[Music] hello everyone and welcome back to the awards Gambit I hope everyone is doing well I hope you all had a wonderful and eventful summer I know it's been a while since I've done a video so I'm very happy to be back here talking about Emmy winner predictions with you guys the 76 annual prime time Emmy awards are coming up very soon on Sunday September 15th and they will be hosted by Emmy winners Dan and Eugene Levy which I'm very excited about hoping for a great Ceremony this year so why don't we go ahead and jump right into the predictions first up we have outstanding drama series the nominees for this category are three body problem Fallout Mr and Mrs Smith Shogun slow horses the crown the Gilded Age and the Morning Show while this is a great lineup of TV shows some may say that this is a bit of a drier field a lot of shows like Euphoria the handmaid's tale Severance House of the Dragon The Last of Us maybe had hoped to be back this year eligible for the 2024 emys but because of the strikes last year many previous best drama series nominees weren't eligible to come back so definitely have a lot of shows that have never been nominated in drama series before it's exciting to see some shows that had never been recognized in this category before the only one that has been recognized in this category before is the crown so welcome to the seven new drama series nominees and that being said my prediction for this category is Shogun people are likening Shogun to be the next Game of Thrones it's a big iconic epic show I think it really resonated with viewers and generally speaking it got really strong reviews compared to a lot of these other shows who maybe one as big and I just feel like Shogun is the standout drama series of this year however we have not seen Shogun perform at any major award shows yet it just came out earlier this year so we don't know how award shows feel about it in which case I could see the Crown Winning because it's won this category before and it's the final season it could be a Sentimental win season 6 was certainly not the most well reviewed season but you know it is the final season of the show I think the emys obviously love that show and so if anything were to beat Shogun I think it would be the crown so I would say watch out for the crown but I'm still going to confidently predict Shogun to win this category next up we have outstanding lead actor in a drama series the nominees are Idris Elba for hijack Donald Glover for Mr and Mrs Smith Walton Goggins for Fallout Gary Oldman for slow horses hiok Sonata for Shogun and Dominic West for the crown very strong lineup of actors here my prediction for this category is hirok Sonata for Shogun like I said Shogun is a Powerhouse I believe it's going to do very well it already has 25 nominations Koke Sonata received excellent reviews for this show I think that Cosmo Jarvis the co-lead from Shogun being snubbed in this category really helped Hoke SAS chances because there's no risk of vote splitting and I feel like him not being nominated further affirmed hokei sonata's win in this category I think that if anybody could beat Koke Sonata it would be Gary Oldman for slow horses Gary Oldman is an extremely well-respected actor in the industry he's an Academy Award winner slow horses is becoming more and more popular as New Seasons Premiere I believe they're on season 4 right now these nominations are for season 3 it got many nominations this year in key categories including writing directing acting and drama series so on the chance that Hoke loses I do think it could go to Gary Oldman definitely a more populous pick and it would be a well-deserved win either one would be a well-deserved win but I will be sticking with Hoke Sonata for outstanding lead actress in a drama series the nominees are Jennifer Aniston for the morning show Carrie for the Gilded Age Maya urkin for Mr and Mrs Smith Anna saai for Shogun emela ston for the crown and Reese Witherspoon for the morning show I love this lineup of actresses really great performances here my prediction for this category is Amela ston for the crown now if she would win this category it would be an upset I think people were really predicting Anna soai to win and I very well could see that happening due to the PowerHouse of Shogun and her excellent performance in that show but I just have this feeling that ml diston is going to win if you look back at patterns in Emmy history specifically when we're talking about the crown both Clare Foy and Olivia Coleman won this category for playing Queen Elizabeth II in their last year of eligibility in this category and both of those wins were actually pretty big surprises too in 2018 when Clare Foy won she beat Elizabeth Moss who was expected to pick up another trophy for the handmaids tale and in 2021 Olivia Coleman beat Emma Corin who played Princess Diana in the crown and Michaela J Rodriguez who was nominated for the final season of pose I think that there were multiple performers that year that had a better chance of winning this award over Olivia Coleman just based on those patterns I just really feel like ml D could take this I just have a feeling about it I feel like it's a Sentimental win especially since it's the final season of the show Queen Elizabeth II has passed since Olivia and Claire won their Awards M St is an extremely well-respected actress I don't believe she's ever won an Emmy before and I feel like it would be really great to recognize her and I think that a lot of Emmy voters think that way too so that's why I'm predicting her but I am very much prepared to be wrong and I think Anna saai has a really good chance of taking this award but I'm singing with Mel Taunton and I'm prepared to