30 Pokémon for the rest of the game somewhere in these 30 Pokémon are six that can beat the Elite [Music] 4 back you guys have no idea what I've been through the past 3 weeks or whatever okay there's a lot to update you guys on the amount of cooking and planning and listen climbing update holy sh it's climbing update time guys I climbed my first V3 hello last week I did it I did it and then another one and then another one that same day because the first one gave me so much confidence with that out of the way one more thing really important okay and part of the reason that I didn't stream even though I've been done for a bit now and um is we it's it's time's a flat circle and history repeats itself the first time blah blah blah blah blah we will we will be beginning we will be ending run and Bun the same way that we begun run and Bun if you guys remember uh my internet's okay uh I'm pretty sure I know what it is um but it's it's not fixed yet my router is going to be randomly resetting and shutting down for like 5 to 10 minutes every 1 to 2 hours about is the frequency that we're at right now um so when that happens you know stream's going to go down don't panic I'll be back um I will not be doing the E4 until I fix this uh but for now we got to make D with that being said I have cooked every single fight left in the game I'm done I did it all off stream because you know I might as well if my internet's not working um I'm done there are 16 fights left you might notice that that's a bit of a low number and the reason for that I'm not going to be spoiling too much of the E4 in fact I'll be keeping that a big secret um but what I can reveal is that we don't need a focus sash or any of the resist berries to beat the Elite 4 which means we don't need to do any of the route 123 optionals and we can skip the final optional on one sorry none of the 116 optionals and we can skip the final optional on 123 which is really annoying which brings the amount of fights that we have to do down by quite a bit um I have all my notes for all my fights ready here I started using obsidian and holy do I suck at using markdown these lists are terrible these notes are terrible I'm going to have to like go over them again as we go and basically recook the whole fight I basically only wrote down which Pokemon I need for each fight and like some notes on what they need um but we'll we'll we'll get there I'm just going to rely on my past self to you know anyway new glasses no no just not I mean I got new glasses like two and a half years ago maybe you watched a video anyway um okay I haven't done pooku in three weeks I didn't do any of them off stream so this is going to be a disaster all right rock type from jodo start out with a little Shuckle some housekeeping real quick so I so basically in preparation for this I had dererk go through all my heart scales to confirm how many I have for the Elite 4 right how many are available so they went through the vods and checked them all off poas and here's the thing we may have missed a heart skill now now to be fair I'm pretty sure when I was in Aqua Hideout i w I had one scale right so having this couldn't have saved Heracross cuz I would have needed three for the nature for the nature change the good news is we probably would have used this at some point and it turns out we didn't need it like we probably would have wasted it on some dumb [ __ ] so now we have it which is really good because let me level up Crest real quick here news lock content please notice do not need moonblast but I can retach psycho shift but I know I don't need moonblast and I'm just going to forget to teach psycho shift for one of the fights where I need it so I'm just not going to teach moonblast the good thing about missing this heart scale is I have the exact amount of Heart Scales I need for my E4 cook like I cooked up the E4 without really looking at the heart scales the goat is finally back and checked back how many I have and I had the exact amount I needed for the things I wanted to do can somebody explain what heart scales are so important so heart scales are a limited resource in this game there's only a set amount of them and you use them specifically for three things you can use one heart scale to maximize one of your Pokemon's IVs you can use a heart scale to retach one of its moves or um you can use three heart scales to change a Pokemon's nature I think I this trainer might be unfought I think we're ready to go into Victory Road to fight Julie and Diane dude I'm so nervous what if I up this fight second one coming back is I just want to beat one fight after I come back God [Music] imagine we're back baby welcome back to run and Bun all right here is the situation so regular septi is about to Mega Evolve but it Cals with regular septile it doesn't see any kills on Aerodactyl currently um it sees because we're wearing assault vest on basul Legion at this HP it can