HBCU Move-In Day Vlog 2024 | Freshman Year at Tennessee State University | Hale Hall

[Music] hey y'all welcome or welcome back to another video today is my official college movement vlog I'm super duper excited I'm going to move in tomorrow it is Sunday August 11th I'm moving in tomorrow August 12th but we're going to make our way to Nashville right now it's like 12 we going to Nashville today and then we're going to spend the night at a hotel and then we're going to move in tomorrow I just went and got my car wash I've been packing all morning so like I'm pretty much ready to go I just have to pack a few more things like my overnight bag and stuff but I'm pretty much all packed up and ready to go and I'm excited like but I just wanted to start the Vlog because I know after we get down there it's probably going to get pretty hectic and I might not be talking as much I'm going try to make this a good video because I love watching moving Vlogs like they're my favorite Vlogs to watch Ever so I'm going try to record everything for y'all so I'mma show y'all I think I'm going show yall when I start packing up my car because that's what I'm about to start doing right now and then once my dad gets home we going to be on the road if youve never watched any of my other videos I'm going to Tennessee State University in Nashville Tennessee I'm moving in tomorrow I'm going to be a freshman so yeah we're packing up my stuff all this stuff got to fit how are you feeling Mom I'm feeling lay down how are you feeling Dad going to go and take over to 615 he want to be me so bad and then this my car y'all I already packed up these are all my clothes my purses and stuff so yeah but it's nothing else can in this trunk cuz the trunk a little small so all my stuff not that all that we finally got the cars all packed up for a second it was looking like it wasn't fit so now I'm just trying to walk around my room make sure I didn't leave anything close my doors by bed there's been so many good memories on this bed so many YouTube videos sad sad but not really cuz I'm excited so I'm going to go put my shoes on and get ready to hit the road it's about 3:45 right now I'm from Atlanta so the drive from Atlanta to Nashville is about 4 hours so we finally in the car y'all period I'm going record though like [Music] so we are about an hour a little bit less than an hour away from Nashville we stopped where oh Charlie going to get us something to eat and then we're going to head back to our hotel or whatever and we going to be in for the night if I put my trust in you what will you do [Music] you okay so we made it to the hotel and I'm on my laptop right now that's really all is going on right now the big day is tomorrow so I'mma come back tomorrow and when we're like leaving and checking in and all that good stuff so good morning y'all it is officially move in day I just showered and got dressed it's currently 8:00 a.m. I got a little early start because you know like it's a time change so I went to sleep super early cuz I was tired and I woke up early as well I don't move in until 2: like I said but we're probably going to leave earlier so that we can go like check in and stuff because I be watching moving videos and the lines be long the check-in process do not be smooth it be so many people so I'm going to try to get there before to and I'm going to be back to Y like when we're on the way there or something because I don't think we're leaving like right now I'm so excited to decorate my dorm I've been ready to go to college since I was in like middle school so I've been thinking about this dorm forever okay guys so I'm on my phone right now because I left my camera in the room cuz I thought was just going to eat but we're actually at the store now cuz we went to eat and we're going to the store right we went to the store right after I just got some groceries for my fridge and my dram and stuff we're about to head to the school right after we leave here we was going to wait but the line is stupid long like I saw somebody send me a picture it's so many people in that line we made it to the school but I don't have my camera I wish I brought it but we just waiting right now I don't really know what we're waiting for but I'm just sitting here this is what's happening right now I guess I got to wait for them like tell me I can come and then they going to drive me to where the dorm it or something the Shen seems pretty smooth because like oh I'm not staying in the Freshman dorm and so the lines are for like the Freshman dorms but my movement is at two and it's 12:48 so I think we going to be doing good on time we made it to the dorm this my dorm y'all yeah have to go in first to get my student ID and my key and all that good stuff we met up back up with my dad so I'm going to grab my camera and get back on there but yeah okay I got my camera y'all we F to start unpacking the car I just checked in and we got um I got my key and my student ID I haven't been in the dorm yet but my roommates already moved in so once I get up there I'm going to fit the camera back up I just had to go get it from my dad cuz he had it but I'm glad I got it now ready in the dorm this my bed this the um the closet this little mirror air this the bathroom y'all why period I guess like look at the shower it ain't no light in here dark shower but it's fine it's cool it's okay cuz at least we got a shower but we going to bring all this stuff from my car and my dad's car and then yeah I think you just got to leave your mark you know there you go put over that class of8 um the headboard cover class 28 um yeah we just going to have to put the headboard up higher [Music] yeah okay y'all we got action we moving my room a moved in before me so it's like you pick up the fridge got my headb got some fridge we cooking y'all we [Applause] cooking nice per you want my view is nice all the Rolling Hills of the great state of Tennessee I got it I'm going break down my boxes why we have to let it sit so that it doesn't blow up the uh all the uh oil in the compressor s going to put together this show [Music] me on a on [Music] aular let's take this over [Music] progress y'all it's coming together it's going to be so cute I got my legs up they pink my camera battery about to die what you talking to me or that camera I was talking to the camera I still ain't even brought my clothes out the [Music] [Music] car me I'm going [Music] okay y'all we making a lot of progress it's looking very good very cute very tea I love it we're finishing up all I have I got all my stuff in here I just have to unpack my clothes I ain't did that yet you see batteries here batteries no y'all we done not even I still got to organize my clothes but and I still have to do a lot of stuff but we're we got everything in the room going to put the rug those my clothes I still got to unpack them I got to put them under my bed and in the closet but it's all [Music] good that's too slow all right y'all my parents just left but I still have to put up on my clothes and I have to organize some stuff and we have to go to the store I'm going to get to it though cuz it's already 6:30 it's getting later and later look our L lights y'all like it's eating I'm going to do dooring tour later so we're going to go to the store and then after we come back I'mma um finish putting up my clothes cuz I haven't put up none of my clothes I'mma catch y we exited the room I met this lady in the store earlier she went to TSU in like the 80s and they've been calling to oh hey you want to be in my Vlog oh I'm officially on my HBCU campus I got the thing on my maps because I don't know where I'm going but it's cool we going to figure it out I'm already knowing I'm going to get tired of just walking like but the store is not far I don't think I feel like this taking me a longer way but look at our campus it's so pretty it's going to be so pretty in the fall yeah cuz it do get pretty cold out here here that boy got class of 24 what I think I want to chase this some sweatpants to keep this on it's a skunk y'all I ain't never seen no skunk in real life H hola the skunk is insane okay we leaving the dorm we just visited but this dorm this freshman dorm is really big like our dorm not this big but we going to go to the store [Applause] what you doing hey man this ain't that tired of partying toar dance I just I'm a little
