What We Learned From Newcastle 2-1 Tottenham

this was tottenham's biggest problem against Newcastle yesterday that resulted in a third defeat in a row at St James's Park welcome back to the Ben B YouTube channel we're going to be breaking down exactly what we learned from the Newcastle 2 Spurs won game yesterday on Sunday it was a much better performance than what we saw it's in James's Parkin the last two seasons but the same result and it was problems in front of goal in my opinion that caused that defeat more than the problems at the back but we're going to dive in to the multitude of issues that caused us problems yesterday defensively but like I said mainly I think it was going forward where we really really lack that conviction to get over the line in this result like I said a better performance but in this video we're going to be breaking down the decision making in front of goal what exactly we can learn from the Liverpool performance at Old Trafford yesterday going into our game against Manchester United in around A month's time we're going to be talking about R drason Micky vanent how exactly important he is we're going to go through the goals that we conceded obviously and the goal that we scored and also I want to talk about and this is where I want to start is high turnovers Tottenham yesterday in the game against Newcastle had 15 High turnovers 15 High turnovers in the game against newcast and james' part yesterday meaning we won the ball back in the opposition half two of those resulting in a shot our pressing game out of possession worked really really well it was a much better improved performance than what we saw at St James's Park last season and you could argue that we were unlucky to Come Away with without a result but we've only got ourselves to blame because we didn't make the most of these situations and exactly where I want to start going on from this is I want to talk about Liverpool yesterday and the difference between Tottenham and Liverpool Liverpool obviously under AR slot New Era new coach to the Premier League someone who's obviously linked with the Spurs job and I've seen a lot of reactionary kind of inflammatory comments about you know the fact that we would be better on the slot and he's the man we should have hired look there's no point discussing any of that right there's no point discussing any of that that defeat for me yesterday was not on an C Glo at all not on the way that we played not on the way that we set up nothing like that it was down to our lack of conviction in front of goal and our lack of conviction in our defensive uh game as well in some areas but I want to talk about Liverpool yesterday because all three of their goals it's very funny right just before I was coming on to stream I Was preparing these screenshots I was going through all of the I was going through the Liverpool goals yesterday and someone tweeted me this as soon as I put a tweet out saying that um I was I was going live my response was this and let me just zoom in so it doesn't show the Liverpool goal my response was this all three of Liverpool's goals from high turnovers we created more High turnovers and more dangerous situations than the one Liverpool scored from it should have been an Annihilation and I couldn't agree more someone tweeted me that and if you're in the chat now you know who you are literally as soon as I was while I was preing the preparing these screenshots sorry I can't get can't my words out today um first goal poor pass from C obviously the uh Spurs fans point of view it was nice to kind of Revel in Manchester United's poor performance yesterday after you know a defeat from Spurs it kind of brightened everything up a little bit and you know Liverpool were great to watch and I think will be a real threat this season but the difference between Tottenham and Spurs and Manchester City and Arsenal is that conviction in the final third that's why is there that's why there's that gap between those three teams and the rest even Aston Villa potentially as well they have that more than us right now and obviously the fact that we haven't got proper strike at the moment in do in domanii in terms of him him being out injured um and we'll talk about that as well because I think there was a massive Gap kind of filled by his absence yesterday we really really needed him and really really missed him even though we played well I thought going forward but Liverpool's goals Ryan Graber wins it back decision making people getting into the back post converting the chances but again Le Diaz Robin casemiro over there McAllister quick pass into Diaz let me just hire myself here Salah brilliant ball into Diaz fantastic finish again mallister robs it off of Mayu and look again at the Players they've got springing forward Tottenham created as good opportunities as this yesterday to score against Newcastle but we didn't take them we didn't take them and that was the problem that lack of conviction in the final third is what cost us yesterday and there's been a lot of people that have kind of been frustrated a little bit with the transfer window and while we didn't go out and sign that kind of Marquee Winger someone else that's going to help improve us in the final third in terms of that conviction I understand that I do understand that I've seen a lot of people kind of even writing off people like Wilson odar after the performance yesterday which is I think is nonsense obviously he had a couple of chances yesterday and a couple of moments and we'll talk about the chances that Spurs kind of spurned um uh yesterday and that lack of conviction that we kind of showed but it's not you know we shouldn't be in a position where we're rioting off