Happy 100th Birthday President Nelson! My Top Ten Favorite Talks From Our Beloved Prophet

Intro - Top Ten List good evening brothers and sisters thank you so much for joining me again on stand blameless today is the 100th birthday of President Russell M Nelson the prophet of God upon the earth I love that man I know he's a prophet and I have been strengthened over the years as I've listened to his words in general conference and in other places like social media I know he's a prophet because the spirit has witnessed to me that he is a prophet of God I am so grateful to put this video together tonight I'd like to do a top 10 list of talks that President Nelson has given which has directly impacted my life as I go through these talks I'm going to go from uh I'll start with number 10 and go down to the most impactful on my life personally now president Nelson he's been an apostle for a long time for 40 years and so he's given over a 100 plus general conference talks so I had a hard time selecting just 10 but with this list I hope that it benefits somebody out there and that I can just have an opportunity to testify of the importance of a living Prophet on the Earth today for indeed this is the Church of Jesus Christ and we are built on the foundation of Apostles and Prophets sorry I got to turn this off okay so let's begin the top 10 conference talks that President Nelson has given and how they have touched me number 10 the correct name of the 10 The Correct Name of the Church - Oct 2018 church this was given in October 2018 and at the time I was just fascinated by this talk I was really impressed by what he said it was to me a matter of identity really I identifi as a Mormon uh before this talk but after this talk it really clarified in my mind the importance of identifying as a latterday saint and as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I believe this talk has really helped me personally as I'm engaging with other people when I'm uh in a conversation with somebody and they mentioned the name Mormon I always remember this talk and I remember remember president Nelson's example to to gently correct them and say no we're we're actually not Mormons we're members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latterday saints and uh the way he approached that that uh that role play in his talk it was such a good example and I really admire president Nelson for taking the courage to uh change the name on all of the websites and all of our uh Church materials right it's just amazing to see the new logo of the church and I feel like the savior is coming soon because this is indeed his church and since the introduction of that logo uh of the Savior it feels more real it feels just more powerful that we are his people we are set apart from the world and the world the world can you know hate True Religion all they want but we know we are the peculiar people the Covenant people of the Lord in preparation for the Lord's second coming so I'd like to read a quote on each of these talks the quote I'd like to identify in this talk is when he said Jesus Christ directed us to call the church by his name because it is his church filled with his power to remove the lord's name name from The Lord's church is a major victory for Satan when we disregards the savior's name we are subtly disregarding all that Jesus Christ did for us even his atonement I testify that that is true and ever since this talk was given I profoundly uh I I I think of the the church in a new way and uh I'm grateful that we can do away with that name Mormon and actually bring people onto that knowledge that this is the the Church of Jesus Christ built on his Doctrine on the foundation of Apostles and Prophets I love it so thank you so much president Nelson for your faith and for your testimony that you have shared over the years I know this isn't the first time you've shared on this topic but thank you so much as the president of the church for helping us understand the importance of the true name of the church Church the next Talk number nine joy and 9 Joy and Spiritual Survival - Oct 2016 spiritual survival this talk was given in October 2016 this talk for me personally uh president Nelson really gave me a new perspective on the purpose of my own trials he also gave me a new perspective on Jesus Christ Jesus as he suffered the most agonizing ordeal as he took upon himself the pains the sicknesses and the sins of all mankind as he went through that excruciating infinite atonement to know that he did it focusing on the Joy on the outcome and it was just so powerful hearing what president Nelson had to say so he said here Joy is powerful and focusing on Joy brings God's power into our lives as in all things Jesus Christ is our ultimate Exemplar who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross think of that in order for him to endure the most excruciating experience ever endured on Earth Our Savior focused on Joy so powerful thank you so much president Nelson for this wonderful talk another quote that I find very meaningful in here it says quote my dear brothers and sisters the joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of Our Lives I've used this principle in missionary work many times I've actually been enabled because of this talk to offer needed counsel to other people who are going through bitter trials and and just having the ability to help them see the joy the to recognize that through gratitude and through thinking of Christ and focusing on him we can overcome all things for truly Jesus Christ through him we can do all things we are given strength to overcome all things so the last quote I want to mention on this talk is is this quote Joy is a gift for the faithful it is the gift that comes from intentionally trying to live a righteous life as taught by Jesus Christ I testify that I have felt immense joy as I have been faithful to my covenants I