Motherless Child, Fatherless Son, 2X Rescued, Forever Grateful! With Gratitude for President Nelson!

hello it's David again uh it's uh the evening of the 10th of September over there in Utah at least it's a day later here so a day after president Nelson's HTH birthday our wonderful prophet and um my perspective on our Prophet I I'm not trying to say I'm I'm more thankful than others but hope disappointed makes the heart sick and I started searching the Earth for the true prophets of God and the true Covenant people of God that only exist where heavenly father has his prophet and I started looking for that um really at the age of 21 uh a long time ago you know that's that's what that's uh 48 49 years ago I started looking for that and hope disappointed makes the heart sick the scripture says in the Book of Proverbs but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life so I was crushingly disappointed because really true Prophets The True prophet and true Apostles prophets Sears and revelators especially as a quorum that lead Heavenly father's Covenant people don't exist anywhere on the earth other than in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints they're just not there the authority of the Kingdom the restoration of the priesthood the restoration of genuine Apostolic and prophetic Authority only exists in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I was utterly blinded to the reality of the Church of Jesus Christ of the latterday Saints having that for my whole life until last year and so having searched and been disappointed over and over again for almost 50 years naturally of course having finally found what I'm looking for the true church which is the city that has foundations whose Builder and maker is God as it says in Hebrews and the church that is the pillar and ground of the truth having finally found it the stone Kingdom of Daniel 2 uh what's it say in Peter The Chosen generation the royal priesthood the people set apart uh you know having finally found that my joy knows no bounds and um I'm not a fatherless child anymore the the title of this video is motherless child fatherless son twice rescued utterly thankful because I started out life at the age of one as a child who lost my mother to polio so I I was a motherless child from one to four when my dad remarried and my his new wife took me on and all of a sudden I wasn't motherless anymore so that had a huge effect on me to mother be a motherless child when my personality was being formed but I think it kind of prepared me for for once I realized what a crazy world it was and how damaged and sinful I was and that I really needed a savior and that became real to me at the age of 21 um and I realized the Bible was true and I started reading the Bible what I found in the New Testament and really in the Old Testament also is that our heavenly father interfaces with people through his Prophet through his prophet and his Apostles of course he he had 12 Apostles that he chose one of which betrayed him but you know the uh Apostles prophets hears and revelators of the early church and what it says throughout the New Testament in many many ways is that there isn't any kingdom of God on Earth there isn't any Covenant people of God on Earth apart from Heavenly Father bringing that about through Apostolic and prophetic me Ministry that of course has the keys to the priesthood and so I spent my whole life looking for president Nelson or you know his predecessors looking for the real prophets of God that I knew had to be on the earth somewhere and um to really have finally found last year uh genuine Propet a genuine prophet and genuine APO Apostolic and prophetic leadership that exists in a United Quorum of Apostles prophets Cirus and revelators 15 men led by our wonderful uh Prophet Russell M Nelson who is now in his what is it he's in his 101st year of ministry now uh 101 year of Life he's completed the 100th year and he's beginning his 101st year of uh life on this Earth but in any case I just want to share because it's amazing to me how many people say oh we don't need prophets it's very commonly believed and much of the church uh the non- Latter Day Saint church and sadly even around the fringes of the Church of Jesus Christ of latterday saints there seems like there's a fair number of people that don't really understand uh they they to some extent take our Prophet I think more lightly than they should they don't understand that having a true Prophet especially a true Prophet support Ed by a quorum of 12 Apostles and his two counselors 15 Apostles prophets Sears and revelators hearing from our father as one Led Led by our Prophet president Nelson that this is the appointed structure of the church that God ordained from the beginning of the church on the day of Pentecost and uh you know 2,000 years ago and he's never changed his mind and without our Prophet without prophets you do not have a kingdom of God on Earth you just can't have it and uh a lot of people seem to call that into question or take that I think lightly and in non Latter Day Saint Christianity in the 37,500 different varieties of non- Latter Day Saint Christianity many of them think uh Apostles and Prophets ceased uh back at the end of the first century and because they're not needed anymore because now we have the Bible and the Bible is now essentially the foundation and center of