some of these players but I do think you can make the argument to suggest that we should have signed players maybe with a bit more conviction in those areas more readymade players like Liverpool have got um if you're if you are uh there's a comment here from Jay Andrew says look at the age profiles of Liverpool's attackers and Spurs attackers and you see the difference absolutely look Liverpool You know despite the fact that Arie slot is new to the Premier League the reason that he's been able to kind of come in and make this immediate impact is because you have got look at that front three L Diaz Moos Salah and Diego jotto that is absolutely devastating and they are experienced players in the Premier League so that is what I want Spurs to be in the next couple of years I'm not you know I'm not one of these fans that expects us to be in a tit race to be challenging with the likes of Liverpool Man City and Arsenal right now I think on a on a one-off game I definitely think we can you know beat one of those teams obviously we've got Arsenal up next we showed how impressive that we can be against some of the big boys last season with those draws at the Emirates and at the etti had as well we beat Liverpool at home obviously in funny circumstances of course but in one-off games of course I think we can we can we can kill these teams and I think we're going to man united in a few weeks time and when you look at this and you look at the way that Liverpool play in terms of their press Spurs were doing exactly that yesterday like I said if you go back to this um 15 High turnovers with only two resulting to a shot that is something that has got to improve by the time we go to it's got to improve ASAP you know arsenal brenford of the next two games but when you go to Manchester United there is a real chance for points to be taken off of them because they're so unconvincing and I want to talk about man united in terms of this Paradox of pressing high and also um dropping so deep when you defend and I I'll come on I'll come back on and talk about that when we get to spurs' High Line because I want to I want to get on to that but I want to I want to um have a chat about what some of you guys think as well um but I want to talk about yeah I want to talk about a lack of conviction in front of goal and the decision making El Dante says I enjoyed our high press and high turnovers me too mate horsebox says ideally son and slanky start for us they can take their chances absolutely and look Sonny was playing I thought Sonny actually played quite well in the first half when he was out on the left I think he looked confident taking on liver obviously had that nutmeg the foul um at one point I'm not sure if that was from livero actually I think it was from another player potentially but um I thought Sony looked good on the left and again if you've got that focal point up front I think it's a different story for Spurs yesterday obviously Dan kazki I thought struggled a little bit in the first half to kind of get in the game but also um also in the second half I thought when he actually dropped that a little bit deeper and we'll come on and talk about um the setup uh shortly uh because we did a lot of analysis on on Saturday night before the game about how Newcastle and how they'll kind of um set up to try and stifle us almost when we do attack um and they did exactly that yesterday but I thought Spurs were able to deal with it a lot better but we still did get caught on transition like we did last year for the second goal but again we'll come on and talk about that a little bit um later on uh Matthew cap says that's the thing we're in a full rebuild full rebuild and making progress I don't understand the Panic salanki plays yesterday and feel like we get another goal at least I agree with you mate look I understand again it's it's a it's a funny situation at the moment because I do understand the frustrations of C fans I do get that because ultimately as a football fan it's it's it's hard to always look forward kind of into the future um and be like well we want to see improvements now and I think we are seeing improvements like if you look towards and I'm going to shout out Travis from Le white lab for this I'm pinching his tweet but he he kind of brought it to all of our attention and you look at the kind of the the difference in performance from when we went there last year we had actually slightly less possession than we did at St James's Park last season we had more shots we had nearly 50 touches in the opposition box 58 final third entries we won the ball back in the opposition third 15 times as I mentioned with that graphic before and we played 42% of the game in their final third so it was a notable Improvement on last year like I said it just comes down to that lack of conviction in our attack right now uh but again like I said when sanki comes back into the team I think it's a different story I do think it's a different story but we have seen familiar patterns in the last couple of games and obviously sanki was on the pitch um in that in that Leicester game the most touches in the opponent Box by a team in the Premier League uh in in a game in the Premier League this season um Spurs against Leicester and Spurs against Newcastle two games in the top five for us and we didn't win either of those games obviously sankis it was his first game against Leicester you got cut him a bit of slack he had a few chances but he definitely you know he gave us a notable presence up there and I think with the chances that would have fallen to him yesterday I think we win that game 100% Totten are the first team as well this season to with 20 plus shots in to have 20 plus shots in