"EYEWITNESS NEWS" REPORTER MATT PETRILLO LIVE AT SOUTH EIGHTH STREET. SO THE RACE STARTED NOT TOO LONG AGO, MATT, HOW IS IT LOOKING RIGHT NOW? Reporter: YES, STARTED LITTLE BIT MORE THAN HALF HOUR AGO, AND WHEN A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR THE RACE. IF YOU TAKE A LOOK HINE ME, AT THE FINISH LINE RIGHT NOW. HEAR ALL OF THE COULD YOU BELLS IN THE BACKGROUND, THOSE ARE PEOPLE JUST WELCOMING EVERYONE WHO FINISHED, AND NOW TAKE A LOOK AT SOME VIDEO WE HAVE FROM THE STARTING LINE. ABOUT 5,000 PEOPLE TOOK OVER THE STREET HERE IN PHILADELPHIA, IN CENTER CITY, AND SOUTH PHILLY, THE PHILLY T KEN IS SCENIC RUN, ROUGHLY 6 MILES, AND THE RACE NOT FORK WALKERS, RUNNERS ONLY. NOW THE TOP THREE WINNERS GET CASH PRIZE UP TO $250, AND AFTER THE RACE, THERE IS A BLOCK PARTY, IN QUEEN VILLAGE, WHERE RUNNERS GET TO ENJOY BEER FROM THE PHILADELPHIA BREWING COMPANY, SHAKE SHACK, AND FEDOTENKO RAIL DONUT CUSTARD PLUS LIVE MUSIC. HOW MUCH, I MEAN THERE IS TAKES A LOT OF TRAINING, 6 MILES. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO TO EXPLAIN. SO I'VE BEEN THROWING ACHILLES ISSUES, THE LAST FEW YEARS, SO MY TRAINING HAS BEEN PRETTY MEAGER, BUT MANAGE TO GET OOH MILE WEEKS IN, ENOUGH TO GET OUT HERE TODAY. MY FIRST RACE BACK. HOPEFULLY GET UP TO 80-MILE WEEKS, THAT WOULD HAVE DONE IT FOR THIS RACE BUT I'M HAPPY FOR WHAT DID I. WHAT WAS YOUR TIME? LITTLE OVER 31. THIRTY-ONE MINUTES, WOW, PRETTY FAST.
