wife yeah and alex you went to the game yesterday right mm-hmm what was your deal i just went on my own not by yourself no i went with a buddy yeah i'm i pulled the browner yesterday i also bailed you know uh dale the bud man browner what are you doing wait wait wait wait wait wait no don't do that don't don't give me don't put me in there you just said you you bailed on the game i like when we use people's last names as adjectives you just yeah that's a browner don't do that well here's what happened to me i i was uh i i yesterday was supposed to go to the game you know dale the bud man has that event that we've all gone to out in like the dugout seat or no no the bullpen seats and um i was planning on going and i was helping rachel move and it was getting late it was like 11 in the morning and i'm like she changed houses um she's moving yeah she's uh when i say moving she's just she's just anyway it's too moving okay you don't want to hear about it when you say movies she's moving nah it's just it's a short-term move but anyway uh so i was helping her and i'm looking at my watch it's like 11 o'clock and i'm like there's no way i'm getting done here in the next two hours to get down to petco and so then i tell dale i'm like yo dale i'm not going to make it man i'm really sorry i want to give you these tickets back in advance so that if you wanted to use them i would hate for them to go to waste and he said well why don't you come down you'll you'll be able to see the uh the giants closer meaning you know the padres were going to lose the game right but i didn't make it down there alex how long did you stay because they were getting destroyed was like 11 or 12 nothing when i was watching uh i made it in my seats until the fifth once abrams got a hit i was like i can't leave here like i've left remember lindsay come through no hitter at pekko like i was at that game and left and i was like i'm not gonna miss a no-hitter again because i've never seen one in person and i was like this lineup is very capable of getting no hit by this guy today so once abrams got the hit i was told my buddy i was like we need to go find some shade dawg this is freaking hot like like we are in the sun my bucket hat is not extending properly like we need to go so we we went up and at the like the ballast point bar and watched a few innings but then we bounced like in the eighth or seventh something like that you know funny though you talked about yesterday and the padres having a lineup that could have been no hit um i found myself yesterday afternoon at about i'd say it was probably like 3 30ish i finally get myself home and i i'm like oh my god i'm home i can sit on my couch i got i actually have a few minutes to sit on my couch so i turn on the game and there's a guy coming up to bat uh playing third base named baton b-a-t-t-e-n and i'm like i don't know who that is in fact earlier in the game there was a play made out in left field by a player on the padres named rooker and i'm like i don't know who that is either so there were two players that were in padre uniforms yesterday left field and third base and i was like guys i i don't know who they are does anybody know who these two dudes are and where they came from and when they got here and why they're here i mean i guess with manny with manny you know being out at third you know and still not having tatis back but i don't anybody named rooker kim is out with the thumb injury uh machado dh yesterday and pro far's in concussion protocol mazara is a lefty and there was a lefty pitcher so that's why these guys were getting some at-bats but they both recently got called up from el paso i believe and as for rooker goes or batten excuse me i think that was his major league debut like two nights ago where he got his first step back he got a hit oh because last yesterday i think he ended the game striking out and i think he was oh for four in the game and that didn't matter i mean like their bases were loaded and i think the score was 11 nothing and i was like i don't think they're coming back here we're too down you know in the bottom of the ninth and two outs and the base is juiced and this guy named baton batting and as far as rooker goes he's played three seasons he was in el paso earlier this year i believe yesterday i could be wrong but this weekend he definitely got his debut this weekend for the padres but he's playing good twins he was in the trade wasn't he uh as part of the taylor rogers trade possibly yeah i don't know that's what i thought but yeah you look at that lineup yesterday boys when it's when i looked up at the at the big screen to see the lineup i was like all right man it's been one of those days today huh it'll be one of them days today you got a zokar rooker abrams baton well you can start at hosmer too so you know i thought abram's held his own abram's actually been hitting extremely well the last three weeks or so i i so no not home runs but right right but he's been good he's getting good effective bass that he wasn't getting at the start of the season he was getting a lot of strikeouts he was just looking bad at the play he looks more confident and most key he looks more consistent at the bet at the plate and these at-bats have really really helped settle him to i mean he's hitting better than anybody in the outfield what was the uh what day was it was it friday night or was it saturday i'm trying to remember which day it was do you guys remember the play i'm convinced of one thing about when it comes to eric hosmer and i say it all the time well not only does he stink he's afraid of the ball and i say that and you think to yourself what are you talking about i know it sounds super little league to say that somebody's afraid of the ball because everybody's coached little johnny over at first base and they're like johnny don't turn your head you know when the ball's coming at you don't turn your head i'm telling you right now eric hosmer is afraid of the ball this this play what what night was this friday night dude we're watching this play for those of you that are listening on radio put your foot on the bag and stretch okay have a foot on the bag so the first thing is he's got terrible footwork not that i'm like he you know he's got terrible footwork you know he's not getting his hips through the ball he's a ball plur i look i'm not a first base coach and i don't coach anybody in major league baseball infield play but it just would seem to me that you have to have a part of your foot on the bag and even if the ball is not perfectly thrown you got to make a play on it not only is he like he's looking at the ball coming up the runner's coming at him and it's he's like i'm either going to take a shot to my left or i'm going to miss the ball and he screws both things up yeah so he's got to go he got so scared of the runner he got so scared of the runner because he's doing that stupid thing where he goes from the other side of the bag and i'm i'm rambling because i lost the video but it is uh it's very annoying now dude it's incredibly annoying that he keeps stepping back i've never seen a first baseman ever step back on the other side of the bag like this before and he does it all the time it makes absolutely no sense none whatsoever he is honestly like i don't i don't understand how this guy because because when he got here to the padres from on gold gloves yeah he wasn't he uh advertised as a gold glove defensive first baseman that was his kind of calling card right dude he was like multiple time gold glove winner four time gold glove winner how exactly that is percentages percentages fielded like they're not watching him play percentages field it the dude if you're in the dugout if you're a coach and he's doing this stuff like what are you doing like look at this yeah this is another one this is uh this is the seattle series where you literally look scared of the ball here right i mean manny's making this throw across his body all he has to do is scoop it but you see it's like again if you were coaching a little leaguer you'd be like dude listen you cannot be afraid of the ball if you're afraid of the ball we'll move you out to the outfield but you have to be able to reach and scoop and look and he can't dude i'm telling you he is so bad at first base i mean let's it's been like a comedy of errors let's not forget the arizona game where you throw it to second and they lost the game that way right i think in the same series it was a pop-up and he ought to obviously it was to the pitcher but the first baseman second baseman you come in you get the ball you don't let your pitcher catch that ball so he calls him off and in a dome he lost it yeah in a dome there was no sun it's just becoming like almost every game something happens to the point now where i don't know if you guys have noticed when the padres have had leads late in the game melvin has pulled him from first space he's a defensive liability mm-hmm and that's side number one if you got an experienced manager like bob melvin telling this guy who's