Florida Beats Samford | Stats | My Thoughts

[Music] hello everyone this is alipac here and welcome to a new channel this will be alipac Sports all things Gators all things pretty much Gator and call footb reles it's going to come through here and uh mostly Gator stuff um my inaugural video very first video I'm putting out on this channel it's going to be around to today's game which was Gars beat Sanford 45 to 7 we beat them 45 to7 now it we supposed to beat them I'm glad we beaten them but uh overall I'm happy we beat them like there's no reason why we shouldn't not beat them and uh I'm glad we did alrighty the stats for the game was total rushing yards montro Johnson uh Trevor not Trevor he's no longer there trayon web and so on and so forth uh even B I think he was his name b uh rushing yards we had 166 rushing yards which reasonable uh three rushing touchdowns and 169 yards to gain the average per Rush with 4.9 every attempt uh passing yards we have 466 yards uh 19 of 28 and average was 16.6 per attempt average per completion was 24.5 three touchdowns total we had six touchdowns and I think we had like one field goal uh total offense 632 yards which is very impressive uh Florida's offense has never been like that before or well it has but hasn't been seen that long or been it hasn't been seen for a long time and uh so it's very exciting we outbeat them by every margin so for youf for Florida's passing DJ lagway is up ahead uh he's 18 25 456 yards three touchdowns very PR showing this kid is something else uh I believe he has a very bright future in UF and uh that I do think he is possibly the guy to bring us back to Glory when if he be used used appropriately cuz at the moment we have a coach who may not use him appropriately I we don't know yet um Merz is out gr Merz if you haven't watched the last game Miami he got uh cust he's out for the uh well he was out for this game we don't know about next game yet they're going to post the news on that sometime in the future uh but he's out right now uh but there's rumors going around if not hints that he may play next game uh it's still debatable up in air but knowing our coach Billy ner he may play him and uh we'll see what happens with then right now so far as looking at it's probably going to be a quarterback controversy because what what we saw today although it was Sanford it still was a great showing from DJ and it shows that he is possibly the future of course we have to go against SEC opponent next and that's when he probably will show us if he truly is the guy but uh right now currently the everybody's expecting Graham to uh Graham merch to uh play next game against Texas at the swamp but uh yeah he 1825 456 yards that was a very impressive showing and uh I'm very proud of DJ uh he came in got his first start ever and uh he's looking to actually be the future now rushing yards we do have uh in the lead was 15 attempts 70 yards gained Montreal Johnson Montell Johnson he played out he did good when he was brought in then we have B ba Jaden four attempts 34 yards he did really good as well uh two well montre is a senior now so he doesn't have much long left in the program this is pretty much the last season uh but Jayden looks like a promising promising backup if not the future of the program uh if he stays reason why I say if he stays is we don't know if Billy's going to be here or not I'm leaning towards he probably won't be but if in term if he gets fired um they could leave through transfer portal when it opens so if he stays he could be promising new running back receiving which was really a highlight of the of the game was six receiving for Wilson Eugene 144 41 yards one tou touchdown Eugene H he wasn't used much in the first half of the game but when it came to the second half he got more chances and uh he did pretty good with all those chances I give it to him he did pretty good Elijah Badger uh three receiving 123 yards uh zero touchdowns pretty pretty good as well uh then we got Hayden Hansen two receiving 44 yards uh d c one one receiving 44 yards Bazil Aiden one receiving 41 yards one touchdown then we got Hawkins tank one receiving 36 yards one touchdown that's pretty much like spreading out to all your receivers not all of them but some of them it's not like showing one receiver is get to love more than the other it shows we have weapons like weapons that can go deep weapons who can catch balls and uh very proud of that I'm excited for that it shows that we have promise throwing it down the field especially with like way he showed it that he can throw deep if he had a chance he can throw deep especially middle routes as well he can do that which is all I love I if you come and join this Channel and uh uh become part of the family uh you will learn that I love spread offense and air offense it's uh one of my some of my favorite offense I don't like running that much but when if running works it will work but when it comes to spread and air raid like passing portion that's my favorite I love passing passing nothing gets better that when you run again so uh yeah that's receiving