WE ARE GOING TO BE SEEING SOME CONDITIONS OUT THERE THAT ARE GOING TO BE A LOT CLEAR TODAY AND WITH THAT IS DEFINITELY GOING TO BE A HOTTER DAY TODAY. HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE BUILDS IN FROM THE FROM THE EAST, CUTTING OFF ACCESS FROM THE COAST. AND THIS DOES MEAN TODAY IS GOING TO BE THE VERY HOTTEST DAY OF THIS FORECAST. ONSHORE FLOW DOES RETURN TOMORROW. AND THAT'S ACTUALLY GOING TO COOL THINGS OFF AS MUCH AS 10 DEGREES COMPARED TO WHERE WE'RE ABOUT TO BE TODAY. SO TODAY IS ABSOLUTELY THE HEAT SPIKE. AND THEN THE WEEKEND BRINGS SOME NEEDED RELIEF FROM WITH THIS HIGH-PRESSURE RIDGE. ALSO SOME MONSOONAL MOISTURE BUILDING IN WHAT WE'RE NOT RELEASING THE EFFECTS OF THAT IN THE BAY AREA. TAKE A LOOK AT THE SIERRA THIS AFTERNOON. IF YOU ARE HEADING UP TO THIS YEAR, ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF LAKE TAHOE, WATCH FOR SOME THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THIS AFTERNOON AND RETURNING AGAIN TOMORROW. YOU CAN ALSO SEE A LITTLE BIT OF FOG PUSHING IT ALONG THE COASTLINE TOMORROW. THAT'S GOING TO BE THAT COOL OCEAN AIR THAT REALLY COOL THINGS OFF TOMORROW FOR US TODAY, THOUGH, IS DEFINITELY THE HOTTEST ONE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA IN THE MIDST OF EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNINGS AND HEAT ADVISORIES IN THE BAY AREA. HEAT ADVISORIES FOR OUR INLAND AREAS OF THE NORTH BAY EAST BAY, AS WELL AS ACROSS THE SOUTH BAY, TOO. LET'S GET A LOOK AT WHERE TEMPERATURES GOING TO LAND TODAY AND NO COMPARISON TO EVEN YESTERDAY WE ARE SIGNIFICANTLY HOTTER. TAKE A LOOK AT ALCATRAZ. IT ONLY 66 DEGREES DOWNTOWN SAN FRANCISCO. 82, IF YOU'RE TAKING THE FERRY BETWEEN THE 2, WHAT A TEMPERATURE CONTRAST WE ARE SEEING DAILY CITY UP TO 73 TODAY. ELDER. NOT AT 76 BURLINGAME. YOU'LL GET UP TO 92 DEGREES FOR YOUR DAYTIME HIGH. ALSO LOOKING AT SOME 90'S FROM SAN CARLOS DOWN THROUGH MOUNTAIN VIEW AS WELL AS INTO THE SOUTH BAY WAS SAYING A CLEAR AT 91 SAN JOSE. 93 LOS GATOS AND MORGAN HILL. EACH RIDE OUT 100 DEGREES WHILE FREMONT AT 90 LIVERMORE AND PLEASANTON ALSO REACHING THE TRIPLE DIGITS TODAY, WALNUT CREEK AND CONCORD AT 103, CLAYTON COULD GET EVEN HOTTER. FLIRTING WITH 105, TO 106, DEGREES ON THE SLOPES OF MOUNT DIABLO IN U.S. COUPLE AREA. SO DEFINITELY HOT OAKLAND, YOU'LL BE A 85 TODAY WHILE PITTSBURGH 103. SAME IN VACAVILLE.
