be talking about a team that once beat another team by 222 points uh so love talking about the the rambling wreck and uh when I first started getting into college football back in the late 80s early 90s Georgia Tech was winning national championships uh and even after that George O L had them going uh pretty damn strong there in the late 90s early 2000s and then Paul Johnson the great Paul Johnson running the flexbone we need the flexbone back in college football uh he did great things as well winning a couple orange bowls or making a couple orange bowls uh we're a great run there oh yeah oh yeah we're going to talk all about this year's team break down the offense defense special teams go game by game on the schedule uh but before we do that uh I want to tell you that uh if you're probably wondering just who the hell you're listening to and that's fair my name is kobby swinging dead to Bas Dad aka pick d d AKA cap Bozo that's not a pick this is a pick he was raised in the land down under where a man thinks on his feet speaks with his fists and lives by his wits when D happened he was a superstar he's the kind of guy that would drink a gallon of gasoline so he could is the result of that he just makes your campfire better does he does he [ __ ] your campfire up yeah I'm assuming that you're standing around the campfire and just like fire is being blown into your face maybe I don't know you would think the fire would follow you maybe you know to a bad area turn his dick into a blowtorch that's the kind of guy you are yeah I don't know if Brett guy is that Brett key is that type of guy but uh I don't know where this conversation's going it's going off the deep in the start uh I am joined by my co-host give it up for former former JMU Duke defensive back talking about this for a long time I mean somehow Georgia Tech finds itself in the far background in this conference realignment picture despite being an original member of the SEC and being in the biggest city of any of this teams that are in the conversation for realignment and winning a national championship in the cable TV era yeah you know what I mean like that like TV networks are just changing the sport every single day and you would think they would look back I know that was like early cable TV was like first decade of cable TV or or so but still it was not that long ago yeah uh I mean like I said they played in Orange Bulls in the 2010s they played in in M major games in with George O L too if you've looked at the trends in recruiting the state of Georgia the amount of talent has only skyrocketed now Georgia despite being significantly smaller from a population standpoint is nipping at the heels of you know California Florida and Texas in terms of being the number four most talented State look I hate to say it on this podcast but look at the Georgia Bulldogs you know they they managed to put a fence around the state and lo and behold that's that's kind of all they really had to do to establish themselves as the premier team in college football Atlanta is probably the most talented City in the state of Georgia obviously just put a FS around Atlanta and you're GNA be a nationally relevant team and they've been that you know maybe with exception to like their first you know couple Seasons but like you look back 1901 undefeated season 1905 undefeated season one loss in' 04 by the way but uh then it jumps to undefeated season in 200 or I'm sorry 1915 undefeated season in 1916 undefeated season 1917 with John Heisman as your [ __ ] head coach right one loss in 18 uh one loss in two 1920 in 1921 right one loss in 27 undefeated in 28 Patty C then uh then they go through a little Gap but they still have some winning seasons then uh 4 in 1947 they're 10 and one they win the Orange Bowl right 51 they're undefeated 52 they're undefeated one loss in 55 one loss in 55 one loss in 56 all right one two three four five straight years under Bobby do did they win a current New Year six game whether that be orange sugar or Cotton Bowl six straight years of winning those bowl games they had they they had a nine- win season in 70 with Bud Carson all right you could go all a nine- win season with Bill Curry in in 85 and then Bobby Ross wins a national championship at 90 11 and0 right and then George George O lry 10 wins in 98 you know nine in 2000 then uh you know uh once we get to once we get the Paul Johnson he wins 11 in 2009 they lose the Orange Bowl but then they win the Orange Bowl in 2014 I just don't understand it this program should be rolling people tend to forget but I hate to say it I tend to forget you know what this program should be at certainly what they're capable of like we just reviewed as a Virginia fan I can tell you that the horrors that Georgia Tech has you know bestowed upon our poor University there uh yeah Georgia Tech is a what should be a Powerhouse program unfortunately they've fallen off you know I don't know if it's the academics or the the circumstances as it is but they just haven't been a to get it going it's easy to see a tied turn uh well Brent key got him his first full year as a head coach he got him to a bowl game and they won the bowl game we're going to talk about that in a second but first I want to tell you uh you are listening to the college football experience part of the sports gambling Jeff Collins it feels like he's been there for a lot more than one year obviously he kind of has because it's really his second year kind of at the helm but only eight games his first year so this is his first full off season