hello it's good to see you uh let's go live on Tick Tock and let us get um Facebook gum I am so excited that we are all here are we all here okay all right so hi guys it's great to see all of you I am live in three places Tick Tock YouTube and um Facebook because um I wanted to watch with you guys just got home from work let's watch my episode on the Rachel ratio um take a page and I got it queued up so we are ready to go Lets Watch [Music] great freeze problems solved I love these shows when we have the chance to do always mix up the categories but we bring in some of our favorite Pros that make it feel like a conversation instead of a finger rack right we we just let everyone one of my favorite episodes ever and we problem solve and by way I mean yeah for many many years I feel like my new friends guys this dress I love this dress love it and Brilliant welcome to all thank you so much [Music] and Anna sent hers in on tape let's take a look so this first part um this first part we're going through Stacy's stuff so we're solving problems here and what I'm actually going to do is fast forward it to my section because well I don't know it's my stuff so a lot of you guys on Facebook are writing that you watched thank you guys so much for watching if you saw this episode today let me know but let's go to my section where I debunk some myths by the way this orange dress was like literally one of my favorites ever and I've been waiting ah I've been waiting for this episode to air so I could wear this dress yes oh here we are okay let me go back so let's talk because I talk about the detoxes and cleanses and all sorts of stuff okay so hold on hold on QA okay so this is the end of Stacy's segment where she's like helping the woman like get her clothing together and all that good stuff so all right let's she looks fat no like fabulous Fab people who are going after coveted and being back in the office we still want to be comfortable there are tons of fashionable Flats good for you um take a question from Caitlyn and I think we have it on email Dr Jen hi I have a cabinet full of old medications I've been sitting around and I need to get rid of them uh what is the best way to safely dispose of my medication I've done videos on this you all know I know you all know the answer and I think a lot of us do that we just sort of pitch things yeah actually there's a right and a wrong way to throw things out if you go to fda.gov it will tell you which medications actually should be flushed versus thrown out and even better than that there's FDA sites that you can actually take your medications to in your local area to drop them off that's the safest but let's say you go to the FDA site you have your medications you need to throw them out or that's what you're able to do based on the FDA what do you do now this is actually one of my favorite tricks here first thing you want to do because the biggest thing is when you throw your meds out you don't want anybody getting into them you don't want dogs people babies getting into the trash right it'd be dangerous yeah in the garbage first of all what you want to do is get a plastic bag and kind of like this like a Ziploc one and you want to put a substance inside that's really kind of undesirable like use coffee grounds or dirt or just something like yeah so you got your bag here what you want to do is you want to take your pills out let's say these are the pills that you no longer need let's see if I get into this the doctor can't get it so these are pills that your doctor maybe change your dose or something right so what you want to do is you want to mix it kind of like this right you want to seal it up just like this so that the substance doesn't leak out then you can throw it away but we are not done yet because we still have our labels and so what you want to do get yourself a Sharpie and you can go ahead and just sort of cross out all your information oh that's a good question yeah we've talked about this y'all you know we have talked about it no one has your personal information or your medical information can I ask a question yes is there a reason we should not flush medication yeah so there are actually some medications that are better off flushed and I know a lot of people have concerns about medications getting into the water supply but the FDA has done a lot of studies they have this on their website that many medications that they recommend to be flushed actually the amounts that go into the water supply is actually quite negligible and for those medications it's actually safer to flush them than not to Excellency [Laughter] okay let's go to the next segment this like while I fast forward this segment honestly all was like literally one of the most fun segments I have ever done and Stacy um London who she was from What Not to Wear remember that show from years ago oh my God loved her I grew up ah oh this is mali's segment um Molly is the makeup artist she's like the sweetest part in the world okay let's see what's next okay she's gonna do it because she's like a QVC makeup artist and she's like a doll this woman is a doll um let's see question okay so she does makeup makes her look Fab so fab okay and honestly these women were so much fun to work with I so actually wish we could do more segments together like the Rachel ratio is ending but I am so sad that I'm not able to like work with these ladies anymore because it was so much fun and when I tell you we generally had an amazing time we genuinely had an amazing time it was this my question let's see oh yeah we're talking about juice cleanses y'all listen up your show giving great advice to our viewers I think so okay she's back up she's been on deck for a few minutes next question comes from one of our viewers she's right over there hi pretty she's in that beautiful teal sweater Robin yes hi hi what would you like to know from Dr Jen I'm was our friend's house last night and she was telling me how she's starting a cleanse day and she's trying to convince me to join her we talked about how I want to lose some weight I'd like to increase my energy level and I'm just not sold on it all I'm kind of on the fence and so I was wondering if um a detox or a juice cleanse are they healthy are they things that you would suggest that's an excellent question I am so glad that you asked about that because it's sort of everywhere right but the truth of the matter is is no oh my God for me would make me the grumpiest angriest there's the most angry person on the planet and that's actually one of the problems so let's just focus on juice cleanses right and thank you for asking it's a very important question I think probably all of us have wondered ourselves because it's out there in the news but the idea of just drinking juice only juice for an extended period of time to whether it's to get more energy lose weight ETC number one it's a lot of sugar number two it's probably not enough protein number three you gotta be angry yeah okay I got some suggestions for you [Applause] we've got the fruits and the veggies over here all the colors with veggies here okay and now we got the lean protein you got salmon you got chickpeas legumes you got peanuts what we want is a balanced diet that's really ideal because remember your brain needs energy you gotta think you gotta function and that's really going to keep you the healthiest and exercising making sure that we're getting that well done you eat a balanced diet y'all okay balanced diets are where it's at okay yeah the cleanses and the detoxes and stuff eat healthy so much better for you and will make you feel better and you won't like feel hungry oh okay this might be the end of it but you'll see how we go out because it was a lot of fun like these women are like my girlfriends now like in my head Outro [Laughter] have to solve problems and especially in today's world we all have so many problems with each other we hope you had a fun time with it we solved a couple of your smaller ones in life um we hope that you share some more time with good food and good friends and share your
