Universal Studios Orlando's BIGGEST Nighttime Show Yet!

hey good afternoon everybody and welcome back to Universal Orlando resort I got a lot of stuff to accomplish today first things first we're going to head over to the Epic Universe preview Center we have to see the brand new parade we have to see the brand new Sensational nighttime spectacular I'm hoping I can see the lights on Hogwarts Castle I got to check the times guide I don't know if those two nighttime events occur at the same time but we're going to try and get both we're going to go over take a look at the tribute store see if there's any merch I need right before it switches over because coming soon is a hhn lots to get done it's raining right now I'm sitting under some cover this isn't going to stop us so come along with me as we go explore Universal Orlando resort ladies and gentlemen boys and girls Welcome to The Greatest Show on Earth [Applause] [Music] y [Music] [Music] [Music] so the preview Center was really really cool there is some basic merchandise in there right now most of it is fairly generic or just not that exciting I think as we get closer to time to the opening of Epic Universe we'll get better merch I'm going to hold off from buying a bunch of stuff right now because I know eventually I'm going to want to buy a ton [Music] [Music] [Music] k [Music] [Music] weight times are pretty long today considering the park is really not that busy I mean I've seen it way busier and shorter weight times I'm assuming because the like the roller coasters are running less trains than normal and they don't have as many team members as normal sometimes even on the slower days the weight times are going to be just as long it's just something you have to understand about theme parks when they forecast their attendance they also change their labor and um sometimes they'll run less trains on coasters or less capacity through a ride today is definitely one of those days all right so I've arrived over here at thunderf Falls Terrace I have not eaten here in a long long long long time I am going to run in here and have some lunch and hopefully it's as good as I remember it so I just got my food I ordered the rotisserie chicken platter it has rotisserie chicken some um potatoes and corn on the cob it was $116.99 I get a $425 discount for being a passholder so my total today after tax was 13.56 this is a pretty good plate of food for $13.56 looks like you get half a chicken they're not really messing around here for for the price that's a really a lot of food chicken has a lot of flavor this restaurant is in between Jurassic Park and and tun Lagoon so if you're ever in the park and you want a uh a good quick service they have pork shoulder perel they have ribs they have salads and then they have the chicken so options for everybody in your party finished with lunch I'm over in tun Lagoon temporarily I'm going to go ahead and head on out towards the front of the park we're going to walk over to the Universal Studio side the parade tonight is at 6 o'clock so I've got to consult a map or the app actually to see where the parade route is I'm really not sure I've tried to stay spoiler-free on this parade but I have read a couple of things about it people talking about how good it actually is so I'm really looking forward to it but I'm just not sure what the route is so the summer tribute store is still open based on a mega video from the 1980s let's go take a walk through and see if there's anything that we got to have before this one closes down for the season [Music] n [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so I've been through the New Dreamworks Land once but it was in soft opening not everything was open so I'm going to make a quick trip through I'm going to bring you just the uh the highlight and uh maybe we'll come back and do a more complete video at another time [Music] [Music] [Music] now showing it's the universal Mega Movie par [Music] [Music] well that was a heck of a day got a lot done I just have a couple of thoughts first let's talk about the parade the parade those floats were amazing I thought they did a really really good job I thought the team members were enthusiastic they were into their characters I really appreciated the effort everybody was putting into it I only have one small gripe and I I I went back and forth about even saying anything about this one because it's really such a minor thing but I have to be honest so I so I'm going to say it I love the Universal movies theme and they started the parade with the Universal movies theme which I thought was really cool and and smart cuz it was a Universal movies themed flow but then every other float that came out also played the universal theme and then would switch halfway through to whatever the theme of that float was and so I don't remember how many floats there were like seven or eight so you had to hear the the Universal Music eight or nine times because you had the first float it just was a little repetitive and it kind of took away what I thought made it so cool in the beginning I also want to talk about the cational night time show it was okay it's a water fountain fireworks drone special effects projection show it's very similar to the previous show they had but this one is just amped up it's better in every single way plus the addition of the drones the drones were very cool they did a really good job with those I think in in a lot of ways the drones here are better than the ones that Disney's Curr L using at Disney Springs I thought the show was it was about 24 minutes it was the right length any longer than that would have been too long I thought they covered all the greatest hits I will uh recommend that show to anybody we did not get to see Hogwarts Castle lights this is an ongoing joke if you've ever watched this channel before but every time I I plan to something happens and it I never get to so the curse sort of continues lot going on over here at Universal this is my my favorite time of the year going into Halloween and then into Christmas it's a great time to be at the Universal Parks and it's a great time to be a Florida resident because there's so