defensively all right defensively Marshall Junior Jason Marshall five solo tackles nice uh he did give us a penalty during that game he suplexed one of the suplexed one of the other players from sford uh it costes a penalty which allowed them to I think score and that was the only score they got of the game but it wasn't too problematic for me cuz hey we want that fire we want them to truly be wanting to win this game and be hyped up and for them to be like that it doesn't bother me much it shows that they have fire they do have that mentality that they were lacking against Miami but yeah uh he did good uh Tire sap tackles for loss 2.5 he did get sack um RJ Mel did get a tackle for loss LJ McCrae got. five he did try to get a tackle for loss uh gums Junior George 3.0 for three tackle for loss one sack uh Weston J Marcus one tackle for loss one sack I think that's that's us kale Banks one tackle for loss one sack uh Taylor Jr brain one tack for loss and uh other than that defense didn't do much like I think what we were more excited for was the offense defense did get a lot of fumbles Sanford got some fumbles on us but uh uh I think we got some turnovers as well uh other than that pretty solid but it's not they they did their best for what they could do I don't don't think the defense is that good on our front they're better like they're legit a lot more better than uh last time we faced them last time we faced them we didn't have a defense at all and it was pretty much a shootout last time we faced them uh back in 2021 and uh yeah it was like 70 to 52 that score was uh special teams uh jery crosell two punts uh Kary Dyke got three returns for 37 yards pretty much that's it for the those uh field goals there was only one it was 25 yards uh fourth quarter result was good uh and yeah that was pretty much it that's was stats so we did beat uh sford uh DJ did ball out but it was sford I ain't going be like hey I'm happy we finally won a game and no that's not me that is not me at all um we did beat sford I'm excited that we did because if we lost to them that would be Billy gone straight up and I'm glad that DJ lagway bowled out because it shows the future of the the uh program in him uh but uh yeah it was a good game I right now I'm in the mindset of moving on to the next game which is Texas if you could prove it to me against Texas at our own home last time we had a we had competition home was Miami I get that uh Texas AM ain't ranked like Miami was but texam can still be formidable when they need to be and our our players should be on high alert prepared and all that for the game cuz we cannot go what we did with Miami that is a nogo if that happens you might as well kiss Billy seat and Billy gone because he won't make it after that game uh is a must-win game for Billy and uh I think I'll talk more about that uh when it gets close the game day I think Friday Thursday or Friday I'll have my prediction out and uh I do believe we could win that game if Lag Way plays I know merch they're going to start merch like I told was talking to high tot Sports uh yes they can start Merz but my fear is that if they start Merz and it get and he does suck and he does play like he did at Miami and it gets into like the second quarter to third quarter and uh he we are behind by like 20 something points 14 points whatever points we behind and he can't get it done to uh get his back up there just take him out my fear is that they won't because Billy stubborn he's he's really stubborn I I can admit that cuz we've been all been hoping for him to get a offensive coordinator and he hasn't yet he he was going to allow Callaway I don't know if this was true or not but if it was that Callaway was supposed to uh call plays for the Min game but Billy decided to not let him the day before or the Daye of the game that was true and I've been hearing about it that was true dude this man is so stubborn like just give up the play calling we all know you don't have it you show bits and pieces of where you can actually win games South Carolina being The prominent one but trust me you going to lose more games than your win and I don't I don't need that man so um I hope and believe that they can beat Texas and uh we will see well this has been a uh episode of alipac sports uh this is my first inaugural episode so do bear with me I'm new to this I do I did have a YouTube channel before it was called alipac it was more dinosaur related content but I really wanted to do my Gators and actually talk about them and bring up like some news and stuff uh but yes we won 457 I'm excited I'm happy that we won cuz you never want to lose these games these are supposed to be quick and easy games that were are quick and easy games that are should be easy to win for our guys and I'm glad they pulled out the W and more in a dominant fashion CU last few years it's been pretty been pretty brutal when it comes to these cup kick games it's been pretty brutal so I'm glad they did it and they did dominant fashion and uh hopes for the future this has been alipac the man the my the gayer onesie wearer signing off
