used to rip him every single day at practice and then Flores he responded and I'll show you guys those quotes here in about 15 minutes or so around what Flores had to say um but it it just kind of seems like unnecessary drama in my opinion um you know Tua I think for the right reason was not the biggest fan of how Flores went about his ways with the Miami Dolphins but I thought it was kind of weird and unnecessary that Tua came out and said he's a terrible person he could have just said hey me and Brian Flores didn't have a good relationship um and then obviously I thrived under Mike McDaniel but I also thought the funniest part of that whole thing is um two was you know better play with McDaniel I understand that mcdel is an offensive head coach he's obviously played a much better you know under him being the head coach but he also added Tyreek Hill and Jay Wadd once Brian Flores left I think that was the biggest reason as you know those two of the best weapons in the National Football League but Z cool in the chat saying two is focusing on the past time to focus on the present and future yeah I mean he was asked about it so I I understand he probably had some strong thoughts about it but also I thought it was so interesting that every NFL media head every you look at ESPN Fox Sports it does not matter the publication they all backed to on this and not two biggest winners from training camp all the way until now it's definitely these two Tristan Jackson and Jaylen Naylor so you guys let me know who has impressed you more give me an eight for Tristan Sweep against the Cleveland Browns one great play uh play design and play call by Kevin okono as it was about a 10 yard gain um but trisan Jackson I didn't know he had that top end speed that he did I thought he was just a you know a very good receiver but he lacked that topend you know athletic ability that can't take you to being a true rotational piece in the NFL but Jackson I saw it I saw the speed I saw the pop I saw that kind of um that juice that he has with the football in his hand so um yeah Tristan Jackson playing his ass off this preseason but kayle saying I'm going to the games and disappointing injury news on Robert tonion want to show you guys that uh is especially on that first show and then Jackson we're going to be going into a whole hype segment talking about how he really you know got to the position he's at right now is he has been bouncing all over the Vikings Rost or Vikings team over the past couple of years then like I said mailbag so get those questions in there year was just a step in the process for them you know really maximizing their Super Bowl window which you would hope would be years two through five on JJ still his rookie deal and that's also why I was so disappointed in you know JJ getting hurt is I don't think it really impacts the Vikings this year but now he has to go through that rookie kysis his sophomore year but again it's going to be Jordan Addison we got an update on when he is possibly looking to return after he was carded off uh in joint practice versus Cleveland Browns TJ hackinson could he be returned in week seven we'll share with you guys uh the latest info on him and then we do have some concerning injury news around about around Robert tanion which I'll share with you guys here in a sec but then also later on today's show Brian Flores finally responded to Tua after he called called him a terrible person the other day and I thought Flores handled it perfectly you know it kind of seemed he was at peace at the situation so we'll share with you guys what Flores had the uh had to say on the second half of today's show so make sure you guys do stay tuned for that but hey we're also closing in on 28,000 around Jordan Addison here so this was coming in from Darren wolson um he said he is anticipating he will be back midweek leading into the Giants game but does not know if the ankle will be 100% And with high ankle injuries I'm assuming the Vikings will you know proceed very cautiously about bringing back Jordan Addison because of the fact that you have other guys in this wide receiver room who have stepped up and I think the Vikings are in a situation where you can not necessarily put Jordan Addison on ice but tell him you are not seeing the field until you are absolutely 110% healthy I would not risk roll Addison out there especially for week one against the Giants considering the Vikings the weeks after that have like the nine the Texans the Lions Packers Jets like you got some really good football teams where I would prefer Addison to be 100% against those guys rather than you know forcing the issue and playing against the Giants and potentially you know hindering himself you know for the rest of the season but kind of gets me to this point the Vikings can manage Jordan Addison missing time now if you would have asked me before the season or before a couple uh weeks ago like let's just say Addison you know following the DUI what if he gets suspended the whole year how do you feel about this wide receiver room I would have told you I'm very very concerned because heading into training camp heading into the preseason you necessarily just had Justin Jefferson and a bunch of no buies besides Jordan Addison but we saw two players really step up and play their best football of their career the past two weeks and the first guy being Tristan Jackson uh massive shout out to him uh really balled out in JJ McCarthy's debut against the Raiders as