testify that I have tried to live to the best of my ability a righteous life and I have had so much joy pour into my heart and gratitude because of the blessings that I've been I've been receiving over the over the many years I've seen his miracles I've I've felt his spirit I have gained knowledge all of the good things that come into my life are because of Jesus Christ and his atonement and the joy of his gospel thank you president Nelson for giving this incredible talk in October 2016 Talk number eight the Sabbath is a 8 The Sabbath is a Delight - April 2015 delight this was given in April 2015 I'd like to begin this section giving a direct quote from president Nelson he said quote how do we hallow the Sabbath day in my yet in my much younger years I studied the work of others who had compiled Li compiled lists of things to do and things not to do on the Sabbath it wasn't until later that I learned from the scriptures that my conduct and my attitude on the Sabbath constituted a sign between me and my heavenly father with that understanding I no longer needed lists of dos and don'ts when I had a decision to make I'm sorry when I had to make a decision whether or not an activity was appropriate for the Sabbath I simply asked myself what sign do I want to give to God that question made my choices about the Sabbath day Crystal Clear uh I I have deeply been touched by this talk because of President Nelson's faith in sharing this sharing this principle I have taken my obedience to honoring the Sabbath day much more seriously now I know he wasn't president of the church when this was given but it was so powerful and I remember when he gave it and I committed then and there to honor the Sabbath day better and I have and I've seen great blessings in fact as I've shared in ear your videos I want to I want to testify of something that I feel very strongly about last year uh as I've mentioned in earlier videos we've acquired a business and as as shared it was a big trial for us but before I get into how hard of a trial it was I started this Venture with my wife having received a answer to prayer that it was the right thing for us to do and I walked forward in faith and we purchased the business and I I just invested so much of of my financial resources to to make this transaction happen and I just put it all out there and I had faith that it would work the owner of the business that we were buying from he he told me that Saturday and Sunday are the best days for business and I told him straight up that if we bought this business we would close the business on Sunday and he he chided me and and really discouraged me with that line of thinking and then even the employees who used to work here they also discouraged me saying that Sunday was the busiest day of the week and so I knew that I had I had a choice I could either follow in the arm of Flesh follow the wisdom of man saying to keep the sa to to ignore the Sabbath day and keep the business open when in my heart I knew that was the wrong thing to do I needed to close the doors entirely and nobody would make a penny with this business on on the Sabbath day I had a good understanding of the numbers uh before uh we bought the business how profitable it would be I I had an idea because of the numbers of the previous owner they they confided that information to me but we bought the business and we clo we've always been closed on Sunday just like Chick-fil-A and um guess what over our first year of business our numbers were not only comparable with the previous owner numbers even though they were open for seven days our numbers seem to be better and this year it seems as if our numbers will be even better than the previous year and we've only been open six days that to me is a testament of keeping the Sabbath day holy I've tried to rest on the Sabbath day I've tried to honor the Lord by keeping that commandment and I believe he has abundantly blessed us we have been so blessed with this business and I just testify there are direct blessings of keeping the Sabbath day one of which is greater Prosperity but there's so many other blessings including a greater endowment of the Holy Ghost In Our Lives Talk number seven the creation 7 The Creation - April 2000 this was given quite a while ago in April of 2000 I am a geologist by trade and in my patriarchal blessing it actually counsels me to study the Earth and uh I learned in my own patriarchal blessing where the patriarch said the words that I am fascinated with physical processes and uh that and I have been as I went to college and I learned the principles of this Earth I was so fascinated by the beauty and Grandeur and Majesty of this Earth it's the most glorious creation and I know that it is the work of almighty God he created this Earth just for us think of it from The Majestic mountains to the Deep oceans to the mid ocean ridges to to the animals that that are on all sort in all sorts of environments to the the sedimentology that's occurring 30,000 ft below the ocean floor there are so many things happening within this Dynamic beautiful Earth's crust that I just find so fascinating to to know that there are salt canopies and structures in the subsurface that are 10 times the size of Mount Everest but we don't even see their their um you know we don't even see their manifestation on the surface in many instances there are incredible wonders in the subsurface of this Earth and I've been privileged as a professional to see through seismic data and see this Earth in a way that many billions many millions of people in fact the majority of of humanity will never be able to see and in a coming video I'd like to actually make a video on this Earth on the geology and uh just testify of how glorious the creation is so when he gave this earth when he I'm sorry when he gave this talk there was a fundamental principle that he shared in this talk that I've always remembered