I'M SURE IF -- IF ENOUGH LIQUIDS ARE TAKEN IN, YOU WILL PROBABLY FORGET THAT IT'S EVEN RAINING, RIGHT? HERE'S THAT RAIN COMING DOWN AROUND THE CITY. AND IT'S WATERING CENTRAL PARK NOW. IT'S NOT HEAVY. BUT NOT THAT NICE. SOUTHEAST WIND. 8 MILES PER HOUR NOW. CLOUDS, SHOWERS, THERE MAY BE A COUPLE OF RUMBLES WITH HEAVIER SHOWERS, LATER THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING. BUT IT'S NOT A COMPLETE WASHOUT. EACH SHOWER WILL PROBABLY LAST ABOUT 15 TO 30 MINUTES. THEY GO ON BY IN TOTAL. MAYBE AN HOUR OR TWO OR THREE OF SHOWERY WEATHER THROUGH THE AREA TODAY. COOL, SUNSHINE RETURNS TOMORROW. OF BUT IT'S COOL DAY, WITH BREEZES, RUNNING AROUND 15, 20 MILES PER HOUR OR SO. IT'S WARM AND DRY, THOUGH, FOR NEXT WEEK. THE WARMTH IS COMING BACK. THIS WEATHER MAP IS NOT INDICATING A LOT OF RAIN. ANYWHERE FROM A TENTH TO MAYBE TWO OR THREE-TENTHS. MAYBE ABOUT A THIRD OF AN INCH OF RAIN. AND IF IT'S SHOWING ZERO HERE ACROSS LONG ISLAND. IT'S INDICATING, YOU KNOW, COUPLE HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF RAIN. BUT JUDGING THE WAY IT'S LOOKING NOW ON RADAR. I WOULD SAY, WHERE MOST OF US ARE GOING TO BE, IN THAT QUARTER TO THIRD. AND THIS IS ALL WE GET, RIGHT ON THROUGH THE REST OF THE UPCOMING WEEK. HERE ARE THE SHOWERS. SEE THAT? RIGHT ON UP. THIS BATCH WILL PROBABLY HIT NASSAU COUNTY. AND THESE ARE THE ONES THAT ARE GOING THROUGH THE CITY RIGHT NOW. RIGHT ALONG THE JERSEY SHORE. THE PALISADES. GARDEN PARKWAY. INTO ROCKLAND. THERE'S THE ONE OVER THE CITY NOW. RADAR CAN'T DO A BETTER JOB OF DEPICTING THAT THAN IT IS RIGHT THERE. AND THAT SHOWER. WELL, THE HEAVIEST PART OF IT WAS JUST TO THE WESTERN SECTIONS. TO THE WEST OF THE CITY. THAT'S GOING UP INTO BERGEN COUNTY NOW, TOO. ALL OF THIS IS REMAINING SEPARATE. BUT THIS IS THE FRONT HERE THAT IS GOING TO PRODUCE THE HEAVIER SHOWER AND POSSIBLY A THUNDERSTORM. IF YOU'RE GOING TO TRY TO GET TO THE BEACH, IT'S NOT GREAT. I MEAN, YOU'RE GOING TO BE DODGING RAINDROPS. AND THE RIP CURRENT RISK IS HIGH FOR THE JERSEY SHORE, AS WELL AS LONG ISLAND. SO JUST KIND OF FORGET IT. THE UV INDEX IS A 5. IF YOU GET A BREAK OR TWO OF SUN. AND THERE'S EVEN A CHANCE OF LIGHTNING. I WOULD SAY, THIS IS NOT YOUR DAY. TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER IF YOU DON'T MIND IT BEING A LITTLE BREEZY AND COOL. 75 IS THE HIGH FOR THE CITY. GENERALLY 70 TO 75. A LITTLE WARMER CENTRAL SECTIONS OF NEW JERSEY, A LITTLE COOLER UP TO THE NORTH AND WEST. MID-50s FOR THE CITY TONIGHT. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. THE SKY IS GOING DOING CLEAR OUT. AND IT'S GOING TO TURN COOL. 55, 40S, ALL THE HUDSON VALLEY, AS WELL AS NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY. AND THAT BREEZE WILL MAKE IT FEEL EVEN A LITTLE BIT COOLER. SO 70 FOR TOMORROW. ANOTHER -- YOU KNOW, A BEAUTIFUL DAY RETURNING. BUT IT'S ANOTHER DAY, WHERE THE BREEZE WILL BE WITH US. THE TEMPERATURES WILL BE BELOW AVERAGE. AND THE HUMIDITY WILL COME DOWN SUBSTANTIALLY. AND BEFORE WE GET TO THE SEVEN-DAY. THERE'S STILL A COUPLE OF THINGS GOING ON OUT HERE IN THE ATLANTIC, WHERE THE TROPICAL SEASON HAS BEEN EXCEPTIONALLY QUIET, FOR WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A VERY BUSY YEAR. BUT THERE'S A CHANCE OFF THE AFRICA COAST, AND WESTERN PARTS OF THE WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO HERE. WE'LL KEEP AN EYE ON THAT FOR YOU HERE. HERE'S THE SEVEN-DAY. EVEN THOUGH TOMORROW IS COOL.