the game and lose and like I said I just think a lot of it kind of comes down to that decision making this is the thumbnail obviously I use this example on the thumbnail uh for the video um I couldn't there was a compilation that I took this from that actually got taken down so I was trying to watch the game back and find the buildup to this but I've got the screenshots here from what I sent when we did the thumbnail Sonny here he's got to get his head up in my opinion he makes a brilliant run kind of driving at the Newcastle defense Brennan Johnson who we're going to talk about a bit more um had a brilliant impact when he came on I think this is just before the odar substitution for verer drives at the heart of that Newcastle defense he's got to get his head up and play it to Sony there instead to Johnson there instead he carries on his run and tries to get a shot off at the goalkeeper when you've got two or three Newcastle players that are lining up to block that we'll go through all the Spurs kind of chances now um Kazi here who I thought like I said had a had a really good impact on the game um when he dropped deeper I thought he was good um but again it was there was a moment towards the end of the game where his decision making really really let us down it reminded me of a moment last season when we played West Ham away and we had a Counterattack in the last minute of the game we played totally the wrong pass um KFI drives for here drives into the space which I really like gets out to Johnson deflects across to the back post and one thing I was critical of OD bear with and and crit and so was the co- commentator yesterday was whenever when Johnson came on we were able to really create dangerous opportunities down this right hand side but we didn't have players gambling at the back post to get in there and the one time odar did obviously makes a bit of a mess of the Finish but it was it wasn't a difficult one maybe he could have gone with his head there again with odar I thought there was definitely bright Sparks with him yesterday on that right hand side I do think he adds a different Dynamic to our attack I liked what I saw from him overall but maybe he could be a little bit braver in certain situations but again he's 19 years old and I think that will definitely come again he's obviously being trusted by the manager being given opportunities um but this one obviously didn't take yesterday but it was good in that example to see our players actually gambling because there are plenty of examples where we didn't this was the chance at the end of the game I was just talking about kesi fires it into Benton core his pass is intercepted by burn but it comes back to Kazi and he drives forward with it here and again Brennan Johnson who was brilliant in that second half the you've got Johnson there you can just play that easy pass to slip him in where you've actually got Runners into the box these are the situations that Brennan Johnson is made for you know and you don't slip him on you try that Hollywood pass to sonor Vera that is the perfect opportunity to slip it into Johnson to create that kind of cut back or low ball across the Box um that uh that Johnson kind of thrives in those situations and you know people are critical for Johnson I want to put up a tweet um from yesterday actually because I think there was a moment where uh Johnson fired the ball low into the box that um f some fans weren't happy with because it's almost like he did it on Instinct and there was no one there um let's get let's pull this up uh now this tweet here does does BJ I mean when we're doing this about our own players I think they're kind of the witch hunting around Brandon Johnson despite the fact that I don't think he started the season the best at all um even look up before he crosses the ball Johnson does the right thing there in my opinion you need to have Sonny peeling towards the six-yard box and you need to have Teo Vera or odar I can't actually remember who was on the pitch at this time getting in there and gambling on it I tweeted this and I'm sure you guys have seen the video of Ryan Mason where he's kind of explaining pitch geography and what that means um in Spurs training in another video um I said you can't blame this on Johnson it's on Sonny and mainly verer or orar like I said couldn't remember who's on the pitch at the time to get into the right areas Ryan Mason talked about Pitch geography the lines and the areas on the pitch do not move so it's Johnson's responsibility to put that ball in the right area and it's down to the other Winger to get into that position it's not going to happen every time of course and I get why it comes across as aimlessly smashing the ball across but in my opinion Johnson doesn't do anything wrong there and I think when you've got Johnson countlessly getting into getting himself into these situations where at this moment in the game in the last minute where you can go and grab a draw where you actually have got Sonny and verer looking like they're making the right um right action or right run towards the goal to not use Johnson in that instance I thought that was infuriating from Kazi in that moment um but again like I said I don't want to you know I don't want to come on here and just slag everyone off and say that we were rubbish and you know things have you know taking a turn and I'm turning on Angel this kind of stuff but that like I said that that's why for me that defeat yesterday an poog in my opinion coached a win at Newcastle yesterday and you can see why he's getting frustrated look Spurs have to have more conviction in their defending which will come on to talk about but when you're getting these situations when