I've always remembered it strengthened my testimony he said quote Grand as it is planet Earth is part of something even grander the great plan of God simply summarized the Earth was created that families might be I love that and to see the footnote that goes to Doctrine and Covenants to talk about the the measure of this Earth's creation it was so that we could have families and to hear president Nelson emphasize this teaching it really drove home just how incredible uh his love is for us his children he loves us even more than he loves this Earth this Earth is a means to an end what is the end that we can become exalted and become like him he created this Earth just for us that says so much about the love of Our Father in heaven so I just want to testify that um in in all of my fascination with geology and the Earth this talk it drove home not only the how but the why behind the creation and I've been able to share that many times in my testimony relating Elma Chapter 30 where Elma testifies to Kor that all things denote there is a God I testify that this Earth and all things upon the face thereof testify that there is a God in heaven who loves 6 Nurturing Marriage - Oct 2007 us number six nurturing marriage this talk was given in October of 2007 and this talk had a profound impact on me because of of my engagement to my wife Michelle so just a little bit of backstory I met my wife Michelle in November of 2017 in the Provo Temple uh we met at BYU and she she just inspired me to be a better person and from the moment when I met her I knew that she was the one because she she moved me to repent of of certain things and uh I remember I was so impressed with her that uh I just knew that she was the one I prayed prayed about the the feeling and I I got that confirmation from the spirit that she was the one I was to marry and so uh we got engaged actually just like three weeks after we met each other uh I asked her to marry me in front of the Salt Lake Temple in the the rooftop restaurant overlooking the temple and uh and during the engagement so which is it was a 3-month engagement we were married in February of 2008 which in my opinion was the most important day of my entire existence that during that engagement phase there was a time where I wanted to play a video game here and there Michelle walked in the room saw me playing a video game she took she took off her wedding ring she walked up to me and she said I'm not going to marry a man who plays video games and it really really shocked me I was like Wow uh I have a choice either I lose Michelle or I lose the game and so um I chose to lose the game and that whole day like I had I had I was in the middle of a Calculus exam and I went in and and and told the professor I was under so much stress over the whole whole uh disagreement we had and um I was worried that she was going to leave me I was just an emotional mess that day but this talk I heard this talk the very first time it was given it didn't really hit me but I listened to this talk just after we had this disagreement and it profoundly touched me I was pricked to the heart in this talk he gives a story of him going on an airplane and seeing seeing a man you know playing on his on his device and um you playing a video game and his wife was like putting her her head on his shoulder and trying to get his attention and just yearning for some affection but he seemed to be totally oblivious to her and didn't give her any indication that he loved her and president Nelson he says in his talk his inattention made me feel like shouting open your eyes man can't you see pay attention your wife loves you she needs you she uh or when President Nelson said this I I just thought of Michelle and I just thought of what had transpired I think it was the previous day or it was it was very recent uh when I when I relisten to this talk and again it really touched me and it was amazing because that same weekend there was a state conference and our state president shared a story where apparently he was um in an interview with with one of these young couples and the State president shared of the detrimental effect video games have on marriages he he shared that after this after this interview with the couple he felt like cutting the power cord to this man's computer because of how selfish that very act has been in their marriage and that also pricked my heart so thank you president Nelson for this talk given in October of 2007 one month before I met my wife on nurturing marriage at the end of this talk he he gives this beautiful poem that really emphasizes the importance of of caring and cherishing our companion and uh I I love listening to that poem I'm not going to quote it now but uh it reminds me of my marriage day on February 8th in the Salt Lake Temple of 2008 where as I was in the waiting room getting ready uh to go to the ceiling room one of the sisters came to me and she said brother Hilton remember one thing be gentle be gentle I have never never forgotten that counsil and through my marriage that Council has blessed me and I've reflected on this talk on nurturing marriage it's it's profoundly affected our marriage um we are 16 years in we're happily married we've had many disagreements along the way we've grown a lot together I'm so grateful for my wife and for her her faithfulness her her forgiveness her just her nature her character her strength in helping me overcome my natural man Tendencies she as as mentioned in previous videos I had this Spirit of apathy in 2017 through 2019 and that also um it was it was a detriment to our marriage because I tried to play video games again during that phase and I could not find Joy I could not find joy in in doing things my way and this leads me into the next talk 5 Rev. For Church, Rev. For our Lives - April 2018 Point Talk number five Revelation for the church Revelation for our lives this was given in