church Authority rather than Apostles and Prophets which of course is not what the Bible itself teaches the Bible itself and the Book of Mormon for that matter they're both the the record of our Heavenly father's interaction with his Covenant people through prophets that's what those collections of scripture are one in Palestine and one in the new world of course um but in any case I just want to share some scriptures because these are the scriptures that drove me for that 48 years of searching um because really I was a motherless child and then at the age of four all of a sudden I wasn't motherless anymore but then once I became a devout Christian and started reading the New Testament I still felt lost and alone essentially a fatherless son without a genuine father in the Lord that's really what what prophets are they they're like they're essentially like the the fathers of the church uh standing what do they call it there's a word for it they use with teachers uh it means uh in place of the parents and local parentis you know teachers teach in in the schools teachers teach their parents the children of parents in local parentis in the place of the parents and and really our prophet and the other Apostles prophets Sears and revelators they essentially father the church and local uh uh our heavenly father in in place of our heavenly father in place of Jesus Christ they are the Shepherds and Fathers as it were of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and that's so clear in the scriptures that we we just can't do without them and I didn't have them I you know the where the true Prophet was was completely hidden to me my entire adult life until last year so in any case I was essentially a fatherless son and as of last year I'm not fatherless anymore and uh as I as I'll explain as I go through this when I get to the end really I was uh begotten in the Lord uh my faith was largely birthed through president Russell M Nelson and I'll explain that at the end but really I regard president Nelson as my uh my uh spiritual father in the Lord and I actually have hope of actually being a true son now because you know if you're a son without a father you don't know what to do or how you should live what how how you should walk you don't know uh who you are if you don't have a if you don't have a father in the Lord and that's really uh what Apostles and Prophets are in a sense is they're they spiritual fathers to the sincere Disciples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints so in any case I just want to read some verses here that I saw in the scriptures for decades but I couldn't find anybody that genuinely in spirit and in truth fulfilled this function uh John 13:20 Jesus speaking of his Apostles and of course Apostles are also prophets all Apostles are Prophet Sears and revelators as well as Apostles but he says to his Apostles verily verily I say unto you he that rece receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me because you see when I ran into these Evangelical Christians when I was 21 and they read to me from the Gospel of John about the atonement of Jesus Christ and him dying for my sins and I was really cut to the heart I it just my eyes were open and I saw there really was a God and he really did love me and he proved it by sending his son to die for my sin and to give his all to uh shed his blood to cover my sin and I was like oh what do I need to do you know I was just I started sobbing actually I put my head on the kitchen table in h this house on Fourth Street in Olympia Washington where I was talking to these Evangelical Christians and I'm just I what do I need to do and they said well you need to you need to accept you need to receive Jesus as your personal savior so they led me in the sinner prayer and I asked Jesus into my heart to be my Lord and Savior and to forgive my sin uh the problem of course is once I started reading the Bible the next day and of course I was very excited when I got to the Gospel of John chap 1:12 it says as many as received him to them he gave the power to become the sons of God even to them that believe in his name I was like yes but then you keep reading in the gospels and you get to John 13:20 and Matthew 10 40 and 41 and Luke 10:16 okay and what it makes really clear Jesus makes very clear that in order to receive him you have to receive those that he sends you have to receive his Messengers his Apostles and Prophets that he sends to us if we don't receive those he sends we don't receive him or his father he makes that Crystal Clear if we despise and reject those he sends we despising and rejecting Jesus and his father so John 13:20 verily verily I say unto you he that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me Matthew 10:40 he that receiveth you speaking of his Apostles receiveth me and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me he that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward in other words if Heavenly Father sends us a prophet and we receive that Prophet we receive the same reward the prophet receives okay Luke 10:16 he that heareth you heareth me and he that despises you despises me and he that despises me despises him that sent me okay so our attitude to Jesus Christ and to our Heavenly Father is determined by what our attitude is to the apostles and Prophets that he sends to his people this is uh this is clear all right uh and then then I read in Acts 15 okay uh in Acts 15 this is what it says I'm going to share screen screen here briefly beautiful okay now this is in Acts 15 this is what I got to next and certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren and said except you be circumcised after the manner of Moses he cannot be saved when therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain other of them should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and Elders about this question so here the first place where uh the gospel was received where the gospel was being received by the uh by the Gentiles was in Antioch all right and uh in Syrian Antioch and there was a big dispute there because these Jewish Christians from a Pharisee background almost certainly they went up there and they said look you know you you've been baptized into Jesus Christ but you you're not keeping the laws the 614 laws of Moses and asking to be circumcised this doesn't work in order to be pleasing to God you have to keep the Mosaic law and be circumcised and this created a huge uproar uh because that's not what Paul had taught them Paul taught them that they didn't have to keep the laws of Moses and be circumcised and then these Jewish Christians come in and tell them that they have to and they didn't know what to think and so there was Division and disunity and strife and uh created was just totally messing everything up all right so they couldn't sort it out themselves because that's what heavenly father gives profits for to the church is to sort this stuff out the apostles the fun the purpose of the Apostles and Prophets is to receive Revelation from heavenly father about what's real and what isn't what's true and what isn't what the faith and practice of the church should actually be whenever there's any question or controversy and so U says when therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain other of them should go to Jerusalem to the apostles and Elders about this question okay so they sent them they sent Paul and Barnabas and some others to the apostles and Elders in Jerusalem to submit this question to them because they're the ones that had the the the calling and the authority from God to receive Revelation from our heavenly father to sort things out when there was a question all right and so anyway I'm not going to read the whole thing but they go there and there's this there's from verse two to verse 22 it describes in some detail all the uh there was a a great deal of dispute it says there was much dispute about this question it was a very difficult question because the all these leaders they were all from a a very strong Jewish background where keeping the law of Moses and circumcision was seen as absolutely necessary but but you know what they're hearing and po what Paul had heard was that it isn't necessary anymore okay and but this is a very challenging thing for them to hear they really needed Revelation from our heavenly father about this in order to get to one mind and one heart about it and so this is what's going on here let's see here all right so they they discuss it all and Heavenly Father brings Revelation by the holy ghost that no the the Gentiles do not need to keep the laws of Moses and be circumcised so in any in any case they hear from our father and they come to complete you Unity about the question which of course is a clear sign that the the spirit that brings Oneness which is the Holy Ghost the spirit of truth that that the Holy Ghost had given them the truth about the matter because they came to complete Unity so it says in verse 22 then it pleased the apostles and Elders with the whole church has send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas and they wrote Letters by them after this manner okay it says uh it seemed good unto us verse 25 being assembled with one Accord it says uh where is it now for it verse 28 for it seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us to lay upon you no greater burden in these necessary things and then they just list four things that they wanted them to observe so as to not stumble the Jews where they had churches and so it's they sent this letter and they were able to render an authoritative decision that it seemed good to the Holy Ghost and us to to they lay no greater burden on you than these necessary things and when they were dismissed they came to Antioch and when they gathered the multitude together they delivered the epistle which when they had read they rejoiced for the consolation verse 36 and some days after Paul said unto Barnabas let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we've preached the word of the Lord and see how they do and then in Acts 16:4 it says as they went through the cities they delivered them the decrees for to keep that were ordained of the Apostles and Elders which were at Jerusalem and so were the churches established in the faith and increased in number daily so this is this is how see the Jesus prayer I mean what I saw and what's really evident is that Jesus prayer in John 17 is that the fruit of his atonement would be that there would be a people that would come forth a covenant people on Earth that would be one visibly one practically one in faith and practice and understanding and in the way in in their Covenant path they would have one heart and one way okay and Jesus prayed that that