BREAKING: SDSU AZTECS OFFICIALLY MOVING TO PAC 12 CONFERENCE!

did you see the story earlier today that Boise State and San Diego State and a couple of the teams from Fresno State and I'm I'm missing one other state Colorado State are going to now join forces with Oregon State and Washington state in the new and I guess developing Pack 12 Conference uh my first thought is why why would you be doing that now maybe somebody's going to come up with a great answer and maybe somebody's going to make me feel good about it but I don't quite get it I mean I really like on the surface I don't get it the Pack 12 had great history great tradition when you had USC and UCLA and Oregan and Washington and Cal and Stanford they bounced they bailed they left what is San Diego State Boise State and really essentially the best four brands from the Mountain West combined with the two like leftovers the nobodies of the Pack 12 what does that do I I seriously like I would have thought it would have just been better to absorb those two brands or those two schools into the Mountain West and change the name you guys tell me because maybe I'm looking at it all wrong to me I don't see it and unless they go add some other teams of real name brand value and somebody who's like good San Diego State's good in basketball but they're not like a national power in football Boise State had their run in football but what what is impressive like what am I missing here I think you're asking the wrong question first of all glad to have you back by the way nice to see you uh thanks for encouraging everybody to uh to text me yesterday thank you I hope that everybody did and reached out to you make sure you're okay just looking out for you big dog uh you asked why would they do this that's the wrong question the question in my opinion is why not well let me ask you this question what do they have to lose you really like oh man we're leaving the mount West look at all that stuff we're leaving far behind but what are they going into the M West Conference the mount West plus yeah Mountain West 2.0 but the like I don't want that purple logo anywhere near my school anymore I've been I have nightmares about that stupid conference and their ineptitude to do anything and listen they are going to a conference that was just poached by every single other conference in the country so I don't even know what they're getting themselves into but if you are San Diego State specifically what do you have to lose like you're okay I'm not gonna go to Bo Wyoming anymore I'm not gonna go to Hawaii anymore I don't gotta go to San Jose I don't gotta go to New Mexico at least for now because that one might might that one might come but I just don't see it as an improvement and I don't see it as a loss I see it as we'll see yeah well I'm I'm I'm with you on that like I I'm like okay so you've got now I like all the names Colorado State Boise State San Diego State Fresno State Washington State Oregon State like I like all the names of these are all the state schools you know everything's got a state on the back end of it I I'll tell you this right now um UNLV now they're improving drastically in football and they have history in basketball but UNLV to me they've got the market you to me UNLV got to be part of this eventually I I think you want the Vegas Market I believe but what they've done now is is they said okay look we're doing everything we can the four schools that that were named we got to get away from to your point Alex we got to get away from Wyoming we got to get away from San Jose State we got to get away from Hawaii and schlepping to Hawaii when they're not any good there's no real value there let's get away from Air Force we don't have anything to do with those guys I understand why the four schools left and wanted to get into something bigger the only thing is the Pack 12 which is the pack two with the two leftovers they're garbage so so they they haven't to me they haven't gone into a better conference they've gone into a better name that's all the Mountain West is garbage oh this is this is the best got this is the best move possible for them name recognition is everything okay you want your your jeans from Walmart or you want a pair of Levis they're the same pants but Levis is a trusted brand the Pack 12 by name alone is a far more trusted brand than the Mountain West going into a kids living room saying hey man we gonna be on a pack we in a pack 12 now Rings far louder than hey man we're gonna keep dominating the Mountain West this is the only move that they had again when it settled for the Big 12 and all these other places they were left standing out in the cold and forced to pay a fee so at least they now get to make the move the Pack 12 will find other teams some teams may come like who we were talking about this before the show Stanford might come back like these some of these Pack 12 teams who Pride themselves on education who left are now dealing with the circumstances of playing completely across the country for other sports okay for softball for uh volleyball water po all these other sports that you got to travel across the country that don't make no money okay that's a pain in the backside you want to travel to West Virginia or you want to travel to San Diego if you Stanford like I I understand but let me ask you a question um knowing the arrogance of the academic communities of Stanford and Cal in particular those two schools don't want to be in business with San Diego State and Boise State trust me when I tell you dude dude but Boise State listen my daughter went to Boise State I love Boise State but if your kid isn't doing well in school and really wants to go to a four-year College probably get into Boise State yeah well you know that they're they're really over there with the academic institutions of NC State and uh thank you Florida State well how about about North Carolina and Duke and Virginia you know what you know what Trump's academics money cuz that's how we all got here in the first place and if it keep they keep got to empty their pocket for these Cross Country flights and Hope tails and food that's going to Trump the academic my friend yeah I think I agree with Browner on that one well I want to ask you guys this question though so so I'll just give you that let's say Callen Stanford come back you ready what does that do it's better what are K and Stanford it's better than San Jose State in New Mexico why I you guys got I I'm with you on that believe me I'm I'm not pro- Mountain West I'm anti- Mountain West