been in the league for ten years like yeah you gotta go you gots to go you can't even play defense anymore like we're not gonna let you you're not gonna let you do with that when it matters i know he's terrible i mean again you know sometimes a guy from third makes a really nice throw and it's a one hopper and you got to make that play and sometimes it's not just exactly routine but the play that we just watched which was against seattle that's kind of a routine first baseman kind of play you know for a guy who's got four gold gloves that's pretty routine i mean a first baseman is scooping a lot of balls per game right on the job is he not practicing that like is he not like hey make bad throws to me get a coach to make bad throws to you if anything work on getting your body behind the ball do this yeah like by the way though no better no i think if you're talking about the future of the infield you're talking about abrams at second and cronenworth at first well let's do pretty much and then like with if you have a healthy details or even at this point kim at short abram's at second conan worth that first that's your infield i mean yeah sure should be a lot better yeah it will be a lot better just it will be you got you got to get three parts of it all together you got to get tatis back you got to get kim back you know and then you got to move chronoworth and you got to get rid of hosmer god he's terrible at first just terrible and and what bothers me more than anything is he's afraid of the ball i know it sounds elementary and i know it sounds like i'm trying to knock the guy i'm not not trying to knock the guy i'm just trying i'm just saying it's it's pretty obvious to everybody that when when a first baseman a major league baseball first baseman who's a four-time gold glover turns his head that's a guy who doesn't want to he's afraid to get hit by the ball four-time gold glover how i know that was a good question is it just like the air in san diego doesn't you know like is it different than kansas city is the the dirt at peco a little rougher than kansas city is the the ice the eye line from third base different i don't know like tell talk to me haws how do you go from winning four gold gloves to this do we need to go get some dirt from kansas city put around first base yeah no no we should we should not go out of our way to accommodate this guy we should get rid of him seriously terrible just hey look at this why do you take them well nobody's take them i'm going to say this to you guys right now and i don't mean to be such an alarmist okay and i said i'm not getting excited which i'm not but i'm just telling you the reality of the situation the dodgers now have an eight game lead over the padres they have a 12 and a half game lead over the giants so the giants have come back to what people expected they were prior to this crazy year they had a year ago and the padres are starting to fall apart and by the way when i say fall apart they're 49 and 38 the padres which two three four years ago most padre fans be like dude yeah yeah but you see now when you split at home against the giants a team that's trailing you by four and a half games and the dodgers are on one of these unstoppable runs they're just pulling away because here's here's what you're going to bank on the padres are going to go on a run and the dodger is going to come crash back to earth well um if this and if that look chances are both of those things aren't happening look at their last seven losses how many runs they scored in their losses one one two two two one zero that's the padres catch the pattern there yeah it's a padres last seven losses you're saying one run about one how about this one how about this go go to the slide that says rough stretch go to that slide for a second here take a look at this everybody here today we're on today's july 11th since june 24th grande in the last 16 years arizona the week that before then and ever since that sweep this is what's happened five and 11 since june 24th they were tied with the dodgers for in that june 23rd they're now eight games back they've hit three home runs in six games which is the fewest of any team in baseball and i think two of those are manny's right yeah and two of those was thursday and friday and then that's it and then the bullpen is now struggling allowing at least one earned run in nine street games padres are going backwards and the dodgers are full steam ahead going forwards and and if you're gonna ask me how they did compared to last year because we like to do that um 49 38 this year last year 50 and 37. so they're they're on the exact same pace yeah the exact same trajectory yep this thing could be falling apart here real soon brown around and now we get to go to colorado where they've been where they've been ultra successful they've got knocked out in the stands you know how many games they've lost in a row in colorado how many 10 no i thought it was they've lost 10 straight intense right in colorado wow wow all right look we got a lot to get to today uh because while we've started with the padres you know the dodgers this past weekend they swept the cubs even when they were getting smoked early in yesterday's game and then there's a lot of stuff related to the all-star game which is next weekend the festivities begin like sunday monday tuesday of next weekend um really more monday tuesday but we'll get to that stuff coming up before i do i want to just say to everybody who's listening that if you come we'll have the whole season of horse racing at del mar i just love the summer time here i love the weather um i love all the different things that are going on around town like for example brown i missed you friday night you know i went to the kraken in cardiff on friday night to see april and the funk junkies brown i was hoping you were going to meet me there but i know life you know happens and sometimes you can't always make it to where you want to go but let me tell you something place was freaking packed point being april my friend who's the lead singer of the band it's like you know if we can show them that we can bring in a crowd you know they'll rebook us and i'm like well we're going to help and we talked about this on the air and i'm telling you guys place was packed on explained to me that he was a disabled veteran and he said to me he goes you guys got to imagine i mean it's packed wall-to-wall people right it's hot it's sweaty the music is loud and this gentleman walks up to me he's like hey man i heard you talking on the radio that you were going to be here so i wanted to come down and meet you and hang out a little bit i'm like well hey nice to meet you pal and he said listen he goes i realize i don't have that much time with you because you know there's a lot of people around your girlfriend's over here you got some friends over here you got other folks you know dancing it's like but i i came here tonight to meet you because i wanted to show you something i'm like okay what's up so he he takes out of his backpack like these um leather they look like you know if you had cowboy boots here there's the shoe part and then there's what i'd call the boot part that goes up your calf right like up your leg up your shin this guy had some invention that he'd created where he had like leather looking boots but you could wear your regular shoes but it made it look like you were wearing cowboy boots but then what he did is he took these like logos alex he had one for you they were the minnesota vikings logo at the top of the boot so it's you're not really putting on boots you're putting on like things over your pants that look like you're wearing boots but then they've got your favorite nfl team so this gentleman comes in and he is doing a full display right and now people at the bar are like what's going on over here what's this guy doing he's taking stuff out of his bag and he's showing it to me and now my girlfriend she's grabbed me she's like you're with me tonight you are with me come with me i'm with you you can't be hanging out with these guys doing boot displays here in the middle of the bar in the middle of a band you're with me tonight so tom um i appreciated what you were doing and i loved what you were up to man i just i know we didn't get a chance to kind of finish it all off but uh it was great to meet everybody and browner i wish you were there you could have taken over you could have you know could have talked to the gentleman found out what he had going on but you were nowhere to be found so people started showing me their boots i get disinterested really no disrespect to that brother i'm sure those boots place has been for rent for like months and i'm telling you right now usually they don't even put a sign out you know it's online and it gets snapped up in a heartbeat something's going on in our real estate market i saw a video that louis abeda sent us um last week where these guys are out in the desert they're out in like the palm springs you know area and they're in a neighborhood where new homes