he connected with them for four receptions 100 yards in that game and also at a touchdown but specifically this P week against the Cleveland Browns still had four receptions 39 yards another touchdown and we see that big playability of Tristan Jackson I mean 19.9 yards per catch in two preseason games is fantastic and he also had that Jet Sweep which I loved we saw that burner we saw that extra juice that he can head to and you know honestly originally when I was thinking about Tristian Jackson and what type of receiver he is he was always a good route Runner but I always felt like he lacked that topend athletic ability but now this preseason I don't if he was putting in just extra work uh this P off season and he increased his speed but he looked fast he looked at he looked athletic and he looked like one of the more athletic players out there on the football field but speaking about speed how about Speedy Naylor man uh Jaylen Naylor has been awesome only had four receptions on very limited reps but you see the big playability him uh eclipsing 94 yards and having 23 and a half yards per catch and I thought the coolest part about Naylor um Jefferson was doing an interview uh this past week after practice and they asked him they were like hey Jefferson name some of the young receivers uh across the NFL or potentially on your roster that you think are going to take that next step he mentioned tank Dell he mentioned Malik neighbors and then he goes keep your eyes out on this guy speedy and then the person giving the interview said can we have his government name not just speedy and he obviously said no his name is Jaylen Naylor keep your eyes out on him he'll be turning heads and he actually said he's going to be a big part of this offense this upcoming season so even if Addison were to have to miss time I am more than comfortable with having uh Jaylen Naylor Tristan Jackson slot into that wide receiver 2 wide receiver three spot and I'll tell you what I feel a lot more comfortable about that group than I did a couple of weeks ago but what about TJ hackinson when is he going to return after this scumbag Kirby Joseph took out his knee um in one of the final games of the regular season last year also funny enough about Kirby Joseph he had the same move um in this play right here against Tyler higgy in the divisional round he ended up tearing his ACL as well my least favorite player in the National Football League is number 31 on the Detroit Lions but Darren wolson had an update around TJ Hockinson saying watching Hockinson off to the side on Monday looked a little hesitant at times a little bit more than a week or two ago I think the bottom line on Hockinson after the buy does that mean like late October early November but it's still going to be a bit on TJ hackinson now I'm hoping for a week seven uh return as he is on pup list so he will be on that until at least week six but you know if they could somehow have you know hackinson out there for week seven I mean that would be awesome for the Vikings CU I thought originally it was going to be more weeks 12 week 13 around Thanksgiving time but if he could somehow be ready to go week seven it could be huge specifically for Sam darnold I think when you have a you know a sporadic quarterback which Sam darnold is you need that safety blanket cuz if he's making his reads it's most likely going to be number eight Justin Jefferson first read and then it's probably a quick off to you know jayen Naylor and then you have that safety blanket in TJ hackinson where he can take a three- yard flat or a two yard curl whatever it is he can turn that into let just say six seven yards just because of how Elite he is so having TJ hackinson back would be awesome but you know it would be specifically awesome for Sam darnold just to have that but we also got an injury update around another tight end and this was incredibly concerning this was coming in from Jud Z um Works to score uh score North very tapped in Vikings beat reporter but he said Heath tanion got a good chance here but this to me signifies that his body just or might just be done it's a phenomenally tough sport he's a big guy he's obviously taking a pounding I wonder if this is the end of the road here I don't see a path here I'll tell you what when I read this quote from Jud I was one incredible concerned but also too to me this was new information I don't know if I've just been closed off on the Robert tanion injury news over the last couple of weeks but I thought he was having a great training camp and great OTA period we heard Alec Lewis Rave about him Rave Rave Rave about him and his performance during OTAs we saw JJ McCarthy connect with him on a couple of deep balls over the middle of the field during training camp and he actually had a good preseason run and now with him potentially having to retire before the season started I mean that's just concern to me and it's also you know new information again maybe I've just been closed off to the Robert tunan news but that was just you know news to me but hey if you guys want the Vikes to be healthy this season I know I ask you guys to do a lot here on run your game all right let's talk about the drama around the Minnesota Vikings Brian Flores he had his press conference yesterday and you knew the first question was going to be asked was about what Tua said about him this is what Flo had to say he said I'm genuinely happy for this for the success that Tua has had and I really wish him nothing