and as a dad this tear me up because you know times I felt like I haven't been a good enough dad or times I felt like I haven't been able to be be there I don't have to be a drug addict and have my life almost end to feel that any dad can feel that at times it just just not enough I wasn't there when I was supposed to be he just describes it so [Music] well Eminem and jelly roll somebody save me I'm telling you a video has come out I I had a hard enough time getting through this song the first time just listening to it and now I have to watch a video of it as a mental health professional you don't have to look any further than this song to find out what real real mental health is I mean I'm telling you Eminem home run with this and to bring jelly roll on this with his song combin Perfect without further Ado I have no idea but if he has his children on here again I think I'm just going to lose it Daddy get but in here when she gets come eat tired just come eat I'll be there I promise stop then wake up the what what a setup y'all what a setup to a video got this staging of his daughter coming in trying to get him up at this point where he can't even get out of bed using life going down the tubes she just wants her daddy she's trying to get him to come eat food and it's the setup of him now sitting in a chair watching the scene he's watching the replay of his life and then there's the movie screen the old style movie screen there and I just see him standing there reflecting back you know I tell people you got to reflect don't dwell don't live in that past because it will make you become that past you want to reflect on the past and look back and say there's a reason I don't want to relive that anymore there's a reason I don't want to be that anymore and it's because of the life I'm living now and I think Eminem's a perfect example of that but what a great start to this he's just standing there staring ing at this movie [Music] sceney oh my gosh it's a this is a perfectly dumb video this this scene behind this it's almost like one of those advertising boxes you know that they do scenes on trucks and stuff I've seen in videos there are the girls watching TV there's him in his State now hands on the head feeling what they must have gone through oh man what a dad you know to empathize with that and to know man there's nothing I can do about that y'all if you if you've been in a place where there's nothing you can do and damage has been done the best thing you can do is what you do next it's how you love them next it's how you're there for them next it's how you treat them [Music] next another pill as I start the SP L to my daughters I don't even deserve the father title Haley I'm so sorry I know I wasn't there for your first guitar idle didn't walk it down the aisle missed the birth of your first child your first podcast looking down sweetie I'm so proud of how you turned out sorry that I those drugs and put them above you sorry this watching him he really feels every word he's written here and I think the only way he knows how how to express not the only way cuz I don't know him I'm sure he's expressed it a lot of different seems to how you replay that past and you see the visuals of the children you see the visuals of him laying in the bed right oh my goodness good this and you look back at that anybody who's had struggles like this in their past can look back and just feel so defeated like he said I just don't even want to look back at that but in order to you know be the best version of yourself today you've got to look back and realize that's who I've been I can't replace that I can't can't change it I said to be who I am now only seems to H I've been staring at the video of Haley almost daily of playing the guitar and hopes maybe that'll give me the power to fight but the addict demies a coward he told me that I can't do it had a second chance blew it it's like I'm stuck inside alternate reality but I know all turn it around and be able to walk her in Lany one day to the alter it's proud as can be right now I'm just weak as I fall further down in this deep hoing farther in the ground I sink as they lower me in my cough and I feel the tears all falling down on my cheek please know this anybody who struggled with addiction that addiction is another entity in and of itself addiction is an entity that is meant and bent on killing you and taking everyone from you it is not meant to help you cope it is not meant to help you have you know a chance an outlet to get by on for a little bit it is meant to destroy you you will need more of it it will need more of you you your time your life your energy your physical social emotional life will be sucked from you with addiction addiction takes everybody down if you let it and the only way not to is to stop it and the way to stop it is to never be around it again but that's what his example is of recovery but please no addiction it's not meant to do uh moderately it is all or nothing and when addiction's there everybody around you will be forced out of your life you will force them out of your life because of the addiction but many times people become the addiction addiction person and over time the more you use the more those two go together and the key to recovery is separating you getting yourself back having the addiction here if you say no to the addiction it is starved and suffocated it dies if you say maybe to the addiction it keeps moving closer and it gets stronger wow what a what a great story here that I sink as they lower me in my cof and I feel the tears all falling down on my cheek oh [Music] y'all it's kind of like where they were when he was at his lowest and about to die 20089 somewhere in there I think and that's what was going to happen that's where he was walking that's what addiction will do to you and if you don't arrest it if you don't recover it if you don't don't stop doing what you're doing
