to to be a great guy and a great coach like he has been and continue to to to lead this defense and he's doing a great job so far and you know we love the way that he's came in and taken over been a great leader and a a great and a great coach for us so we're we're excited for the future how much has he meant to you personally since he got here just in terms of your development and what he's been able to to help you accomplish yeah I mean he he means the most you know he's he's so into every single one of us as a player and you know genuinely cares about us getting better and you know wants to wants to find ways to make us better and you know really gives us gives us opportunities and to to chase that you know I think he's he's got he's got a really special special eye for talent and developing players and he's he's doing a great job of it so far seem like just's overall the confidence with the defense right now a little bit different vibe than it's been around here in the last couple years yeah for sure I mean going into our third year in this kind of Venable is alley SL alley defense now it's we got we got a lot of guys that have played a lot of football in the system and you know we got a lot of confidence that comes with that so like seeing a guy like Grayson hton who's walking right behind you pressing go out and make some of the plays that he did early in that game being disrupted yeah that's incredible man he's he's one of the highest energy guys on our team and you know he's he's always bringing the juice and always a fun guy guy to be around and so seeing a guy like that going out and making plays and you know be able to show out on the field and bring that energy on the field like he does off the field is incredible and you know just that's a testament to all the work that he puts in appreciate it man thanks J appreciate it guys thank you for you if you don't mind um the U touchdown I was not rolling tape when you were talking about the touchdown can you kind of describe that play for me yeah of course I mean first things first I got to give all the credit to to my teammate my brother leis Carter you know all I had to do was was make sure I didn't fall in my face picking the ball up and you know didn't hit my head on the goal post or anything but he uh you know he ran down and strained down and was able to get that ball out and so it's all the all the sorry I'm blanking here all the credit goes to him mhm if you're I mean you work your butt off at linebacker and you know you try to learn the defense and you get out there for a special teams play and you're in the end zone yeah totally unexpected right I mean it's like a thunderbolt yeah I mean what's that feel like it's somewhat unexpected but at the same time you know that's kind of that's kind of what we what we go for on special teams on defense too is we're always looking to get that ball and you know get get points so so I I just another quick follow I guess that felt pretty good can you describe the kind of the celebration you got speared by a helmetless Danny Danny stman came yeah I mean actually what happened was he was trying to tackle me he said and I actually need him in the face and so he think he might have a mile concussion right now which you know he kind of deserves he's kind of a kind of pain on my ass sometimes but you know it's it's great to you know see those guys getting excited for something like that you know just just great to contribute to the team in that way it's been a minute since we talked to you but what did it mean to you to see Danny decide to skip the draft and come back for this season yeah I mean he's he's a great team guy and you know loves loves all the guys in this team genuinely and he's he's a great teammate and a great leader and you know he he knew that he still had some some work to do here you know knew that he had a had a family he was coming back to that would support him and you know make him better as he made us better so it's it means a lot to to see that and see him come back for for the fourth go around as someone who's been here for
