Denver Broncos Get Good News Before Seattle Seahawks Wk 1

despite being five and a half Point underdogs on the road against the Seattle Seahawks in week one the Denver Broncos just got some very good news when it comes to our injury report and the Seattle Seahawks injury report we're going to break all that down why I think that even though the odds makers have us as pretty big underdogs actually the third biggest Underdog the entire week one spread uh I think the Denver Broncos this is actually a very winnable game and I think the bonck era starts off with a win we're going to break all that down uh and so much more but taking a look at the lines the only games where there are bigger underdogs going into it are the Cardinals against the bills bills are expected to win by at least six but man I I think um the bills are way better than the Cardinal so I that's definitely going to happen and the other one is the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to beat the Patriots by at least nine points but other than that every other line is within you know one two three points and so I think this is like very disrespectful and just shows how much the league really is sleeping on us that a a team that I don't see tremendous talent in with a brand new head coach a brand new offensive coordinator brand new defensive scheme which we're going to break down and a ton of injuries is expected to beat a team that won eight games last year by five and a half points it's not going to happen uh I'm feeling very very good about that so the injury report that we're hearing is just the the first overall thought is that if you look at the Denver Broncos injury report you do not have any guys that were wondering like hey are they going to be ready to go on Sunday and that's fantastic that we went from being one of the most injured teams in football literally we were the most injured team in football till last year we're the most healthy team in football knock on uh solid wood here and then looking at the Seattle Seahawks injury report you're just seeing tons of starters listed as questionable tons of starters who were projected to go on the four-week IR who Mike McDonald has said well we're going to we're going to keep him off of that they'll probably miss week one and two but we'll have him back by week three um when it comes to it if you're at this point with the Seattle Seahawks or the Denver Broncos if you have a guy who is on the bubble of hey we want to to play or are we going to risk it this is not a must-win game this is probably the least important game for both teams I think it's really important the Broncos start off strong after a slow start last year but at the end of the day uh this is a non-divisional opponent and it does not play into the tiebreaker situations and so you know you if you are questionable and you're playing a divisional arrival play them but when it comes to this it's like a road game against a a non-division opponent I I just think they will air on the side of caution and and you've heard that multiple times so the first thing the key for the Denver Broncos to beat the Seattle Seahawks week one is uh make Gino Smith throw like we know he's bounced around the league and I'm not scared of Gino Smith whatsoever especially with how Pat San has locked down uh DJ metf in in his matchups uh and so they need to run they and they're really hedging a lot of bets behind running behind Conor Williams who was an absolute stud when he played for the Dolphins and uh if you look at his PFF grade which I got up right here you know he is way higher graded on PFF than any starter on our team and even higher than cushenberry last year so he suffered an ACL injury and so he is questionable week one and it seems as if he will not start so they're going to be playing a backup center uh and so I really just expect Zack Allen to Feast on that be up backup center and just knowing that our big push this off season obviously getting quarterback who runs Shawn Payton system but also all of the assets and resources and dudes we brought in on that defensive front to stop the run that defensive front held up in the preseason even against Jonathan Taylor and so I expect them to shut down Kenneth Walker Jr uh who was a standout at Michigan State and had a great rookie year and then kind of plateaued and did not make that jump to second year that everyone was expecting out of him and now behind a backup center feeling very very good about that the other thing I'm feeling really really good about is um their best defensive Edge rusher is nasu and they had really high hopes for him coming in and playing under a new defensive coordin or defensive coach and just you know Mike McDonald's systems are wild and we're going to take a look at those here in a second but he really was set to feast and he is very very likely not playing in this game and so then you're talking um their next best Edge rusher is draymont Jones who isn't a chump we had him here in Denver for a long time but he still is not not had as many sacks as he had with his Broncos with the Broncos his best year I think uh he had seven sacks one year with the Broncos and he hasn't eclipsed more than five since then and so very good news that really you're talking your starting center and your best Edge rusher both questionable for game one really really good news for the Denver Broncos um and and how that matchup all is going to play out other good news is uh that the Seattle Seahawks have a brand new head coach and they were built in the Pete Carroll era and that that team had Pete Carol stamps all over it and now they are have a new coach coming in who was the defensive coordinator for the Ravens and obviously the Ravens were the best defense in football last year for a lot of it you could make arguments that uh the Browns were good and all that but he got so much out of that Raven system and he he has been described as the Shawn McVey of Defense which is very very high praise and I I do think in a few years like when he has his stamp on this defense he has players who can run his system that's going to be very good but I think with the limited preseason snaps that we see with injuries I think the best time to face Seattle is week one and so that's a really good thing for the Denver Broncos uh that we we aren't playing him later in the year we're playing him right off the Jump and and you just hope that that Seattle front and that Seattle new system is going to take several weeks to develop uh before it's really humming so I think of all times that I wanted to play the Seahawks it's when they they're injured and when they are uh just just starting with this new system I mean playing them end of the year watch out but playing them now I I feel really good about that so the real staple and what makes the um McDonald system so difficult to defend or difficult to score against is that it has some elements of like a fangio system which instead of having two high safeties and being able to attack over top you are shifting to three safeties in the back and they want everything in front of them which to me lines up perfectly with Bon knck and the other thing is that they um are lining up in a very similar set every single time and then anybody can Blitz at any time and it's very Zone heavy and again to me that's when Bon knck just thrives the thing that's going to be difficult for Bon Knick is that um you are always guessing like because they're always in that same front you don't know like is the blitz coming from uh the linebacker on the left or is it going to be the safety on the right is the defensive lineman who looks like he's blitzing actually dropping in coverage and so what they say is that it's all about in-game um in-game adjustments and so we know that bonick is a absolute football junkie and studies all week long is he going to be able to make those in-game adjustments that allows him to say oh look when they're doing this this week um I know the the blitz is coming from this side or I know the pressure is coming from here and I can figure out the zone so I uh again I think McDonald is is sha McVey of Defense I just hope it's going to take a little time for that to hit and I hope that bonix can make the adjustments in game truly that is a huge wild card for us because we haven't seen it yet we know bonick is uh a son of a coach son of a a quarterback himself very very smart but does he have the ability to make in-game adjustments I think the the good news for the Denver Broncos is that Shawn pton saw enough after nine snaps for Bon Knicks in that last preseason game so I also think as Seattle's preparing for us they don't know what they're preparing for in B Knicks like that first game against the Colts we saw a lot of read option for bonick but then we didn't see any of that with the Green Bay Packers and then he didn't play against the Cardinals so the hope is while we haven't seen everything out of Mike McDonald and what he's going to run at the same time they don't know what they're preparing for in B Knicks either uh other good news I think for the Denver Broncos is uh just taking a look that not only are they implementing a brand new defensive scheme um they have really rough tight end play their best tight end is Noah Fant which you remember clearly from the Denver Broncos uh being here they also have a brand new um brand new offensive coordinator who used to be with the Washington Huskies and so he got to stay in state and go there um but just kind of looking here that it's going to take them a while to really Implement their system of offense and their system of defense and so you just hope that it's a big learning curve for him going from the Washington Huskies to being in in the NFL and just seeing the scheme and and the speed that really these athletes have so I think the Denver Broncos are in great shape for a week uh one Victory on the road whether it is a artificial noise pumped into Seattle or it's real crowd noise that Denver Broncos are going to make it deadly silent in there because we're going to come out with a win this will be the last time I wear green all week
