well it looks like things might have changed a little bit for the eagle secondary For Better or For Worse but probably on the better side so we're going to be talking about James Bradberry and all the news that's going on with him on the IR right now uh we have a lot to discuss regarding the roster AJ Brown's comments on going to Brazil um Sydney Brown news and the Eagles have claimed waivers on a big time defensive tackle that has a lot of ceiling and and they got rid of a player that's been here for a while on the defensive line to make room for him a lot to discuss let's get straight into [Music] it a killer buried but not dead Darren we better turn around because I've seen enough horror movies to know any wordo wearing a mask is never friendly yo yo yo yo what is going on guys I hope everyone's having a fantastic day I hope everyone is join themselves so there's a lot to discuss regarding the Eagles roster but really the first thing of news that we really have to discuss right now is James Bradberry now I saw another report the other day on James Bradberry being uh thrown to the IR from the Philadelphia Eagles but I thought this was like a fake injury or it was just like you know just stashing him because they want to try to trade him or get rid of him but no this is actually true uh I don't wish injury upon nobody I I would never do that I mean Bradberry deserves is deserving of things but you don't want to wish any injury upon a player but when I read this I was like holy six to eight weeks um lower leg injury on the IR so now we're going to miss him for a while so now this gives other players opportunity probably how he wanted it you know I don't want the guy hurt but I wanted him at least traded so now you're so where what are you looking for with this James Bradbery situation now down the line I think by the trade deadline you're trying to give him up for nothing really unless they I mean look we're we were going to the regular season days away and it seems like James Bradberry was has been a lock on this roster we figured maybe a trade would facilitate next week maybe there would have maybe a trade would have facilitated I don't know if there was the Eagles tried to trade him okay before they locked him into the final 53 they tried to trade him there were teams out there that did not see that people you know teams thought that he lost an edge at being a cornerback he lost his step at being a corner and a lot of teams out there don't see him as a safety but fangio he says great IQ great transition we hear all this positive and yet you know what we see from Eagle fans from our own two eyes from what he's done in preseason games to Joint practices open field tackling can't cover tight ends the athletic ability is just not there and you know what I mean so I don't know what these coaches are seeing or maybe maybe they you know maybe they were building up his value and just saying great things when he wasn't doing good at all but at this point guys it is time to make changes so without Bradberry yeah safety looks worse in the back end no doubt chony Garner Johnson re blanket ship obviously you could bring up Andre Sam if you want you could bring up guys from practice squad if you want but Cooper Dee needs to play there is we haven't se we don't know what's going on we haven't seen him in that safety spot yet it's only a matter of time he's not playing inside he's not playing outside quinon Mitchell Isaiah Rogers have locked down those spots and you're not just red shiring this guy all year whe whether you add another be to the odd man front or whatever you want to do there but you know you might be taking out Reed as the number three and putting Cooper dein right there and have him move and disguise coverages and move all over the field and have it be that rangy player that he is it's only a matter of time I'm wondering what they're going to do because depth looks really bad is kuber dein going to start right in you know Reed blanket ship as the number three so we'll see how this whole thing goes but it sucks that Bradberry had to get injured for this to happen I did the last thing I wanted was for him to get hurt the one thing I wanted them to do was while he was healthy to get a deal done they couldn't get it done and it sounded like Howe wasn't done with the final 53 that things weren't settle so now with Bradberry down you know there's some interesting things now Cooper Dee getting a big shot right now now um on top of everything else uh let's see cydney brown is another player that looks like he is very close to coming back and I've watched a few videos on him from yesterday's practice and holy he looks he looks really good looks fast looks like he's he's get trying to get his speed back up obviously a lot of rehab doing some Sprints um he's looking really good right now it's unfortunate it was a late injury last year but it looks like he will be on the pup list going to the regular season which means he will miss an automatic four games can come back the fifth week we'll see what the Eagles do on week five this really he comes back during the by week technically maybe less I think the bye right but so the by the bye he'll be back they can rest him that whole week and then see where he's at I'm not saying he's going to be on the field because really when you tear your ACL or an Achilles injury at the end of the season last year you can't just come back and and you know W within for five games it just doesn't happen that way um so he really needs to get in football shape because he's rehabbing so much and obiously he hasn't hit anybody yet there's a long process to just oh he'll be back in four or five he'll be back in five weeks and he's good to go no it doesn't happen that way um you know these guys have bodies that have been through you know you've been through a big injury and you want to slowly come back and you don't want to rush the process no doubt but Sydney Brown's another safety SL corner I like him more at safety I think he's played better at that position to get him back obviously is going to be a big deal so after the four weeks what do they do do they just put him on IR for another eight weeks seven eight weeks or do they officially put him on the final 53 as a a major dep piece so we'll see what happens you know down the line it's not going to happen right now we still got four to five weeks to go when it comes to Sydney Brown um at the start of the season so he'll be back by the by week and we'll see where we're at at that point um you know so say like I said safety whether they put Cooper Dee at the starting spot you know de depth is you know it it's not there's not much there right now there's really not much there Tristan Macau might get a shot you know he's been productive in the off season throwing him into the fire wouldn't be the most horrible idea and yes as a as a debt piece being ready if he needs to come in for a couple plays or something like that uh but you never know what you're going to get from guys cuz Reed blanket ship was a guy that just came out of nowhere and you know because of the chony injury they threw him in and look what he did you know what I mean and I think for where you know where he's at now I think Reed's a solid player I think there's some things with his P you know his pass coverage a little bit you know but I think he's a solid player nice role player for your defense with good pieces around him so that's the whole safety position right now I'm hoping Cooper dein just takes the spot on on really on game day I I really do uh so that's where I'm at with the whole situation as of right now was really surprised over that Bradberry dues now it looks like uh the Eagles made a couple moves here since the Bradberry uh Bradberry thing going on right now