go down with that ship next up we have outstanding supporting actor in a drama series the nominees are tdo buano for Shogun Billy crudup for the morning show Mark duplass for the morning show John Ham for the morning show takiro Hera for Shogun Jack Loden for slow horses and and Jonathan price for the crown I'm currently predicting Billy crudup to win this award he won this category for season one of the morning show in 2020 he was nominated in 2022 he's always a standout in the Morning Show seasons 1 2 3 he's delivered really consistent work you could argue he was the lead of this season I do feel like this could be one of those categories where there's a surprise if it's not Billy crud up I think that that either one of the Shogun actors could win if Shogun is kind of doing a sweep sort of situation I feel like people are predicting aano over Hera I haven't watched the show so I can't speak on either of their performances but I can speak on the incredible performance of Billy crudup in the morning show I do think that the two Shogun actors will vote split I don't think there's a clear one that's better than the other whereas Billy crudup is definitely more of a stand out in the morning show in my opinion and I think most people's opinions than John Ham and Mark dupass he's already won this category for season 1 in 2020 and he's just undeniable in the show he's a standout every single episode really really great actor and this could be one of those performances that gets multiple emies so I'm sticking with B really crew up for the morning show next up we have outstanding supporting actress in a drama series the nominees are Christine bransky for the guilded age Nicole Bahari for the morning show Elizabeth ticki for the crown Greta Lee for the morning show Leslie Manville for the crown Karen Pitman for the morning show and Holland Taylor for the morning show this category I don't think is very close I think Elizabeth dicki is going to win this category she gave a very beautiful memorable tragic iconic performance as Princess Diana in season 6 of the crown she won the Golden Globe she won the critic's choice and she won the SAG Award for best drama actress for this performance so she's basically sweeping every trophy for playing Princess Di and the crown those are the same exact awards that Jillian Anderson won in 2021 won that when she went on to win this category for playing Margaret Thatcher in season 4 of the crown and I just think it's undeniable I think she's going to win there's no Shogun actresses here so even if Shogun did sweep every other category it cannot win here congratulations to Elizabeth ticki next up we have outstanding directing for a drama series the nominees are Mr and Mrs Smith for episode first date directed by Hero marai Shogun for episode Crimson sky directed by Frederick EO toy slow horses for episode strange games directed by Saul meten the crown for episode sleep Deary sleep directed by Steven doery the morning show for episode The overview effect directed by Mimi leader and winning time the rise of the Lakers Destiny for episode beat La directed by Sally Richardson Whitfield for this category I'm predicting Shogun Crimson Sky Crimson sky is the standout episode of this show it was recognized in a lot of categories submitted for many different actors and Tech nominees so I seems like Crimson sky is their big push for the big main biggest best episode of the season and there's no other Shogun nominees in this category so there's no vote splitting to worry about I do think Shogun is going to win many awards and I think that it makes sense that it will win directing there isn't much major competition I would say like I said for Outstanding Drama Series but I think if anyone was going to win this category if that wasn't Shogun I think it would be the crown the crown did upset in season 2 for directing I feel like people thought that Game of Thrones was going to win but it would be a really really shocking upset if the crown won this category congrats to Shogun next up for outstanding writing for drama series the nominees are Fallout for episode The End written by Geneva Robinson dwar and Graham Wagner Mr Mrs Smith for episode first dat written by Franchesca Salone and Donald Glover Shogun for episode anene written by Rachel condo and Justin Marx Shogun for episode Crimson sky written by Rachel condo and kin pente slow horses for episode negotiating with tigers written by Will Smith and the crown for episode Ritz written by Peter Morgan and marable Shabani Clair for this category I'm predicting Shogun Crimson Sky to win like I said before it seems like Crimson sky is the episode of Shogun that is the standout the most important biggest episode of the season and I think that it will overcome any vote splitting scenario with the other episode of Shogun that is here because of that I don't think anything else could take it really if it would be anything else I think it would be the crown I feel like the crown is a runner up in a lot of these categories it's hard to underestimate the crown when it's won so many awards including many emys and we have yet to see Shogun performing anywhere so we could be in for really interesting Emmys if the crown wins a lot of awards but I just really don't see that happening I do think that Shogun is going to win a lot of awards and I think it's going to win best writing for drama series for outstanding comedy series the nominees are Abbot Elementary Curb Your Enthusiasm hacks only murders in the building Palm Royale reservation dogs the bear and what we do in the shadows excellent year for television comedy great seasons of many of these shows my prediction for this category is the bear this m is recognizing