but the best player relationships are very important to me look I'm human that hit me in a way that I wouldn't say was positive I've got to use that and say how can I grow from that how can I be better I'm always going to correct mistakes I'm always going to have a high standard reflecting on the relationship there's things that I could do better and I've grown in that and just listening to Flora's talk about this Tu a situation he really seemed unbothered like obviously he was you know concerned about um or not concerned obviously he was going to get asked about what Tua said about him as Tua called him a terrible person I'm sure Flora is was just sitting at home with his family and he saw that kind of notification pop up on his phone as it went went semi viral everywhere about what Tua had to say about him but he seemed unbothered he didn't really seemed worried about it and you know the one thing that I loved during this press conference was actually Josh matelis and Harrison Phillips well he was given this presser they came behind him and they both kind of flex their arms like this and kind of looked like flores's bodyguards showing support for the defensive coordinator which I think is awesome Kevin okono was also asked about it he said here in this Vikings organization Flores is loved and I will make this note if you want Spin Zone this in a positive way for the Minnesota Vikings maybe two his comments could keep Brian flores's defensive coordinator here for a couple of years like I think if the Vikings defense has a top 10 year like I am expecting they will I'm assuming Flores will get some interviews but let's just say that these owners are looking at the comments Tua just made and saying to themselves do we really want to bring in that noise and bringing that guy into our organization maybe it keeps him in Minnesota for a little while longer but my final thoughts on this and then we're done talking about the Tua situation here on the channel I don't think this was a big deal I honestly don't really have a problem with what Tua said that's just him opin or his opinion and I'm cool with that I just thought it was weird and unnecessary out of Tua like I thought he could have just handled it as hey you know what me and Brian Flores we didn't really have a good relationship but I love my man Mike McDaniel and turn it into more of a positive story around how McDaniels had you know has upped his game instead of just bashing Brian Flores and just turning into you know calling him a terrible person like those are fighting words from Tua so you know final thoughts there not a big deal it's just kind of weird and you know unnecessary out of the Dolphins quarterback but let's show Brian Flores some love here as he's clearly loved in the uh organization here in Minnesota so give me a skull drafted ahead of 18 besides Justin Jefferson if I'm going non viiking favorite wide receiver in the league uh non viiking favorite wide receiver I'm going to go somebody in the AFC actually no I it's has had one of the best receiving years in NFL history so I go I'll go Cup on that but I'm also I'm also a sneaky big Rams fan I just I just love the way the Rams are run I'm I'm I'm a big Rams guy I'm I'm I'm big Rams guy if I had to choose any team if I had to choose any team besides the Vikes I hate choosing an NFC team but it is probably the Rings I know I know I know I know do you think we're making the playoffs yes 100% got to get a lucky here we got to get lucky all righty let's dive into trisan Jackson here um and yeah let's talk about him Tristian Jackson has been on a different level this preseason what's going on guys welcome in the Vikings Now by Chad Sports my name is Patrick seatman and coming up on today's show I wanted to do a deep dive into number eight Tristan Jackson is if I had to pick my biggest winner from the preseason it's either him or Jaylen Naylor which we'll also talk about here on today's show but before we dive into that guys I was looking at the analytics here at chat sports and I was com I was scrolling across our Bears Channel and I saw they got 549 likes on their video yest yesterday can we beat that can we get to 550 likes I would really appreciate it but free and easy way to help out the show just hit that thumbs up icon let's talk about Tristian Jackson as you know like I just said he is one of the biggest winners for the Vikings during the preseason session and here is um total stats having seven receptions 139 yards two touchdowns 19.9 uh yards per catch had that sweet um uh streak route that Justin Jefferson or that just Jefferson JJ McCarthy threw him in the first preseason game where he just smoked the DB um the one only negative I will say from Jackson from the preseason was JJ McCarthy's interception um went back and looked at the film on that and somebody broke it down he was supposed to really cut off that route but he ended up uh you know obviously taking it more up field ended up being a pick but he also had a nasty back shoulder against the Cleveland Browns uh the other day it was just a filthy filthy catch um literally it was trishan Jackson just one-on-one from about the 20 yard line Nick Mullen put it right on his left shoulder he just turned around real quick got the toe tap in it was a freaky catch and that's the one thing about Tristan Jackson I never really thought he had was the 5050 balls um obviously he was always a good route Runner he could always create you know separation in a phone booth