hi it's Mitch from picd dogs.com here with your free pick in the Houston versus UNLV college football matchup on Saturday August 31st 2024 of course it's my favorite day of the week during my favorite time of the year it is college football Saturday if you like all the free picks we do at pick dogs you'll love our premium picks our Best Bets you just go to pick dogs.com click on the premium picks Tab and uh also have a link directly below this video in the description if you make bigger bets like $1,000 or more per game you have like a $10,000 bankroll looking for a long-term uh type package we offer those as well it's called our VIP all you got to do is text the number see on the screen but let's get to it Houston taking on UNLV it is opening College Football Saturday week one and uh UNLV a team that had a pretty good year last year not like we're used to seeing from UNLV and uh maybe ready to take another step forward they were tough customers covering spreads like no one's business but also winning a lot of football games and five on the year for the running rebs meanwhile Houston transition year for them this year maybe a step backwards before they take a step forward course a lot of money in this Houston program and it's kind of sad to see them tailing off the last couple years because they were the ones that really fought to be members of the Big 12 and really wanted to be members of the Big 12 and to make matters worse for them ah Texas leaves you know the year after that they get in so you know certainly not what Houston was really hoping and looking for but at the same time being being part of the Big 12 is a nice step forward for this program you know not just here in college football but in college hoops as well Houston returns you know some Firepower on offense and I think they should be okay on that side of the ball but the defense just not many starters returning and certainly some big holes to fill and I expect to see those holes get filled but unfortunately by UNLV players running down the field I think the UNLV defense might be susceptible not because they're weak in any particular spot but more so that they are uh you know more so that um more more so that um you know the the offense of Houston is good enough to move the football on them you know in a lot of these games in the early season I try and avoid these totals and I think you know seeing the clock rules last year certainly changed things it made college football really more of an under style game in most of these games even for programs that were running like d Dana hogerson type offenses like Houston has been running and really a lot of the players on the roster that were recruited by hogerson certainly have been you know recruited to play that style of game you know I think in this particular game I think that what we're going to see is probably a little bit more to a higher scoring game and I think this 55 and a half total as big as it seems at this time probably isn't big enough to hold the scoring in this game I'm going to roll with the over in the Houston UNLV game and that's going to be my free pick of course while you're doing your picks putting your bets in be sure to use our free betting tools at sportschatplace.com 100% free and they'll help put you on the most favorable bets on the board today
