JACKSON STATE VS ULM KEYS TO THE GAME

video throughout all social media platforms today we're going to talk about the keys to the game Jackson State versus UL Monroe I was going to release this video yesterday but I had to do some research on this team I did not want to just give you a video and and give you basic information so one thing I realized the ULM coach Brian Vincent their new head coach that is looking at the defenses he's been a part of uh it's what it looks like is a 335 defense you can say a 335 multiple so he can have a 43 look but it's really a 335 in Disguise if TC Taylor points that out and see the mismatches of that uh defensive formation I expect him to do more heavier sets probably more 12 Personnel I made a video about that using the tight ends more more three tight end packages to counter that and since Jackson state has the tight ends to run those type of formations that's going to Bow well for Irv Mulligan in my opinion you have to get Irv Mulligan going he is the injured of this team and when you have the 12 13 personnel with tight ends like jensy rileigh and you sprinkle that in with Sebastian St Louis and then you have a balance tight end and Darren Bennett who is the transfer North Carolina & that is played in games especially against solid FCS competition you could kind of you know it's like a pick your poison uh I expect TC to use more read option with Jacobi and Morgan if you didn't know he is now named the starting quarterback of Jackson State I'm not even surprised in in the least B these are the type of games where you're trying to make a name where the scouts are look and I think not only the quarterback but all the players on this team going to take Serious in this game don't come into this game thinking oh it's a FBS team and we're just trying to collect the check and I doubt that Jackson State would have that mentality uh playing against U Monroe because no offense to Y Monroe they're not World beaters but at the same time they're not scrubs because a lot of their players can beat like UL them can beat a lot of HBCU teams I know people don't want to admit that but they had the scholarships to do it and they have a couple players so JSU wins this game I don't want to hear anybody discrediting this team and saying oh any HBCU can beat L ULM because it's really tough to be the FBS school we especially we don't have the number numbers and then not just the players and scholarships but caching numbers man these FBS schools have ample amounts of ample amounts of coaches that FCS schools in general do not have unless you're uh a FCS school like a Montana or um North Dakota North Dakota state where you have state funds given to your school that no no other small school has opportunity to have but let me digress another key for Jackson State Fabian McCrae and the wide receivers must have a big game against yo Monroe uh yo Monroe it's no secret what they're trying to do they're trying to stop the run they know that Irv Mulligan is the star of this team due to a production standpoint even though uh Jacobian Morgan has what I believe a high upside they're going to do everything in their power to stop IR Mulligan so this is your opportunity the receivers of Jackson state do the best you can to get open and besides that I know how these big games are sometimes receivers when they catch the ball they're thinking about going and trying to score and then it leads to drops focus on your assignment make sure you're a good security blanket quote unquote for jaob Morgan now you want to know why I mentioned Fabian McCrae is because ULM has one star player on their team especially on defense named Carlin vigers he is a 6 to 200 plus pound cornerback he's somewhat of a Pro Prospect matter of fact he's on the recent senior bow watch list so that tells you that Scouts are going to watch him throughout the season and if you're Fabian McCrae and not just him Kobe Paul Yannis forine any of the wide receivers of JSU if you want an opportunity to stand out this is the game because there's not many opportunities left after it just keeping it real and they understand that I just believe that they're going to put in the effort to help their team win even if they don't I believe JSU will put up a great performance now to the trenches I get that first game Jitters happen and there may be some errors but there is something that they can control pre- snap penalties Kirk Ford and Evan Henry are the veterans of this team and they played a lot of college football the only thing I expect for them is limited low-end penalties penalties are Drive Killers man cuz how many times you see any team not just JSU they're making a bunch of plays let's say Jacobian just throws a 50 yard throw and it's a touchdown and somebody had a false start or something that those are Drive Killers JSU cannot afford to have that in this game and I expect the veterans ship of this team to eliminate that to be honest there should not be more than five penalties on offense from this offensive line if they are as good as I think they are and they're veterans so I'm I'm expecting Improvement if they limit that this offense will be flowing so if Irv moly get a get a long run or there's a big time play you don't have to worry about it going back because of a penalty now to special teams special teams special teams can special teams be better than last year can it be better than last year that's all I'm asking for last year's special team was trash everyone knows this and I have full trust in javancy Jones to rectify that problem uh he is most likely going to do what most cultures with winning programs do like at Alabama or Ohio State and I mentioned it on the Special Teams video that those teams had their best athletes on special teams it didn't matter if they was the star receiver or running back because you want Elite production at the Special Teams unit and you can't afford to do it just putting any player in special teams or putting a player on special teams to make them happy that uh that they're playing so they don't transfer none of that matters uh I expect the Special Teams to look totally different than last year Coach Jones is respected coach and I know he coached in the high school R ranks but he's a winner and that winning mentality will be enforced in the Special Teams unit now now to defense of JSU uh since ULM is pretty much of unknown uh with their roster there are some things I do know about ULM and their coach uh in his pass stop when he was an offensive coordinator of New Mexico New Mexico ran what I've seen I seen them in games last year on TV uh it's like the spread option I wouldn't be surprised if they try to control the Temple of this game uh to tower out Jackson State to use different run sets uh to weaken the offensive line and use their depth to win this game cuz that is their strength of this matchup the scholarship limit in the bodies they're going to be doing that and their quarterback I know he has a weird name General booty pause pause pause yeah that's the quarterback uh I'm familiar with this quarterback because he played on my favorite FBS team the Oklahoma Sooners I remember watching General on the uh Oklahoma spring game of 2023 and what I saw and I had to go back to that because he didn't play for U spring game this year but what I saw was a game manager you know those game managers who occasionally may run here and there this is why Jackson State Defense has to be alert linebackers a JSU you can't just assume he's a pocket passer you got to have your p's and q's alert for four quarters cuz if you have light coverage and there's nobody there to check see if he's going to escape the pocket he will gas one on you now he's not super fast or anything but he's a jack of all trades quarterback that happens to be a game manager and sometimes people think that game managers don't amount to anything and that they're um they're just you know they can't win them the big game but for this matchup and you seen in the swag all you need is a quarterback against these defenses to know where to put the ball they don't have to have a Cam Newton rocket arm or looking like Andrew Luck all they have to do sometimes they just need to be a Kelly Moore you remember him from Boise Dink and dunk just expect that to happen JSU line I want you to be the dogs in this game do not get punked by these offensive linemen of ULM this is not Georgia and they may have uh you know prototypical size in some positions but you're dogs too and just like the receivers having an opportunity to be looked at as Scouts you do too so take that as as a challenge I'm excited to see the tandem the DB tandem of ACI guty and all corn State transfer DB Robert McDaniel when I tell you this is no fly Z on I want you to come right back to this video after the game and tell me how that tandem looks because they will stand out that's my word you talking about two long range DBS who can hit with the best of them and cover with anybody no matter if it's small receivers or tall receivers at 6465 these two DBS are dogs and if all the other DBS can rise to their level it increases the chances of JSU winning in conclusion if JSU limits the turnover play sound football this will be a win and a historic win because when is the last time a swag team beat a FBS team don't worry I'll wait so if they accomplish this no one can take that away from I can't wait for this matchup let me know what you think this is raw truth media
