RANKING EVERY PWHL NAME & LOGO!

hey everybody welcome back to the Jersey Zone yesterday the pwl Finally Revealed their team names and logos I was really really excited about it because of course I'm not really a big fan of just wor marks on jerseys I don't really like those so the fact that they do now actually have some branding it is very exciting to me that being said I don't know if I love a lot of the team names and logos I I'm very WellMed with what they have released uh I I think really there's only one that I strongly dislike and one that I strongly like the rest of I think are just straight up fine but I'm going to go ahead and rank all of these team names and logos before I do so though if you guys are new to the channel and you like hockey jersey content please make sure to subscribe I would really appreciate it starting us off at number six I have the Ottawa charge this is the one that I straight up just don't like I don't think the name is very good I don't think the logo looks very good and a lot of people have been Ming on this logo as well saying that it either looks like a combination of the Cleveland Cavaliers logo and the Calgary Flames or that it just looks like the Calgary Flames logo that Andrew mon a pony Drew when he was trying to draw the Flames logo off from memory and both of them yeah they they do like that's very fair comparisons for both of those memes there yeah this one is just not really doing it for me honestly and I just really don't like that team name I I it just for me when I think of charge I think of charging your phone and it just doesn't Inspire anything too crazy for me I I can see an angle where it is like you know charging up a lot of power and you know kind of going full force into the enemy team and everything like that and there could be a couple of chance that could be sort of fun but honestly for me it just does not do a lot and that logo you know obviously it does have that o and the C kind of integrated in there and maybe a little bit of a lightning bolt at the end of like that c I can kind of see that but it still just does not really work for me it's just not a name that I particularly love so that's why this one comes at number six moving on to number five I have the boston Fleet this is one where I think the logo is fine but I'm not really huge fan of the team name itself it does make sense for Boston because you have the Boston Harbor which has ships in it which make a fleet so I get that but it just doesn't really Inspire anything out of me it doesn't really make me think anything too crazy for the team name itself as for the logo it does look very similar to the harer Whalers logo just flipped to the side which is the Bennington Whalers I believe was the team name back in the day it was literally just the har for whalers logo flipped to the side uh so this one is very very similar to obviously the Bingington Whalers and I think it works fine you know obviously it does look like an anchor in the shape of a bee I I don't think the waves are all too great though I think that's a little bit too you know inyour face almost in a way like I I I don't know like it's not like this is a subtle logo or anything like that but the waves just kind of give it that extra hey this is for ships and everything like that this is about you know water and it's just I think a little bit too much for myself personally so I don't love the waves in the logo I think they should have probably implemented another color there although you know we'll get to the color scheme with all of these teams in a second but with Boston's one I'll be honest I'm not even I'm massive fan of the color scheme that they used you know for the previous season I didn't really like it a whole lot it was one of the ones where I it was really lacking to me uh so with Boston here yeah it's okay it's fine now with number four we have the New York Sirens this one is actually fairly disappointing to me because I like that name I think that name could be a lot of fun but just with the direction that they took it it's not that great because so you have that NY in the background that's fine but then you have the sirens in the middle and kind of like those vibrations of the s's beside it and I don't think that actually works all too well I think in theory that's fine but it just doesn't look that great and also the direction of the team name itself I don't really particularly like because With Sirens obviously you have the go horn Sirens that is what they're actually doing like that is the purpose of the name that is what they're trying to uh go for with with this name but you also obviously with New York have a lot of sirens with just ambulance and polices and everything like that so they could have taken that in that direction or they also could have taken it in the mythical Direction with like the sirens in the sea and that side and I actually think I probably would have preferred the mythical Direction I get why they didn't want to go that way with it being a women's hockey team league and I I I think it could have you know maybe come off not all that great but I also think that they could have made it in an actual really nice way as well especially with the colors that they have I think their colors could have worked really well with the siren name and with it being kind of like an ocean theme and everything like that I think I really could have liked that but obviously they did not take it in that direction and they decided just to go with the go horn Sirens which I think is probably the lamest direction that they honestly could have taken it so that's why this one comes at number four is just because I think it does have a lot of potential for a team name I think it could have worked even if they just took it in the direction of you know police sirens and everything like that that worked super well for New York so I think they really probably even should have just gone in that direction not go in that mythical Direction and just use the police sirens and the ambulance sirens and everything like that and I think that really could have worked I