and season or I guess last year was and yeah seven and six a great a great start there not only seven and six you look at like I mean they're probably kicking themselves for that Louisville game where they were up at halftime I think it was and then Louisville just stormed back in the second half and got the win uh they lost to Bowling Green kicking yourself just because of that yeah um but they kept it within eight with the Georgia Bulldogs yeah so it's a major step in the right direction got got one of the most hilarious wins in program history uh against Miami yes yes that's true that's a good point that is one of the best wins ever uh a good win against North Carolina shellacked UVA they had a nice end of the season one they win five of their last or four of their last six so yeah yeah got UCF in the bowl game and and when are they going to go back to that logo Patty see which one are we oh yeah the rambling wreck that thing is a thing of beauty they do this stupid deal where they play at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium um I can't help but think someone shared this on Twitter the other day when they blocked Florida State's kick under Paul Johnson and returned it for a touchdown on the final play of the game yeah I can't help but looking at Bobby do which by the way one of the most classic stadiums in in American history you know what I mean as far as for a football game yeah it is rocking so much with students like go go watch that video you're like good God this is perfect this is college football yeah I mean it shows what Georgia Tech what what that environment can be but it is never that at the Falcon Stadium oh it's never that playing at the Falcon Stadium whoever made that deal should be fired yeah I read his statement that he goes we want to play at we we are Atlanta's team we're going to play at the Pinnacle place for Atlanta and I'm like you have Bobby DOD Stadium you have like the most legendary one of the most legendary stadiums in existence in the world when it comes to the sport of football yeah the mercedesbenz uh stadium is what like uh that gone in 20 years dude if that at this rate that's what I'm saying like the NFL they just like what are we doing and you ruin your home Edge you're taking away a natural home game that was a that was a like I want to say that was like 55% Louisville fans there last year and and we see this year we'll get to it but Brent key right in downtown with the the Atlanta Skyline in the background at Bobby Todd utilize it take full advantage play your biggest games there yeah under George O Larry I love that angle I always hopes that works you know sometimes it doesn't work but I think it's an encouraging first year considering how bad they were under Jeff Collins and uh and everything I think it's a uh it's got a far better track record than college basketball does college basketball hiring a uh a former player I think in college basketball you have to be ready for the day in Day Out grind playing a game every other day those almost always seem to fail not always but more often but in college football it seems like more of a 5050 bet so far I think you're right Brent key has promise yeah I agree and And subscribe to the college basketball experience too we're gonna talk about those yellow jackets with Damon St our year to um uh Patty see what is the worst loss that Jo we do this with every Power five team just FYI what is the worst we have two pages of this by the way since 2000 Bowling Green last year was pretty damn bad there are a few you mentioned Bowling Green the state on the schedule oh yeah yeah and and the CIT that's got to be the one but but getting shellack by Middle Tennessee no nothing to uh losing at Temple 24-2 that's it that's it right there the best one about The Citadel was Jeff Collins mimicked remember Spring ball he mimicked the he he he comes out in the flex bone and and then they audible to the shotgun they call it off it's basically his symb basically saying like [ __ ] this we're we're coming to play 2020 or 2018 football the best part is that year or the year after I forget which one the Citadel who runs the I'll let you know exactly when I would have quit the team as a DC and I would have called all my players pieces of [ __ ] I would have said you're all useless and uh I'm useless too and I just would have walked off uh you would have found me at the closest bar to Bobby do stadium was 63 to nothing after the first uh I think I would still be there in the in the second I'd still be there in the second 126 nothing in half somewhere in the second I would have been gone somewhere in the second by by the time you're hitting by the time you're hitting in the '90s where where's your threshold where would where would you leave what you know what number would you leave at dude I'll tell you what having coached a little football and going down like a lot in the first quarter to a good team it's pretty quick it's pretty quick you're like but man 126 at half time no way I I don't I don't there's no way I make it to halftime coaching we all coaching did a horrible job the players did horrible job we got our ass kicked I would be like this yeah yeah he he F he felt like [ __ ] afterwards everybody booing the [ __ ] out of me under statement I would be gone and I'm not even like being sarcastic um uh folks um I do want to say that the offense was surprising you look at these numbers 42nd in the nation top 50 offense Chris winky he was 35 when he was a freshman at Florida State he was the original the original