you're get into these situations in so many instances and your attackers are making the wrong decision it's is must be incredibly infuriating for the manager um but like I said it makes a poor pass again High turnovers here Johnson brilliant wins the ball back uh runs and this is what this is what I love from brenon Johnson yesterday because I think he did a lot of the things that Spurs oh sorry did a lot of the things that Spurs fans have actually been quite critical of him for he draws I think I can't remember if this is LS Hall on the pitch at the moment or or not whether that's Anthony Gordon draws him in and goes around him and look at the space again there this one's unlucky look son's in the right position at that moment but it's a good bit of Defending what I did like was Spurs taking pop shots from the edge of the box when you've got the quality of James Madison I think Pedro porro had the most amount of shots in the game yesterday um and one thing and again I believe if if Travis is here I pulled up his tweet earlier in the Stream Lily white lab do some great work so make sure to go go and follow them I remember they they wrote a thread I can't remember what it was last season and they brought it back up again this year about Spurs need to take more long shots Spurs need to take more shots from outside the box when you've got the quality of James Madison who forces a really good save here from Nick Pope and again Pedro porro who again forces a save from Nick Pope this was at the moment where we were putting them under a lot of pressure Newcastle that was really pleasing to see yesterday Pat matar had a few um as well that first half again one of them straight the goalkeeper I think he had one saved it around the post Spurs need to do that because it is hard to break down Low Blocks right let's go to the tactics board because I want to talk about Newcastle setup and you guys who watch the stream will know um what I'm talking about here um when we did this stream on Saturday when Newcastle were defending they go into kind of a 541 um a lot of the time jolton kind of tucking in or maybe it was long staff actually kind of tucking in there to make it a five and then Kelly and burn kind of come Central you've got gimar I and joling and you've got Barnes who is tucking in really narrow along with Gordon who's tucking him really narrow and isak high up as that focal point which means they can spring forward on the counter attack so when Spurs kind of get themselves in these positions um you know it's hard to it's hard to kind of it is hard to break down a team like that of course it is um so that's why you want Spurs to take more chances like that from the edge of the box and look Pope pulls off for kind of a few really decent saves but that is a really hard kind of block to break down but when Newcastle do step in if a Defender steps out to win the ball back um Newcastle can spring forward with Gordon and Barnes and they did that a few times yesterday but they didn't hurt us as much as they did last year and I think Spurs were better set up defensively to handle it again The High Line which we'll come on and talk about um but I I think that's why I think that's why I was glad to see Spurs taking more kind of r or Chances with those shots from outside the box because if you go to the goal which which that actually did come from um it's a it's a it's a powderpuff piece of goalkeeping from Nick Pope and you never know what's going to happen look if I just move my camera there so you can kind of see the full shot Madison gets into position unleashes a shot Nick Pope spills it Brenan Johnson is there to get on the rebound obviously it's an own goal he for and goal but that's why you want to be taking these shots against a keeper like that who showed a bit of vulnerability and like I said when you've got players with the quality of perro and Madison outside of the box to be able to take those shots from range that's something that I really like that's something that I you know I like what I'm seeing from this Spurs team that's trying to break down Low Blocks there was a lot of stuff that I saw that I liked yesterday from Totten like I said I think an poog coach to Victory it was just down to that conviction in the final third and like I said I'll come back to the Liverpool example and again this Liverpool team is more experienced they've got more quality in that attack but that is what Spurs can learn from over the next you know year two years kind of in the three bu again arsenal were the same it takes time this takes time to you know kind of get that level of conviction in the final third we've got attackers that can show it it's just about actually doing it again those High turnovers which Spurs had so many of yesterday and creating these situations where you're going to score a guarantee goal every time um so yeah frustrating but of course um you know stuff to be positive about and stuff to learn from we'll talk about the goals that we conceded uh and the defensive side of the game next um I just want to come to some of you guys in the chat and like I said make sure to like the stream And subscribe by the way guys thank you so much for getting me over the 5,000 subscriber Mark obviously we've got an international break coming now um but I've still got a lot of videos planned obviously there's going to be a big buildup to the north London Derby in the next couple of weeks so let me know what you guys want to see building up to that I've got some ideas already in terms of what we can do some tactical bits in terms of how we set up for the game Etc that will all come but please let me know what you guys want to see on the channel over the next couple of