think that would have been a lot of fun but yeah the direction that they took it in it's not the best it's a good team name but just with the logo here I'm not really super vibing with it at least for right now then at number three we have the Minnesota Frost and honestly this is probably the team name that I do like the best but it's also the most boring team name there's you know it it works for a hockey team but it's just Frost it's nothing crazy it's like naming your team ice or you know snow or something like that I don't know it's just a very boring basic and I it works it's not a bad team name it's really not but it's just not anything too special same thing with that logo as well it's just an F with you know some icicles coming off of it it looks pretty okay but it it's just very Bland very basic and I I don't mind that you know I do think it will work well for mines soda especially with that color scheme I think you know it is going to kind of have some really nice looking jerseys there but it's just an okay team name and an okay logo coming in at number two I have the Tron of scepter this is one that has climbed up the list as the day has kind of gone on a little bit I think it started off as probably my fourth or third favorite but it's at number two as of right now and that's probably where it will stay maybe it will even fall back a little bit as the months go on here but as of right now I do think it is a pretty decent looking logo with the T and the S and of course a lot of people have pointed out that this logo does kind of look like the logo that Taylor Swift wore in her Shake It Off music video and most of the time I don't think I would like that I think that would kind of ruin this logo for me but I think it actually kind of works here just because of how many people in the pwhl fan base like Taylor Swift and even some of the players as well like they've kind of shown it on social media and everything like that so I actually think it really fits for this logo here and kind of makes me like it a little bit more as well so it it's one thing that I didn't think that would make me like it but it's kind of you know a reason why this has climbed up the list a little bit at least for myself but even without that aspect I do still think this is a pretty nice looking logo obviously it's got like the handle and everything like that with the T the S kind of I think muddles it a little bit there but it still is pretty nice however at number one I do have the Montreal vict is like the worst that is like the worst French accent you possibly could have I do actually like the name a decent amount I wonder how many like American commentators are just going to say the Montreal Victory I wonder how many are just going to go ahead and say that instead of saying victoire uh very interested there but as of the logo itself I actually like the just general logo there of like the bird I'm assuming is what it's supposed to be because it has the wings there obviously you can see the m in the dark blue and also like the head of the bird is a Flo Le uh so I like that I think that is all very cool but I just don't like the almost I guess baseball diamond shape or at least home plate shape uh whatever shape that is is it reminds me a lot of baseball so I don't like actually that aspect with the victoire above it I think I would have preferred it without and just straight up the bird I think that would have been a lot better at least for myself but either way the Victor Al to Montreal do come out on top for my favorite logo and team name from the pwl overall I do think they are I don't want to say disappointing so I am just going to say I'm whelmed by all of these like I said at the start of the video I I think you know Montreal is the best and I think it does actually look really nice and OT was I don't really like at all and I think is pretty bad but with the rest of them I think they're all okay they're just fine I am very excited to see what the jerseys are going to end up looking like though those are either coming sometime in late October or early November and it is going to be interesting because you know a couple of teams did add a color to their color scheme with Montreal it is that blue they just had you know the burgundy and the off-white with Toronto it is the yellow there and it doesn't really look like there is any black which they used to have with their color scheme so I'm intrigued about that as well with Minnesota it looks like they are going to probably be keeping with the same color scheme for the sirens they did add a little bit of orange I think is on the outside there at least it looks orange to me maybe it's a yellow uh but you know maybe they could add just a slight you know stripe of orange into their jerseys we'll see if they end up doing that Boston probably is going to be the same and with Ottawa there maybe a little bit of yellow but probably also going to keep like the same color scheme as well so I do think like probably the biggest changes to their color scheme is probably going to be Toronto and Montreal I do think they added you know a pretty significant color with their logos that I think is going to change the color scheme out quite a bit for their Jersey so I'm interested to see how those are going to look it's a little bit unfortunate though because those were probably my favorite color schemes outside of Minnesota I really like Minnesota so I'm glad that they are keeping with that purple really really happy about that but with Montreal I love the cream and burgundy there I thought that was great so I hope that they don't take away too much of that to implement the blue there I hope the blue is maybe just like a third color or something like that I hope it's not too kind of inyour face uh and same thing with Toronto as well I hope that the yellow isn't a ton I hope it's just a little bit maybe even just still in the logo you know it's possible that they don't Implement any of the yellow into their Jersey and maybe it's just in the logo itself it would be a little bit strange but still possible nonetheless anyways those are my
