Layne Riggs Wins At The Milwaukee Mile

the NASCAR Craftsman truck race is officially included from the middle walking mile and we see Lan RS pick up his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory at the Milwaukee Mile what's going guys it's Daniel and welcome back to our video I just got done watching NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in the Milwaukee ma the lead win at 175 we had quite a bit to talk about from this race let's go and talk about so before the green flag drop in today's race Roger C and Justin Carol would all have to go to the rear for unapproved adjustments so at to start of the race he had time of Jesse lead from the inside with Tanner gray on the outside and Tama Jessie got a fantastic start and was able to clear for the race lead meanwhile there was some really good racing up front early between Christian Ekans and Tai Mesi where Christian was trying to catch Tai Mesi early and eventually about 10 or 15 laps going in stage number one Christian De is able to come up to time Mesi and was able to pass him to take the race lead through the traffic Christian neet started pulling away and got a massive lead but then everything changed on lap 48 when Jason Alexander got sway hit the outside wall with a flat tire bringing out the first caution of this race then he had a little strategy where guys like Ty Dylan and J Garcia decided to stay out after the Jason Alexander wck his day would come to an end by the way and then Christian ekas also won the race off Pit Row but they decided to extend a caution way longer and this would give Ty Dylan his first ever stage win in the truck series winning stage number one at the Milwaukee Mile and then they extended the caution for a few extra laps ridiculous on NASCAR race control I don't know why it took so long for them to get that caution through there's no reason it should have taken seven laps there and they took an extra four or five laps it's just ridiculous we basically ran under caution for 15 laps completely unacceptable in my opinion so then on the restart you have Christian neas lead the field from the inside with Tai maesa on the outside and Christian neas got a fantastic restart and was able to clear for the race lead then he had some really good racing because actually Cory Heim got a speeding penalty by the way he had to go to the rear but you had a lot of great racing in for second between christianas and not christianas Lane Ray and Tai maesi as Lane Ray keeping up for a little bit he'd be Factor later and then eventually Tai with Jesse got a great run from Lane rays and was able to get by for second but it wouldn't matter at the end as Christian ekas would come off the corner pull out the big Lee and win stage number two and then during the caution everyone come down Pit Road with Christian ekas win the race off Pit Row with Cory ham getting a ton of positions moving up five spots so then on the restart you Chris neas lead the field from the inside with Lane rigs on the outside and Christian neas got a fantastic run and was able to clear for the lead but he washed up the race truck really really hard and Tai M Jessie got a who gave a great push to christianas he got a fantastic run and was able to pass him for the race lead then all of a sudden Lane RS who had not w a truck race ever up to this point was challenging really hard for the race lead gave a fantastic run to Tai maesi was able to pass Tai maesi for the race lead after really great great battle between both them Ty thought was going to hang on but no Lane got a really great run about 50 laps to go and was able to clear Tai maesi for the race lead and then Lane Riggs started checking out at this point Lane rggs was of course looking for his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Victory trying to play playoff spoiler and in the beginning he started pulling away but then he started fading back Majestic would be faster one lap then the next lap we saw L Rigsby quicker but eventually that truck which was really good on the long run really start started pulling away and he had about a 1.3 second lead over taian jesi with about 15 laps to go in the race and we saw Ty Mesi eventually though start cutting the Gap back in it looked like he was going to have a chance and opportunity to get to Lane race but it wouldn't matter as they came to the White Flag Lane rggs had about a 1.4 second lead as he had time ma jesi used his stuff up it wouldn't really matter at the end and Tai maesi tried everything to get there but it would not be enough and coming out the final Corner Lane rigs picks up his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory in the number 38 car the first win for front row in the in all three Series so far this year congratulations to Lane Riggs he has been improving so much in the Craftsman Truck Series so far in 2024 if you look look at the last three straight races he finished and believe in the top five at IRP finished in third at Richmond and I feel like that win has been coming for laning breaks for a very long while I really thought coming into this year and I had forgot there was a rookie crew chief at the time but I really thought coming in this year that lane Briggs is going to set the world on fire especially on short tracks and it's taken a long time for this team to really jel but he's been so good so far this year especially as of recently and I know he's not competing for a plus but if you're front row and you have a chance to keep him you need to keep laying risk he's been showing so much improvement this is a massive win for him it's kind of crazy seeing Legacy names win you saw Jeff Burton's kid Harrison Burton get the victory in the Cup Series race and then of course you saw Ryan TRS his brother Mar TR your pick up the win at Daytona kind of crazy seeing all these Legacy names go to Victory Lane I'm so happy for Lane I've been a big fan of his for a couple years now I think he earned it today I think he had the fastest truck at the end of the race congratulations to Lane race on picking up his first career truck series win at the Milwaukee Mile he absolutely earned a congratulations to him to getting it done so now we're go ahead and take a look at the race results and I'll give my score thoughts on today's race the lane picks up the victory time M jesi finish the second a really good day for the playoffs All Things Considered but I really thought he was going to have a chance and opportunity to get it done just didn't have the speed it D in The Catch Lane but a really good day nonetheless he's got a lot of momentum currently at the moment I think he's going to be taking it to Christian ekas and Cory Heim for this Championship really great day for Tai he finishes second Christian ekas finishes third he was really good in the middle portion of this race and fortunately they had that bad restart I thought he was going to get this S as he looked like he had the fastest truck for majority of this event unfort he faded back just a little bit and with the dirty air coming to play it was very difficult to pass but still a great day for Christian got a sage win as well he finished thir fantastic day for him Nick Sanchez finishes fourth really solid day for Nick didn't have a truck that compete for the win but a really solid top five day that's going to help him the playoff points especially solid day for Nick Sanchez good day for him he finishes in fourth Taylor gra finished fifth they struggled early in this race but they made that truck a lot better it's really good to see this team run up front I expected him to be more of a threat in the beginning but they've made that truck better recently another top five for him good day for him in fifth place Tyler anchor finished six a quiet day for him but he kept his nose clean had a really good battle there for about six seven position between him Taylor Gray and Cory Heim a solid day for him a good day overall he finishes in six that's going to help in the playoffs as well Cory Heim finished seventh a little disappointing he did come back a little bit from that speeding penalty and did have that good pit stop but he just never had the truck to compete for the win he had a best of third or fourth place truck just never had the speed to content I thought he'd be more of a threat to go to Victory still had a good day all things considered but it could have been way worse but it wasn't a great day he finishes in seventh d d finishes a man Michael wal's definitely happy right now considering he's moving up to xfin full-time next year d d quite top 10 did get some points today was running around that 10th 11th Place range most of the day does get a solid top 10 good day for Daniel Dy Ben Rose finished knife they struggled early in this race they had about a 15th to 20th Place truck but they worked on that truck they got a lot better and they get a very Sol top 10 finish in nin good day for him he leads the Thor sport trucks which struggle most of the day solid day for Ben roads and knin Matt Crafton finished 10th not a bad day for Matt he was good early well good in the middle portion faded back a little bit but he does get a solid top 10 not a bad day for Matt Crafton uh Tanner gray finished 11th they were good early in this race but they faded back quite a bit he finished 11 he has a new crew chief that being Jason bat we'll talk about him later this week and him going over there solid day for Tanner though he finished 11th Kaden honey cup finished 12th I expect more from Kaden he had a top five truck but unfortunately the pit stops really cost him a shot an opportunity they've got to work on Pit Road it's been a big issue with n Motorsports all year long tough day for kayen at the end of the day he could have gotten a chance to win but he does finish in 12 Grant INF finger finished 13th disappointing day for Grant I expected Grant to be more of a threat and Contender for the win today and he never really had the chance and opportunity to go up there they had about at best a 10th Place car disa day for a team it's been showing a lot of improvement I expected especially of how good he's been at this track and how good he was last year I thought he was going to be a threat he wasn't a major Contender he finished 13th William Walsh finished 14th he was really good early but he faded back to around 20th but they made that truck a little better he does get a top 15 he did get the win in the arcer race earlier today could have been better day but it wasn't a great day all thing considered for William swall Jack wood finishes 15th Ty Dylan who actually won stage one finished 16th again Matt benetto still did better last year in the truck than Tai did but it's cool to see him get a stage win Sammy Smith finished 17th I expected more from Sam Amy today to be honest he just never had the truck under him which is a big surprise I feel like spy has been dropping off a little bit in their performance as of recently not a great day overall for Sammy expecting to be a top five Contender he finished 17th Raj crew finished 18th he had to go to the rear of the field he qualified in eighth position I really thought that he was going to be a threat to go up there and contend for a top 10 they never had the Speed again dirty air was a major problem in this race it was very difficult to pass so he never really got the chance and opportunity to go up there just not a great day overall for Roger though could have been a lot better he finishes 18th Dean Thompson finishes 19th steuart freezen finished 20th Jake Garcia of course took over Haley de go in this year he has not had a great year he's been struggling he finished 21st Conor Jones finished 22nd Chase py finished 23rd Matt Mills finished 24th Tammy Hill finished 25th Brett Holmes finished 26th Mason maio finished 27th Spencer boy finished 28th bayy curry after tire issues he finished 29th Dexter Bean finished 30th Marco and Drey finished 31st M finished 32nd Matthew gold making his truck series debut finished 33rd Justin Carrol finished 34th l sound finished 35th with Tire issues and Jason Alexander finished last in 36 after crashing out so now we're going to talk about D race as a whole I'll give my score thoughts on today's race today's race was okay to be honest it has some good good moments for sure the first stage was kind of boring to be honest it did have a good battle between majes and eaz there for a little bit and then Sage chewy had some really good racing between rigs for a little bit there and Eis but it was so difficult to pass I will say beginning of stage three was very very good and it was really entertaining there but outside of that Lan Briggs has kind of held on to the lead it's kind of like your standard NASCAR race they're not always going to be bangers you're going to sometimes have really good races and sometimes you're going to have bad races or sometimes you're just going to have okay races today's race in Milwaukee was okay it wasn't great it wasn't horrible it was just okay it was a decent race overall so for my score of today's cup not cup Truck Series race at Milwaukee Mile I'm going to give a race overall a 6 and a half out of or Mayan even a 6 out of 10 it was an okay race like I said headest moments for sure it's really cool to see a first time winner in the truck series the racing though could have been a lot better but it is Milwaukee and it's kind of like New Hampshire and New Hampshire hasn't always put on the greatest racing it's kind of like Milwaukee we know Milwaukee's probably not coming back to the truck series schedule at this point for next year but nonetheless that was an okay race but it wasn't a great