April of 2018 I'm I'm going to start this section by giving the quote from president Nelson he says quote in coming days it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding directing comforting and constant influence of the Holy Ghost at the time this was given I was again in that Spirit of apathy and so I just didn't let the spirit touch me but I I did reflect on it time and time again um especially when I found out and I was at the end of my rope in 2019 and I just said in my heart this is just not working I'm not happy I'm miserable trying to trying to squeeze in a little video game here and try at the same time to be a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ it could not be done I could not receive Revelation I couldn't feel the spirit I couldn't receive the blessings in my life because I was so glued to this video game that I wanted to play the same one that I got addicted to when I was a teenager and I remember this this talk even though it was given in April 2018 I reflected on it uh again and again especially in um early 2020 when I came out of that phase and I know that this has been this has been such a pivotal uh principle in my life that in fact I remember a um a sacrament meeting talk where a man shared the the very same principle that in order to get out of any spiritual spiritual dir that we're in any spiritual Wilderness that we're in we need to heed the spirit we need to receive revelation for our lives so this talk literally saved my spiritual life this principle that was shared president Nelson says quote I urge you to stretch beyond your current spiritual ability to receive personal revelation for the Lord has promised that if Thou shalt seek Thou shalt receive Revelation upon Revelation knowledge upon knowledge that thou mayest know the Mysteries and Peaceable things that which bringeth joy that which bring bringeth life eternal I remember the the scripture in Moses chapter 6 and I Shar this with my family that the spirit quickens all things and gives life to All Things without the spirit I had no life I had no happiness I was left to myself over and over and over again but as soon as I made that commitment to put my life on the altar giving it to the Lord and letting him come into my life that made it that has made all the difference president Nelson uh says also in this talk oh there is so much more that your father in Heaven wants you to know as Elder Neil Neil a Maxwell taught to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear it is clear that the father and the son are giving away the secrets of the universe nothing opens the heavens quite like the combination of increased Purity exact obedience Earnest seeking daily feasting on the words of Christ in the Book of Mormon and regular time committed to Temple and family history work thank you president Nelson for giving us this talk it was it has profoundly changed my life I am forever grateful for your 4 Peacemakers Needed - April 2023 faith Talk number four peacemakers needed given in April of 2023 the first quarter and into the second quarter of last year 2023 was a very difficult time in my life financially I was resting with a bunch of with a lot of uncertainty and I was also going through a challenging time at work and uh this increased stress in my life made me more more irritable as a father and as a husband and there were times when I made mistakes as a father and I raised my voice and I I hurt my children's feelings and through this time I heard this talk and it pricked my heart it pricked my heart and I knew that I needed to repent and to be more of a disciple of Jesus Christ and to bring peace and keep peace in the home anger as president Nelson he says here he says contention drives away the spirit every time contention reinforces the false notion that confrontation is the way to resolve differences but it never is at the time we bought the business there were a lot of things that my my wife wanted to do in terms of uh improving the the property and I disagreed because our finances were so tight I I just spent a boatload of money getting the property and I I wasn't sure that the money would would reimburse us quick enough and so I was you know at the time I had um I had nine kids in the home with three dogs that you know one of which she bought without my permission and so there was just like I I nearly had a nervous breakdown first quarter of 2023 I was re in fact I'll just put it out there I believe I did have a nervous breakdown on on one occasion in particular and um it brought tears to my eyes uh just the the stress that I was feeling at that moment um and but Michelle was there and she was forgiving she was helpful she was patient I was bearing the weight of the world at that time and um often I would I would confront my wife's decisionmaking because and it would lead to confrontation and the spirit would drive away but when I heard this talk it changed my life president Nelson said uh confrontation is never the way to resolve differences right contention is a choice peacemaking is a choice you have your agency to choose contention or reconciliation I urge you to choose to be a peacemaker now and always again I just want to testify that this talk in particular on peacemakers needed it has reinforced so many things in my life it has improved my marriage it has improved my ability to be patient amid stress it has made me more emotional resilient it has helped me understand how to build Bridges between those I disagree with it has helped me pray for my enemies it has helped me and I don't have many right I I love all my brothers and sisters but those who despitefully use me and persecute me um for for testifying of the gospel and and trying to stand up for what I believe in it's those people that probably in this life will never see will never see eye to eye um it's with those people that I believe I've been a able to make certain