season 2 which came out last year season 2 I think was the best season of the bear I think most people believe that it swept the winter Awards it's just really on a hot streak right now and I think that it's going to continue its hot streak for another win this year welld deserved win for an excellent season in season two I would watch out for hacks upsetting this category for season 3 I think that it's still a slim chance because the bear season 2 is just so undeniable but hack season 3 came out a couple months ago great reviews compare that to the bear season 3 which isn't recognized this season these nominations are for season 2 but I feel like the fact that season 3 three was sort of mixed reviews wasn't the best season I didn't love it I found it okay and I feel like most people found it okay I feel like season 3's mixed reviews could impact the voters mentality for maybe they might not want to vote for it because they didn't like season 3 as much because I do sort of feel like season two of The Bear sort of positively impacted Seasons ones wins at the emm because season 2 was better than the barar and season 2 had already premiered by the time the EM voting happened for last year's emys so you know with that logic obviously we'll never know what's going on in the EM voters minds but with that logic I do kind of feel like maybe season 3 could impact negatively the be season 2's chances here come Emmy Awards Sunday coming very soon and in which case I do think hack would win but like I said you know the bear season 2 was really good I think that it's going to do really well on the Emmy ceremony coming up and I going to stick with that for now for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series the nominees are Matt Barry for what we do in the shadows Larry David for Curb Your Enthusiasm Steve Martin for only murders in the building Martin Short for only murders in the building Jeremy Allen White for the bear and defero Wai for reservation dogs this category is basically a done deal Jeremy Allen White is absolutely winning this award for the bear he won last year for season one he has not lost any major reward for seasons one or two of the bear he won two Golden Globes two Critics Choice Awards two SAG Awards he won the Emmy Award like I said said he hasn't really lost he's on a hot streak I think he's going to win again he gave a great performance season 2 he's an amazing actor he always has been I am very confident in this pick I don't think there's really an obvious second place here especially with vote splitting for Steve Martin and Martin Short Jeremy Allen White not much more to say congratulations on your second Emmy win Jeremy next up we have outstanding lead actress in a comedy series the nominees are Quinta Brunson for Abdel M Iowa Dey for the bear Selena Gomez for only murders in the building my Rudolph for loot Jean Smart for hack and Kristen wig for Palm Royale I love this lineup this is a supreme lineup of actresses so happy Selena Gomez got her first acting nomination for season 3 of only Murs in the building obviously love SNL alumni Christen wig and my rudol being recognized here love their shows congrats to all these nominees but this award is going to Jean Smart for hacks Jean Smart is a force in hacks seasons one and two she won the Emmy Award for this category she's going to win again I feel really good about this pick she's just so iconic hilarious big amazing performance by a legendary actress I feel like this show is such a showcase for her and I'm so excited every time I watch this show I'm so excited to see her on the screen I think people are likening her in the show to Julia Louie drus in vep when talking about the Emmys and that they could win for almost every season of the show win multiple Emmy Julia lus won six Ems for vep which went on for Seven Seasons I could see it happening I love Jean Smart I love her in the show what's interesting about this race is that IO and Quinta both won Em's last year for these performances I wasn't supporting actress obviously Quinta wasn't lead actress so they are sort of the reigning Champions but so is Jean Smart because she won two years ago so we have this sort of weird thing where there's three winners and the bear could be winning a lot of awards so I feel like maybe IO could win in a sweep situation but like I said Jean Smart is undeniable I don't think I or Quinta can overtake her and I feel very confident that Jean Smart will win this award and I'll be very happy to see her win her third Emmy for this performance and sixth Emmy overall for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series the nominees are liono Boyce for the bear Paul W Downs for hacks eban backck for the bear Paul rud for only murders in the building Tyler James Williams for Abbot Elementary and boow and yang for Saturday Night Live this is another category that I think is basically a lock I'm predicting Evan Moss backrack to win for season two of The Bear he had a standout episode in Forks I believe that's the episode in which he had great material with his onscreen daughter really emotional episode he's I think like singing Taylor Swift at the top of his lungs driving in a car he won last year for supporting actor and he's great on the show he's a big performance loud performance excellent onscreen chemistry with IO and Jeremy and I don't think that vot splitting is going to affect this race L Bo is obviously great in the bear but Evan Moss backro is transcendent and and I think he's going to win again this year I don't think there's an obvious second place so I think that definitely helps him and yes congrats to Ean mbra on your second consecutive Emmy for Outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series the nominees are Carol Bernett for Palm Royale Liza colonas for the bearer Hannah binder for hack Janelle James for Abbot Elementary Cheryl Ralph for Abid Elementary and Merill stre for only murders in the building I love this lineup of actresses kale Bernett and Merl Streep are obviously iconic greatest actresses of all time great to see them recognize here I am predicting Hannah einbinder to win for hacks season 3 she's been excellent on the show for three seasons she was obviously she was wasn't very well known before so she's considered a breakout for this show and in that season 3 finale when she goes off on Jean Smart's character she is just amazing in that scene in the whole episode in the whole season and at the very end of that episode I'm not going to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen hacks yet but o my gosh she's amazing and I also feel like the hacks team the cast and crew are all sort of campaigning on her behalf if you see interviews with Jean Smart she talks about Hannah bind her how amazing she is so there's just so much support behind her and I really do feel like it is genuinely the best performance in this category I'm going with her I do think that there could be an upset with Liza colen Zas or Merl Streep I say Liza Coen Zas because if the bear sweeps she could go along for the ride especially considering her stand up episode even though it's in season 3 she has a standout episode which was really really great and I think she was really great in that episode maybe she'll win next year but you know that could help her if people have that in the back of their mind when they're voting little bit of a tangent about that but there is a chance that Liza kenas could win this category and obviously Marl stre is Marl stre I feel like she gets nominated more than she wins but she has won multiple Emmys she was really really really good in only murders in the building season 3 she's playing an actress she's like playing a bad actress and that's hard for her because she's a great actress so you know definitely a stretch she sings in the show she does a lot she's Merl Streep I mean you can't deny her there's just something in me that says Hannah imer is going to win I think a lot of people like I said are championing her and I'm going with my gut I'm going with Hannah iron binder and it would be such a great win to see her got up on that stage and accept that award for a truly iconic comedic performance in hacks next up for outstanding directing for a comedy series the nominees are Abid Elementary for episode party directed by Randall Einhorn hacks for episode bulletproof directed by Luchia anello the bear for episode fishes directed by Christopher stoer the bear for episode honeydew directed by Ramy y the gentleman for episode refined aggression directed by Guy Richie and the Miss patch show for episode I'm the papy directed by Mary Lou Bal for this category I'm going to predict the bear for episode fishes to win fishes was the standout episode of season two of The Bear It's the episode where I believe it's Christmas that episode has so many guest stars that all gave great little performances we had Sarah pson John malany Bob Odenkirk and obviously Jam Lee Curtis there's just so much going on in the episode it's so chaotic there's screaming yelling fighting cars driving through houses all the chaos I mean that show is all chaos all the time but this episode specifically is chaos Central and I think that Christopher store did a really good job of you know navigating that directing that and putting that all together into one excellent episode of television and so I just don't think that vot splitting will be a factor here I don't think I don't even remember what happened in the episode honeydew and I don't think it will pull votes from the bear and Fishes if there was an upset I would say hacks because hacks upset in season one in this category it upset Ted lasso it could just do that again upset and directing for bulletproof but I do think that fishes was an iconic episode and an exceptional directorial achievement so I do feel confident that fishes will win this category next up for outstanding writing for a comedy series the nominees are Abbot Elementary for episode career day written by Quinta Brunson girls fva for episode Orlando written by Meredith Scardino and Sam means hacks for episode bulletproof written by Lucia and Paul WDS and Jen statsky the bear for episode fishes written by Christopher store and Joanna callow the other two for episode Brook hosts the night of undeniable good written by Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider and what we do in the shadows for episode Pride Parade written by Jake bender and Zack Dunn very strong field here I've seen every one of these shows except for what we do in the shadows and all all the shows that I had seen amazing writing especially these episodes for this category I'm going to predict that hack takes it for bulletproof I just loved that finale and I mentioned Jean Smart and Hannah iron binder's fight scene and there was something big that happened at the end of the episode and the whole season was great but that last episode was amazing the show is about writing comedy writing specifically and I feel like the em tend to gravitate towards shows like that that are very meta in that way and it won writing for season 1 this would technically be an upset because I think that people are predicting the bear to win for fishes which also has a great script great dialogue in that episode too a lot of dialogue for that matter and there's no vote splitting there's no other the bear episode so like I really do think that the bear has