very well so you know just trust yourself yeah we'll do all right thanks Lawrence okay all the best I'll speak to you later bye bye-bye byebye bye [Music] are we ready okay so um where to begin I don't know where to begin but over probably over 6 months ago I need to get the date but I've gone I went from leading a golf tournament being on such a high you know playing well going into that golf tournament um to unfortunately having to pull out I was so sure I was you know I just had a feeling I had a feeling my coach had a feeling it was like I say I was playing well and it it was it felt effortless you know and at at the time when I pulled out I don't think I realized what was going on in my body it's been really tough for Annabelle since September um she she's been battling with this injury for a long time we were going around in circles with different injections and different uh tried tried to solve it in different ways but she decided have the operation in January 3 months and 3 days ago um I went ahead and had surgery on my thumb I had such a bad bone bruise on the sesamoid bone in my thumb that I got a bone removed you know they said 2 years for it to recover 2 years which was absolutely not going to no way that would would end my career if I had two years out just pure you know that's a long long time to sit out good come across that good and then do your the other one yeah let's just do press up as well so at the minute I'm working on with my physio um Louise generally just making sure everything is Tick boo you know and injury prevention on everything generally but um mainly my left side prob lift up a little bit more so you're not that way there that's why I want it you feel that good so back here that's it up that should be easy yeah she's making good progress I think sort of hampered there for a long time she's been hitting the ball good now in practice and and it's just a matter of taking it onto the course but competitions is a different it's a different thing really Under Pressure um is is tougher so that'll take a while but um she's making good progress right and that is actually usually what happens [Music] if we can hit everyone like that tomorrow we'll be fine now I am playing one day events I'm playing in the Rose series I've got a couple events tomorrow I have one at Walton Heath yesterday I have one at Sun andelle so that's a really good test for me to see where I'm at I'm just going to call Lawrence again hi Lawrence you know you just sent me that message saying try it with the the like a wedge underneath my foot yeah that's exactly what I was already doing oh you weren't yeah no I was I was feeling for me is like when I get to the top it's like I move that waight onto that left leg so that then I've got the left side to hit against that's exactly it you EXA you're getting it dead right you're not turning too early you're using the left side to be to generate your speed I did like that very much yeah okay well I'll I'll clip a couple more away with the wedge under my foot and then I'll send you another video okay then but I'm glad we're on the right tracks of that brilliant it's perfect it's exactly right yeah well done all right cheers I'll speing do you know what Lawrence knows me very very well like sometimes I don't even have to go and see him and I can have just as good lesson just literally by doing these things because he'll say things to me and we know exactly the meaning of what each other is saying and how I'm feeling and how I can't feel like I can get in a position he can break it down because obviously he does know me so well um because he was one of my first other coaches so which helps he's like a second father to me you know [Music] [Music] this is game number three on the te Annabelle demo [Applause] the next step is you know picking up from what's going on in these one day events to to getting out on tour and eventually you know all goes well my goal is to be in the British Open that would really make everything that I'm doing right now very very worth it and satisfying [Music] I'm frustrated cuz I feel like I got a really good feel on the swing yesterday on the Range when I was speaking to Lawrence I was working on you know moving my body and getting it into the slot better and I feel like I did out there at times do it but there was a couple of times I did not do the move that I was working on the Range yesterday and it's frustrating cuz I was hitting it so well on the Range yesterday and I spoke to Lawrence and he said you know you look so confident with that and I thought I was really confident with it until you know things change when you get out there you know your mind can wander and I feel like mine did today it didn't stay focused on exactly what was happening but that was hard today yeah your focus goes on something else so yeah that's it um the German Masters I was really really nervous and I didn't really let myself necessarily play um you know I was a little bit tense that week just because I didn't know what to expect what was good is there was really good signs that week um that I took into the week after um but yeah unfortunately I missed the cut there but it was still a solid it was a solid first we back after eight months Jabra had a lot of good memories there and I think I wasn't so nervous that week you know I'd already dusted off the cobwebs there was moments in the back n that I actually turned to my dad and I was like we're cooking with gas here there was something in my game that really clicked and I felt I am playing really well eight months out you know what I mean was letting myself play a bit more I finished 18th in Jabra which was a decent result for your second week back third week out of the block Sweden I actually wasn't hitting my driver that well that week and I think 3 weeks in a row it was hard because I'd been so used to having not being on my own for so long you know it's hard when you're rooming on your own you kind of go off in a tangent sometimes and can yourself talk you know you it's hard to switch off when you're on your own in a room so that was a bit of an exhausting week but I finished 40th there I didn't have my best golf that week um but I was still you know still not bad not bad we head to Italy and the the day before the event I woke up and I had a frozen neck um I played the first round I was lying about 30 or of the first round woke up the next day ready for round two and my neck couldn't move it was tough after having eight months out and then coming back finally jotam me getting my confidence back and then waking up and I can't move my neck that was that was a big choker all the emotions kind of came back after 8 months out you know it was just it was so frustrating um I'm here in London now for the I'm at Centurion for the aramco team series it's a fun event this week you know it's like a pram format for two days and then the last day we could all kind of go off from them playing with Charlie one of my close friends so I know there's going to be big crowds out there which is not nerve reckon I wouldn't say but it's anticipation obviously wanting to do really well this [Music] week 1 + 10 is 171 that's my layout dad [Music] [Music] 171 pre-qualifying here obviously in an Ideal World I wouldn't have had to be playing here I would have qualified that was the plan but you know it didn't quite go to plan I've had had a bit of a stumbling block in the recovery because started to get like these neck cramps I don't know like I was having like a frozen neck you know I've speaking to my physio I've spoken to my coach and we've decided that I'm just going to kind of go out there today swing it easy you know the motto for today is smooth but committed but yeah today is a big day still the te from Ireland hanab demmi so the qualifier is done um I shot one under the line for getting in I think was two over so I made it nice and comfortable I did not feel too comfortable out there my long game was not there today just purely the fact that I haven't been able to hit ball so I was kind of like finding my swing out on the golf course today but yeah it needs to now I've got two weeks of grind coming up because it needs to be better I've got to hit it better than that um for the Scottish and for the next qualifier but yeah we made it through on to the [Music] next we are at final qualifying at cray I'm feeling nervous but I said to myself do you know what I mean as long as I've done everything that I can do um prepared as well as I can and left no stone unturned you know it's up to the golfing Gods from [Music] there it's an 18old shootout really so you can't can't really afford to make any mistakes out there second I hold my good part for birdie and then all of a sudden the 8 months out kind of felt like they went away it felt like I was playing I was playing at home I was letting myself play a bit more it'd be worth it if we can qualify you open at the home a golf doesn't get [Music] better on the back now the wind started to get up and yeah I didn't drive it quite as well [Music] I just didn't play good enough [Music] I just really wanted to [Music] play I've been through a lot in my golf career already and every time I have I've always come back stronger well we got good week now week prep for Ireland the Irish open so we go again we go again yeah what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
