IS ON THE UPPER EAST SIDE. TAKE IT AWAY. >> GOOD MORNING, CHRIS. I CAN'T HELP BUT THINK WITH THE STRETCH OF WEATHER HOW LUCKY WE ARE TO ENJOY THE KIND OF WEATHER. I KNOW A LOT OF FOLKS MAY PREFER IT WARMER. LAST YEAR YOU WOULD ARGUE IT WAS TOO WARM. YOU REMEMBER THIS, RIGHT? BY THIS POINT IN THE MONTH WE WENT THROUGH A HEAT WAVE, HIGHS IN THE UPPER 80s AND LOW 90s. BY CONTRAST THIS MONTH SO FAR, 80s ARE TOUGH TO ACHIEVE. WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO. MID-60s RIGHT NOW IN THE MOBILE WEATHER LAB ON THE WEST SIDE. A LOT OF YOU WAKING UP TO 50s AND 40s. I WANT TO SHOW YOU THE DIFFERENCE IN THE DEW POINT NUMBERS. GOING TO GRAPHICS, THE TEMPERATURES WENT DOWN BUT THE DEW POINTS WENT UP. THE BIGGEST NUMBER IN THE CITY LEADING TO MORE AVAILABLE MOISTURE TO WORK WITH, MEANING FOG IS BACK IN PLAY TODAY. NOT A WIDESPREAD THING YET BUT WE ARE GETTING THERE. HEAD'S UP MAINLY SOUTH OF 78. A DENSE FOG ADVISORY. TOMS RIVER TO EDISON. YOU SEE IT THERE. GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE GOING. OTHER THAN THAT, NOT MUCH ACTION IN THE WEATHER. MAYBE A TOUCH MORE HUMIDITY. IT FEELS WARMER UNDER THE SUN BUT NOT TOO OVERBEARING. YOU MAY REACH FOR THE WATER BOTTLE AT TIMES THIS AFTERNOON. JOHN, YOU ARE TRACKING AN EXTENSION OF THE PATTERN. HOW DOT WEATHER WATCHERS FEEL ABOUT IT? >> THEY ARE LOVING IT. SO MANY WEATHER WATCHERS LOVE TO BE OUTSIDE AND CHECK THINGS OUT. THEY ARE DIGGING IT. I HAVE AN 11-DEGREE SPREAD AS FAR AS THE OBSERVATIONS. WHEN I LOOK AT THE NUMBERS COMING IN, I DON'T HAVE ANY 40s THIS MORNING. THAT IS A CHANGE. IT'S A SUBTLE CHANGE. IT'S DEFINITELY WARMER OUT THERE. THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. IT'S POLICE WOMAN'S DAY. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO. SCHOOL PICTURE DAY. THAT IS FUNNY. AND, YES, TONY'S WIFE IS GETTING UPSET. SHE WANTS HIM TO CLOSE THE POOL BUT IT'S STILL OPEN. NOTICE A HINT OF COLOR, STARTING TO SEE THAT. NOT A BAD POOL DAY. THIS IS FROM MICHAEL. A STUDY IN LIFE. WHAT A LOVELY WAY TO TELL THE PICTURE, SUCH A SIMPLE THING TO DO. A FOGGY PICTURE. WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THIS. YOU CAN SEE DEFINITELY MORE CLOUDS OUT THERE. SO, WATCH OUT FOR THE FOG AS WE COUNT THE DAYS. 10 DAYS UNTIL FALL. 10 DAYS UNTIL FALL. WE ARE GOING TO SEE THAT WARM UP THE NEXT FEW DAYS. SO, FEELING LIKE SUMMER. THE NUMBERS WON'T FALL UNTIL NEXT WEEK AND THAT WILL BE ALONGSIDE SOME RAIN, YEAH. THE RAIN, WE NEED TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. BIG RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE IS SERVING UP DELIGHTFUL WEATHER AFTER WE MIX AWAY THE MORNING GRAY. SHOWERS UPSTATE NEW YORK. THAT'S IT, THOUGH. NEW ENGLAND, DOWN TO THE MID-ATLANTIC, YOU ARE FINE. SOUTHEAST A DIFFERENT STORY. OBVIOUSLY FRANCINE IS MAKING LANDFALL AS A TWO. 45 MILES PER HOUR WINDS. LOOK AT THE PANHANDLE FILLING IN. THAT WILL LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLOODING. RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER FOR GEORGIA AND PARTS OF ALABAMA. LOUISIANA INTO MISSISSIPPI. SOME OF THESE ESTIMATES, SEVEN TO 10 INCHES OF RAIN. LOOK AT NEW ORLEANS. OVER 10 INCHES OF RAIN. SO, THAT WILL BE CLEANUP. WE ARE GOING TO SEE WINDS SUBSIDE AS THE STORM TRACKS TO THE NORTH. WINDS AT 45 MILES PER HOUR. IT'S MOVING NORTHEAST AT 12 MILES PER HOUR. AWAY FROM THE FUEL OF THE GULF IT LOSES ENERGY AND MAKES THE BEND BY FRIDAY. PARTS OF WEST TENNESSEE, ARKANSAS AND MISSOURI FOR MOISTURE. WE MENTIONED THIS BEFORE, THAT'S THE RAIN CHANCE NEXT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. POSSIBILITY OF DEVELOPMENT HERE. WE NOW HAVE A MORE ORGANIZED AND BETTER CHANCE OF DEVELOPMENT WITH TROPICAL DEPRESSION SEVEN. THAT WOULD BE GORDON AND THIS IS STILL CLOSE TO PEAK TIME. WE ARE OVER THE HUMP BUT JUST BARELY. SO, WE WILL BE WATCHING GORDON. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE THAT TROPICAL RELATIONSHIP TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. THAT'S A LITTLE BIT OF ENERGY BREAKING AWAY FROM FRANCINE THAT WILL RIDE UP THE COAST. IF YOU GOT TRAVEL PLANS MIDWEEK NEXT WEEK, RAIN COULD SLOW YOU DOWN A BIT BUT IT MAY HELP THE BACKYARD BECAUSE WE
