Crazy Ending vs. San Jose State! | Colorado State EA College Football 25 Dynasty | Ep 7

why hello there beautiful people and welcome back to the Colorado State Rams Dynasty here on EA college football 25 and this time out we will be taking on the San Jose State Spartans after coming off of a tough loss against Oregon State so now we take on San Jose State who was 4-1 on the season and they just took their first loss of the season last time last week I should say against Nevada so they're looking to get back into the winning category this time out as we are but we're looking to get back to 500 here and San Jose st's definitely going to be a tough matchup here I know they're technically a lower overall team than us but they're 4- one on the season so I would have to say this probably wouldn't be an easy matchup at any rate let's get into the game as they are led by Adam Matthews who has 11 touchdowns and zero picks the Spartans get the football first and they're coming out swinging as Matthews finds his man for a 23 yd gain so news set of downs immediately for them and now here's a handoff Floyd chalk the fourth yes that is his name Floyd chalk he's going to get a 17 yard gain in the first down and just like that they're in our territory now a draw play the chalk he just absolutely stiff armed gatk off him and he picks up another first down he takes the snap now throws lefts side there's Nick natash just absolutely burning a sis on the play and San Jose State's going to go on the board for the touchdown 7 nothing Spartans as we'll get the ball for the first time here and I don't know our defense just isn't very good this year as you guys can see second and eight after a two- yard gain here's a play fake Bren fer niosi lets it Fly and he finds Tory Horton if you would have let him a little bit more that's a touchdown but as it stands we get the ball at the 31 now third and five fing nioi will drop back looks tries to scramble breaks the tackle and he's going to pick up the first down that's one of the better plays I've seen him make on the ground so far this season first and 10 from the 17 BFN lets it Fly and it's going to be caught touchdown Rams as Dylan goffney comes down with that one in the end zone and we kned up at seven but now we have to see if our defense can make a stop as we look at this one again BFN with a really good ball there and GNE able to make the grab on what pretty much was a jump ball and it's seven all now third and seven Matthews will scramble throws over the middle that's going to be caught for the first down and more as they get up to the 44 yd line and they're going to run some no huddle here first and 10 here's a hand off to the backup running back Jabari Bates remember this guy as he picks up about eight yards on the play definitely keep that name in mind here second and two hand off to baits again and he's going to get pushed forward for the first down did take a big hit but he got pushed forward so now second and eight Matthews will thr under that's going to be caught for about a 5 yd gain now it's going to be third and three they're going to hand it off to Bates who gets around the corner he gets the first down and Morris Jones gets blocked and Blackburn can't make the tackle and Bates is going to get into the end zone for the touchdown as we were just completely out of position there defensively as we've been pretty much all season so now it's 14 to S little handoff along a fake reverse and Morrow is going to cough up the football the Spartans pick it up and now they have a chance to make this a two-score game first and 10 Matthews will drop back really good coverage on the play and we're going to get the sack Kareem Beckham brings him down Beckham's one of the few players we're going to have after this season he's only a sophomore so we'll definitely get some more play out of him but an 11 yard loss now third and 16 Matthews lets it fly right side and they're going to convert it we've just given up too many of these big plays on third downs and that in the quarter as San Jose State leads 14 to7 it's third and goal from the eight now and they're going to run a draw play to Floyd chalk and he is going to get stopped at the line of scrimmage so they're going to have to try a field goal here and they're actually going to end up missing this Chip Shot I mean there are a lot of Chip Shot misses by the CPU in this game this is before they update BT dubs so you're going to see a lot of those misses throughout the next few games but anyways first and 10 and here's a Big Dot to GNE that he's just straight up drops just no excuse for that he wasn't even covered now third and six Horton comes up with this one however as he makes his third catch of the game now has 53 yards and it's a new set of downs so now BN throws right side this time and Horton over the middle makes the grab he's going to pick up the first down into Spartan's territory so it's good to see one of our receivers can make catches on a regular basis now BFN on First and 10 throws right side he's going to find Brown who fights his way forward for the first down so now third and three we're looking to tie this game up here as bfn's under pressure and he's hit as he throws that just came out limp and we're going to go for it on Fourth and three cuz I don't really feel comfortable kicking the field goal but Morrow doesn't make the catch and stride he's going to be stopped short of the marker and we will turn the ball over on downs we just haven't done a very good job on fourth down so far this season as Matthew steps up looks to scramble and he slides down just short of the marker it'll be third and three from the 30 now and here's a handoff chalk is going to pick up the first down I think they gave him a very generous spot though but now first and 10 and this time he's going to get coralled losing a yard on the play that's gatk making the play that's going to be second 11 now here's a handoff once again to chalk he only gets a couple of yards that's going to lead to a third and nine here's Matthews he has time rolls to his right throws over the middle that's going to be caught but chalk is going to be stopped just short of the marker so we'll get the football back with about three minutes to go third and 10 here's the throw left side and Horton's going to pick up the first down catching it before the marker got to love his speed for those type of situations now second and 10 here's a throw left side and Horton has to slide backwards to make the grab but he's now over a 100 yards and we haven't reached halftime yet we're at the two-minute warning though