were being built and all of a sudden the construction has stopped it has halted and the guy who's there is like i'm telling you something's going on they can't get water they can't finish these houses there's something going on in our economy people hear about inflation i see on cnbc they're having a debate inflation versus recession what does it mean stock market something's going on in our world and our economy and for those of us that don't pay attention to it every day we may not necessarily realize it but when it comes to the world of housing and real estate gary's the go-to guy eight five eight three seven six twelve ninety nine eight five eight three seven six twelve ninety nine i think i told you guys a story a buddy of mine bought a house about five six years ago paid like 1.2 1.3 for the house i don't recall exactly what the number was and then he decided about three weeks ago four weeks ago he's like you know what i'm going to sell my house and he thought based on the comps in the neighborhood he was going to get like 2.7 2.8 guys gonna make over a million dollars on this house in like five years and um when he listed it nothing i mean no sniffs nobody showed up at open houses nothing going on so he finally decided to lower the price like really really lower it and he's like yeah i just sold the house and i think i lost about 700 grand by waiting if he would have sold the house two months ago he would have gotten the big money but something's happened here we're trending downward you need to talk to an expert talk to gary cooper 858 376 1299 mountain trust mortgage and realty services all right guys we started off today talking about the padres and when you split at home against the giants i can make the case that splitting at home against the giants is a good thing if the giants are ahead of you in the standings but because the giants are behind you in the standings and you're at home and didn't the padres sweep the giants like a few weeks ago in san francisco yeah i was there so you've swept them at their place now you're home for four and you split a lot of times people go well no blood but the problem is while the padres didn't go backwards necessarily because they split they also didn't go forward by playing a team that's behind them in the standings at home for four while the dodgers are crushing the cubs and granted the cubs are not a very good baseball team brown i know you got that cub gear on today but while the dodgers are advancing and getting better in the standings the padres are not and so all of a sudden alex you put it up earlier you go back to like late late june the padres were in first place they were tied for first place now they're eight games back of the dodgers who've gone on yet another dodgery kind of run here you know you remember last year we did a we were doing the nl west watch and we gave up on it i don't know at some point in august i think we just stopped doing the the graphic and we switched to wild card watch and then at some point we just abandoned that because you know it kept going we're pretty much already at the point of okay let's forget about the division i know there's half a season to play but let's be real here let's let's forget about that and let's really focus on being one of the three wild card teams that gets in because right now you're the second of the three and you have a two and a half game lead over philadelphia who's the third wild card team in right now well you know and the other thing is you say that you know we're halfway through the season we're actually past the halfway point padres have played a grand total right now of 77 games so far and they've got just in terms of the schedule this week they've got four against college 87 87 what did i say 77 yeah they've played 87 games so far they've got four against colorado which will get them to 91 and then this weekend are they playing arizona arizona for three so at 87 games they'll be at 94 games when the all-star break gets here so you know you're really you've got like 70 games to go not even you know yeah you get you split the two against san francisco i could let it pass but i mean yesterday's gonna leave a sour taste in your mouth regardless of who you're playing when you lose 12 nothing and mackenzie gore looks bad it's just it's going to leave a sour taste in your mouth well let me show you let me show you two things though let me show you two slides that i think will really illustrate this well the first one would be this alex go go to the slide for everybody we'll start with the padre perspective then we'll move it to the dodger side of things go to the slide that says rough stretch so here it goes take us through this slide because this is these two slides are going to illustrate everything so on june 20th and june 24 21st 22nd they swept the diamondbacks since then june 23rd they're five and eleven five and 11. they at the in on june 23rd after the sweep of arizona they were tied with the dodgers in first place and a west they are now eight games back the bullpen has allowed at least one run in nine straight games and they've only hit three home runs in the last six games two of them manny machado's so while the padres have been struggling this way since june 24th let's take a look at the at the dodgers just in the month of july just oh by the way so it's not a direct apples to apples comparison in terms of number of games because remember the padres are 5 and 11 in their last 16. but the dodgers so far in july in their last 10 alex explain the numbers 9 and 1 15 home runs 50 runs scored and as a team they have a 2-7 2.77 era the dodgers have won 11 of their last 12 and they've won seven in a row right so padres 5 and 11 in their last 16 dodgers have won 11 of their last 12. so this is why you go from being tied for first place on june 24th to all of a sudden finding yourself eight games back so here's what padre fans now have to hope for because now this is all based on hope gosh i gotta hope tatis comes back and man when he comes back i gotta hope that he's really really right and while i'm hoping that tatis comes back and he's really good you know what else i have to hope i have to hope that the dodgers find a way to fall apart and don't hook that do not or don't hold that and scott in the same stretch since june 23rd dodgers have played more games because they've had really no off day 14 and four fourteen and four versus five and eleven and there's your eight game swing right there right there i mean the dodgers i don't know if they're going to go through a 4-11 level swing but they're going to have a dip because it's again baseball but yeah i've turned my attention away from what they're doing because now they're too far ahead now i gotta go wild card i've gone wild card now wow it's two minutes fast too super fast turn around i don't know if there's another fast turn around it could be a slow climb to to bounce back and crawl your way back into the division but i just think you know the dodgers they're going to win 100 plus games yeah i think the padres wherever that kind of team so listen up we all said it in the beginning of season you know expectations might change by the way as a season runs its course but the expectation and the hope is that the team the padres make the playoffs once you get there you'll see what you you know you'll figure it out once you get there but the way this team is trending is not a playoff team that's kind of what it looks like at the moment and by the way and look the opposite direction and the way the dodgers are trending not only are they a division winner because san francisco doesn't really pose the threat that they did a year ago the padres don't appear to pose a threat we obviously know colorado and arizona are meaningless the dodgers are likely going to run away with the division and the dodgers are going to focus on winning the world series i mean there's already the conversation out there about yankees versus dodgers and who's going to win the world series i mean that's because the dodgers are running away i'm not saying that there aren't other teams in the national league that could pose a threat i'm just saying that right now as we sit here today padres don't appear to pose a threat right and you know the padres are facing the bottom of the nl west they haven't done well against colorado but when you say you say threat you have to win a division yeah yeah right not they don't they pose the padres pose virtually zero threat to win the division okay i wouldn't yeah uh okay i mean i'm not saying that they can't listen if if all of a sudden clayton kershaw gets hurt again um if if all of a sudden tony gonzalon gets hurt for the dodgers and can't pitch and and if if mookie bets you know something else happens to him and he can't play uh and if trade turner pulls a hamstring running the bases because they've had one thing they have had they have had injuries so nobody saw their pitching staff doing what they were doing to start the dodgers they have had injuries so if they get a couple