Should You Subscribe to NFL+? My Full Review After 1 Year of NFL Plus

Intro what the heck is NFL plus well I'm glad you asked now NFL plus is uh is a brand new streaming service from directly from the NFL that was released uh just over a year ago and if you take a basic look at NFL plus it seems like a fantastic deal it is only 6.99 and you could watch all of your local uh Sunday NFL games and all your Prime Time games that sounds like a fantastic deal that sounds like a cable replacement but there is one huge caveat and that is you can only watch it on your cell phone or on your tablet that's it you can't you can't airdrop it onto the television you can't plug it into the HDMI port you can only watch it on your cell phone and your tablet now it did officially launch just over a year ago and in this video I'm going to show you what has changed what has improved what I like what I dislike this is my full one year review now the first What Has Changed thing that I'm gonna go over is what has changed well right off the bat the price a year ago at this exact time the price for NFL plus was 4.99 now it is 6.99 now it could just be a victim of circumstance uh with the inflation everything being much higher maybe the NFL's costs are a little bit higher to run this service so they have to up charge it most likely than that we're gonna see this every single year whether it's two dollars one dollar I feel like a price hike is coming every year which is super unfortunate super annoying but I guess it is what it is now another little feature that I did see uh added on this year is game features so any game during the current week if uh if you scroll down I want to just get a game preview um essentially all you got to do is click it and then there'll be a narrated I want to say trailer for that game that week so it's really cool um especially if you just want to learn just basic information about the game or you have a lot of fantasy players and you want to get hyped this is a really cool small feature that they added in now another feature that they added is that there's a lot more broadcast and I feel like each and every year they're going to get more and more broadcasts to reach a more Global Market that was very smart on their end just because more and more people can watch these games so it is really cool that they added uh more broadcasts and that's uh that's kind of it that's all that has really changed in this app specifically now let's get into What Has Not Changed what hasn't changed well basically like like everything else now something that I did think that they were going to uh to roll out was a NFL plus specific app but they're they're still in the NFL mobile app which I think is pretty strange and I I don't really understand it um but I definitely see them rolling out a standalone app in the future they just they I guess they just haven't done it yet or is currently in development and one of the main reasons why I don't like it in the app is you can't you can't change anything right I mean you can change the volume but that that's kind of it you can't you can't change uh like the resolution and other Standalone streaming apps you can uh you can do more data friendly um or you can just get like the top of the top as solution and that is something I really hope that they roll out in the coming years but as of right now there's no HD option and like like I said it like nothing else has really changed I haven't it's it's higher but like the price is higher but nothing has really been added into the app which I feel like I'm being pitched for a new iPhone when like nothing has changed all right so now that we got that out of the way let's go into what I like the most What I Like well one of my favorite aspects of this even though they did raise the price it is still the price it's uh it's just under seven dollars a month and uh for I I know for a lot of the Prime Time games I'm I'm out and about so watching on my tablet or my phone like is is fine with me and this has definitely saved me a lot of money instead of getting like a cable subscription now another feature that I really like and I don't think this is gonna last either is that you're not always bombarded with ads a lot of the ad breaks they just have an NFL plus animation constantly not trying to be sold but again I I think eventually that'll go away but as of right now I really like like the brakes um that you get from the NFL action and the ads um because essentially a lot of the times it's just an NFL plus animation so I do like that but it's probably not gonna last and another thing I like I did touch upon it is that this is great this is great for like busy people that are on the go uh during these hours like Monday Night Football a lot of people are still working Sunday Night Football during the night a lot of people are just out and about um and during the Sunday games if you just want to like catch like 10 or 20 minutes while you're waiting in line or you're doing something else this is perfect for on the go and that's definitely one of the main benefits of NFL plus all right now let's get into what I dislike now the main thing is What I Dislike that there is a huge delay I don't know the exact second amount but uh just from my mental calculation like watching it on my phone and then seeing it uh like at a local bar it's around 10 to 15 seconds so if you're engaged in any sort of community or group chat or or if you're at a place where you can't see a TV but you could just watch it on your phone like people are reacting you're gonna be way way behind so this delay is terrible definitely don't use this and make in-game bets because yeah no another thing that I do just dislike is that you can only watch it on your phone and your tablet now that is why it is so cheap but I was hoping that there was a way where you can stream it on the big guy so I'm disappointed that there isn't a way to do that like even if it was like a hundred dollar like NFL uh adapter and I'm sure a lot of people will buy that and then the last thing that I really don't like and I did touch upon it earlier is that there's not a standalone app there's so many settings that I would like to change um whereas like Paramount plus and Netflix you can change a lot of the settings uh for your particular situation whether you want 4K you want like the like you want to see the crispiest stream or uh you need a like a data friendly stream I really like the option that you can change back and forth but as of right now they don't offer anything like that all right that is it that is my