weeks um so let's go to let's let's get some of your point of views uh let's get some of your uh point of views in the chat um Andrew brownman says do the inverted fullbacks steal the space to be creative when we're dominating possession we look better when we're running and using the space on the turnovers I think both of those things can be true I think we're naturally dangerous on turnovers because of the pace we've got in transition but I also do think porro and a doggy massively add to our creative output um for sure I think there's a lot of fluidity especially with kazki who drops a little bit deeper he can drift out wide and allow porro to maybe come inside a little bit more um and Johnson to kind of do his thing as well so I I I get what you're saying but um I get what you're saying but I yeah I I I don't think so I don't think it limits our creativity uh MFC says yeah right no chance we beat Arsenal playing like that look I think we'll create chances against Arsenal obviously they haven't got Dean rice which someone um someone brings up in the uh in the Stream here um Jan yanis says without that I want to see Madison kazki in Midfield and son salanki and odar up front versus Arsenal I would like to see that as well but again it's going to be I think you do naturally have to Li be being maybe a little bit more cautious but again this is and po I don't think maybe he won't say it that way maybe will smell a bit of blood but I do worry about because again Arsenal is so much more mature in their development tactically than where we are at now despite I think despite the fact I think the signs are good and like I said in attack I think um Harry Brooks said it on Twitter yesterday he was getting asked about the game he said Spurs get into superb areas varied with variance and consistency there's just not enough quality when it comes to the crucial moments and again if Newcastle had given you the chances that they give you yesterday maybe without de R I think we have seen a little bit of a you know a bit of a vulnerability in Arsenal's play so far this season despite the fact they have looked good there will be chances for Spurs but again hopefully with salanki back and Sonny playing out wide we will get into positions where we were able to punish them or or certain situations where we were able to punish them with that added bit of quality um Sam Cornish how you doing mate have you made hope you made it back all right says basuma benor keski Midfield um Matthew cap says doggy isn't back to his level from last season yet disappointed bit I feel like we'll turn it around yeah I I agree I I do agree L got he's had a long layoff as well and I think it comes to maybe a little bit of kind of mental fatigue and we'll talk about that when it comes to the the second goal um obviously hopefully will'll have van vanen back as well for that North plan and Derby but let's talk about the Newcastle goals then um Romero obviously goes I think it starts from a Newcastle set piece um we we deal with it quite well and that was one of the things yesterday a lot of those numbers that um went against us away at Newcastle last season I think we actually flipped and reversed it quite nicely like they had a lot of set pieces last year which they caused a lot of problems from they didn't this year we had a lot of set pieces which I actually think we posed them a decent threat from to be honest I actually think we have seen a bit of an improvement in our defensive setpiece game and our attacking set pieces G uh setpiece game as well and I think we saw that yesterday um but again I think Romero goes searching for the ball which I don't mind that at all him going out pressing that ball goes out for a throw in Spurs just switch off a little bit which again is poor and again a lot of people BL blame this on Romero look you guys know how much I love Christian Romero and I don't want to devoid him of any blame because I think he definitely sees what's happening here and can make that dart back to get to Harvey barns but you've also got a doggy and porro there and OD bear who can also try and shut that down down that danger it's a great finish from Barnes it's obviously a frustrating goal to con seeed because I think we've done really well and we got on top of them again this is one of those things again microcosm of the Leicester game in both Hales here where we get on top we had that period after you know the official got injured the spars had that period of dominance and then they go and score a goal like this which is preventable and it's soft it's just so frustrating and then we'll come to the second goal here actually before we do that I want to talk about R drusin and kind of this High Line um for I thought draim did really well yesterday but we'll come on and talk about why he did play a part in that goal unfortunately um ball down the line here from liento um let me just move this across sorry you can see Romero on the halfway line obviously Isaak can't be offside because he's in his own half dragon steps up Romero drops deep Romero did get done in the channel a few times just but naturally he hasn't got that pace of vanen drasin here does so well to get back he does so well to get back and make that tackle but again SP Spurs naturally with The High Line and I want to talk about this because I made a Tik Tok video this morning because I've seen a lot of people saying that an should almost abandon The High Line and that's why I want to come back and talk about man united as well because I don't want to steal all of his points but Travis leveron made a really good point on Twitter today um about about um The High Line and it comes back to this this uh this man united Man