I remember there guy for like Texas that played linebacker in the in the 90s that actually uh had ran out of Eligibility at a different school years before and made false false documents and [ __ ] to get the Texas he was like 30 30 years old but like just wasn't good enough for the NFL I'm not gonna lie I still have that dream every now and then where I'm like you know I'm playing High School football and and then I realized I'm like you're 40 some odd years old here but and then that's when I wake up but you know that that must that must be what that guy's going over turn off Chris winky though definitely 76 years old in his first year as an offensive coordinator uh look they were 40 but he you know what he was he was good 42 top 50 offense fourth in the ACC 34th in yards third in the ACC 66 in passing seventh in the ACC and who knew Chris winky was a pound the rock type of guy first first in the ACCC 12th nationally in rushia the ball basically 204 yards a game you know what the most stunning stat of all of it is is Haynes King rushing for 737 yards that is unbelievable he's got to be like a top five R but they're count yeah I mean it's it is you're right you're right the the rushing stats blew I had to recheck what I was writing I made these slides youtube.com theol experience I was like no this I was like this I got have read that wrong right let me try a different let me try a different website yeah to be fair uh Hanes King at Texas A&M in 2022 the year before in only six games had nearly 200 rushing yards that dude is lowkey like vanilla Vic uh they were high on him in A&M man so it was a nice get in the portal and uh obviously he enters uh his his Junior season this year um they bring back seven starters on the offensive side of the ball Patty see and their kicker Aiden Burr um but Haynes King is back Jamal Haynes as well a lot of Haynes on this team but Eric Singleton I I was really impressed by him uh at the white outs but also Malik Rutherford back at the white out spot as well three of five back on the o line the o line that was damn good a season ago Patty c yeah where you at with this offense I mean I know we're going to talk portal in a second but seven starters back on a top top two rushers top two receivers uh and three out of five offensive lineman back am I sleeping on him I know NC Nick's high on Georgia Tech maybe I'm sleeping on him a little bit you say three out of five offensive lineman having like looked around I feel like they have even more starting experience than that I don't know if all those guys were starters like but I feel like at least all five dudes have north of 20 starts at some point in their career depending on the publication so I think they I think they have one of the most underrated offensive lines in the nation and then you bring all that other production back I think this offense could go this year yeah Joe uh facil also eight starts a season ago I didn't even give him the credit of a returning start of or maybe eight starts in his career um they did lose some pieces on the offensive side of the ball but not not a ton man I mean Zack Gibson who's the former acri quarterback he heads off to Georgia state stays in Atlanta Tyler Gibson to Biff POI who's the who's a [ __ ] legend that Charlotte um uh am I crazy just like okay Mississippi state gets Ryland go at the tight end spot no relation to Tim and uh but and uh I'm sorry no that was an addition I'm sorry gez I can't read they went out and they added Ryland go from Mississippi State and at the tight end spot as well as Josh beatum from Michigan and uh kelen rutage no relation to Jeff uh at Middle Tennessee what do you think of that logo there paty should they should they merge that should that should that be on the helmet it's a little bit busy but I like it it's swaggy um will this offense be better in 2024 I think so I think so although again it's going to be tough for uh for Haynes King to replicate at least those rushing stats um passing wise what' he do last year at 2 uh uh 800 yards passing 27 touchdowns 16 interceptions let's hope he can get that uh interception right down because that's not the 16 Picks is a lot in in the Modern Age yeah yeah but I do think the offense should be you know at least on par with that I know the schedule's a little I did want to hammer home Jackson Halls is a tight end that I I know they're raving about as well keep an eye out for him both those tight ends what nine catches at was it Yale last year yeah yeah but uh you know game yeah okay um but they got fleed at receiver I'll say that I don't think a s a single dude that they're bringing back at that is projected to get big numbers or that had big numbers last year is over six feet and uh 173 pounds for their top three receivers is the max so expect a bunch of little fleas but I guess Jackson halls with his 65 255 frame is the nice change of pace to be able toh throw a check down to yeah yeah defensively uh 94th in the nation scoring per game giving up about 30 points per game uh that was second to last in the ACC when it comes to yards they were dead last in the ACC giv up 4371 yards per game uh 53rd and pass defense that was eighth best in the ACC remember there was 14 ACC teams last year they were dead last in Rush defense I don't understand this they have the number one rushing offense but the dead last rushing defense uh 22.3 yards in the ACC uh 128th in the nation like B basically one of the worst teams in the whole country in Rush defense it's weird too because at seven and six last year it's not