second and 10 here's a little bubble screen goffney makes the grab gets the first down down and he gets out of Bounds at the 25 so we're doing a pretty good job of moving the football here first and 10 here's the throw underneath the morrow he's going to pick up about six on the play plenty of time to get into the end zone here and I do want to make sure that Sant Jose State doesn't get the ball back here as Horton makes the grab over the middle for the first down so now new set of downs we're not running the clock like we should here's a throw of the middle to Horton for the touchdown though hell of a throw there by BFN and Horton makes a great grab in the back of the end zone so now it's 14 all but now San Jose State has a minute 18 to get down the field they going to throw a screen to chalk he gets a nice block and he steps out just a yard short of the marker but it's second and one now third and one and here is Matthews throwing right side and it's going to be picked off Dom Jones comes up with it and he's going to run it up all the way to the 34 yd line of San Jose States and now we have a chance to take the lead before the half as long as we play it smart here but it's just good to finally get a turnover against these guys because it really felt like they were picking us apart on the ground and through the air so now little bubble screen to GNE gets a nice block there he's going to pick up the first down up to the 20 so now under a minute to go here first and 10 BFN on the play fake he's looking down the field tries to force the right side then it's going to be intercepted that was just not a smart throw at all and and we paid the price for it and now San Jose State has another opportunity to get into the end zone They Don't however they end up just running out the clock and it's 14 all at the half and offensively we've made some plays but we've also had a few penalties as well and we got to find a way to get the ground game going as well so now third and eight as we have the football here thrown underneath there's Oly and he's not going to get the first down and we're going to go for it on fourth one because I'm stupid SL crazy and Horton doesn't hold on to it man that is annoying as hell but now they have the ball their own 30 here's a little dump off they're going to lose three yards because chalk didn't have that much space I don't know why they ran that swing to the boundary but hey I've done it before too and then he's going to be brought down for a three- yard loss so now third and 16 from the 36 and guess what we end up doing we're going to end up giving up the first down I mean you really just can't make it up at the end of the day we just do things like that and this is why this game pisses me off first and 10 Matthews is going to run for the first down up to the six yd line and now second and goal he's going to keep it himself call his own number and he's going to try to dive into the end zone but he's pushed out at the one instead so hell of a job by our defense there now third and goal and I don't know what the hell Dom Jones is doing right there but he's not covering his receiver it's going to be caught for the touchdown although it would be reviewed but it would show that he got a foot end so it's 2114 Spartans so now we have to try to get down the field here Peter Montini welcome to the show I believe that's his first catch of the game and as a matter of fact it is for a first down so now second and 10 BFN under pressure just couldn't get rid of it in time the play action really just didn't work for us as Sterns gets the sack there now third and 20 BFN lets it Fly looking for Oly but it gets knocked down so now we have to punt it away they have the ball back with about 5 minutes to go in the quarter nice little screen pass works out for him and they get another first down as we're just having all types of trouble stopping them Justin lockart with his fourth catch of the game here's at the right side to the tight end he gets smacked but he picked up about six on the play as Matthews only has two incompletion as he does have his first interception of the Season though which he threw in the second half but he's going to complete another one for a first down now third and seven and he's under pressure once again he's brought down once again Kareem Beckham with the second sack of the game and we get the ball back with about a minute to go here in the third quarter and there's Al getting the first down so finally get him the football and our first and 10 BFN looks down the field lets it Fly and Horton makes the grab that would have been good in the pros as he got both feet in bounds now one more play before the end of the quarter BFN looks throws left side for Montini and he comes down with it and he's tackled at the N9 yd line so we'll go into the fourth quarter with a chance to TI the game up but as it stands it's 21 to4 San Jose State so now third and goal and BFN going to fake it throws and I don't know what I was thinking there to be honest with you I should have just ran it and took the field goal but said I tried to force it into coverage and Jordan gets the pick so now they're running a fake reverse and that's getting shut down in the back field as chalk loses five gatku there again now he gets another handoff breaks the tackle coughs up the football and we're going to pick it up Kareem Beckham forc that one and then Jack Howell was able to pick it up so now on Third and eight here's BFN looking down the field throws offside for Horton and he makes the grab for the touchdown and we are going to tie this one up at 21 a piece what a turn turnaround there for us but now we got to get a stop defensively here's a hand off to Floyd Floyd breaks the tackle and he CS it up after Larry hits him but fortunately for them it rolls out of bounds so now second and six here's another handoff and once again chalk gets the first down and he's going to get up to about the 47 yd line as they go no huddle once again first and 10 here's Matthews letting it fly to a wide open man that's another first down that's m Kai Miller coming down with that one now first and 10 throws left side and it's that would have been a touchdown if he would have just put it on the spot but luckily we get bailed out third and 10 and here's another completion and another first down as we just continue to miss tackles you just got to love it first and 10 Matthews Under Pressure he's going to try to scramble but Gardner just smacks him in the back field on the blitz that's going to lead to a third and nine Matthews throws over the middle that's going to be