United Liverpool game yesterday because if you look here at man united if I just if I just get rid of myself Liverpool are able to turn the ball over really well because they press high right they press High let me see if I can just move oh move that screenshot across you can't quite see it here but United are defending so deep and you're just allowing those Runners that Liverpool have got to attack with such Devastation and pause those moments you can't you can't press high and defend deep because you leave so much space in your Midfield they go they don't go hand in hand you need to press high and play with that High Line like I said Aston Villa play with a very high line Manchester City play with a very high line Liverpool play with a very high line those teams are going to leave themselves vulnerable in transition we actually saw that with Man City against West Ham West Ham looked really dangerous on the Counterattack on Saturday but because Man City have got so much more conviction when they go forward they're able to get themselves in positions in games where they go one- nil up and they're able to just calm things down and then control and dictate the game from there they get the second goal as well um that's what you know Arsenal would been so great in the past going one n 2 N and then they can sort of just control the game that little bit better from there not allow teams back into it whereas Spurs are just not shown enough conviction in the final third at the moment but they go hand inand in terms of pressing high and playing with that High Line um and we'll come back to the goal here Madison you know Spurs are pressing high and I come back to those High turnovers we did that really well yesterday but didn't make the most of them again I'm not going to put too much blame on Madison here for this because joling is a very strong midfielder and he kind of gets mused off of it um and then it's one pass that is just our undoing this screenshot is just before um Jolan kicks the ball Romero steps up porro is in line with Romero a doggy is in line with Romero as well but drasin drops that little bit deeper when the ball is actually kicked a doggy is probably just about playing Murphy offside as well but drasin goes with isak and plays Murphy on side and look I don't want to I don't want to have a bad word said about drason yesterday because I thought he actually had a really good performance but this I think and again I thought Jackie account made a really good point about this on Twitter earlier and it's something that you can only really see when the dust settles because look this is an ugly goal to concede right when you think of kind of the basic fundamentals of football um and I understand people kind of calling for an to go back to basics a little bit maybe not play as as risky and don't play as high at the pitch but it's the way that he plays and if you want the high pressing and you want the higher turnovers you have to put up with this as well if ven's on the pitch we don't concede from this because one vanen has got the game smarts and the experience under Posta cogo to hold the line with Romero and not drop drasin has only played about 10 games in the system so naturally as a Defender he kind of wants to go with eak because that threaten behind is there and obviously plays Murphy on side and he squares it for isak and we know what's happening look it's an ugly goal to concede it really is because no one wants to see one pass like that cut for you on Midfield and it's a preventable goal but I do just think if Mickey vaner is on that pitch I don't think that goal goes in one because say say you know say for example he is just about offside but they leave the flag leave the flag down because that's what Lono are instructed to do Murphy goes for on goal vanen has also got the recovery Pace to get back and maybe make a challenge there which to be fair we saw with dragon he does but again vanen will be where Romero is and Romero will be where Dragon is so vanen can actually go with with Murphy if you're putting vanen in this exact scenario in terms of where he would be but also like I said that awareness in terms of The High Line you know so I I do I am Chris from the UK there says are you not worried that the system doesn't work without vanen yeah I am I am to be honest but again with dragon with more game experience with playing in the Europa League Etc I think he'll have more awareness of maybe where to be and again there's been there was a bit of a shift in the defense yesterday and again I come back to a doggy look a doggy I don't think has started the season on the best I thought he had a good game against Everton but a few defensive mistakes yesterday and against Leicester but again he's been out for such a long time hardly had a preseason so I think ad doggy will take a while to get kind of back up to the Rhythm where we saw him last year um so yeah look it's an it is an ugly goal to concede and I don't I'm not making excuses at all because I was I I was annoyed yesterday I was very I was annoyed after the game I was annoyed that we considered in that manner I was annoyed that again when you come back to the statistics and the domination that we had in terms of possession and the fact that you know the most amount of touches in an opponent Box by a team in the Premier League game of the season against Newcastle and then against Leicester as well I'm I am frustrated that we're not turning this dominance into into um into into results that's that's really frustrating it is really really frustrating 66% possession like I said two big chances 20 shots 12 Corners 500 passes um you it's just is it is of course it's frustrating of course it is