injuries like we've gotten yeah they may come back to earth or or they may maybe not so the the the one major injury that the dodgers have had obviously is walker bueller who really wasn't pitching as well as he normally did and then the all-star uh you know game is coming this upcoming weekend you know the season the first half will come to an end then monday will be the home run derby and then tuesday will be the game but you know the dodgers are going to also i believe gain a lot of momentum from the all-star break because it's at their home ballpark and i just think that there's going to be and they have sunday off yeah that is weird dodgers well because they probably have to who are they playing um angels in la well in anaheim okay because they're probably prepping everything for dodgers in anaheim yeah look the dodgers um two guys one guy kershaw the other guy gonslin both named to the all-star team i'm of the opinion that gonslin should be the starting pitcher in the all-star game because he's had the best season record wise and he's on the hometown team we all know that will myers got extra consideration when the all-star game was hosted here in san diego six years ago i only know it was six years ago because it keeps popping up on my timeline on facebook telling me that it was six years ago um but i believe godzilla should be the guy who gets the start i know there's a case to be made for kershaw and i wouldn't be upset if kershaw were the starter he's the best pitcher of the generation for the franchise and it's in you know dodger stadium so if you wanted to go with the more symbolic ceremonial start for kershaw rather than the guy who's really earned it in godzilla i don't really have a big problem i know a lot of people talk about this kid you know who it's lining up for to start is it the kid in miami the marlins picture joe mosco oh stop it why are you saying that alex stop because he pitches wednesday and that's it it will be kershaw because it's la he has been the linchpin of that franchise through all and it's dave roberts all the large signs he's not our manager but so he can start the game all right well hold on we'll we hiked torrey pines and um we just walked from torrey pine state beach we walked south till you get to the stairs uh anybody who ever walks on the beach up there would know what i'm talking about there are thousands of people out there it's incredible and then up the stairs and up to about to the north golf course of torrey pines and then back down the hill and then across over to carmel valley road whatever um so we had this like nice like six mile walk hike and uh and then from there went right to i thrive and get down to i thrive and i know you guys were already there shout out to my man al long who was in the house uh tommy tommy came dr sunny and ali g came it was really great to see everybody and hang out with everybody but at one point everybody was talking and having a good time and i'm sitting there in the chair and i kind of i leaned it back you know i was i was reclining my feet were up and i started kind of like dozing off a little bit you know i just started my eyes are starting to close get heavy it wasn't kinda well but you know what brown i was thinking myself like i can't like nap here if i were here by myself i would just nap 30 minutes put the iv in me i'll wake up i'll be completely refreshed but everybody's talking and everybody's having a good time so even though my eyelids were getting heavy i was like i i can't just like nod off you know but then you stop it stop it you were i took this picture of you i was next to you bro it wasn't you didn't make a choice the body made a choice for you that's a nice way to put it oh i can't fall asleep you didn't choose that your body was like we're going to take a break it wasn't some oh i shut my eyes for a second bro you were stone cold done out you were done how long do you guys think i like passed out for though do you guys think i've like i wasn't staring at you but by the time i caught you you didn't wake up for a while yeah and i was sitting next to you taking pictures right i was like i was like i bet you browner's taking pictures from over here to my right and i think as i'm just starting to doze off a little bit i think alex is across from me also taking pictures at least i thought you were no and and and if you put that baby you saw browner doing it i was like i don't he's got a closer view than me yeah you put that picture back up on the screen look at how long ao long is not looking at me how long is looking across at you alex or dr sunny or ali g or whoever was sitting across and i am like passed out that's the most uh f1 i've ever talked i think out loud oh my it was such a heavy f1 conversation yikes yeah that was a that was a long f1 conversation that's funny it's a good time yeah so hey anyway why did i just get a shot in my arm now and i'm out i'm on my way i know yeah for alex for whatever reason like the doctors they're like he doesn't have veins he the dude has no veins he's like a teddy bear no the veins are there they find them they poke them but then my veins are like what's this and they like retreat yeah they like pop out it's the weirdest thing the weirdest thing so now i just get an injection and they put all of it in just one little shot right right up my arm yeah yeah the next thing i got to do what i throw you know i talked to him too because i'm going to vegas uh for labor day weekend yeah i actually was talking to the assistant not dr frey and i was like can i take these to go and she said yeah we can figure out ways that you can like come buy them and we'll give you a we'll give you like the needle thing you just got to inject yourself and i was like i'm going to do that can you can you inject yourself with a needle do you think you can or have you we was it me and you browner they were talking like there's no way you could inject yourself yeah we had a long conversation there's no way in hell i'm sticking myself with anything with me i don't mind i don't mind either they they've actually sent me home with uh needles that are already filled with testosterone and i the only thing that's hard is to get it like in your tucus you know it's just it's kind of hard to shoot so they tell me that you can actually shoot it into like your leg you know it's like a nappy plug yeah but i just i haven't done that i just i keep trying to get it in my tuckus but i think i would inject myself but you know until that needle comes out i guess you don't really know but yeah i think i would yeah you can do it you can do it yeah it's great doctor almost injected me with like like a heavy duty needle too she's like oh wrong needle good thing i double check and i was like yeah good thing you doubled that that was a big sucker dude yeah a big old needle man i um i have to do one thing that i thrive that i'm a little embarrassed about but i'm gonna do it and i'm gonna i'm gonna tell everybody about it because i figure if i'm embarrassed and i'm gonna do it then other people are probably also embarrassed and maybe this will inspire them to do it also i have a varicose vein in my left leg and it's embarrassing it's like right on like right above my knee yeah right and so like when i was a little kid i remember my grandmother and i remember like seeing her legs and there were varicose veins on my grandmother's legs what's that bro big green lines no they were like purpley lines you know and my grandmother had these varicose veins god restaurant grandma i really wish i didn't just google that oh there it goes veins oh yeah dude i have this varicose vein it's it's right it's it's right above my my knee on my left leg and chances are no one can even really see it you know but i can see it absolutely and for some reason can everyone see it have you guys seen it you can see something no one else can see you think everybody can see it right i feel like everybody can see this and i feel like i'm gonna walk in and like people can be like yo can you cover up your legs because you got that varicose veins spider web thing happening on your left knee and i'm like totally self-conscious about it you know so that's something so what are you going to do what like what do you they remove them well so they actually it's funny because i got an email from them just the other day uh love your legs again this is like i mean this is like i don't like learning you know what i mean um let's see always listening yeah uh let's see here um love your legs again vein therapy and i thrive veins you know blood clots spider veins that's what i have spider veins that's what i have i have a spider vein it's gross go ahead well i was gonna ask you what do you guys all have something that like you're super self-conscious about that you're not sure if everybody else sees it that you'd really like to get fixed in your life no like for me this is it my varicose vein that's it i got nothing no you're perfect man you're perfect not perfect not perfect every single way not perfect i'm just overly confident [Laughter] i would probably not need to get this varicose vein fixed if i just wore longer shorts you know instead if i would take off the john stocktons and put on the chris webber's i'd probably be a lot better off hey man where are we going to vyori oh uh i don't remember alex we were supposed to we were going to do an interview with the dude who mark loretta hooked us up with the guy who was the minor league oh he does all right well we got a few hey brian i'll tell you something else we got to do i talked to jason findlay this weekend from callaway our la our long drive competition is going to happen yeah our long drive competition is happening at the callaway test center when uh not this friday but probably the next friday i need to get some practice wings wait no no not that friday probably the next friday because that next friday is is opening day so this friday i can't do it because i got some all-star festivities something or other i'm involved in in la then the following friday is the opening day of del mar then the following friday i want to say that's july 29th ish that's when we should go do it okay that gave me time to get some swings in i gotta go buy a club yeah don't go buy a club go uh go go go to a driving range and just use their clubs rent one yeah just it's fine i do that yeah anyway all right listen um for those of you that are just getting with us we are we were talking about how the padres split this weekend against san francisco but that doesn't really help them because they're splitting against a team that's behind them in the standings and by the way the padres are at home all the while the dodgers are at home and they're on a nine and one run in their last 10 games and alex i want to say you said it was was it 11 of their last 12 or something like that rogers yeah they've won seven in a row 11 of their last 12 and they're 14 and four their last 18. right so and they're pulling away from the padres in advance of the all-star break so i think all padre fans hopes are tied to when tantis comes back offensive hopes offensive hopes yeah will the padres get the the the bats going because tatis now is back and adds a huge bat to the lineup again my question has been this all along if he comes back i'm gonna start with if not when if tatis makes it back this year if cause i'm gonna guys tell me if i'm wrong there is no guarantee that tatis is 100 gonna make it back this year no guarantee uh uh i gotta go i gotta go charles barkley guarantee here i guarantee he will be back okay ain't got no choice yeah i got a question for you will he be back in time to potentially impact the playoff race or will he come back with 30 games to go because the padres are already out of it and they're like well you know what we might as well just play him you know get him some hacks if the padres are definitely out of it with with 30 games to go that is another monumental once in a century collapse no it'd be their questions right but like that would be a month if they're already out of it with all of september to play that is another monumental collapse that means that july and august went about as bad as it can possibly go like they just kept going five and eleven five and eleven five and eleven i mean they're off to a horrendous start here this month obviously here's the good news and they're super beat up like super beat up which doesn't help their situation like i think they were already a thin roster and not when you got injuries to guys that you weren't even expecting that much from like a will myers or lyca has on kim and profar now you're like wow like that the major league depth is just not there it is just not there when when you have two guys play on a sunday afternoon against san francisco in a game where you really should be going for the series win and there are two guys in the lineup that i'm telling you right now hardcore padre fans were like i don't know who either of these guys are mm-hmm you know i don't know who some dude named rooker is and i don't know who some dude named baton is i mean and when i say it like that but i just when i say it like that i just say it like this it's not they're not top prospects you knew who cj abrams was you knew who mackenzie gore was these were your top prospects that we were waiting to make their major league debuts these are names of guys that i just don't think many padre fans even back in the day this isn't manny margot this isn't hunter renfro these weren't guys that you're ready to start seeing you know guys you guys that are filling in lineups in aaa 27 year olds 28 year olds i always give minor league baseball players an opportunity without judging them because i don't know them because there's so many players who've been doing so many things and a guy can just come up and just feel it yeah so when they omar mazzara is a perfect example of that like no mar mazar has come up here and he's filled in in right field for will myers admirably probably better than what will myers has been able to do two guys in the lineup i don't know i'm like oh let's see yeah but look at a guy like trace thompson i mean trace thompson man no no no no no that's not the same that's not that guy man what i'm saying is he was playing right field for the padres and i didn't and i didn't even know who he was at the time you know i literally did not know who trace thompson was and then he left i don't remember if the padres let him go but then he found himself i want to say in detroit yeah and then and then got traded on father's day to the dodgers and this guy turns out trace thompson i mean obviously his brother klay thompson everybody knows with golden state and his dad michael thompson played for the lakers but this guy was like a aaa hall of famer but it never quite converted to the major league level they took a guy off somebody else's scrap heap and he's become a contributor for the dodgers throughout this this run that they're on i have a trace thompson is enemy number one right now okay trace thompson that jerk .071 in san diego nothing when he when he was here and now he looks like an all-star in la again and they let him go too like oh that is so frustrating dude we've traded robberies and canoe for a dollar yeah like i don't whatever we want to do baseball move wise let's let's rock and roll baby let's rock and roll you know what's happening whole thing go ahead go ahead i'm saying they're they're they're accumulating all this money that they're about to have to give to joe musgrove so any cash consideration is is welcome right now yeah um actually we talked about musgrove getting into the all-star game here in one second but just as a side note it just occurred to me just from i just got reminded last night um my son and i and rachel all went to have dinner together this is a real rarity that the kids are joining the girlfriend you know and um we went to pcg it's close by the house um you know just was going to sit at the bar and just have a couple appetizers my back is to the door i'm watching the yankees red sox game on the tv my son is sitting across from me and he goes my son says you'll never guess who just walked in i said tell me he was aj preller i looked over my shoulder and that preller was standing there at the hostess stand and i mean there's not a person in this restaurant who knows who aj preller is nobody there's there's nobody in there he's not walking through the restaurant people oh look who padres general matter he's the most unassuming physically right you know he's not shawn marks right he's not he looks like he works in an office shawn marks the next gives like six foot ten you know like yeah aj is not that yeah and my son who who works at the rancho valencia resort in rancho santa fe he'll call me at night he'll go guess who's here i'm like who he's like bruce bochy's here i'm like awesome you should go up and say hello and introduce yourself you know oh no i don't want to bother i'm like well that's kind of cool okay right on so my son sees these people he knows who they are like bochy celebrity if you will at least in baseball preller walks into a restaurant nobody knows who he is nobody stops them nobody says hey aj way to go man nice job and my son's like are you going to go over and say hello and i'm like no no my back is to him he's going to go have dinner with whoever he's here with what am i going to do go up and talk to him about trades you know yeah no yeah no yeah no no yeah yeah i don't think so aj how you been yeah how's how's the jumper yeah no no no no it's going in yeah so you miss talking to me once a week on the radio yeah no no no no yeah no yeah no i don't i like talking i like talking to everybody who who like is cheerleading not people who are critiquing well do you remember we we once because they were so bad when we were interviewing them once a week that we just were like hey let's let's do a non-sports interview with aj and let's talk about other things i think it lasted like four minutes yeah he was not interested or doesn't or doesn't talk about other things