but I didn't think he had the 50-50 uh you know balls that he's catching at a pretty high level and also I didn't know he had the top end speed he caught a Jet Sweep against the um Cleveland Browns and he almost took it to the house but he got tripped up but we saw that Elite athleticism we saw that top end speed and it's something I never really thought he had and listen Jackson and he's got a really interesting career path and I'll show you guys that more in depth here in a second but he was undrafted out of Syracuse uh he's got pretty good size on him he's a 6 foot one wide receiver he plays with a a sense of physicality you know and his 190 PB frame helps that but how he fared out at the NFL scouting combine he ran a 4.5 second 40 yard dash his vert was 36 in um so again he's not like a top top tier athlete but he is still a very good athlete at that receiver spot and we saw that finally come to fruition during the preseason and you know my favorite thing on Jackson is and why I will always always always root for this guy is just what he has gone through in the NFL and you know he's practice squads being on the roster we'll show you guys that whole nine here in a little bit but you know this was also a guy who necessarily didn't really light it up in college I mean he only had just over 1,200 receiving yards in his entire collegiate career 86 receptions 12 touchdowns 14.2 yards per catch and if you're putting up these numbers at Syracuse big reason why he went undrafted but I went back and I was watching his college tape and he plays just the same like um you know just a very smooth route Runner doesn't really try to do too much he's not going to really jump off the screen in my opinion he he kind of reminds me of just a faster KJ osbo like he's just got a little more juice I think he's honestly probably got a little bit better hands as we saw drops being an issue for KJ this past season but I do want to point this out why am I such a big supporter in Tristan Jackson is because of his timeline with the Vikings so he originally was a part of the um Rams practice squad and then in 2021 he was brought to the Vikings practice squad then in 22 he signed a future SL Reserve contract and then that was waved resigned to the practice squad and then he was waved again resigned to the practice squad and then finally last year finally he was brought to the active roster but then he was waved again and resigned to the practice squad and then again in 2024 he was signed to a future Reserve contract and now finally to where we are right now as he is looking to make the 53 man roster but any NFL player just honestly anybody in life who has had a tougher career path is somebody I will always root for and I will always root for Jackson I I remember actually last year right around this time I kept seeing him just pop up my uh pop up on my Twitter just making a couple viral plays here and there and I was like keep your eyes on that Tristan Jackson guy and actually uh will Scott who used to work here at chat sports went to Syracuse and I remember asking him about Tristan Jackson and Will was like oh I loved him he was a super good guy um just a Class Act um when he was uh playing his collegiate ball uh at Syracuse so he's always a guy I'll root for and I'll tell you what he is going to be a lock to make this roster um I think he's honestly moved ahead of guys like Brandon pow on this depth chart but let's just say the Vikings do keep five wide receivers it's going to be Jefferson Addison Naylor I think they're all locks and I think Tristan Jackson is by far that fourth receiver and then you got guys like pal Jon Jones you know the Thomas Trent sherfield duking it out for that fifth spot and you know I do want to connect this back to Jordan Addison here um I am a believer that Addison will turn it around fing is two you know problems he's had off the field over the last two off Seasons I do believe he will turn it around but the Vikings also need an insurance plan they can't just Bank on Addison obviously turning around they need to have a plan in place for just in case something happens you know maybe during the year or next off season they have an ability to move off him and it's not like it's huge drop off from the top two wide receivers to your third guy and having a guy like Tristian Jackson step up having a guy like Jaylen Naylor Step Up is so huge for that so you know maybe the bikes even if they decide to trade Addison for maybe a future second round pick or whatever it may be it's nice to have those two behind uh you know top two guys on this team you guys let me know will Tristan Jackson make the 53 man roster give me a y for yes or an N for no down below in the comments section I think this is a lock I think there's no doubt uh that he do or there's no chance that he the purple and gold uh Jefferson in podcast recently was asked about some young receivers across the National Football League and he actually listed Jaylen Naylor as a guy that he believes is going to break out he also said Malik neighbors and Tink D in that conversation as well but Naylor's looked AP part in the preseason and we always knew we had that big play ability just because of his natural speed and you know averaging 23.5 yards per catch in the preseason he's only had I think it was in total four drives and he's had 94 yards on four catches we see that pop we see that Elite athleticism we see that which as he's always been a fluid route Runner it's just always