like you can really blame that on the other team always being ahead and just pounding The Rock and you know that that skewing the stats toward their Rush defense being you know particularly bad it's like no they actually won more than half of their games but their pass defense is average to above average at 53rd their run defense somehow miserable but I will say when we look at the transfer portal it looks like that's kind of what they try to address yeah uh look they have seven returning starters and and their punter David Shan hands back but look they bring back three on the defensive line two in the linebacking core uh their Corner Amari Harvey safety L miles Brooks I mean seven back is encouraging on a team like that won seven games a season ago even if those numbers four tacklers that's nice but they did lose Kyle Canard to South Carolina dcoin D to Michigan State Eddie Kelly uh to Missouri yeah mean Kennard and kette were their top two sackers so they're gonna have to find a way to uh get some more pressure this year replace that production well and then Ken Johnson heading out to the Utah UT say with KJ Wallace going to UCLA uh they took some hits but I mean all right I mean seven starters back it's still seven starters back yeah all things considered in the modern era if you're only getting a couple guys plucked away it's not too bad yeah I think they also had a couple other guys those guys right there youtube.com theol experience um they did go out and get romello height from USC uh as well as AO tasi from uh Florida State Thomas Gore from the Miami Hurricane Jordan venburg from uh Penn State and then in the linebacker core the linebacking core that is uh EJ lay from Georgia the Bulldogs that that's disgusting I mean yeah you're gonna go play for the rivals you're gonna like you can go anywhere the [ __ ] is that and that's where you end up going it would be a little more disgusting to go from Georgia Tech to Georgia than it is from Georgia to Georgia Tech right now but like dude before Kirby Smart Georgia Tech had won a national championship way more recently than Georgia right yeah it doesn't sound like good oldfashioned hate if you're ready to jump from one team to the other uh yeah you would never if you really really hated the other team uh but bringing the EJ Lighty from Georgia and same with Jackson Hamilton from the Louisville Cardinals also brought in uh Warren Burell from the Tennessee Volunteers then Jaden Davis from the Cincinnati Bearcats I mean you think this defense will be better this year Patty C just another year at his system right I mean I mean Brent key knowing what he wants to do I know he's you know I think more so of an offensive guy but um this is what we need to look at is the defensive additions right here with the like you mentioned uh four on the defensive line and and two more in the front seven I think that is his attempt to address the miserable Rush defense that they had and so yeah I can't I don't think you can get any worse Rush defensively and then I think that means you're probably going to improve a little bit uh the win total sitting at five what do you think of that old logo little wasp it's less impressive than the others doesn't look as vicious right it's just floating around like look I don't know buzzing around more like a flea looking for some scattered ass um but uh look the the win total is sitting at five now this is interesting because um the over is at minus 120 the UND at plus 100 so basically Vegas saying we think six and six is more likely than 4 and eight however we have them at five and seven um they're plus 7500 to win the ACC Championship they're plus 8,000 to make the 12 team playoffs when did you look at this number cuz I thought I saw five and a half really I looked at this number five makes more sense I think you let me let me double check but I believe I looked at this uh about three hours ago maybe uh maybe we're just looking at different uh different books but uh so Vegas is leaning more towards six wins than four wins is what you're saying at a glance I'm tempted to agree with that because I think this team is moving in the right direction and four wins would be a very disappointing season flat five minus 120 to the over under plus 100 over at DK right now all right well there it is flat five so are you surprised by that number after a nice seven win season now the bowl game obviously doesn't count they were six to six in the regular season so they'd have to pull off that upset and they did have that that Miami game so like they probably should have been and seven last year having peak in the schedule already no I'm not surprised but if I hadn't then yeah I'd be a little surprised because I think they're going in the right direction uh let's talk about that schedule um we're going to Dublin Ireland week zero to take on Florida State man I was thinking about this game as I was previewing this they could win this game dude they could they could that it's a 13-point spread right now right yeah that's way too many points for a Florida State team that lost a [ __ ] ton of production right it's just way too many point like I think people think like Florida state was like uh they're think of they were like Sabin Alabama teams like Florida State they definitely like squeaked by some teams last year man I know some of that was quarterback injury late in the year but like there was some and that was with a super senior r team like Jordan Travis was in college like 30 years so like um my point is is like yeah two-point win against Boston College overtime win against Clemson uh they did whoop some ass in between there seven-point win against the U ninepoint win against Florida 10-point win against Louisville I know the Florida and Louisville games were without Travis um but even with that like 17-point win against pit was 24 to7 I just I don't know that I'm ready to put them on this pedestal of like just 13 points better than Georgia Tech uh returning a [ __ ] ton of production whereas Florida State's breaking in a a ton of new starters I think it's too many points I think uh going across the sea I think Florida State's fans probably travel pretty well typically to relatively close ACC schools you know going as far north as North Carolina they probably bring a decent crowd to so they're not at such a a disadvantage on the road this is a true neutral this is the truest neutral site game you could possibly I don't know it's not that far from Saudi Arabia the people in Kuwait uh will will you know Florida State AKA Saudi Arabia State I think the people in Kuwait will they have a vested interest so to show up got a lot of money riding onid state so did they fly direct from Kuwait to Dublin that's right that's right I mean they're all flying their personal oil money uh planes over there that's true man the very true I got him I I'll put 0 and one but I I the more I think about it the more I think this is going to be a game I think it will be a game too I think I mean dju there's going to be some probably uh at least a quarter or two worth of you know working it out with that offense and Georgia Tech seems ready to take advantage of it so I I wouldn't be surprised to see a tie game at Halftime we'll see State well then they come home and they get uh the Panthers of Georgia State now luckily for Tech uh like mid mid spring Practice Georgia state's head coach is up and quits and takes the tight end position at South Carolina I honestly think if it wasn't for that they would have lost this game but now and a bunch of players hit the portal too after that now it's to me it's a win for Georgia Tech even if Bobby died you would have given Georgia State it's not like it's a long I just feel like you come back from Europe it dude coming back from Europe it takes me like a couple days to adjust to the clocks and then you have a a little brother that has a history of winning you know they won at Tennessee a few years ago with Sean with sea Elliott yeah but uh now now he leaves so we already touched on this with the uh you know Virginia Tech versus Poise the JMU game uh back in 2010 it's you go and you have a disappointing first game whether it be a close loss or a blowout loss whatever it is and you you come home and you think you're going to win an easy one but you got a team licking their chops playing their Super Bowl dude and and that was DC like they're coming back from [ __ ] Dublin yeah you know what I mean like uh but I do think it's so much more winnable now so I will say one and one in their first two and then they head up to that filthy filthy Carrier Dome this is probably the most interesting game on their entire schedule I agree I agree dude I have a hard time with this you got Kyle Honda mcord who's now transferred after losing one game Syracuse but I've never seen Fran brown coach a game in his life yeah because he hasn't as a head coach but a lot of question marks but I mean a significant home field advantage I was leaning like Q's by if I was to set the line Q's minus one and a half you know based on head-to-head on a neutral site location like say DC or like Maryland or even Philly I would still lean Georgia Tech by a little bit up and qes I think I'm with you I think I got a lean orange so one and two yeah and then the Keets Danny Rocco and VMI coming to town check out the FCS college football experience uh two and two they break even there yeah yeah I'm with that then they head to uh well it used to be Papa John's uh stadium before his racial remarks um now it's we we call it the Shaq because I think it's called something else but Shaq yeah Shaquille Ando came in now he owns that Pizza Company can we talk about Shaq's just dominance on he's like The General car insurance you know he he he he dropped a platinum record back in the day he had a video game called Shak Fu he had a success ful movie and blue chips and and Kazam and [ __ ] steel right wasn't he like uh didn't he play Iron uh Superman or something uh at one point he's like a comic book star that's what I'm saying dude he's a cop he's like got a [ __ ] badge in Louisiana absolute marketing giant dude he has uh he's a DJ he's a [ __ ] DJ Now like we went to his part me and Shan Ryan went to his party here in LA right dude taking advantage of like the the the um Royal Flush he was handed in life with that with that body I could just picture a phone call it's like yeah we got this racist Pizza Company we got to do something with this I can dominate a pizza company all right let me get on top of that right um uh they're gonna lose though at the Sha as much as I want the Sha to keep I mean yeah they're gonna lose at the Sha the Shaq's going to keep rocking um two and three two and three first bye on September 28th then they're home to the Duke Blue Devils and Manny Diaz when du Duke coming off their biggest game with North Carolina the week before at home then having to go to Georgia Tech I'm going to give that one to GT for sure me too that's three and three and then they head to Chapel Hill uh I know we're going to preview North Carolina right after this but um bdd what is is it about Georgia Tech that completely [ __ ] with North Carolina what uh I want to look at their recent history um even their terrible years under under uh Jeff Collins I feel like well one of those years m brown had like North Carolina off to like an 8 no start and then that you're playing like a two- win Georgia Tech Team and Georgia Tech scored like 50 on them Georgia Tech leads the all time series 3321 with three ties uh and of late it looks like three straight for Georgia Tech that's surprising that's what I'm saying there's something about them dude they Georgia Tech's won five of six yeah five of six against that is shocking actually uh yeah I mean they've won their last two in Chapel Hill man here's the thing I think Notre Dame is in a let down spot against Georgia Tech I think Miami even though they should be super up for this game seems like Georgia Tech gets the better of them often I think Virginia Tech's a really hard game for them even though I feel like traditionally they've done decently against Georg Tech I think they might get two out of four in that really tough four game stretch right there hold on so at North Carolina home to Notre Dame at that and the Notre Dame game is that stupid game at Mercedes-Benz that they keep trying to [ __ ] do that's going to be a Notre Dame crowd they're definitely goingon to lose that game yeah it's almost like uh three Road games there yeah uh I I I'll go one and two in that in that three- game stretch right there okay and then what about Miami at home oh man they could I just feel like chrisal is gonna have this one circled up for the last year oh yeah you have to figure it look I'm going to go out on a limit and I'm going to give him two here I'm GNA give him two out of that four which is you know it's probably being a little generous but I I just feel like Georgia Tech's the kind of team that does that there uh key proved that last year he's going to win a game you don't expect him to win and so maybe two here I'm going to have him go in so we had them going into this week a win Over Georgia State a win over VMI a win over Duke three and what three uh we had what Georgia State VMI Duke yeah we had him and the losses were Syracuse Florida State and Louisville they were three and three they beat I say they beat Carolina they go four and three Louis Notre Dame four- four at Virginia Tech four and five home to Miami I guess I'll join you on this five and I don't know no no four and six four and six they they get a byee on the 16th of November then they have a Thursday night game against NC State and I do buy into um th the chat was talking about this that the [ __ ] pack will lose uh this game watch they're going to like NC State's going to be in position to win the ACC and this Thursday night game is going to [ __ ] their season up um this is kind of uh what Georgia Tech is specialized in is screwing very good ACC seasons over I'll say five and seven I mean at Georgia the end the season they're not going to win that but five and seven which the number is right on five I do think if you have to lean somewhere they could beat Syracuse you know what I mean they could I I think uh yeah I mean honestly though what did I have I I think I have him at five and 72 it's gonna be tough though because that they could finish you have them if you have them beating NC State I think you have them at six right I don't know that I haven't beating NC State okay I feel like okay it it may not be it may not make a ton of sense but for some reason North Carolina really Notre Dame and Miami seem like Wings to me and they're probably the two of best teams on their schedule but I just feel like they catch him in a great spot and those are the type of games that Georgia Tech tends to win but either way in that last six game stretch I think I only have them winning two and since we had him starting three and three I think I have them finishing five and seven me too yeah but we can't we look the numberers five we got to make a pick over or under I mean worst case scenario I still think George Georgia state's a definite W VMI is a definite W I mean I I guess two and 10 uh if everything went wrong but they're way too good of a a team to do that although I think like three and nine is the the floor falls out for somebody I mean it wasn't too long ago obviously Co you kind of have to throw out but not if you don't throw it out 2019 3 and N 2020 3 and 7 2021 3 and N then five and seven seven and six so it's only been recently that they've you know got back to a little bit of their winning ways if they revert at all then yeah three and nine is you're right is probably closer to the floor I still think that that this team is going to be better than last year the schedule's a little harder all I think six I think six and six is more likely than four and eight yeah but I do think five and Seven's probably the the right bet yeah I should note that Jeff Collins is the defensive coordinator with ma Brown of North Carolina so a chance to get the the the people that fired him and Brent key was on a staff so the little compelling there in Chapel Hill that game will be fun uh I'm gonna go over I don't bet this just do not bet this game like this this bet is is to me and what is the best they could do Patty C how about that the best they could do I doubt they beat Florida State I mean they could but I actually think it's like the best time to actually get Florida State sure absolutely a whole lot of new Talent transfers you know what I mean I feel like that's probably and you're in a diff you're you're on a different you know continent I feel like it's just a good time to to to get them if you're going to get them we saw what was it Northwestern knockoff Nebraska and Northwestern went one and 11 that year yeah exactly you know what I mean like I feel like if you're gonna get them and and who's more likely to party on the streets of Dublin Florida State or Georgia Tech I feel like Georgia Tech's a more Irish crowd maybe it's George O's uh pass there but I feel like they seem like they should be celebrating in Ireland uh yeah maybe right there I don't know I feel like maybe Florida State I don't know but um best case scenario is eight wins to me and I say they they either score an upset against Florida State or Notre Dame so mark one of those right yeah I don't think four in one's out of I don't think five and one's out of the question you know I think if uh dude if they beat Florida State they could be like five and0 I mean Louisville I expect them to lose but it's Louisville almost lost to UVA last year at home yeah I mean that's what it is it's like you have your uh Superior teams in terms of talent and really it's been Florida State in Clemson and that's been it and then once you get below that like super fstar pro like you know dominance in terms of recruiting and I guess recently transfer portal then even if you're separated by like 10 or 15 or 20 spots in the recruiting rankings it's still very marginal like advantage in terms of overall Talent so I think all these teams are pretty comparable on their schedule and the fact that Georgia Tech has a lot of returning talent and some continuity at the coaching position now yeah if things break their way it could be a really nice season yeah I think six and six all right so I I lean over just don't bet this I think this is one of the harder ones we've done this entire you know season so far that's a really brutal uh between their two buy games Duke North Carolina Notre Dame Virginia techken Miami and then to end the season with NC State and Georgia Tech it's just a hard ass schedule so I think like taking the over is is being very optimistic but still they're too much better than 4 and eight to take that to take the under so well and I'm trying to think about this right now I can't remember if Georgia State went bowling or not last year um the reason why I bring that up is I know VMI is an FCS and they're not that good of an FCS but uh there's a shot that every team they play was a bow Team a year ago if I'm trying I'm pulling up Georgia State right now I can't remember I want to say they missed that on a bowl but no they made a b they made a bowl yeah um so wait Florida State bull Team georia Georgia State bull Team Syracuse bu team Louisville bu team Duke B Team North Carolina bow Team Notre Dame B Team Virginia Tech B Team Miami bow team NC State bow Team Georgia B Jesus yeah it's tough VMI is yeah what Duke was yeah Duke Duke won 8 or9 games yeah they play 11 bow teams from last year yeah how do they get Delta's hand I don't understand man brutal um at least they're getting this though let me if if I'm GNA [ __ ] on that at least they're getting uh let me just quickly count if I can they're getting three new head coaches within their first what six games so there's that that's nice let me ask you this um which of their non oh Notre Dame is a uh a non-conf that's a tough non-conference schedule Georgia Dame I guess VM but you get two playoff teams yeah in your that's why they're not doing themselves any favors Georgia is unavoidable but please I guess to an extent Notre Dame is unavoidable because they're just part of that AC yeah oh man I don't know I'm still sticking to my gun six and six is more likely than 4 and8 but man that's that's and part of the reason I here's why I don't understand the NFL or current going to tear down and like what northwestern's doing with their Stadium um like in baseball you talk to someone I got a textas past week saying dude I'm going to Fenway been wanting to go to Fenway my whole life bucket list trip yeah right and part of the allore of that or Wrigley or or where you know of those stadiums is you're like hey Babe Ruth hit a Dinger here or you know I'm in this place where all this history happen John Heisman coached here that's what I'm saying you're John Heisman Paul Johnson Bo Bobby Ross like I said Jerry Glenville I did the intro Jerry Glanville I mean there's so much history there even if you think of the away teams that have came in there and and scored and and played in that Stadium it's Fu sacked someone no that was that was the South Bend but um but no you're right I mean like there's so many uh historical spots and places and and and that that have came through there like it's like these walls can talk man uh Bobby DOD Stadium we do a deep dive on it on Stadium heads we do a deep dive on all the the col I'll tell you what Georgia Tech also does an awesome job uh job protecting and their image with the rambling wreck I mean that's that's a Model T it's a out you know pimped out Model T they are old school like flossing Atlanta you know and I hope they can bring that St I was hoping prime time would come back to Atlanta and Coach Georgia Tech unfortunately he took Colorado but you know cool cool in its own right but that would have been so amazing if he they play next year by the way nice uh but Georgia Tech deserves a a coach that can bring their their history all the way back and uh hopefully they get it soon or hopefully it's Brent key yeah I I