incomplete he had his man right there but couldn't find him and now they're going to try another field goal this one from about 31 yards out and they're going to miss this one as it DS off the upright so now halfway through the fourth we have a chance to take the lead first and 10 B on the play fake he's looking down the field throws right side it's going to be caught by GNE as he gets up to the 37 yd line now third and six 434 to go here's the throw of the middle Horton holds on to this one and he gets the first he's up to a buck 80 on 11 catches so far so now second and five BFN throws right side and gofy can't make the grab good play there by the defender DJ Harvey now third and five BFN throws underneath finds Morrow and he can't hold on to it so now we're going to have to punt it away they have just over three minutes to get down the field and here's a throw left side completed for about six so now second and four and Matt Z underneath he finds chalk and chalk gets pushed out of bounds as it's going to be third and two now and now here's a hand off to chalk Chalk's going to get the first down and he takes a big hit but holds on to the football this time we're going to hit the two-minute warning now as San Jose State looks to put this one away take the lead late they're going to let it fly left side and it's going to be incomplete good defense there by Aisa as Nash couldn't come down with it now second and 10 here's Matthew scrambling scrambling a little bit too much and he's going to be brought down for the sack that's going to lead to a third and 15 that was Gat and Beckham there and now asisa is going to break up the pass on Third and 15 and now we get the football back as they're going to absolutely screw this punt up and we're going to just call a fair catch here no Olson's actually going to take it which I didn't want him to do but oh well we have the ball to 47 should be able to take care of business here here's at the right side and that's gonna be picked off oh my God the third pick of the game by BFN just not a good throw once again and now San Jose State has a chance to take a late lead here and seal the game up but then Floyd chocks going to get hurt on the play so now Jabari Bates comes in as the running back here's a throw of the middle just overthrows his man oh my goodness that would have been a big play now third and seven Matthews throws right side underneath that's going to be caught but not going to be a first down so we do get the ball back despite turning it over and we have a little bit of time to get down the field Horton's going to make the grab gets out of bounds after an eight- yard gain 40 seconds to go now BFN scrambles he's going to get tackled but he does get the first down and he doesn't get sacked so now I have to hurry up about 30 seconds to go here got to make up for the clock management that we had last week bfn's going to scramble and he's pushed out after a gain of seven so now we're at the 44 second and three BFN throws underneath finds menatti and Dawson menatti is going to get out of Bounds at the 34 we do have a timeout here so now we can work to get a little bit closer BFN steps up throws underneath and going to be dropped by GNE that would have got us him the perfect field goal range now second and 10 little Jet Sweep to GNE he gets a block for Morrow and he picks up about nine so we call a timeout with 5 Seconds to go just to make sure they don't get a chance and now we're going to try a field goal Jordan noise trying for the game winner from 42 yards out and he misses it wide right and San Jose S has two seconds left so I'm thinking they're going to go with a Hail Mary here so we're just going to send everybody back first and 10 hand off the baits he has a whole baits with a nice run he's going to get inside the 40 oh my God no way let me tell you guys when I had this play like when I experienced this play I was in VC with some people and I was just at a loss for words and I'm sure you at a loss for words just watching it yourselves this was by far one of the craziest things that has ever happened to me in a football game San Jose State's going to win 27 to 21 off a walk-off touchdown run by Jabari Bates their backup running back and my guys just were not taking any type of angles or anything like that like I just I don't know what to say man I wasn't going to not post this video like I wanted you guys just see what happened to me and honestly there were things I could have done there to prevent it but it's like there's no shot that a cover four where everybody's dropping back people wouldn't be able to make that stop I mean that's just craziness to me you know I don't really know what to say outside of that but you know I don't mind losing but losing a game like that in that way I mean there's just not much you can really say you know obviously we could have taken care of business outside of that we could have made that field goal we could have not thrown three picks especially like those we thrw on San Jose State side when we had a chance to win but having the game in like that when I'm like prepping for OT I mean not much to say man but again I take accountability there are things I could have done even on that play to make sure that didn't happen but I was worried about them throwing it deep and instead that happens so it is is what it is the only thing we can do is just move forward and try to recover and get ready for the next one that's really all we can do at the end of day but man I'm glad y'all got to see that in a way it's embarrassing but it is what it is so now I'll take a look at some of the guys that we are still recruiting there are two guys right here Clyde rooper and Quincy Washington both committed to Boise State and Wyoming respectively we still have plenty of three and four star talent that still potentially wants to come to the CSU so I'm not entirely worried about that looking at the top 25 Penn State lost USC so they dropped down from 3 to n Notre Dame lost to Stanford so they get their first loss of the season they dropped from 5 to 13 in the media poll FSU is now up to number 15 Oregon lost of Ohio State and a number one versus number seven matchup and yeah I'm still blown away that we lost that game even having it happen like a week before I recorded this commentary I don't know it's just one of those plays that it's going to take me a while to get over but got to move on we got Air Force up next and the battle for the rain Falcon trophy uh we'll see if we're able to beat Air Force and get back in the one column in the next one but if you guys want to see more just
