TO YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. RAIN AND THIS IS PEAK FIRE SEASON RIGHT HERE. AUGUST EVEN INTO SEPTEMBER CAN BE REALLY WARM TIMES A YEAR FOR THE BAY AREA. >>WE DO HAVE HEAT AROUND THE CORNER. BUT TODAY TOMORROW, A NICE BREAK FROM THE HEAT. AT LEAST AND MAYBE EVEN A LITTLE BIT OF MISTY TO VERY LIGHT SPRINKLES TOMORROW NIGHT COULD HELP OUT A LITTLE BIT WHERE WE'RE SITTING RIGHT NOW. THE ONE DOWNSIDE OF ALL THIS IS THAT WINDS ARE PICKING UP. WE WILL SEE 30 TO 40 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS TODAY, ESPECIALLY IN MOUNTAIN SIDES. THIS IS YOUR BAY BRIDGE THE RIGHT HERE. AND YOU CAN SEE THAT STEADY BREEZE JUST PUSHING RIGHT INTO THE BAY THIS MORNING. ALL HAS TO DO WITH AN EARLY SEASON COLD FRONT AND THIS LOW SITTING TO OUR NORTH. NOW, THE PLACEMENT OF THIS LOW IS NOT DIVING IN THE QUITE AS DEEP AS WHAT INITIAL MODELS WOULD HAVE SHOWN. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? WELL MEANS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA STILL GOING TO RECEIVE THAT EXPECTED AMOUNT OF RAINFALL WILL THE BAY AREA WE WERE ALREADY RIGHT ON THE CUSP OF IT. OUR RAINFALL POTENTIAL IS QUITE MINIMAL. NOW THAT HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE THAT YOU SEE HERE BUILDS IN QUICK NEXT WEEK. SO WE GO FROM THIS COOL DAY TODAY AND TOMORROW TO THE HEAT. REALLY, REALLY QUICK WITHOUT WASTING ANY TIME. FUTURECAST RAINFALL TOTALS DOES SHOW SPOTS LIKE EUREKA, STILL TAPPING INTO. AS I MENTIONED YESTERDAY AROUND AN INCH OF RAINFALL, POSSIBLE AREAS LIKE REDDING CLOSER TO A 10TH OF AN INCH OF IT. NOW THE BAY-AREA. LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THESE RAINFALL TOTALS. AGAIN. IT'S REALLY NOTHING MORE THAN A VERY LIGHT SPRINKLE OR 2. SO IF YOU HAD PLANS FOR TOMORROW AND YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT RECONSIDERING THEM, JUST GO AHEAD AND DO THEM. ALL THIS REALLY TAKES IS AN OUTFIT CHANGE DRESSING FOR FALL RATHER THAN FOR THE MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER. AND YOU'RE GOING TO BE GOOD TO GO FOR WHATEVER HAVE PLANS. YOU HAVE BOWL TODAY TOMORROW INTO SATURDAY. FUTURECAST DOES SHOW QUITE A LOT OF OVERCAST CONDITIONS TODAY. WE DO HAVE SOME MIST AND DRIZZLE UP IN THE SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS. THAT'S ABOUT IT FOR YOUR THURSDAY, THOUGH, AS WE MOVE INTO FRIDAY HEARS THOSE ISOLATED SPRINKLES. YOU HAVE REALLY HUGGING THE COASTLINE IN OUR HILLSIDES. OTHER THAN THAT, THOUGH, THIS IS NOT A SYSTEM THAT IS GOING TO PROVIDE MUCH FOR US. LOOK AT WHAT WE'VE GOT DIRECTLY TO THE NORTH, THOUGH, REALLY NORTH OF SANTA ROSA. THAT'S WHERE YOU SEE THOSE HEAVIER POCKETS OF RAIN FALL SAID MENTIONED THE BAY AREA RIGHT ON THE CUSP OF IT. SO OTHER THAN A SPRINKLE OR 2, WE'RE KIND OF SITTING IT OUT 60'S FOR YOUR DAYTIME HIGHS IN SAN FRANCISCO AS WELL AS OUT ALONG THE COASTLINE. A LOT OF 70'S ELSEWHERE, NOT A LOT OF 80'S TODAY TODAY, AS I'VE BEEN MENTIONING, IS A NOTICEABLY COOLER. ONE SOUTH BAY TEMPERATURES PRETTY SOLIDLY IN THE 70'S THIS AFTERNOON. FREMONT AT 70 WELL, UNION CITY HAYWARD ON THROUGH OAKLAND, UP TO RICHMOND ALL IN THE 60'S THIS AFTERNOON, CONCORD, YOU'LL HIT 80 DEGREES, SAME IN ANTIOCH, IN VACAVILLE. REALLY OUR ONLY SPOTS TO BE DOING SO THIS AFTERNOON. AS FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS, YOU CAN SEE WHAT I MEAN HERE. WHEN I SAY TEMPERATURES DON'T MESS AROUND AFTER TODAY AND TOMORROW WE GET THIS COOL DOWN.
