I few a few things but firstly just say what a crowd eh what an atmosphere what a day an event it was play our part for 65 minutes or so and um so proud of a lot of the efforts and the care and how we defended and took opportunities and then all those things a little bit of discipline probably little bit stuff we could get off our back end of our field better and it's a different game so yeah small margins T fo0 Captain Scott um last 10 minutes the last quarter the intensity L to pick up considerably well for us at least didn't feel like that for you and what was the intensity like the final quarter yeah I think uh the spring box that have won the territory battle and when they get the ball in that end of the field uh yeah I guess the crowd certainly getting behind them and um yeah our discipline probably fed them even more so so uh yeah it is frustrating to be um have that lead at the 60 odd points UH 60 odd minutes and then um yeah to lead them in like that and and you spoke in the week about discipline is that exactly what went wrong those small things of the breakdown of the set yeah yeah parts of it um of interpretation and we weren't clean enough and and you made the call R what was your view on the B game try that maybe not on maybe what pardon was it the bong try okay now I just checking if it was a try or not um uh oh look you see then I saw what you saw we saw what you saw so I can't we can't say anymore it's dangerous area if you start talking about ref freeze and stuff so must the way you set your up against the yeah look the scrum stuff was exceptional uh it's got a great line out try line out Mall try um defended for long periods of time and uh just just yeah they got down the end and after a few multi phases after the tip piece they scored so this next prob with to to get right score points the last minutes um why that it's the first time I've heard that state so good work um I'll have a look at it coach um in the past we've seen we know the All Blacks with 10 minutes left to play and the 10-point lead is used to guarantee that the win um what do you believe is the reason that you wen't able to do that today maybe is it a credit to what's going on in your team or what about the spring BS that made it so difficult for us wi that I look you just repeat the answer from before really it's obviously the discipline stuff bit of kick battle small moments and the game changed you know just a little bit of momentum and then off the back of that with a bit of discipline all those things combined really coach um looking at the two benches from the two teams will you ever especially when into those last the dam of the game look over your shoulder with that spring bomb squad and say that might be the difference when you look at the experience they have as opposed to maybe the experience you have a bench especially some players not having played L South Africa before Ben yeah you can consider it that way you look the South African players could start couldn't they they've got a good depth and they and they play that that well but you know we still opportunities um great experience for those young guys but we've just got to execute better because said we're going to finish tests better coaching coaching Captain you obviously surrended the record yet far lost 10 years you go down to C to next week and haven't been there for a while just how much theing forward to being back in case I'm considering the amount of support guys yeah uh uh the a great uh week down in Cape Town uh we're looking forward to it there's always plenty of support down there um and yeah I guess we'll relish the the occasion and um hopefully put a performance in that's a little bit better T than tonight scooter is there is there any consolation the fact that you guys scored four the Box yeah I guess that's uh positive there were a lot of positives out of the game tonight but um yeah to take the foot off the pedal with 15 minutes to go that's sort of uh I guess the frustrating part for us and um yeah a world class side like the spring box will punish you when when you're not quite accurate in your own half mention last I guess it's the same for both teams it certainly challenges your uh decision making um you know uh it's a hell of an arena but I think that's where we Thrive we love that those moments and um yeah we'll be better for that experience I mention few three times tonight around how small margins there are so got to get those those little moments right start for you just the atmosphere an opposing Team all of that experience uh yeah it's amazing um yeah there were a few quiet patches uh within that game which was I guess pleasing but um I guess they had the last draw in the last 10 minutes and um yeah I guess that hurts a we bit coach U the four trials have mentioned and and a couple of them were fantastic counter attack efforts do do you feel like the backline is is kind of settled now and that your attack is also kind of we took a few moments yeah I suppose so when you how many tests in this season you know there six tests this year and um you have 10 10 days to get it before the start of of the year and it's going to take a little bit of time so look it was pleasing we showed some um some Enterprise some good skills you know we've got hell of a depth in their backline yet some of those players that ear in the 23 you know you rank Kylie in any um team in the world so you know you pick your best test team for for this week and then um give guys opportunities if they take them and build depth oh look he he some great moments didn't he he uh controlled the game reasonably well well majority of the game well uh he he's pretty electric and you saw that side of him but also a good test footy player who uh knows how to manage the game and get B and better got is there any injury concerns here of next week we're good we're good it's another positive yeah normally AMS come jump home me straight away but now there's no news so far there where we could have taken that away and won that game and I guess late late in the half sort of 20 minutes 15 minutes to go we sort of put ourselves on a little bit of pressure with a little bit of discipline against a team like sou Africa you know they're going to put you under put you under pressure through the H pace which they did so um I think there's still some good things we can take out of it leading us next weekend just just a bit of trouble scoring points at the back end of the game that's four T in a row now you guys haven't scored any points in the last 20 minutes yeah yeah I think um some will probably have a look at I think just been doing a good job in the past few weeks but I guess we just got to be a bit more accurate in the second half um you know it's there I don't think it's too far away so yeah I think there's some positive things to take away came down to some pretty fine margins like discipline wise like how how do you fix that uh yeah I think it's those 50/50 ones where you know you kind of want to have a crackle you shouldn't so I guess yeah it's about pushing the boundaries but not pushing them too far and I think you know we got some penalties towards us this week uh today and then a couple against us so yeah like like I said against the South African team great kickers put the ball in the corner and the set pieces is really good it's um it's never easy to stop so we will look at that this week D it's been a while since the or BS have lost the freedom cup that's next weekend now is that going to be a a talking point for you guys this week com yeah I think we we know what's required from us um no lack of motivation whatsoever and I think like I said there were glimps tonight there for for majority of that game we we played some great rby we really in control of the game and then we just foot off p a little bit so and you you got a credit they obviously at last 20 they were hungry and they fought and put us under a lot of pressure so we know what's on the line next weekend so be ready from Individual individual point of view they're rushing you know Rush def confidence seem to go of them yeah they they they bring a lot of line speed um we always knew that was coming it's the way they defend so yeah I think the first half we were able to create opportunities and find that space and the second half we probably didn't have as many opportunities scored a great trial set piece and enjoyed his under um again I think when we get into that area where we're attacking we just s of need to hold the ball for a little bit longer and it's definitely there um sort of in the first half so that is a positive was the it's a little bit harder to breathe yeah uh but I think it's you know it's a great atmosphere to play in front of um I think we definitely have plenty of juice still left in the leagues um and yeah it's just that last 20 where we s of just need left the team power game um which I think we can do Daman uh we about the spring forward back in their power did their backline ask questions you haven't seen them ask before I think they yeah I think um Sasha the team was really good tonight I think he offers a his Dynamic he's you got to keep an eye on him he's got a great kicking game um so yeah they threw the ball around a little bit they've got great kickers on their side so definitely put puts you under a lot of pressure obviously we know South Africa got a great SE piece around their full but um yeah I think they back to the the job T um a lot has just been made about what happened during the H A lot of people said it was very disrespectful what did you think of it yeah it's look it's the first time I've I've played here in Johannesburg um I was told it was pretty loud I guess yeah it's you know you can understand the the the rules of the crowd the music's a little bit yeah probably don't agree with as much um plane fly over the plane yeah and that's I don't know when the plane was supposed to flow but yeah I guess it's you know we're it's an opportunity for us to connect with how you run back home and now thing and I guess we knew the noise was going to be there but it's out of my control what do you think ofes fo yeah really good um he's a great player skillful um got to keep an eye on him in terms of Defense he's he offers a lot he's got a great kicking game and for a young gu he plays a lot of confidence so um he did a great job tonight A good good young player how yeah sure cap Town's a great place um played a lot of rugby there but I'm looking forward to that I think see disappointed tonight her but exciting for what opportunity we've got next weekend and would you say that championship for you guys not at all no um we got to keep fighting um it's one week at a time and you know we weren't far away tonight so we have to build for next weekend D you asked about change rooms before last another you got a smudge on your head much that that's just so I don't forget my plays pretty much yeah yeah yeah they played exactly how we expected them to direct physical um I thought we played really well for large parts of that game just year to let that slips quite disappointing you had a unique position your off off by that point in time but the last 20 minutes just didn't feel like it clicked as well as the first hour what were you seeing from from the touch line yeah just he got to be a lot more clinical a lot more discipline gave him too many looks inside our 22 does it feel like if you fix that up then 7 Days time in Cape Town then you can capitalize and get a win over the spring Box Zone 100% like I said we I felt we're on top for a large part of that game um come out of halftime had a really good 15 minutes after that so a lot of positives to take just yeah that last 10 15 minutes we got to be a bit better how did you find the the forward battle the scrum battle throughout um that match it was pretty um ding-dong wasn't it yeah it was yeah um like I said they we know how they play they play direct physical they want to scrum your line out um and I thought we competed really well in that area a few scrums we just let them get what they want around the setup so yeah we'll review that and be a lot better next week yeah do you feel that the team last couple of performances Wellington preps the side that you are building to some really good stuff at the moment um yeah definitely um looking like a lot better team yeah it's just clinical and those real crucial moments
