you're going to get just a sneak quarter rout here but when you get the safeties to come down because you've run the ball well there's nobody form a very nice job with Dan Pi these are the hard ones right Tim you get on the outside he's wide open you get him a nice easy ball to catch and a touchdown for New Mexico yeah they bit they bit on that little quick out in the RPO they re expected the Run of damp Pier 2 gwikii with the extra point well this was Montana State's worst nightmare a team that doesn't throw it a lot there's brookler at the tight end made two big time catches the last one of on the play clock whichever comes first and after everything that happened a year ago go it's really good to see every other form they had at every other form of football they had that except the college game and there's one other big change right Dean the other big change which will come up in about I don't know eight minutes the two- minute timeout think the two-minute warning in the NFL now we implemented that for the college game so at 2 minutes the game clock will stop everything it's like a timeout we'll go to break and then when we come back all of the timing rules will change first downs the clock will stop and then start on the ready so we've got a two-minute timeout now in college football on second and 12 Jacobs takes that one in and is shoved Out of Bounds at the 29 thanks Dean and and Tim with strategy you you kind of think totally different now cuz you may have four timeouts when you have three technically if you have that two-minute Timeout on the horizon so it's you couldn't paint a more difficult picture for them and they still have a chance now to get the Mojo going prior to halftime especially because of their style of play yeah without a doubt taco daller spun down at the 24 that was a beautiful boot of 54 yds by Aaron Rodriguez so dampier finding his tight end brookler but Montana state with the answer Mo laran slep involved in that offense got Trey Humphrey takes it on that zone read and you know we were talking about the headsets and the radio equipment being used by New Mexico that's not the case Josh for their opposition today yeah that's right Tim we heard Dean blandino give that new rule but for Montana state they're electing not to use it for the simple fact they won't be able to use it during the playoffs so why get used to something that won't help them during a postseason run I really do understand that philosophy too Humphrey Burrows ahead to the 35 I I really would suggest that the NCAA at the FCS level adopt it the passing game is where he works so hard to improve see the rushing yards all with Montana State they've got to win that statistic if they hope to get a road win here today came in a favorite by the remember how many times were we seeing Avenger come down and make plays in the Box it's the free safety Tim he's coming way down into the box because he has to help in the Run game and it's allowing Arizona State he was a top 60 consensus receiver coming out of high school he's got a future no doubt about it as soon as mot becomes more confident as a passer they're even going to get better and they're already really good yeah because that running game even though everybody knows they're going to run it they still have success right if they get serviceable in the pass game this is going to be a scary team in the FCS Taco doler goes into the slot left again slant caught Jones Rohan ahead for the first down a gain of six I love how they use him fullback yeah HB tight end yeah he can do that too it's a very nice job by him there because he's a part of the protection but he realizes right away that he doesn't need the block and he sets up right in front of the quarterback and catches a nice pass bring an extra Defender mot gets away look out Tommy mot spin baby spin but he's down behind the line he could have lost about 10 he winds up taking a two-y loss toell number 89 mosala toell making the stop it's a nice job to minimize the damage right like you said it should have been a loss of 10 but he finds a way to get out and and and make it a shorter loss but a very nice job by that New Mexico defense and this is a part of what coach Bronco minhal wanteded the ability to chase after the ball to continue to play hard and that's why he made Camp so difficult and made them earn everything they earned that play right there because mot was almost out you're right Nick how the defensive coordinator said we tackled more in this camp or defensive coordinators they not in any camp that I can recall and you can see that it's paid some dividends for them our State Farm halftime report will be coming up Mike Hill Bruce Feldman speaking of the outstanding Rider with the athletic and of course with us in Fox in college football on the fox family of networks by the way that West Virginia team with Garrett green I think they can give Penn State all they want next week mot steps up and now ushers himself out of bounds which was a wise choice on his part to not take that blow but he does gain a little bit of yardage a yard beyond the line of scrimmage because of their position I would have much rather seen him slide down in bounds right and obviously he's not thinking like that but you don't want to save so much time with a third down and and relatively long here New Mexico can get this ball back and they have all three of their timeout so they can try to put more points on the board before half this is a critical third and N you're right of course and how do you risk it do you throw an incomplete pass and allow them to save their timeouts that's the question right here for offensive coordinator Tyler Walker well they stayed conservative and now timeout will be taken and you're right plenty of time for New Mexico they only get two and they'll have to boot it away with 45 seconds and timeouts left for Bronco mindenhall and a hot hot quarterback right now yeah I I suspect Dan Pier can't wait to touch the leather again I think they're adjusting the game clock to 52 so they have even more than we originally reported so 52 seconds left more than enough time for New Mexico to get more points on the scoreboard here absolutely with two timeouts your entire Playbook is essentially open to you obviously you don't want to get into the Run game as much and and you can still go to the sideline and try to get out of bound conserve those timeouts however you can take shots to the middle of the field if Montana stays with the middle of the field open defense I've been asked about a lot of people through the years why there are so few games on week zero and I think a lot of times coaches they don't like having to get their teams ready for the game this early that's part of it but boy if you can get a win in week zero particularly if you got a tough schedule and New Mexico does they could really use a home win today with what lies ahead on their schedule Brendon Hall to boot it away Kevin Jacobs back deep fair catch is called at the seven yd line another great boot 54 yds here are the numbers on dampier he has been as advertised yeah I mean like I said in the open there isn't a lot that he can't off the top of the head he has an opportunity here to try to go down get in field goal position or even a touchdown yeah it'll be interesting to see how Jason Beck the offensive coordinator decides to call it with the ball this deep in Lobo territory they said they trust him yep Jacobs is the setback and a nice little little Sprint draw see what you're going to get if it pops right you'll go and if not you let the clock run out be comfortable with a 10-point lead going in the half I'm impressed with both of these teams we knew Montana state was a pretty consistent program but Falling Down by 17 that was a shock treatment moment for them course especially on the road yeah a lot different than what they're accustomed to you know experiencing in this heat as well and then New Mexico answered and the Home Folks are enjoying it
