thought the game was at noon but it's obviously 11:30 I was at the vet with Banky boy but we are here now and we have a lot to get to because there's been tons of changes in the lineup as you can see right there it says Burton and goal brunt Bole scar Bolton Jones Ravon Ford Mendy fall and Captain Paul Mullen is starting up front with uh um with uh with mof excited to see this it's a 5 to and Mullen is going to get some minutes out there which is exciting uh to see and um Tuesday night football we cannot beat it so um smash a like on the video subscribe if you haven't uh get involved in you're laughing at brother about his arrival what he's gonna bring to the squad because invol this evening no no Josh isn't ready yet I mean he he's missed the whole of pre-season but we've had him in for say 10 days and um he's a very talented footballer there's work to be done with him with physically um but we just feel a player that talented is quite exciting to work with somebody like that and uh yeah we're looking forward to to seeing his development in the coming weeks and months looking at the team you've named tonight I think we're pretty clear on who the three center backs are going to be and the two Strikers but the five in Midfield gives us a few permutations to think about four Wing backs really in there how are they likely to set up yeah I mean it's um obviously Andy can and George Evans being out were a bit short in that department and we just took the decision to give everybody who needed a game a game if it looks a little bit unbalanced at times then you know we we will improve as the game goes on I'm sure but for is going to play on the right of a Midfield three James Jones is going to play in the holding role and seb's going to play on the left driving forward nice um so yeah I just want the night to to to be a really good workout for the lads who need football and uh um you know felt with 40 and Jacob it was so important that they got some game time tonight how near is George Evans to getting into the action against Phil he's getting closer um you a bit frustrating but you know he's nearly there but hopefully by the end of the week he'll be back in training Paul Marin starting tonight for the first time this season captaining the side what kind of aspiration have you got on how many minutes he might play yeah we just assess him as he goes along I mean you know just Mo's needs tonight he he needs uh you know a good workout a good tempo of of a game so that's what we're looking to create so all the lads get that physical benefit from from it so yeah it's uh important for Paul because he's had the cameos Off the Bench he's training well but he needed to start tonight three center backs in the side highly experienced players as we've said who've not had the chance to play in the league Phil is it an opportunity perhaps for for one of those players to ask a question of you selector ahead of Birmingham maybe yeah of course that's um what it's all about but I think they're all good players but the lads in the team have been playing well Haven they so it's kind of uh you know most important that when they get their opportunity they're ready um and tonight will help on that way they don't have anything to prove to us because we know they're good players but equally um it's more about the physical benefit of the evening's game just finally a first chance for the fans to see moof file yeah uh Mo comes in um yeah important for him as well to to get a first taste of the atmosphere here and you get a feel for the pitch Etc and yeah looking forward to seeing him he's settling him well with the lads um you know we're integrating him into to the demands um of front players in our team and what we want for them but listen he's he's good at getting the box he makes good runs in that in and around the Penalty Box and um our job tonight is Supply the crosses for for mes and Mo and if we if we do I fancy those if you do it extremely fast and it doesn't interfere with the game The Ref will probably let it slide but yeah I think he's almost guaranteed to be fined because they have to prove a point you know you're not allowed to do it um so it's it's not that big a deal he's not he's not going to be worried about the fine and we'll just move on okay yeah I have to this I have to grab this yeah go go go so yeah so who do you want to start with um f let's start with f because it was the biggest comments about him then point Y um something I I liked him actually um I saw some good movement some good moments the shot he shouldn't have taken um I thought was interesting because he is supposed to to be able to score from that range and that distance so that kind of a little bit proves to me that he thinks he can um and is comfortable with that so again back to the idea that if he can do what we want him to do uh he's a bit of a hybrid between maybe being the holdup player but if you if he finds the ball outside the box um he's going to go straight attacking um which Palmer can't do and a couple of the moments on the ball a couple little flicks and some turns and movement were quite nice uh I don't expect the same fluidity and speed of other players because of his size and his height um but they looked nice a bit raw at the moment that we can see for obviously the short time but yeah he look maybe I'm right and in the future he'll be amazing maybe W techi is right that actually know he's slow lumbering and he's not going to get there we'll figure that out later um but I had said before or when he came in that this is probably going to be a couple of months before he's seriously in around the team because he his position and what we're asking of him he needs to know it well he