came down to injuries with him so far and you know frankly he hasn't really had that much of an opportunity like you've always had KJ Osborne in that third wide receiver spot and you always had you know some combination of either Jefferson and uh thean or Jefferson and Addison so even if KJ hopped up the wide receiver too you know there still wasn't a you know room for the wide receiver three spot but I think he's a locked to be that uh for the Vikings this upcoming year but it's going to come down the him staying healthy and you know he's dealt with hamstrings he's dealt with concussions over the past two seasons as he this was uh every single time he was actually on the injury report for the Vikings over the last two years but he had this hamstring in 22 it came back in 23 sidelining him for multiple weeks and he was actually sidelined for the entire or for the last four games last season with a concussion now I don't want to say like the Vikings need need jayen nayor to stay healthy because even if he you know knock on wood something does happen to him and he misses the whole year like it it's it's not going to completely lose this season for Minnesota but if they want to be a top 10 top seven offense and let's just say sam darnold does end up popping and he ends up playing his best ball in his career he's ends up being like a top 15ish quarterback this upcoming season having Jaylen Naylor healthy is huge because let's just say Addison either he gets suspended or that high ankle injury is something more severe and then Naylor gets hurt are you going to roll out Jefferson Tristan Jackson and then like Brandon Powell as your main three wide receivers you know that group's looking a little more dicey so Naylor stay healthy and you're finally going to have that breakout year for the purple and gold but I'll ask you guys this as these two have definitely been the biggest I still think you know them are the Dolphins are probably my top groups in the league I would probably go Bengals one uh just because of Chase and Higgins I just think they're they're just you know the best duo in the league by far probably go Dolphins at two um I still think the Vikes have a better group than the Bears um just because even though I think DJ Moore is great he's in that 10 to 15th best receiver range or maybe you think he's higher at like that seven Mark but I just think Justin Jefferson how good he is and how good is and also with now Naylor and Jackson like I just still think it's a better overall group here um you know obviously the ners if I comes back you got to think about them I think they're Fringe top three top five right now it's just going to come down to Addison if he takes that jump in year two that would be massive um so yeah skull Nation also saying the Eagles yeah Eagles are definitely up there as well um yeah they're they're probably top five top six um no no doubt top 10 but I still think they have the best group in their division um ex's VI and saying Keenan looks one biscuit away from being a tight end yeah I I saw those jokes uh Keenan Allen is still very good at football uh he had a great day at practice yesterday Landon yeah Texans are good but they don't have a real crazy good number one yeah that's the thing it's kind of like whatever you prefer like do you prefer having a you know three solid number two wide iers would you rather have you know the best one in the league in Jefferson and a really good two in the league in football team as well let's just say you're 05 hit the by week and then you got the Lions the Rams easily could be 0 and7 then you got teams like the Colts at home that's a winnable game in Jacksonville winnable game there as well at home versus the Titans so it eases up a little bit but then you still got the Bears twice you got the Lions again you got the Packers again you got the Falcons you got the Cardinals you got the Seahawks in Seattle like week week one is going to be it it is a very intense game for the Minnesota Vikings moving forward Aiden predict the record uh if I'm slamming a bunch of purple Co a and living up uh to the hype of the Vikings I'll say 10 and seven but more realistically they'll be around 500 um but again we got a we got a ton of good players on this team like and we got a great coaching staff which I don't think people value enough when predicting teams for the year is just how good of a coaching staff you have we got one of the best defensive Minds got one of the best offensive minds I think they'll be able to figure it out but let's have into this mailbag hash Vikings or Super Chat to get on the show what's going on guys welcome second then also it's mailbag time here on the channel where I answer questions from you Vikings fans it is my favorite part of covering the Minnesota Vikings just chopping it up with you guys and talking about this football team but hey if you guys are pumped up for for the regular season I want to make the comment section look like US Bank Stadium on game day give me a skull down below spam it type it 100 times whatever you need to do but if you guys are pumped up for the regular season give me a skull down below now the Vikings got some great news around Ivan Pace Jr the other day as it is official Kevin oconnell said it and Brian Flores he will be wearing the green dot on defense this upcoming year and what a cool just story for Ivan Pace I mean this was a man who was the udfa last year went undrafted after having 21 a half tackles for loss his senior year at Cincinnati didn't get drafted signed with the Minnesota Vikings ended up being a starter in his rookie year and he filled it up uh in the stat sheet and now he gets to be calling the plays for the defense I think it's one of the cooler you know stories we have here in the NFL but how did he great out last year and how did he perform um as you know I I do think Will Anderson deserved to get defensive rookie of the year but Ivan Pace was a close second now PFF graded him out as a 77.1 overall run defense at 61.2 pass rush fantastic at 78 as Flores you know used him as a weapon in that department last season and actually his coverage grade at 77.7 Fantastic uh for Pace considering he is an undersized linebacker but he also had three sacks 70 tackles also had in that Infamous 3 to zero win over the Raiders last year and I think he you know joins a I I wouldn't say loaded linebacker group as obviously you know there's not a lot of depth at this position with grar Hill who I like don't love then asamoa you know he is what he is at this point but I'll tell you what he's joining Blake Cashman and this Duo this next season is going to be awesome it's going to remind me a little bit of Kobe and Shaq as uh funny enough Blake Cashman the best user linebacker in Madden if you guys play Madden use Blake Cashman he's super fast super tall um just a little you know tidbit on him there but he's been looking great too uh this preseason and he actually is fully you know healthy right now and uh you know he was awesome for the Texans this past season PFF graded him out very high 83.7 overall 84.7 in run defense grade pass rush solid as well 73.5 coverage 7 5.4 had 68 tackles last year had one interception three pass breakups he actually found the end zone once last season as well and he also had um two sacks last year for the Texans and favorite part about Cashman grew up in Minneapolis played his uh Collegiate football for the Golden Gophers and now he's going to be playing for his uh kid or for the team he grew up rooting for in the Minnesota Vikings and I don't think this is a hot take um the Vikings defense will be Undisputed top 10 in the NFL this next season and I think if you went and asked the common fan what do you think about the Vikings defense it would probably just say it's all right they got a good group they got a good decorator but I don't think anybody is seriously talking about the Vikings defense being one of the better groups in the NFL you just look at the talent on that side of the football like Gard a true top Edge rusher van GLE one of the better or one of the most versatile players in the NFL hopefully Dallas Turner ends up popping so you'd be able to get to the quarterback and then you got two really good linebackers in Pati uh pace and Cashman and now you look at this cornerback Group which was a major concern but if you roll out Byron Murphy and Stefon Gilmore and sha Griffin as your three you're feeling okay with that and then you also have one of the better safety rooms in the NFL and then on top of all that Brian Flores is your defensive coordinator one of the smartest defensive Minds in the entire league I think it's going to be Undisputed top 10 and I could potentially see it being top five let's show love to our defensive coordinator here as you know there's some drama around him and Tua going on over the last week or so so let's show him our support as Vikings fans give me a skull flow excuse me down below in the question coming in from Landon Turk shout out to Landon saying is there any potential breakout interior line players on the Vikings great question there Landon uh first name I think of is Levi Drake Rodriguez seventh round pick um he's popped in a couple games in the preseason he plays with Swagger he plays with you know this intensity that I love from the dline and after every single play he is making noise like even if he is just semi involved on a play but it's positive for the defense he is getting up giving a let's go he just plays with that Swagger plays with that confidence but a guy that will for sure be getting rotational reps this year keep your eyes out on Jerry Tillery hasn't worked out in the NFL so far in his career but he was a former first round pick Vikings D line coach is raving about him so far saying he is in just phenomenal shape so I'd probably go Tillery or Levi Drake Rodriguez jpsi saying think Ed Ingram and Brandon Powell have a shot at being cut Ingram can be upgraded by just about all of our backup guards and I believe PO is our sixth best wide receiver at this point l well um yeah great Point EG Ingram has been terrible in the preseason so far he's got one of the worst PFF grades out of anybody who has gotten any sort of reps uh in the NFL preseason I think there's not really too good of a chance he has cut but it would not Shock Me In terms of Brandon Powell I think he will be cut and you know it was funny enough like if I would have thrown up the Vikings wide receiver depth chart a month ago Brandon pow was slated in there the B wide receiver three but after Naylor Jackson them playing some great ball in the preseason even a g uh even a guy like Jan Jones really up in his game uh udfa out of Maryland like he's ahead of you know PA on the depth chart so I think PA's got a better chance of getting cut don't think don't think Ed Ingram will but you know good question on that J jalopy I think I pronoun it whatever but moving on to zcool here saying how many wide receivers