a great chance of winning but I like to predict some upsets here and there and that's why I'm predicting hacks they would both be very well-deserved wins but it be great to see hack win it'd be great to see a more even split of awards it'd be really boring if the bear wns seven for seven Awards which I don't think it will but last year it won six out of seven and it was boring so I think if hack wins this one that would be great and I would love to see it so let's hope that happens yay for hacks that's what I'm predicting for outstanding limited or Anthology series the nominees are baby reindeer Fargo lessons in chemistry Ripley and True Detective night country for this category I'm predicting baby reindeer to win when baby reindeer premiered in April everyone was obsessed with it Twitter loved it it was just great hot new show Sensational it kind of reminds me last year of beef which was also a Netflix show that sort of was hot new came out in April and that ended up winning a bunch of Emmys and it was sort of this cool new iconic crazy chaotic show all of these shows all these nominees are great I just don't think there's a solid second place choice I don't think any of the other shows here got as much buzz and rave reviews as baby reindeer did and I feel like baby rinder is the most unique most iconic in a way and the biggest hit so I do think baby reindeer is going to do very well it wasn't the most nominated limited orthology series I believe there were a few other limited nalia series that got more nominations in it it only got 11 but even 11 is a good haul and it got nominations in the key categories that it was predicted to I am very confident that baby reindeer is going to win this category for outstanding lead actor in a limited orthology series or movie the nominees are Matt bower for fellow Travelers Richard Gad for baby reindeer John Ham for Fargo Tom Hollander for Feud capot versus the swans and Andrew Scott for Ripley I do think this race is a bit open they're all very strong performances but I'm going to predict Richard Gad takes this one baby reindeer like I said iconic show big hit he created the show he wrote the show he gave a really great performance so it would be so well earned even though it's an open field it would definitely make sense that Richard Gad wins this award I feel like the Emmys love multi-hits like him and especially if the show ends up sweeping like shows have been doing recently like beef swept last year then Richard Gad obviously would go along with that ride in terms of who else could win theoretically any of them could win maybe Tom Holland herb because that was an extremely transformative performance in Feud and that's a Ryan Murphy show and Ryan Murphy's shows tend to do well in the EMS a lot of actors have won awards from his shows so that could happen I wouldn't count anyone in this category out but I would say that Richard Gad is a safe bet for this category for outstanding lead actress in a limited or Anthology series or movie the nominees are jod Foster for True Detective KN country Brie Larson for lessons in chemistry Juno Temple for Fargo Sophia varara for Griselda and Naomi Watts for Feud capot versus the swans I am predicting that jod Foster will win this category for her outstanding phenomenal loud performance in True Detective night country while her character may be unlikable you cannot deny that she does an iconic job in that show as the detective of this town where there's this murder mystery going on in night country Alaska where it's dark all the time was a great show it got like 19 nominations I think more than any other limited series she's an iconic actress been working for 50 years now she's never won an me so obviously there's that narrative going for her and it just makes sense that she would win I would say it's definitely not a lock there's a slight chance that maybe Juno Temple or Brie Larson could win both of their shows were in The Limited Anthology series category and got double digit nominations so you know maybe watch out for those performances my pick would be svia varara not only for her iconic performance as Griselda Blanco in Griselda but for her iconic career 11 amazing seasons on monor family which she was sort of the breakout star of and I just love her as an actress I love her as a person and it'd be great to see her get some recognition for great work in 10 plus years in the industry but that show only got three nominations I don't think it's happening and I think that jod Foster is going to end up taking this one for outstanding supporting actor and a limited or Anthology series or movie the nominees are Jonathan Bailey for fellow Travelers Robert Downey Jr for the sympathizer Tom Goodman Hill for baby reindeer John Hawks for True Detective night country LaMore Morris for Fargo Lewis Pullman for lessons in chemistry and Treat Williams for Feud capot versus the swans this category is a little bit all over the place I feel like it's very hard to predict I don't think there's an obvious front runner but I am predicting Jonathan Bailey to win this category my basis for this prediction is that he won the critic's choice award in January none of the other actors here have won any awards and I feel like in years past the winner of this category was sort of defaulted to actors who had won winter Awards previously for this performance I think of last year Paul Walter Hower for Blackbird he won winter awards for his performance then he went on months later to win the miy also I think of Ben Wishaw this was a bit longer ago in like 2018 or 2019 I believe uh he had won many winter awards for a very English Scandal he eventually won the Emmy much much later for the same performance so I