other than baseball he's like i'm here to talk about baseball because they're making me right so now if you're not going to make me talk about baseball then why am i here right and we're like we don't want you here either because you're killing our ratings because the padres are terrible and you are an awful radio guest and you're a nice guy really nice guy very nice guy you know just a horrible guest on radio has you been has he gotten better have you heard of an interview with him i haven't me neither do you think he's one of these guys who's bad so you don't interview him well he's intentionally bad because he doesn't want to say anything yeah yeah he's like i'm going to suck at this so you guys do not want me back right oh speaking of interview remember how we just went on and on about manny's interview last week with with the reporters yeah on friday before the game he did another one because he got he was the starting third baseman for the all-star game super nice super chill super like yeah we could talk about this all you want like yeah that's like well yeah i'm great i was reading an article today this is this morning i was reading an article in the la times where a reporter i think it was dylan hernandez we should get him on the show this guy would be great on our show tiller hernandez is a reporter for the l.a times and i guess he's in the i guess he's become like a real thorn in everybody's side in the clubhouse so he's not well liked apparently and this is just based on the way i'm reading his article and he's telling the story about how freddie freeman did not make the all-star team and i i think i may have told you guys but if you're in downtown l.a and you're across from the staples center across the street um there's a giant mural it's got otani freddie freeman and i don't remember who the third player is but it's like a big giant mural to promote the all-star game coming to los angeles and i'm like ohtani 100 he's going to be in the all-star game freddy freeman a little presumptuous like if you were to put mookie betts clayton kershaw somebody like that on the mural i'd be like okay you know what i think we can assume mookie betts is going to be in the all-star game i think we can assume clayton kershaw is probably going to get a nod to get into the all-star game freddy freeman kind of presumptuous didn't make it so i was reading this article in the l.a times and um i guess the the reporter goes into uh the clubhouse and asks um freddie freeman about this and freddie freeman starts screaming in the clubhouse that uh that he's the worst reporter that he's ever had to deal with in all these years say again alex did freeman start crying um well that's what he's saying the worst man he goes for a guy that's kind of never treated me like this in atlanta right here listen he says here's what he says um here's here's exactly what he says you talk about like players like taking it out on the media um dylan hernandez here's his column good thing he's still hitting a simple question about whether he was ticked off about not being chosen for the all-star team freddie freeman came unglued on sunday quote come on that's a terrible question hernandez writes i thought it was a pretty good one considering freeman looked as if he was unleashing his fury on baseball's pitch to him in the 11-9 comeback over the cubs he made a statement with his four-hit performance blah blah blah he says the next thing i knew freeman was barking across the clubhouse about how i was the worst reporter he's dealt with in 13 years in the major leagues i guess he hasn't met bill plaschke yet but he says he goes freeman hit with tears in his eyes in a recent visit to to his old home in atlanta hit again on sunday and learned of his snub so maybe none of this matters but man if i were andrew friedman i'd like my 162 million dollar number three hitter to be more emotionally stable he pretty much says he's not he's not emotionally stable this isn't freddie freeman yeah freddie freeman did to the dodger reporter what manny machado did to the padre reporters just making things difficult slash just calling him out in his home in his clubhouse the worst reporter i've ever dealt with in 13 years well guess what you're not in atlanta anymore jack you know you've stepped up to the big leagues of media pal anyway all and uh we'll catch up to you guys tonight on television hey fellas we haven't talked about the all-star uh teams that were set yesterday and i guess from a padre perspective not a big shock that manny machado is is in the all-star game he was the leading well he was one of the leading vote-getters at third base wasn't he i think uh yeah aronato was was leading but manny's in and he's absolutely deservingly so i mean no matter how annoyed i was last week at manny and his his uh clubhouse antics with the reporters his performance has been outstanding and and i think heath bell said it best last week when manny machado got hurt and he missed however many games it was 10 or so now you see where the padres problems are because you should be getting them up honestly he should be getting more mvp love because you see what happens when they don't have them you know when he's not 100 when he's not hitting like he is clearly the most at least important player on any team in baseball right now he has been far and away the most important player on the padres 100 i mean it's not even close i think it's it's manny yeah yeah were you gonna say absolutely should get a vp vote yeah i don't i don't really i don't know where why that push has been silent like we should start the mvp manny talk now you do it i just did it i'm not doing it why who you got i'm not here i'm not campaigning for manny machado to be mvp because honestly here's the thing because we go back into last year's argument no no well it just gets back to one thing that browner says all the time win that's all win okay and so they're winning well but here's the thing you know you say it all the time about like well bryce harper was on a losing team last year he was one of the finalists was it was it ronald lacuna that was also one of the finalists or was it one soda that was one of the finals all on losing teams so i'm not about to have like some big manny machado campaign for mvp when the padres are where they are right now if the padres win something then i think you campaign for me listen i'll give you an example davidson years ago when ladainian tomlinson was really really in the prime of his career for the chargers we i'll i'll use the phrase campaigned for for lt to win mvp how do we do it man they played monday night football games or sunday night football games biggest games of the weekend chargers versus chiefs qualcomm stadium we had in in the section 15 in the east end zone we had a big giant banner that said lt mvp we produced records um with bands about ladainian tomlinson that al michaels and chris collinsworth actually aired on television and they talked about how lt had taken over the town and taken over the league we campaigned for him because the chargers at the time were winning they were going places a campaigning for manny machado because he's having a really nice statistical year on a team that appears to be trending downward right now i don't know listen you you keep saying all the things you say about ohtani you say the exact same things about machado so since manny machado has been wearing a padre uniform uh they've been they've been to the playoffs once bubble i know and now they they melted down last year and now they're in a position still here competing for a playoff spot ohtani has never done that so they're not the same in the conversation like they're not we're not having the same conversation manny machado's team okay how many playoff games has otani been in zero how many has manny been in for the padres maybe for the project maybe maybe three three oh seven seven maybe eight okay against the dodgers right yeah so how many has how many games behind are the angels a lot oh yeah they're they're toast the padres are in playoff contention the angels are not like they're not the same but if but if the padres do not make the playoffs this year and manny machado has an mvp caliber season that would be exactly what otani did a year ago or might even be doing it again this year yes otani's going to win mvp again yeah like just because like he may not win cy young but the hype honestly but it just goes to show like we've had this discussion last week i think the angels are the six and oh when he pitches and like six and 20 when he doesn't like in the last however many x games so i think the argument could be made the same for for otani like where as bad as the angels are how much worse would they be without him well i mean you showed us last week an amazing uh graphic in his last five starts he's 5-0 his era is under one blah blah blah i mean it's crazy but you looked at the other uh 31 games that were played or maybe it was 26 games that were played over the course of 31 days and the pitching staff and the