but anyone that's calling kind of for change or anything like that now I think it's just crazy I do think it's I do think it's crazy um let's go to some of your let's go to some of your questions before we or your comments before we wrap up like again I know this is hard to do this after a defeat I know look in terms of my point of view you don't get as many people in here kind of wanted to talk about it and you know it is it is hard to kind of come on here and talk about a loss because you really don't want to be too negative but also you do want to highlight what's going wrong at the moment with this team but what I will say is that there is there there are still a lot of reasons to be positive in terms of the way that we play and it is going to take a while to get to where we want to be on the Range and I just don't think maybe some people are as prepared um for that as as they as they should be if I'm being honest but like I said I'm not going to you know I put a tweet out yesterday um that got a lot of interaction and it got some interaction from again certain Corners kind of of this fan base online in terms of I do think people are almost I think there's people out there that are kind of wanting to be proven right about an and that they don't rate him and don't back him and are kind of using these defeats for fuel for that and just perfectly and use it perfectly kind of as a reason to ignore all the positives because there were a lot of positives yesterday and again when you think of Richard with salanki coming back for the Northland Derby as as hanad says there and vanen coming back for the North and Derby this system can't work as well without those two players and it look it's unfortunate they've picked up injuries but yeah it's just um it's just it's he's frustrated I'm frustrated but I think even after yesterday even after defeat like that there are positives to take in my opinion Travis welcome mate I was actually I was talking about you before and some of the things that you said on Twitter I think I think you're spot on with a lot of it mate um football lover says we were awful we really weren't we really weren't awful we showed poor conviction I thought in the final third but that is again something that can be improved upon and again like I said I come back to this Liverpool side and people are saying which clicking so quickly for Anie slot and again it really is but you look at the age profile as someone highlighted earlier of these attackers the experience that they've got you know when they turn the ball over just like we did yesterday we had more threatening chances from turnovers than they did it's just going to take that little bit of time it's going to take that little bit of time but we've got more than enough quality to you know beat the teams that we should be beating but it's again in these games these big games like Newcastle away and po Arsenal as well where those fine margins come into it and it could you know it could be another defeat against um against Arsenal but I really hope it isn't and I think there are there are reasons to be positive going into that game um but yeah that's let's kind of come to some of your comments um Bale W says part of Vicario looking shake it comes from static players about movement looking to receive the ball I actually thought we played quite well negated newcastle's press out from the back quite well yesterday a lot better than we did last year um I thought basuma did well in that aspect as well um G says some people are more bothered about being right than rather than doing well I agree mate um Edwin mck says or sorry Edward knck says I feel like this fan base never gives a manager time to improve themselves um Travis yeah just sick of the instant desire to head straight for the extremities of sackings yet it's it's just it's generally not even worth talking about anything like that but it's um it's we yeah we are all frustrated but I think um I think we're in a good place and I think we're going in the right direction but look again I do understand I do understand some of the negativity but I just think going to that extreme is is is is crazy um sorry sorry football L okay fair enough mate sorry I didn't I didn't say I sometimes with the comments obviously where other people's coming through you kind of missed the context but no you are right mate yeah uh guys says Newcastle one of the best attacking sides in the league this point to can see slop your goals but I can see us being much more solid this season van lanky with huge misses yesterday I agree I do agreee mate and look that's where we're going to leave it for today we're going to be back we're going to be back next time we do one of these we're going to be talking about a North Lon Derby so prepare yourselves for that like I said there's going to be a lot more content coming on the channel between now and then let me know in the comments please and in the chat now what you want to see over the next couple of weeks we got a few things in mind there's going to be a video tomorrow where I'm going to be ranking every Premier League team's transfer window in a tier list so that should be fun a bit more light-hearted content and you know I think we all need this International break a little bit it's been a long summer with the euros and the transfer window um and um and with these first few games but like I said a lot of positives to take a lot of things to work on uh and we'll be we'll we'll be fine we'll be fine we'll be fine okay I promise you that we will be fine um I hope you're good hope you have a good rest of your day hope you have a good week and up the Spurs nice one thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe
