more is on your plate this summer compared to last year I think it's just always trying to you know get better I mean you're going to try to expand your role each and every season to try to help the team like last year is mainly you know just fullback stuff and a lot of special teams this year I'm going to try to you know help the team in any way I can and that starts with you know knowing as much as possible with Playbook so okay media we you know don't get to focus in on every part of of practice but just um it seems like there's maybe a little more 21 year would you say that that's the same or was about the same as last year yeah I'd say there's a little bit more 21 this year we're going to kind of expand the package a little bit hopefully throughout the season even more so um yeah I'm excited for that Jerry Jones raved about you yesterday in availability did you get a chance to see that and what do you kind of think whatever that's n I'm kind of tuned out to social media right now just focusing on Ball but you know just trying to you know be myself and you know put good stuff on film like coach always says your film's your resume so and looking back on last year fumble in Miami and then being able to bounce back from that and have a really good off season how have you kind of just been able to put that away and move on I in the next play I'm you mean down for a little bit but we always talk about that neutral mindset and uh you know you can't dwell on and dwell on the past so where does that come from for you that's all how I was brought up you know um living in the present I mean you can't you can't uh live in the past you can't live in the future you got to live here and now so what's it been like being around Zeke he's a character but you know he's so knowledgeable in the running back room like he the amount of stuff I've asked him with as far as like pass protection and what he's seeing on you know different blocks even when I'm not when I'm in what he wants me to do I mean he's been you know awesome in that space how can you quantify his impact on the room I mean he's just another another veteran in our in our running back room that you know can give advice he's he's always positive no matter what time of the day it is which is nice too so and he's a great addition when you're trying to pay running Lanes as a lead blocker what are you looking for what your mindset hit my aiming Point run my feet score with Man don't let him make the tackle Mike McCarthy was saying that he felt that they you've been showing some things that they weren't sure that you had as far as some of the Cross training at tight end and some of the other things they asking you to do can you talk about that a little bit and did you always knew you had that versatility in you and you just had to be in the right situation or just how it's coming yeah so I did quite a bit of like the cross train stuff in college and then they filtered me in a lot during the Spring you know just with some why stuff and I mean I've been doing a lot of H stuff this this entire time I was here so I mean it's just learning The Playbook being confident in my stuff and knowing what I can do and put out there and you know I think just confidence is key and he was saying last year too again in in Camp when you're doing all that didn't show a lot but as soon as the games came that's when they were going okay we can we can use this guy what what's the difference in where you were in Camp early last year to where you feel you are now yeah I think just as a rookie I mean I think a lot of rookies heads are spinning that camp but you know it's just about your I mean were you kind of going wild yeah it was a lot at first but you know you just got to stick to the Playbook you got to you know have some long nights and early mornings and you know you got to get that stuff down when when the confidence clicks I mean I mean everything seems a little bit slower a little bit easier so what's it like having fans know your name and yelling out your name and wanting to come over and sign autograph systeman it's it's pretty cool uh yeah it's great to see you know fans out here in Oxnard and fans pretty much everywhere we go so talk about the confidence clicking when did it click you think um I'm not I don't know if I have a direct like or exact moment um it's just stuff just starts slowing down for you when you're out there on the field your your pass your pass uh keys are a little bit easier to to see uh you see a lot more looks which is a lot easier on your plate the more looks you see um I think the amount of walkthroughs that we have um during training camp and during the season really help out a lot as well you're pretty even killed you're described as consistent the same guy every day what get you excited get to see my wife and kids are they here they're coming out next week so it's been the been the longest I've been away in a while
