were you ready for the offseason to be over at this stage oh yeah I've been been ready uh been ready for game one and I'm looking forward to it I know VY had you know some turnover there on defense brought in some transfers and everything what have you guys seen on film in terms of analyzing what their defense looked like last year the transfers and everything so that way you have a grasp of what they're going to do on on Saturday uh yeah I feel like we have a pretty good grasp of what they're going to bring uh to the table with the transfers and the head coach calling the defense uh and then coach Bor he putting up a good plan for us to just go out there and execute on Saturday Jaylen brought up the double positive uh that you guys have you guys focus on in practice and is that a lot of is that an emphasis for Saturday just to limit those turnovers and limit the opportunities that bander both get it offense back on the field I mean yeah you can say it's an emphasis for Saturday but it's emphasis for us every day uh coming out here and practice uh never want to turn over the ball and then just go out there and execute uh each and every day uh being intending what you do so it every day and Saturday so uh we're just looking forward to that I think it's a 11:00 a.m. local start time you guys have to do anything different with an early start time like that you start adjusting now to uh no not really I mean it was just like a 12:00 game here so it's just uh if we was playing at 12 we getting up at the same time so it's not really anything crazy pry was here talk about ali said that he's looked as best as he has last couple practices what have you seen out of him and you know how eager do you think he is to get out there after you know how last season ended for him I know know he's really excited to be back out there uh I'm really excited cuz I never got to play with him uh he got hurt before I started playing last year so I'm just looking forward to that connection that we built out here just him working each and every day making plays out here so I'm really excited for everybody to see what he can do when when we talk in Charlotte I asked you about the helmet communication you said you were very excited through fa have you gotten a sense have you gotten comfortable with it I've been real comfortable ever since we started in the spring uh I liked it since then I still like it now and I can't wait uh see how it fls over in the game coach bone still talking a lot nah he not talking as much no more I got that taken care of how's the uh relationship with you and brillan working out with him now being the starting center oh it's been real tight you see uh we just had to get snaps after practice working on wet ball drill and then he just been getting better each and getting better each and every day uh working on what uh Center got to do at WISE and then just locking in on the snaps uh giving it to me perfect every time so it's been real good having him at Center what you seen about shle picking up the offense in a short amount of time so far uh for the amount of time he's been here he's picked it up pretty fast I know uh me and the coach has been helping him uh just get into that uh getting into that Groove knowing he's going to play this year uh whether it's to run the ball or do anything so uh he's been picking up the offense pretty good he's been doing good things out here uh coach pry mentioned that at the end of last season you guys really got into a routine just on you know leading up to game dates right don't arrive going to the stadium seeing it whatnot going back to the hotel walking through your stuff what did you like so much about that routine you guys use at the end of the year that that works so well oh it's just all about imagining going into the stadium is all about imagining yourself going out there and making plays so I feel like that's what pra is doing and I really appreciate him for that so hopefully we keep that going this year just going out there seeing uh Imagining the stadium pack and then not uh just being in the moment uh going out there imagining you making good plays whether it go good or bad just going out there and moving on to the next one Le gam gets the noted left guard what have you seen from him from spring into fall Camp oh he's got way better uh just going out there working the o line goes out there every day work on something uh specific each and every day and he's just been working being a dog going at it uh with the defense you know our D line they're really good so uh him handling his own against them it shows uh that it's going to be a good thing for him Saturday the coaches said his athleticism allows him if he there's a Miss there initial he's able to recover and help people play alive have you noticed that in terms of how quick he's able to move and help recover uh I'm pretty sure uh the coaches noticed it more than me uh really I'm looking downfield uh to see receivers trying to get them trying to get them the ball so I know if it probably looked like a sack and he recovers and I appreciate him for being the athletic so the coaches probably know better than I do when we talk about your receiving targets everybody talks about the wide receivers and B but Benji I'm curious as a tight end I mean we saw you guys connect in in the military ball how have you seen him grow as a pass Catcher In Your Eyes uh really just put the ball anywhere in his vicinity he's going to catch it uh that's how he's been doing all our camp so I'm really excited for what he can show uh losing dayquan our receiving tight end last year uh so Benji got to step into that new role and he's been doing a good job at it is it fun to throw to guys who can kind of make any catch yeah just go out there get Playmakers the ball and let them go do what they do