would be the case that their leaders that the apostles would be one as the father and the son leading a covenant PE people who are one as the father and the son that the world would know that all the people of the earth that don't have faith yet that they could see that practical real tangible Oneness Supernatural Oneness because the one thing human beings can't do is be one naturally speaking but uh the fruit of the spirit gathers into one love gathers into one and that's what the Holy Ghost is is that Selfless Love That gathers into one and and so this is this is how all the people of the world are supposed to know where the real kingdom of God on Earth is is where there's Apostolic and prophetic leadership that like you see in Acts 15 that can hear from our heavenly father receive Revelation from the Celestial Kingdom and by the Holy Ghost and be one in their leadership as the father and the son so there can be a covenant people who are one as the father and the son and that's the proof of where the authority of the kingdom is okay and uh this this is evident to me from these verses and so what what you see that's something that wasn't just a decision for Antioch or for Jerusalem but Paul took it to every place where the where they'd established the church where the gospel had been preached and they delivered to them those same decrees that had been determined by the apostles Jerusalem and so this is how the unity of the spirit and the bond of Peace was maintained was by this is why the foundation of the church as it says if if we look here on the screen Ephesians 2:9 all right now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners but fellow citizens okay with the Saints and of the household of God and are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets Jesus Christ himself being the Chief Cornerstone in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a holy Temple in the Lord so you know the foundation verse 20 that the Saints are built on the foundation of Apostles and Prophets with Jesus Christ himself is the Chief Cornerstone and of course you could see that in in U Act chapter 2 when the first church was very first birst on the earth okay the Holy Ghost was poured out with the Holy Spirit and fire they received the Holy Ghost this Mighty baptism of the Holy Ghost and um the early Apostles they went out and they preached the gospel so the three million Jews that were gathered in Jerusalem for the Feast of Pentecost H uh half of them were there year round and the other half a million and a half Jews streamed to Jerusalem during the three Pilgrim feasts Passover Pentecost and Tabernacles from all over the Known World okay wherever they normally lived three times a year they were supposed to present themselves at at the temple and they would come to Jerusalem to celebrate the pilgrim Feast okay and so they they go out and they preach the gospel and for the first time in the power of the Holy Ghost the the apostles preach Jesus Christ and him crucified to the assembled people and those who gladly received this they received they were cut to the heart that their sins had crucified their Savior and they cried out what must we do brothers and what they heard this is what you must do Peter told them and the others also I'm sure this is what you must do repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you will receive the gift to the Holy Ghost for This Promise is for you it's for your children it's for as many as are a far off even as many as the Lord Our God shall call and as many as gladly received his words were baptized and that day 3,000 Souls were added to them so this is uh acts 2: 36-41 but then what happens next verse 42 is they continued those who responded the 3,000 that were baptized were added to them and continued steadfastly in what in the apostles Doctrine and fellowship and the breaking of bread and in prayers many English translation says the apostles teaching and fellowship and the breaking of bread and impr prayers so they came into a covenant people where they they could be uh put onto a common path with all the rest of the Disciples of knowing what to what they should believe and how then they should live in order to be on that narrow way that leadth unto life okay and so without without the foundation of Apostles and prophets there would have been nothing for them to steadfastly continue in there would have been no way for them to know they did not give them a Bible New Testament or old or both of course the New Testament didn't exist at that point but even if it had existed they they were not put on a so-called Foundation of solar scriptura you know the B only the Bible or the Bible only they were put on a foundation of Apostles and Prophets with Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone all right then we can see uh so so really it's like if you were birthed into the church on the day of Pentecost all of a sudden you had a spiritual father that was the apostles you had our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ but heavenly father in Jesus Christ interfac with the church through the prophet and the his fellow Apostles Prophet Cirus and revelators just like in the restoration the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all right and you can see this uh this is what I was looking for I was looking for a place where there was genuine Spiritual