do we keep on the active roster with the turnup of the wide receivers other than Jefferson and Addison who's your prediction to being cut so we can just take a room uh look at the room right here um I'm assuming they're either going to keep five or six but I'm leaning more towards the number five Jefferson Addison one two they're making it Naylor's making it Tristan Jackson's making it and then if you're fighting for that fifth spot here like I think it's a three-man race between pal Trent sherfield and Jon Jones I think they would lean Jon Jones they gave him $250 or $250,000 guaranteed when they signed him as a udfa I think they would lean him over Powell it just depends how they value Tren sherfield because obviously he not the receiving threat um in comparison to some of these other guys but he's also a great run blocker so I'm guessing they're keeping five and I'm guessing Jon Jones gets that um fifth spot so Viking are probably going to cut two solid football players in pow and Trent sherfield but X's vibe in saying could Jackson be in contention for the wide receiver three spot in my opinion he's outperformed him talking about Jaylen Naylor um I think they would still lean Naylor um yeah Tristan Jackson I'm thinking they would still lean nailor on this um but Jackson's played his ass off and I I I just think Naylor it's kind of like a pecking order thing where it's like he's been you know working real hard in the organization you know he was a six round pick where Jackson was undrafted and I'm sure that necessarily doesn't mean you know too much but I think this organization believes in Naylor as a wide receiver three and I actually feel like he is a better fit next to Addison and Jefferson as he does have top end speed Jackson necessarily doesn't have that as he's more of that KJ Osborne build but and plus Naylor could be an absolute dog in the slot as well where I don't know if Tristan Jackson really has that ability so I would still lean Naylor but appreciate the question but X's vibing now coming in saying Ingram is trash but pow would be a good keeper I'd be surprised if he was on the roster in some capacity this was also $5 Super Chat shout out to X for sending this in um I I just think they're going to carry out this Ed Ingram's experience for as long as they can I really don't think they would cut him I understand his PFF grades have been terrible but again PFF is not the Bible don't take it you know you're I'm saying you should take it with a grain of salt there but I think he's still going to be on the team again still have Dalton maybe he ends up starting at Right Guard you move Ingram to the bench but in terms of pow I think he would be a good keeper and maybe I'm overreacting the preseason a little bit here um but he has had a couple bad drops in training camp and also in the preseason so I just I I just don't know what the Vikings thought process is here are we going to keep Brandon Powell as a wide receiver four five as he is the veteran he can step in and you know he's going to at least be serviceable or do you take a chance on Jan Jones where he's got more potential um than Brandon pow but maybe he doesn't step in and do as good as a job you know right away than he would but that's definitely going to be very interesting and you know it's something to watch during the last preseason game versus the Eagles but it's Johnny coming in saying little late the chat but do you believe hackinson will be on the field week one uh no he will not be on the field week one uh I wish um but yeah I mean he's coming off a torn ACL and he suffered that in what we 15 I mean it would take a it would take heroic events out of hock Hockinson to be ready week one but uh yeah there's just there's there's just no way there uh but appreciate the question John Rocky coming in saying how many QBs will they keep I think they're going to keep two on the final 53 man roster and darnold and Nick Mullen then I'm assuming they're going to just keep jiren Hall in the practice squad maybe they you know obviously you can Elevate three for game day but maybe they keep three on the final 53 man roster but I'd probably lean towards no on that but the purple filth coming in saying do you think we're taking ourselves serious enough to start talking Super Bowl um I mean I'm sure the Vikings are taking themselves serious enough I'm sure that's their goal in the organization is to win the Super Bowl um terms of like us as fans taking them serious enough as a Super Bowl Contender I mean they got a really good team like 53 man roster I think it's still you know in the top half of the NF NL but it's a quarterback driven league and when you have Sam Donald slated in as your starting quarterback nobody is even going to sniff the idea of the Vikings being a Super Bowl Contender let just say Donald goes out there goes three and one and he lights it up and the Vikings have wins over the let's just say Giants Texans and Packers and they're three and one and you're like damn the Vikings might be a really good team with Sam darnold uh playing some of his best ball of his career then maybe we'll start talking about it but for right now I don't think so so but what say you guys on this question over under 6 and A2 wins for the Vikings this season that's what the bookmakers out west put it as so you guys let me know your thoughts down below I think this is an easy over there's too much talent on this team but you guys let me know your thoughts in the comments