bridges of reconciliation with because of this talk um two two months ago I I gave a uh I gave a uh video called Teach and testify in normal natural conversation I met a man whom I called Tony at Home Depot here in Katie and in that conversation with with that man he approached me with sort of an attack against my beliefs about Jesus Christ about what I believe about Jesus Christ and I remember the Holy Spirit it rested upon me and and prompted me to testify of Jesus Christ as The Peacemaker the King of Kings as the as as truly the Lord of peace and um the Prince of Peace I'm sorry that's the phrase I testify that Jesus is the Prince of Peace to that man and it immediately brought the spirit into our gospel conversation it made me a more effective missionary in that moment I felt the spirit just resting upon me it's like my whole chest was just had this feeling of fire I was filled with that Joy which which is unspeakable and full of Glory it was this spiritual Fire Within me as I was testifying to this man of who Jesus Christ is I testify Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace he is my greatest friend and my greatest example and I'm so grateful for him I'm so grateful for president Nelson and giving this talk thank you president Nelson for your faith for teaching us the importance of having peace okay talk number three overcome the 3 Overcome the World and Find Rest - Oct 2022 world and find rest this talk was given in October of 2022 and this talk came again just months prior to having a very massive life change at this time I was getting ready to sell her old house and there was a lot going on and I remember just feeling so burdened with the weight of the world at that time and even during that ordeal of the first quarter of 2023 it was this talk that I came back to again and again and again overcome the world and find rest and there were days where when every every time I was focused on the business and the finances and my job at work and and the trials I was going through um you know there was a situation where my life was just upended uh you know there was a lot of things going on and um I I remember this talk reading it several times and every time I would feel the spirit it would it would Revitalize Me and it would give me strength to overcome the day because of this talk I believe I had the the faith to overcome uh those trials that I went through in the first quarter of last year so I just want to say here um a few quotes and and we all know this first quote it says in coming days we will see the greatest manifestations of the savior's power that the world has ever seen between now and the time he returns with power and great Glory he will bestow countless privileges blessings and miracles upon the faithful I've looked forward to the second coming for a long time as you probably have and I felt that the second coming is close because of these statements from president Nelson he then testifies he says quote the reward for keeping covenants with God is Heavenly power power that strengthens us to withstand our trials Temptations and heartaches better this power eases our way those who live the higher laws of Jesus Christ have access to this to his higher power thus Covenant Keepers this is so important Covenant keepers are entitled to a special kind of rest that comes to them through their covenantal relationship with God I testify that that's true I've sought to keep my covenants with greater exactness because of this talk and I have found rest I have found solace in the temple president Nelson says quote the truth is that it is much more exhausting to seek happiness where you can never find it it yeah it it might seem that keeping the Commandments keeping all these covenants seems to be so much seems to be exhausting but that's not the case it actually brings so much more peace into our lives amid the the craziness that we go through and again relating to the video games in the earlier section I sought happiness with something of the world and it was exhausting I could not find it there it was not there and um I know that's true quote president Nelson says as I have stated before the Gathering of Israel is the most important work taking place on Earth today one crucial element of this Gathering is preparing a people who are able ready and worthy to receive the Lord when he comes again a people who have already chosen Jesus Christ over this Fallen World a people who rejoice in their agency to live the higher Holier laws of Jes Jesus Christ I call upon you my dear brothers and sisters to become this righteous people cherish and honor your covenants above all other commitments as you let God Prevail in your life I promise you greater peace confidence joy and yes rest thank you president Nelson for your faith for your Insight for your testimony of this wonderful principle of finding Rest by keeping our covenants by drawing us closer to Jesus Christ because of you I have been coming closer to Jesus Christ step by step and I know that in a coming day I will see his face as will all the faithful Saints and with that day I look forward to with great anticipation I testify to all you who are watching this video that I know that President Nelson is a prophet of God and what he taught in this talk is true okay number two rejoice in 2 Rejoice in Priesthood Keys - April 2024 priesthood keys this was given last conference in April 2024 I received a witness of the holy spirit in this talk as I was listening to this talk for the first time as I was driving down the freeway I listened intently to this talk and the spirit Came Upon me and I felt that President Russell and Nelson is the Lord's living Prophet upon the on the Earth today I know that that is true I gained that witness of the Holy Ghost that that is true he holds the keys of the Holy priesthood I have been sealed to my wife for time and all eternity through those very keys