Authority expressed in genuine Apostolic and prophetic leadership that was actually from God that had genuine priesthood Authority and genuine Apostolic and prophetic Authority restored by the god of Heaven this is what I spent my whole life looking for if you can imagine such a thing searching for almost 50 years in vain but then last year finally looking under the right Rock the last place I ever would have looked the very last place that I had to look was the Church of Jesus Christ of latterday saints and I didn't I didn't even think I was overlooking it because I didn't think it was even part of the search but then Heavenly Father sovereignly opened my eyes and told me that's where I had to look and so I did and I found the the real Apostles and Prophets I found president Nelson okay and this is this is you could see the fatherly heart expressed here okay you can see the the fatherly heart expressed here when he says U um in Ephesians uh chapter let's see this is actually Philippians chap 4:8 this is I I wrote this wrong down here I put Ephesians but this is Philippians 4 verse 8 and N finally Brethren whatsoever things are true this is Paul writing whatsoever things are honest whatsoever things are just whatsoever things are pure whatsoever things are lovely whatsoever things are of a good report if there be any virtue and if there be any praise think on these things those things which he have both learned and received received and heard and seen in me do and the God of Peace shall be with you so you see this is this is what the apostles do is they they show us the way they uh outline in detail the Covenant path for us this is the way walk ye in it they they lead us Down The Highway of Holiness together or as it says in I think it's in uh Jeremiah that that our father's Covenant people that they'll have one heart and one way that they may fear our heavenly father always for their own good and for the good of their children after them isn't that wonderful it's just wonderful so that's what Paul's expressing when he says look those things which you've learned and re received and heard and seen in me do and the God of Peace shall be with you so this is the the job of uh president Nelson and his fellow Apostles Prophet Sears and revelators is to express to the people of God throughout the Earth and all the people that are lost uh exactly where the way is and how to walk in it you know all right he says the same thing in in 1 Corinthians 14:15 and 16 he says for though you have 10,000 instructors in Christ yet ye have not many fathers for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel wherefore I beseech you be ye followers of me okay so it it's fine to follow the prophet to follow the apostles prophets here in revelators like Paul is exhorting those back then be ye followers of me you might have 10,000 instructor but you have not many fathers in Christ Jesus I've begotten you through the gospel now he's not leading us after himself Paul wasn't trying to lead them after himself but he he in Another Place Another one of his Epistles he says follow me as I follow Christ in another place he says I beg you imitate me but it's like like he is with us in showing us how to follow Christ and giving us he's an ex Exemplar of how to follow Christ and he's leading Us in the way that we should go and this is how president Nelson is and all of his his two counselors and the Quorum of 12 okay and I'm so thankful after being a fatherless son basically I really my whole adult life from the time I gave my life to Christ I wanted to be a wholehearted disciple and I wanted to be like Timothy but I couldn't find a Paul it's like how do you be a Timothy without a Paul like Paul talks about Timothy my own dear son in the faith you know he formed Timothy and he taught him he he uh raised him up in discipleship and in Apostolic Ministry and I I just I wanted to be I wanted to be a Paul I wanted to be like Timothy and and find someone with genuine Spiritual Authority and just sered them and learned from them but I couldn't find anybody like that to serve and learn from so basically I was like a uh like a fatherless child a fatherless son my whole adult life all right okay in verse 17 he says uh for this cause he says wherefore I beseech you be followers of me for this cause I've said unto you timotheus who is my beloved Son and faithful in the Lord who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which being in Christ as I teach everywhere in every church so you see Paul had the authority Paul had the authority to teach them the way in which they should go to teach them the way to lead them on the Covenant path as it were to use the modern phrase that we use and then finally um I just want to say the whole reason I'm making this little video is just to give glorious thanks and appreciation first of all the for the the absolute necessity of our father's Covenant people being led by a prophet and together with his fellow Apostles prophets Sears and revelators it's it's absolutely necessary this is that this was established uh from the beginning in Acts chapter 15 brought throughout the church throughout the early church the same things that they decided were uniformly distributed throughout the entire church as it says in Acts 16:4 and uh from those other verses that I read Jesus made very clear that he was bringing forth a covenant people