feel like little bit of a parallel there with Jonathan Bailey he's also a hot upand cominging actor in projects like Bridgerton he's going to be in Wicked he's going to be in heart sopper season 3 great actor people love him and it would be really great to see him get up there if anyone is going to beat him like I said it's pretty up in the air so I think really hypothetically anyone could win this category but I think months ago people were predicting Robert Jenny Jr to win this award for the sympathizer but that was the show's only nomination and I don't think him being hot off an Oscar win is enough to pull that show to win its only nomination I could see Tom Goodman Hill winning for baby reindeer if baby reindeer was sweeping but he was only in like two episodes I think it was a very villainous evil vile character and I don't know if the Emmys would want to recognize that performance I'm just going to stick with Jonathan Bailey and I feel confident I feel good in that pick and that'd be a great moment to see him win for outstanding supporting actress in a limited orthology series or movie the nominees are Dakota Fanning for Ripley Lily Gladstone for under the bridge Jessica gunning for baby reindeer Asia Naomi King for lessons in chemistry Tian Lane for Feud capot versus the swans Nava ma for baby reindeer and Calli Reese for True Detective night country for this category I'm predicting Jessica gunning to win I am nearly 100% confident in this prediction she gave an exceptional performance in this show standout breakout basically the co-lead of this show with Richard Gad she just steals every single scene she's in I was blown away by her performance she made me feel all the feels at one point you're scared of her and you hate her at other points you really feel bad for her and sometimes you're rooting for her it's just it's just an unbelievable and insane performance and I don't think Nava Mau is going to pull any votes from her even though she was great in the show she was definitely more of a secondary character it's just Jessica gunning to lose at this point and I will be extremely surp PR if anybody else wins this category so congrats to Jessica gunning on your upcoming Emmy Award for outstanding directing for a limited orthology series or movie the nominees are baby reindeer for episode 4 directed by Veronica toila Fargo for episode The Tragedy of the commons directed by Noah Holly Feud capot versus the swans for episode pilot directed by Gus Van Sant lessons in chemistry for episode poro directed by millison Shelton Ripley directed by Steven zelen and True Detective night country directed by Issa Lopez for this category I'm predicting True Detective night country to win I feel like people are predicting baby reinder to win the reason I went mat True Detective night country is the show in general is a great show like I said before 19 nominations I feel like the direction of it was really good it's only six episodes and the way they split it up and put it all together it's just incredible direction for all the episodes and I feel like the fact that it nominated for the whole season helps its chances and they get the chance to honor a whole show which is directed by one person Issa Lopez whereas baby reindeer has different directors for episodes so they can't submit the whole season so I I think that's going to benefit them and I like to predict upsets I like to try and figure out where there's going to be surprise wins and I feel like this could be a category where there's surprise win and and so that's what I'm going with but baby reindeer could easily win this board if it sweeps which it could sweep so you never know what's going to happen here but I am going to stick with True Detective night country for outstanding writing for a limited orthology series or movie the nominees are baby Reindeer written by Richard Gad Black Mirror for episode Joan is awful written by Charlie Brooker Fargo for episode The Tragedy of the commons written by Noah Holly fellow Travelers for episode your wonderful written by Ron nice winner Ripley written by Steven Zen and True Detective night country for episode part six written by Issa Lopez for this category I am predicting baby reindeer to win I feel safe with this pick I feel like Richard gad's writing was very very strong the show is sort of about his journey as a writer and as a comedian so I feel like that meta aspect will help it I think the fact that the whole show is recognized in this category Richard Gad wrote the whole show so the whole limited series was recognized as one in this category I think that definitely helps it as opposed to something like to detective night country which is only recognized for one episode You could argue that having the whole series recognized helps you but overall like I said baby reindeer is arguably the number one show I think it's going to do really well I think it's going to win writing another factor that you could consider is like I said when I was talking about actor they love these multi- henet writer actors I think of like Phoebe Waller Bridge who won emys for writing acting and producing flea bag so I feel like I'm getting sort of parallels between Phoebe wallbridge and Richard Gad and I just feel like out of all these shows baby reindeer has the strongest writing and it's the number one show so and I think it's going to win this category Phoebe's here hey phe I'm sure you heard her in the background shouting yelling screaming she's back I know you missed her thank you all so so much for tuning in to my predictions for who I think is going to win at the 2024 prime time Emmy Awards I hope you all tune in on Sunday September 15th the emms are on at 87 Central on ABC I