angels are 5 and 20 or 6 and 20. so they were 6 and 20 when he wasn't pitching and they were 5-0 when he was pitching think about how bad the angels would be if they didn't have ohtani's pitching and his bat so i don't know broner if you want a campaign for manny go for it dude um i'm not i'm not playing his pr guy leave that to the padres anyways so what man what up what i won't i want my players successful the same way i was yelling for tatis to be the mvp last year i'm doing the exact same thing for manny machado because the award means something to the organization it means he's going to opt out and get more money it ain't my money i don't care or you can leave well if you don't care why do you then why then why you then why have you been so anti-pay that man all year i mean joe musgrove you got to give manny machado see and here's why if manny if manny machado wins the mvp he deserves the money okay uh but if if joe musgrove wins the cy young that'll get him to bump adrian gonzalez online because he's now a dodger analyst and so because he's now more of a dodger than he is a padre padre fans hate adrian gonzalez so the day that manny machado leaves the padres and only plays five years of the 10 years and goes somewhere else padre fans will begin to hate manny machado eventually he ain't leaving though come on man he's loving him this home yeah a lot more dude there'd be a lot more money out there than 30 million a year you think player that's only 31 31 years old yeah maybe but if they're if there is more money he gone but is there 150 million more out there no because it's a total of 150 right but it's it's a five-year 150 million dollar deal versus a five-year 200 million dollar deal if he can make more money he's gone that's a real possibility like it is a real possibility so i i don't think padre fans are talking about it yet because it's still after next year and a lot can happen but it's a real possibility that he can test the market lasted now 35 40 years after the fact if joe musgrove signs long term with the padres he can do what a guy like jimmy johnson did which is i'm from el cajon i'm a superstar in nascar now i can open up car dealerships in my hometown with my name on them and it means something to people joe musgrove can open car dealerships like john elway did in denver he can you can franchise his family's exactly right he can open up you know restaurants he can franchise his family's coffee name the whole brand though seriously and i'll guarantee you that that is what the padres are trying to sell him on is you are from here and you can be generational here or you can go play somewhere else and have a nice career but when you come home you know your former major league ball player joe musgrove who in what world wow what i can't figure out about this list is so russell wilson changes teams and you know who he was in seattle and you can look on paper to what he's got in denver but in my opinion there are so many factors when it comes to russell wilson this season there's who he is what he is as a player brand new head coach brand new offensive coordinator brand new teammates on a team that's been down for a while it's just interesting that russell wilson gets this sort of nod new ownership yeah deshawn watson two years ago if you told me he was a top 10 quarterback in the nfl i'd say yeah that seems to be pretty reasonable but yeah he didn't play at all last year and he's not probably going to play the first half of this year so how deshawn watson's on this list i'm not sure i understand okay who would you put uh who would you take out let's do that who would you take out who would you put in oh that's not necessarily where um that's exactly where but who would you take out who would you put in because i would obviously put lamar jackson in i will obviously put kyler murray in and i would obviously put justin fields in there well um i wouldn't put kylo ren and i wouldn't put i would put lamar in i think you have an mvp winner someone that carries the ravens offensively i think he is the office i would probably put him honestly i would probably put him ahead of burrow i'd probably put lamar like number five i agree well brown earth i would take dak out yes and i would say and i would take russell out who would you put in kirk cousins come on all right see you now you okay okay okay but at least kirk cousins has the numbers to do what get overnight most passing yards ninth most touchdowns only seven interceptions that's a fair argument let me ask you this if you're gonna put uh justin fields in there uh kirk at ten can i can i put two in hey man if you wanna flame out yeah go ahead if you need everybody speaking nice about you all season because you suck yeah go ahead i i would not put kyler marie in there yet really no okay kyler murray is a really nice young up-and-coming quarterback in the nfl and he's had a couple of decent seasons but i don't think he's a top 10 quarterback yet okay so who are you putting in there carl i'm looking i'm thinking about derek carr i don't think so i you know i'm not i i you know how i feel i like derek carr very much i just don't but now you're running out of people i know i know i am i'm looking around i mean i'm not gonna put matt ryan on there he just went from atlanta to indianapolis and he 02. uh i'm not going to put on what's the guy's name what's that white guy's name he's a quarterback in tennessee what's that white guy's name yeah white guy yeah yeah tannehill's terrible like if i'm doing if i'm if i if i'm doing like a legit rest i'm taking russ out and putting lamar in yep and i'm putting lamar at five at five and everybody can just go down after that anyway but then i got no problem with honestly if you just look at numbers dax got really good number he does got really good numbers so i understand the dak argument i'll fight back with the kirk argument right if we're just going to look at numbers right and not on field like team success then then yeah kirk cousins is a top 10 quarterback in the league right statistically yeah if you're doing statistics between the two i would rather have kirk cousins than doc prescott it's a really interesting list to have desean watson on it and not have lamar just makes no sense it was like we had to get a black guy well i mean it's it's hard to believe that deshaun watson just walks right back in and picks up where he belongs where he left off i guess guys do it i mean guys do it they come back from injury right um but again with with deshawn you're going from one team to another team you've got a new head coach that you've never worked with before a new offensive coordinator you've never worked with before a you know a roster you've never played with before and that's why russell wilson and deshaun watson to me you know those two guys are are questionable listen i'll say this i don't know if everybody thinks matthew stafford is a big deal on this list but i just say that he had all the numbers in detroit like kirk cousins has in minnesota he never won anything because he was on a terrible team and in his first season with the rams say what you will you got to give the man his credit he's a top ten coin statistically though kirk cousins and dak prescott had the numbers and they had more winning they had more wins matthew stafford had numbers and no wins oh right and lamar doesn't really have impressive numbers as far as throwing the ball it's the fact that he also runs it but it's but last year he had a very bad yeah no he didn't no he got hurt he got hurt played 12 games before he got hurt the first i think was eight weeks six weeks maybe six weeks eight weeks i think it was they were first in the conference obviously the statistic the numbers don't look good because he runs as much as he throws and that's part of the style that's part of the attack and i think that's why he gets knocked a lot because people remember his throwing motion and they don't consider him a top 10 thrower but he makes throws and he runs better than anybody else in the league so it and that also leads to him getting hurt but i think lamar jackson deserves way more credit like on this list who's got mvps who's got them he does uh aaron rodgers tom brady patrick mahomes yeah so those are three top those are guys in the top five yeah but i mean you look at burrow and herbert those are the guys that are like the next and josh allen those three guys they're like the next generation you know joe burrow is older than lamar jackson that may be the case i mean in terms of age but in terms of years in the nfl he's i think he's got fewer years well yeah yeah yes that's true but age-wise joe burrow is older than lamar jackson so lamar jackson has more football ahead of him maybe than joe burrow does he's already got an mvp he's already won we all agree we all agree i think we're arguing all the same you gotta take russ at this list and you have to put lamar in this list and press we all agree on that and deshaun watson yeah oh yeah there you go i would i would i have more of a problem with watson