needs to know everybody around him and what their job is what they're doing in order to play his job well so that's not a walk into position and he's not experienced from from higher leagues to come in with that knowledge so let's keep moving through let's keep moving through the team seem how you start up the front what do you think of melon tonight um good still needs time I think okay fair agree with 100% there come back into the Midfield um what do you think of our Midfield this evening messy but expected with the way we played where we put people um we put players out of position and took out that Midfield Mendy I thought was good um rev I thought was good you know good minutes um but promising for Mendy not quite ready yet but revs can shows that he can easily um play and then we get into def our back three what I took from our back three tonight was I'd quite happily bring them in at any stage for any one of our other back three which is a good thing in my opinion yeah I agree definitely um with Mendy he he looked comfortable um he didn't look like he was fighting for his place he didn't look nervous about the fact he might not be getting into the team I think Jones actually looked more nervous in that I better prove myself and a bit bit more Jagged when when he was doing stuff yep and we'll get into some of the um substitutions in a second Burton I thought was great as keeper you can't blame the goal against him that was on other Defenders um other than that he was absolutely Flawless tonight no fumbles nothing like pretty much again different style than AO AO doesn't come out as much Burton throws himself out there a lot faster a lot quicker just different styles um once again with Burton if we need him for a patch of games um I'd be comfortable with him as our number two y I agree so far from what I see yeah Y and what do we think of uh the subs that came on so obviously olle came on um max came olle came on up front Harry Ashfield came on up front um max came on and played in the Midfield um yes so okay so Palmer um again he's his movement is a lot better um and he's certainly putting the effort in he seems faster uh it was a later substitution so he came on with energy um yeah it was a 61 minute Mark that Palmer came on so he still had half an hour match on still at half an hour um but again he looked much better than the end of last year um so that's good Max in the mid Max in the Midfield what do you think of Max in the Midfield tonight did well he did his job um would would I want him there all the time no but if he had to be there all the time give him a couple of months could he do it maybe maybe and I've purposely left um young Harry till last uh because you know supporting young interesting yeah um he not F he he we've got on quality of squad we've got that if someone needs to fill in a different position and they they can do it and do it to a good standard clearly Dan you've played regularly at this level and the level above it in your time at at Plymouth arar how difficult has it been for you so far to to be restricted a little bit to your game time in League one yeah I mean it's it's frustrating on a on a personal level but the main thing is um the team's doing well um The Lads are keeping clean sheet so the main thing is is the team are winning and when they're winning like that you can't do anything but support and be there and if my time comes where um I'm needed then hopefully I'm prepared and ready to step in feeling fully settled at the club yeah yeah Lads are great um staff are great um fans have been welcoming as well so um it's easy to walk into um like a club like this because everyone makes you feel welcome so it's always a it's always a bonus because it's not always like that every Club um so it's credit to the gaffa and what what they've created here really as a Midlands man I'm sure you can bring a real insight into what a trip to St Andrews on a Monday night might be like what have you been telling the boys about um it's just going to be Rowdy good atmosphere obviously the the owners rivalry both being Americans um there's a bit of bragging rights there so but look all that aside for a player you just need to go and play your normal game and that's what we'll be saying to the lads look the atmosphere is the atmosphere go and enjoy it um and stick to the game plan and that's we won't deviate from that well play Dan that competitive feeling uh competitive game uh you know it beats training by a long way and um I think all the lads who came in tonight showed that attitude that you know they can train as much as you want but getting out here um you know and playing 190 minutes must have been a big boost for you yeah definitely um like I said training training's been good but it doesn't whatever you do in training it can't match up to a game so I'm sure like a few of the other Lads like I felt a little bit Rusty but that's to be expected really but um it was good to get 90 minutes in I felt I felt all right so um everyone got through it and there's more minutes in the tank for us so yeah absolutely and we've spoke about the depth in the squad and I think you've touched a few things you know the lads aren't conceding they playing well yeah but your time will come you know you're you're Season Pro uh and you've got to be ready for what that time winner does yeah yeah definitely um I think in in League one especially like having a good squad depth can pull you over the line like you see a lot of teams like the bigger teams they go for a sticky patch and stuff and sometimes the the squad depth can really help um and I think we got that which is a bit of an advantage on some of the other teams in the league so as long as