see only exactly a kill with energy ball and not with dragon pulse we're one HP above the minimum Dragon the maximum Dragon pulse range wearing assault vest the reason this is important is because we also need to be at an HP where goal isopod sees a kill with first impression because first impression is a priority move that means gospod will go for it um because it's seen as a fast kill which has a higher priority than a slow kill which is what currently sees on Aerodactyl this means that we've locked for turn one exactly septile into energy ball on slot one and exactly gabot into first impression on slot [Music] one and these two moves can be perfectly tanked even after Mega Evolution by exactly salazzle which is really really surprising because I don't think salazzle has ever in her life switched into two moves at the same time so she goes here and then Mega arrow is actually slower than Mega septile so we're going to take this turn because we're untargeted we're going to set up a Tailwind please tell me I did this right I saw the sep Alex and thought there was no first impression coming [Music] I'm so nervous okay okay that's fine that doesn't matter Tailwind Berry I think this is FES there's the first impression coming out from gopod yes so this has a select Berry which normally would be worrying because it would give it Dynamic speed to outspeed salazzle without ever activating emergency exit TripIt would have exactly activated emergency exit there yeah that's true but who cares pretty sure burn is fine um I think we can flamethrower here and then dual Wing beat here this is going to be fun me doing these fights uh is going to exactly as I do them live people are going to point out all my um inaccuracies in the lines but it's fine okay FL for with Stone Edge [Music] um because stealth rocks on first turnout can go before slow kill this can be stealth rocks the chance for Stone Edge is a little bit higher than usual because of high crit AI here regardless we're always switching to dragapult here who tank Stone Edge crit he kills with expert Bel Draco meteor okay scary scary we are in fiction territory now remember this means no rocks [Music] pretty sure this is still always Tauros by the [Music] [Music] way be talking okay so the problem now is that this can be Zen headbutt just as likely is throat chop or Shifu lives Zen head but crit the problem is it can make it can make it so that electros will use a random move on the switch over to ursal Luna which is what opens up the fiction [Music] line it's fine okay we're fine I think let's see yeah we're completely fun it's never flamethrower on the switch and never knockoff it can be sludge bomb but that's completely fine so I have Thunder Punch which shows a fast kill to Gyarados and I have surging strikes which shows a a fast kill to Blazin so AI has to go exactly to electros [Music] here this is really important yeah we want the electros to die before Gyarados comes out so that we can set up the kill on the [Music] Blazin okay show me discharge ideally me when I'm a kind of call it just I don't know perfect and burned a rock smash does exactly enough damage here precisely gut boosted rock smash for 23% this can never be knockof cuz we're not wearing an item he has to always EXA [Music] flamethrower so now because it's always flamethrower this um rock smash defense drop perfectly puts electros into kill range of choice band bascu Legion who perfectly exactly always baits Gyarados for the perfect exact move that we need the setup took me a long while to find um so it can never be knockoff uh we're poisoned so that flamethrower cannot burn us all good we just need to always be dead to power whip minimum roll as well we already are this is just so that Gyarados can't Dragon Dance we need to show him a fast kill [Music] beautiful beautiful and this should give us always exactly power whip perfect and now un boosted volt switch always KS this and we get our free choice against the Blazin and this Mega blazak yeah basically um was it Bach who put it in chat earlier if you leave this Blazin unchecked for just one turn you basically always wipe um CU it's speed boost and it does a ton of damage luckily choice scarf or uh choice scarf or Shifu just outspeeds and kills it and it doesn't have protection even if it did we we'd be unseen fist actually like if you just switch for one turn you have no chance of ever outspeeding and killing this this is the last blaz again we have to face why is this blaz again so much worse than the rest dude every blaz again that you face in this game is horrible and you face like seven of them there's like one in like every single gym there's theing kusin on Broly um there's the blazak in Norman's gym there's one in Flannery's gym that's really horrible there is the one for on Rivals obviously there's one in Winona's gem that one's okay [Music] anyway there's the one that we caught that sucked