yesterday's wimbledon final and i'm uh all of it most of it i i when i say most of it i picked it up i probably picked it up in the third set so i i'm gonna tell you i put probably a good two hours in and i was doing other things while it was yeah tennis matches yeah can be long i was doing a lot of other stuff while i was watching it but it was on and the reason i i started to watch it is um about a week or so ago i think it was when was it rafael nade was it nadal who who beat the kid from san diego um yeah and nadal had to retire so he couldn't even play in the semifinal match to get to the finals and so the guy who um who got into the finals without even having to play in the semifinals was this dude from australia how do you know how to pronounce his name is he jurgos or do you know does anybody know i'm not really sure i know how to pronounce the kid's last name i'm sure i could figure it out anyway i know i haven't watched tennis i'm telling you guys i'm not exaggerating i haven't watched tennis at all since like the sampras agassi days i have not watched tennis at all guys like yokov uh is it djokovic is how you say his last name yes nadal and i'm missing somebody else there's there's nadal there's djokovic and there's there's one other guy pete sampras no no no no federer roger federer all right so federer nadal and and djokovic these three guys they're like the dominant superstars of men's tennis okay and and truth be told i mean seriously i'm not trying to be a jerk here i'm being serious i'm not into tennis i don't play it i don't watch it etc so these three guys have dominated probably the last 20 years of tennis and their careers have like gone i've not seen any of it i mean like literally i don't know i don't know men's tennis at all so a friend of mine was telling me about this guy this australian guy whose name i'm trying to remember curious curious thank you cheerios not curious very close not cheerios very close not cheerios yeah curious they spell this guy's name k-y-r-g-i-o-s curie ghost carrie joe something like that curios so i'm what a friend of mine told me to go have you seen this guy kyrios play and i said no i haven't seen him play at all and they're like dude you've never seen anything like this guy i'm like what do you what do you mean like what what is it about him so one of a friend of mine described it that he was in a match set point okay and he served between his legs like it was like a uh like an arrogant thing to do you know like instead of serving overhand he served between his legs won the event i don't again i don't really know much about the dude so this friend of mine says to me goes but you got to see him play you've never seen anything like this before so what is it he goes he's just yelling and screaming and fighting and scuffling the entire match i'm like what do you mean he's like like beyond agassi beyond john mcenroe like the guy just loses it so for whatever reason sunday morning i decided to wake up my own feasts be doing that who be doing that my dog moan feasts the tennis player he's a black guy he's french don't know him see i mean it happened on the court dude if i don't know nadal and i don't know federer i mean if i really literally have not watched these guys career and by the way there's people driving around right now listening on radio there are huge tennis fans that are like are you for real dude like just as a sports fan you would see just something i know who they are i know how great they've been i just don't watch tennis but for some reason this sunday after a friend told me about this guy from australia this year a ghost guy again i'm screwing up his name curious curie ghost curios dude this guy is a spectacle to watch play tennis so neither you guys saw any of it right no i saw him calling out someone a fan that's all i saw at one point in the match john mcenroe says a lot of times you take your anger out on the people that are closest to you and i don't know if it's his brother his girlfriend his wife his coach i don't know who the heck it is he is screaming in front of thousands of people in the stadium and millions of people around the world watching this and this wimbledon final he's screaming at somebody in the crowd doesn't seem to be like a heckler like a fan who's giving him a hard time it just seems like it's somebody who's kind of close to him and mcenroe says a lot of times you take it out on the people that are closest to you he is like berating whoever it is i guess what i'm saying is this i wound up watching the wimbledon final not because of the greatness of djokovic whose name i hope i'm saying correctly but because of the inability to control your emotions out of this guy curious you guys have never seen anything like it i mean this guy has all the physical talent the height the speed the mobility the game he's got it all but he can't control himself up upstairs and to watch a person melt down in front of you in that sort of a pressure-packed situation with the whole world watching i found myself watching wimbledon yesterday afternoon for two hours or yesterday morning for two hours it was unbelievable alex you have any of the highlights from this guy losing his mind on everybody this is uh the only thing i saw on twitter was him calling out a fan who he uh was assumed was pretty smashed distracting me when i'm serving in a win-win final well there's no other bigger occasion you didn't believe me and then she did it again i knew he cost me the game okay but why she's still here because she's drunk out of her mind drinks bro it looks like she's had about 700 drinks bro he's talking about marie like that you know the umpire hey buddy toughen up toughen up man you if you can't handle tennis there's no toughness you can't hear anybody yelling like i hate this about certain sports man golf tennis people can't talk while you're playing focus on the game people cheering shouldn't stop you from hitting the bright green ball yeah but if you ever watch tennis like before they serve it's complete silence you know and isn't that more intimidating than some noise yeah the noise helps you focus it helps you zero in like every i do when i i haven't watched tennis in a while but like when you do watch it like that right before serve you're like yo this is like eerie dog like that's too quiet dude at least in golf there's like birds and wind and stuff you know like yeah like but how about the nba though like if you're an nba player and you're like this fan right here this one right here they're talking to me and it's happening right kick them out of here and they kick them out here's this guy and like he's making his case it's the wimbledon final it's i'm in my serve i can pinpoint to you who it is that's heckling me kick him out you know and the umpire's like hey they came to see the match i know they came to see the match but you can't behave that way anyway i i will say this when it was over when it was over i'm not going to exaggerate i'm telling you guys a true story when it was over they interviewed this kid and instead of him being like a complete jerk he was actually very professional in the post-match interview about falling um to djokovic then they interview djokovic and he winds up saying look i got my problems with this guy and the way he behaves but man this guy just left his heart out there like he really really battled and played well and he he actually turned around and looked at him he's like dude you're gonna be a great player you know you are going to be a champion and i don't know why but watching what are crying i didn't start crying but i was like i there was something there it was like one guy you're getting your freddy freeman on one guy is an all-time great the other guy is a young up-and-comer who cannot control his emotions and melts down in front of everybody and the champion who doesn't really even like the opponent could have just said hey he's a jerk and he's an idiot i don't or he could have just not mentioned him but he was such a great sport he really was djokovic he was such a great sport and the the great sportsmanship had me like i again i wasn't crying i wasn't like like bawling my eyes out i just was emotionally moved by what i had seen and i never watched tennis ever so there you go you're gonna watch more now if this guy plays i know that he that he was like he was like entangled in controversy all week because wimbledon has the uh a very strict dress code where not right below behind here you can see but in that area there's a bunch of those but they're not directly over those are directly over well but the fight it was you know just a couple of girls now going at it a bunch of dudes trying to separate them now alex you had another fight from this weekend right now this is a um this is it so this is our this is our first basketball fight in a long time mellow jersey syracuse all right now here comes in some other people to try and break it up wow oh he's sitting right there he's sitting right there oh is that him so he's clearly yeah yeah he had a