of God on the earth that was going to have to continue to interface with him and our heavenly father through the apostolic and prophetic leadership that he had established that that the true church would be on a foundation of Apostles and and Prophets with Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone and this was just how it was going to be and you can see that's how it was from these things that I've read from what Paul wrote all right the things that you've learned and received and heard and seen in me do and the God of Peace shall be with you but in any case he he says uh to the Corinthians that in Christ Jesus I've begotten you through the gospel wherefore I beseech you be followers of me he said I've begotten you I'm your father father you should you should follow my lead okay because I am following Christ's lead so if you follow me if you receive me you receive Jesus if you receive Jesus you receive Heavenly Father all right and uh this is really I mean I regard myself when I first started meeting with those sister missionaries and I sense that they had a Spiritual Authority and and then I I read one of them sister braithway gave me her Leah hona Magazine with President Nelson's uh article from the October conference in there and she had everything all underlined and and highlighted and and I I wow and so I went on YouTube I started listening to the conference talks and particularly president Nelson's conference talks especially uh the power of spiritual momentum and overcome uh the world and find rest and I listened to those two talks and many many others and not just president Nelson but also all of many of the other prophets and apostles Sears and revelators but I just loved president those two talks of President Nelson's and I listened to those and really it was in listening to president Nelson and those conference talks that I I I received Faith to continue to press in in investigating until I came to Full Faith about the Book of Mormon and about Joseph Smith because because on a foundation of having full faith in president Nelson and in the other wonderful uh general authorities that I was listening to these talks I'd never heard teaching and Revelation with that kind of authority and simplicity and humility and power and unity I've never heard anything like that in my entire life anywhere in in almost half a century of searching throughout the confusing Jungle of non-lad Day St Christianity I had never heard teaching like that in my entire life and it communicated Faith to my heart in a very deep way that I just knew that this was the kingdom of God on Earth because it was actually on a foundation of living Apostles and Prophets and so I knew intellectually that the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith as what had brought about the restoration of that Authority that it had to be true but I it gave me Faith to continue to press in to the Book of Mormon and uh and Joseph Smith until I actually received complete faith about Joseph Smith in the Book of Mormon but where I really that where my faith really first took deep root and and what really was largely responsible for me uh being begotten through the gospel was listening to president Nelson and his conference talks and so uh president Nelson through his talks and prophetic leadership begot me through the gospel and uh I'm eternally grateful it's like I'm never going to get tired of giving thanks that there's a true Covenant people of God on the earth with genuine honest true living Apostles and Prophets leading us and what a miracle that is and uh we should just we you know I I'm just going to rejoice in that uh as long as I draw breath and I'm so thankful uh to have the opportunity to rejoice in it with all of you and I just testify to these things in the name of uh our Heavenly father's beloved Son in the name of Jesus Christ amen amen and president Nelson happy birthday to you happy birthday to you happy birthday to you happy Birthday my dear father in the Lord who I was begotten by through the gospel happy birthday to you hoay for Israel hooray for president Russell M Nelson hooray for his other 14 absolutely wonderful Apostles prophets Sears and revelators that he leads us with and um we have so much to be thankful for and that's my testimony in the name of Jesus Christ amen let's see here stop sharing all right that was wonderful see you again soon I oh I went to the uh dentist today I went to the dentist today and and finished my dental work and I'll be flying back in a couple days and I'm going to be back in uh in Utah this weekend so I'm going to be able to like settle in and settle down and uh hopefully get back into a regular schedule of uh a very regular schedule of making videos and encouraging my friends and reaching out to seek and save the lost and oh yes and uh later this month at the end of the month I'm going to go up to Tom's farm and Idaho Falls and drive Spud truck hopefully we'll see I I think uh Tom seems confident I can do it so I'm going to just take on his faith and give it a shot so pray for me that for uh our Heavenly father's mercies on my travels from the southern side of the earth back up to Utah and also um that I can uh can settle in and a successfully Drive Spud truck yes and for the conference yes that's going to be very exciting next month October 5th and 6 is the conference see you again soon bye-bye