so it looks like eagles have placed Orin Burks or Orin Burks has been elevated to the final 53 which is great for this week's game so Orin Burks you have more depth at linebacker now so now you have what six linebackers going into this game so you know why not the more linebackers the better it's going to be I thought Ain Burks has missed the whole entire offseason program with that knee injury and then that last game he really turned it up so um he's a veteran player you know we talked about him a million times it was a big loss for him not to be in the offseason program but really really made his case in that last game and now you have six linebackers going into uh this game in Brazil which is great you always want to have more than enough and you have that there and the Eagles actually signed Brett to as well so they get Brett toss back so now you have more depth uh going forward you sign you know really behind cam Jurgens you didn't have a backup center so you brought in uh you brought in uh now you bring in Brett Toth Nick Gates was you know was signed uh Nick Gates was signed to the practice squad he'll be elevated every single week from what the news is it's going to be more Nick Gates Brett Toth will stay on the practice squad so you have a couple guys that can play backup center and they can play the guard spot as well so uh that's good news on that good news for or uh uh for Orin Burks as well now um now the Eagles have claimed waivers okay the Eagles haven't done much of this and they they released by the way they released Marlon t palu Okay a guy that's been in this system a guy that's been here that the Eagles like and I actually like as a really good run stuffer Marlon talupu is released gone the Eagles have claimed waivers on Byron Young from the Raiders okay Byron young former third round pick in 23 70th overall okay only played like four to six games or something like that his rookie year didn't get any quarterback hits nothing like that no sacks he was just released a couple days AO go he they just waved him a couple days ago the Raiders have given up on Byron young after one year you don't give up on a third round pick after one year so he's been the in the odd man front type system okay really good technique can throw people very physical and he's from Alabama as well so you know how Eagle the Eagles uh coaching staff in the front office feel about Alabama players okay and he's on the final he's on the 53 going into the first game which is great Marlon t palu i I was shocked over that they picked this guy up if they releasing Marlin T palut and I haven't seen enough of this guy actually play because obviously he was just drafted a year ago but at this point if if Marlin if the Eagles are willing to release Marlin zutu and they just pick up Byron young like that they must really really like him really like him he's showing a lot of flash with his with his pressure physical technique I I saw tape of him throwing guys out of his way getting pressures on quarterbacks couldn't get any sacks unfortunately um but his tape looks really promising physical player explosive player flashed and the Eagles are just came in and just they picked them up immediately was just wav the other day and boom or this morning I forgot when it was you're watching this video the next day so technically it was yesterday ear ear or the day before that because I saw that he was waved um so now you add another you know now you add uh you replace a defensive tackle which is good and this could be a guy down the road like give give the Eagles flash players and see what they could do with them because like I said like when you give up a player like when you release a player like Marlon T and I lik Marlon T you know what I mean made the roster and everything they give him up for this guy that hasn't played a down for the Eagles yet off waivers it should show volumes right here what they think of this player so I can't wait to see more from Byron young what he's all about and we'll see what happens down the line he's been in an odd man front system he's done it before uh whether it's whether it's NOS whether it's three technique doesn't matter what it is he's been there which is fantastic so that's the news on Byron young now lastly AJ Brown had some things to say well he talked about Jan doson you know and it's weird because he actually AJ Brown says he doesn't train with anybody the only person he trained with this past off season ironically was Jan Dodson um and worked really hard I I love that the relationships and the bonds have already are have already been set even before he was traded here and then he gets traded here and look what happens you know so I thought that was cool but the main reason I'm talking about AJ Brown is this Brazil game is one of the dumbest stupidest ideas I ever seen in my life okay because it's all about this the NFL and internationally going you know branching out okay I don't mind playing in Germany I don't mind playing in the UK the UK is probably the best place to play when it comes to International games okay this Brazil thing is the weirdest I have ever been just as a fan just AJ Brown had some things to say about it okay number one the rumors of not wearing green or whatever the hell that was I don't know if that was even true apparently there's like wildfires going on in Brazil right now with in over 30 cities like there's a lot of going on in Brazil right now that you're telling these players to go towards this year in a game okay so AJ Brown says players were warned that they cannot walk down the street with their phones on their trip to Brazil and then AJ was like after hearing all that stuff I'm probably just going to be in my room after being told about all the dangers in Brazil like why are these players being put through this on top of the Eagles having this counting as a home opener which is as stupid as it already is and I don't mind playing internationally I have no issue with it it's a Friday night game it's just there's so much crap going on in Brazil right now I mean it may not be a big deal but but seriously like these players have to follow all these rules and all these regulations because every country is just different every part of the world unfortunately is different like the UK Germany there's really no issues there like AK I mean AJ has to feel like he has to be locked in his own room because he wants to make sure that these guys don't get in trouble or they don't follow something or they don't even want to concentrate on when they're in Brazil what you know they have to watch out doing this or doing that or being outside and doing this like they have to watch out for all these rules so I think this game is already ridiculous I can't wait till it's over I hope the Eagles don't get screwed in this game just because of just how they've operated going into this first International game of the season which I already don't like as it is I hate it I can't stand it I hate this Brazil game I can't wait till it's over that's how I feel about it right now and if if players are complaining about this situation and they're just like you know what I have no time to think about what I have to do in Brazil to follow the rules like I I'm just going to sit in my room and wait till the and wait till I have to go to the stadium I mean that's how players are feeling that's how AJ Brown's feeling it's ridiculous there's there's wildfires going on in Brazil in 30 cities right now I mean it's crazy it's nuts but yet you know the NFL is like too bad we want to you know cat get get our check you know we want to Branch out and I don't know I I don't mind the international thing but I they think it's very ridiculous and that's where we're just at right now and yeah so other than that guys
