Robert Telles GUILTY Of First Degree Murder | Need To Know

[Music] it took about 10 hours more deliberation than it needed to do but we're there Robert Tellis is a guilty man that's what a jury of his peers decided in court yesterday found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Las Vegas Review Journal reporter Jeff gearan in 2022 the jury found that he had premeditated the murder laid in weight and attacked Jeff gearan In Cold Blood and then it comes to the sentencing and you know you Jeff's Family explaining this type of guy he was and like all you hear he's a hardnose reporter hardnose reporter hardnose reporter and then you see these pictures of him being an uncle and uh you know it's just like there's a human behind there right right and then you hear the family of Robert Tellis speak and his wife and his mother about how great of a father he is and all this all these things and uh they asked for and got a chance of parole so he's going to have life in prison with a Chance of Parole in 20 years when he's 67 years old but and they in in every interview they're like you know he is a smart man he he's capable of change essentially saying he did it but he could be better he's 47 what do you need to 47 exactly and what do you need to not get parole like if you're texting while driving you kill someone terrible thing you did not mean to go out and kill someone that day right right DUI ridiculously awful thing you probably didn't mean to go out and kill someone that day right robertt is meant to kill him that day and did so crazy don't understand it but I don't know why it uh did take so long there I again I didn't like I didn't watch a lot of the trial just watched highlights here and there so I don't know what the defense was that would take the the jury so long but at any rate they came back in maybe they just won an extra day off work you know listen yeah $35 where you get paid being it's not a lot but uh for some people hey if you're out of work great it's paycheck uh residents of the somerset Park Community in Henderson are beside themselves being told by the city of Henderson that their HOA needs to replace their entire underground water system where residents will be forced to leave their homes and water will be shut off to the community on September 10th I happen to know someone that lives in this community I haven't talked to her in over like a decade but she reached out and she's like is there anything you can do and I'm like you got to go to the news what I'm just a bubbling idiot on the radio uh but now it's all over the news so the residents who outed information to session yesterday the city explained the situation there was a sinkhole in the community it partially swallowed a car so the city comes to try to repair it and while they're looking they're like wow this entire water system is a disaster and if you look around the community there's water coming up from everything yeah it's a mess there I'm shocked that anyone's living there uh that said the HOA is kind of in receivership they've had a new HOA for like a year because the HOA before that was so bad at finances so when the city said you got to replace it the ho is like we can't we have the money so now Anderson's like okay well if you can't do it by September 10th literally no one can live here wow and it's not rentals these are people own these homes wow that would make me really mad so mad yes wow gosh so um yeah what a mess uh hopefully something some sort of 11th Hour there Jeff Bezos hey you know shave off a couple Mill yeah goodness gracious it's only a matter of time but the family of Leticia triplet she's the woman who struggled and drowned in an lvc lvac pool for 20 minutes before assistance was given to her while that family has filed a lawsuit against the club the wrongful death suit alleges negligence saying the so-called permanently staffed security cameras that should have been monitored were being occasionally checked by the front desk worker who only looked at the monitors once every several minutes lvac has yet to give comments on the suit but yeah I mean it's pretty that's a pretty clear violation there uh there's a major problem at Legacy High School CCSD has released their weapon confiscation report and since August 1st the district is confiscated nine guns in total and more than half of them five were found at Legacy High School in North Las Vegas oh my gosh and three of them were found on campus two off campus nearly all of them were found during a football game a couple weeks ago so there are new um new security oh man yeah you have to go through like it's not just the wand anymore right like it's like good it needs to be and and if the numbers are higher maybe that's why it's kind of like it's kind of like the people we've caught at the border well then that also means you're maybe patrolling it more too which is good right um so in this situation yeah uh wow crazy just nine too many but yeah crazy and I think one of those was from a substitute teacher that dropped like what are we doing oh my gosh uh speaking of CCSD we're learning more in the case of an Eldorado High School teacher assistant who was in a relationship with a student police learned about 20-year-old Jerusalem Garcia after the students ex-girlfriend dropped a dime oh my gosh she heard from I guess uh I I think like from a family member of Garcia whatever the case the two uh the the teacher assistant and the student met at a party back in May and began dating when she was being interviewed by police she was also contacting the student allegedly where police say they were trying to align their stories in the chat she's expected back in court September 30th listen I'm I'm not trying to give this 20-year-old a pass but like so close in age she's still 20 I'm not sure how old the student is here if he's 14 gross get out of here 17 18 it's the half plus 7 rule it kind of checks out sure but she's a teacher I don't know she should not be at a high school at 20 years old no 25 minimum or you can't work at a high school the N sorry geez AG can't rent a car right North North Las Vegas we go a 15-year-old was shot by North Las Vegas Police there after they were fired upon by him while investigating him for a string of car break-ins it happened very early morning hours yesterday around 3:00 a.m. this kid is walking around the teen sent to UMC for non-life-threatening injuries and expected to be arrested after he leaves I hope they remember yeah oh did you get him oh he no check the Wendy's across the street Las