that he holds through those keys that were restored to Joseph Smith uh in the Kirtland Temple by Elijah and Elias and Moses I testify that that is true I've felt I've I've listened to Brother Anderson on uh he's the uh scholar of the Kirtland uh you know era the history of the church in the kurtland uh phase of the church history and what a powerful testimony Brother Anderson has on on that time I've felt the spirit as I as I've listened to that content and I testify that in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the the the um the stories of the Divine manifestations are true it's not just Joseph Smith that had all these manifestations it's so many other people it's so many other eyewitnesses recently I was listening to a debate actually on YouTube and I heard brother uh Cliff conl testify that we ought to go to the source material for our best information on the resurrection ction of Jesus Christ his claim that the Bible is such confirming evidence of the Divinity of Jesus Christ because of all the witnesses that saw him after his resurrection but we as latterday Saints are so privileged to have these extra sets of scripture these extra Witnesses of Jesus Christ that attest to the fact that he has manifested himself in our day Jesus Christ and that that many other eyewitnesses have seen the savior in our day and they have also seen angels and Prophets read DNC 1228 you cannot read that section without rejoicing I testify that this is the work and glory of God to bring to pass our immort immortality and eternal life and it's in this church that we understand these things president Nelson thank you so much for this this talk you said in your talk quote priesthood Keys distinguish the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from any other organization on Earth many other organizations can and do make your life better here in mortality but no other organization can and will influence your life after death priesthood Keys give us the authority to extend all the blessings promised to Abraham to every Covenant keeping man and woman this is so powerful these are very absolute statements that every other church is part of that second church right there's only two churches in the world the Church of the Lamb of God and the Church of the devil it's that simple every other church that does not belong to the Church of the Lamb of God is part of the of the system that the devil has infused confusion and sown so much corruption on the face of the Earth if there's any non-member of the church listening to this talk what I just said it might even startle you or even offend you to claim that all other Christian churches are part of the Church of the devil The Book of Mormon declares that this is the case I believe there is so much good in the other Christian churches out there and that Christians who truly love the Savior and try to follow him and try to repent of their sins throughout their life I believe with all my heart based on DNC um 137 that they will be inheritors of celestial Glory God has so much in store for those who truly love him and even if they're part of these other churches that are filled with philosophies of men they have potential to receive Celestial Glory thank you president Nelson for your comments in this talk um I just want to conclude this section with with a quote that he said um Temple work makes ex these Exquisite blessings available to all of God's children the blessings of Abraham regardless of where or when they lived or now live let us rejoice that priesthood keys are once again on the Earth I invite you to consider carefully the following three statements the Gathering of Israel is evidence that God loves all of his children everywhere the gospel of Abraham is further evidence that God loves all of his children everywhere he invites all to come unto him black and white Bond and free male and female all are alike unto God and three the sealing power is superal evidence of how much God loves all of his children everywhere and wants each of them to choose to return home to him so about my comments about there being two churches in the world this is true what president Nelson is saying there is one Church on this earth that is the vehicle for all the ordinances of Salvation and exaltation it is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I know that that's true because of this talk I have been a more frequent attendee of the temple here in Houston and I've been filled with Joy this talk has profoundly impacted my life I've studied DNC 109 in the celestial room and I have felt the Holy Spirit witness to me that the temples are so integral to the plan of God our father and his son Jesus Christ I testify that this talk has changed my life and I know that President Nelson is a prophet of 1 Hear Him - April 2020 God number one probably the most profound talk for my life has been the talk given in April of 2020 entitled hear him this talk made Jesus Christ more more personal to to me than anything when I read the scriptures now especially recently in DNC 93 I was reading and I was so touched by the spirit the words of Jesus Christ just jump off out of the page and touch my soul we read in DNC 93 verse one verily thus sayeth the Lord it shall come to pass that every soul who forsaketh his sins and cometh unto me and calleth on my name and obeyeth my voice and keepeth my Commandments shall see my face and know that I am because of this talk given during Co I truly I I I was able to hear him I was able to hear the voice of Jesus Christ in the Holy scriptures this is the this is the time the the the phase of my life where I was in the process of true repentance of of casting off all of those worldly influences it was April of 2020 where our youngest daughter Sophia was born it was in April ail of 2020 where this talk was given and I felt the spirit testify to me this is a hinge point in the church this we are approaching the most glorious event ever witnessed by mankind the second coming of Jesus Christ when he comes again he is going to come with power and great Glory quote we live in in the day that our forefathers have awaited with anxious expectation we have front row seats to witness live what the prophet Nephi saw only in Vision that the power of the Lamb of God would descend upon the Covenant people of the Lord who were scattered upon all the face of the Earth and they were armed with righteousness and the p and with the power of God in great Glory you my brothers and sisters are among those men women and children whom Nephi saw think of that end of quote because of this talk when I have had trials in my life I remember this and I seek to be still and feel his spirit and know that his spirit is his voice I seek to hear him in my most desperate circumstances and I have since April of 2020 I have felt the Holy Ghost come upon me I have heard the voice of the savior here and I know that he's there and he loves us and he's perfect and he wants us to become like him president Nelson says quote now my dear brothers and sisters consider the fact that in these three instances just mentioned he was quoting the times when the father introduced the son just before the father introduced the son the people involved were in a state of fear and to some degree desperation the apostles were afraid when they saw Jesus encircled by a cloud on the Mount of transfiguration the Nephites were afraid because they had been through destruction and darkness for several days Joseph Smith was in the grips of a force of Darkness just before the heavens opened our father knows that when we are surrounded by uncertainty and fear what will help us the very most is to hear his son because when we seek to hear truly hear his son we will be guided to know what to do in any circumstance I have felt the Holy Ghost witnessed to me that Jesus is the Christ and that President russem Nelson is his living Prophet on the earth I was so thrilled to hear the restoration of the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ a bicentennial proclamation to the world in this very talk after this talk was given I immediately passed that Bicentennial Proclamation out to uh a a neighbor family and uh it's just been it's just been such a reinforcing uh talk for My Life um I'm just so thrilled to be a member of the Lord's true church I testify that this talk on hearing Jesus Christ has blessed me in so many ways if you've made it this far thank you so much for listening I just want to Concluding Testimony close with my testimony of the living Prophet president Russell M Nelson I testify that he is a prophet of God I have witnessed I have received Witnesses of to my spirit that that is the truth the Holy Ghost has witnessed to me that he is the prophet on the Earth today the Lord has said what I have spoken I have spoken and though the heavens and the Earth pass away my word shall not pass away but shall all be fulfilled whether by my own voice or by the voice of my servants it is the same president Nelson is the Lord's servant upon the Earth just as Moses spoke with the Lord in the Tabernacle face to face as a man Converses with another so too I know president russem Nelson knows the Lord and has spoken with him face to face in this winding up scene preceding the second coming I testify that the words of President Nelson are true that the second coming is close that the Savior will come with great power and glory and in coming days we will witness the greatest manifestations of the savior's power I'm grateful to be led by a living prophet of God I am grateful to be in the only church built on the true foundation of Apostles and Prophets with Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone president Nelson turned one 100 years old today happy birthday president Nelson I will seek to emulate the teachings you have shared I will seek to follow our savior through your excellent example thank you for everything you are thank you for being our prophet in these days I testify to all those who are listening to this video that President Nelson is the Lord's Prophet this is the Church of Jesus Christ and so so much joy awaits all of us as we keep the Commandments of God we will be filled with joy as we seek to share our testimonies with others I just want to really quickly relate the principles of these 10 talks first I am so grateful to be a Latter-Day Saint in his church the Church of Jesus Christ I'm grateful to receive joy as a result of that I'm grateful to keep the Sabbath day and truly Delight in it it is true we are blessed with so much as we keep that commandment and others I'm grateful for the creation I'm grateful for his talk on nurturing marriage my marriage to Michelle is successful largely because of his counsel I'm grateful for the principle of Revelation which president president Nelson Has so powerfully testified of I'm grateful that he teaches us to be a peacemaker that helped me understand just how much Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace I'm grateful to find rest in overcoming the world and clinging to my covenants I rejoice in the priesthood keys that he holds and I'm so grateful to hear the voice of Jesus Christ as I seek his as I seek to be close to his spirit I Love The Gospel of Jesus Christ I know this is the true church I'm grateful for president Nelson he's a living prophet and uh I just look forward with great anticipation to the coming glorious days and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ amen so happy birthday president Nelson happy birthday for reaching 100 years old today God bless you brothers and sisters for your faith keep doing what you're doing keep living the gospel keep sharing it with all your with keep loving God with all your heart might mind and strength and you will stand blameless before him at the last day
