breaking news breaking news breaking news what is going on everybody the Las Vegas Raiders have signed a new pass rusher who was also a former first round pick for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 20120 we're going to break this down check out some of the latest Raiders dues happening during this live broadcast shout out to everybody watching us live this is WiFi willly and shout out to those of you watching this later don't worry I'm going to get right to it it it's going to be just like a pre-recorded video so we'll check out the latest news and preview my bad preview this upcoming match up against the Baltimore Ravens which hey I understand the Raiders are underdogs I would not bet my mortgage on the Raiders even though I don't even own a home I wouldn't bet that on the Raiders winning this game against the Ravens but there's always hope and this new pass rusher could maybe give the Raiders a spark especially in their run game and on the defensive side of the football so Kevon Chason former Jaguars first round pick this guy was just picked up today and if you remember during the press conference with Antonio Pierce head coach of the Raiders on Monday he was asked what are the Raiders going to do about pass rusher are they going to sign somebody else and he instantly said the general manager Tom Tesco the former charger who I was hoping the former charger Tom Tesco would get some revenge against his old team last week against the Chargers but that did not happened I thought it was going to be a real GM beef Revenge game but unfortunately it didn't work out uh that way so apparently Tom Tesco did get to work signing a new player and that's where you got Caleb Von Chason so let's go check out his career and just for those of you who may have forgotten how this all started how this all came about Malcolm coun this guy was expected to have a big year with the Raiders this year and it's really sad and kind of disappointing that he hasn't been able to play he looked good last year against the Chargers and the Chiefs and we really thought the Raiders would have a dynamic Edge rusher Duo and you saw the Chargers last uh in this past game with the Raiders because Joey Bose is healthy and Kal Max healthy that wasn't the case last year they had a big Edge on the defensive line and the Raiders didn't have that not only is Malcolm C on IR he's set to miss four games and honestly given the fact that the Raiders are signing another player here cuz think about it he's supposed to miss four games he's already missed one you would think that they would maybe be able to hold on for at least three more weeks but you're signing a former first round pick this tells me that perhaps Malcolm K's injury that he suffered in practice might be more significant than we realize and maybe he'll miss a little bit more time than we expected and that's why the Raiders are signing another player now uh you would think okay well Malcolm coun is on IR no big deal don't the Raiders have a former first round pick defensive end who was supposed to be a big deal last year drafted by Dave zegler and Josh McDaniels and that is the former Texas Tech the the former Red Raider you would think it's meant to be with Tyrie Wilson he was a Red Raider in college and now he's a Raider in the NFL but unfortunately he was dealing with the sprain knee it's not considered longterm but he was not able to play in this past Chargers game so the Raiders to rely on Charles Snowden somebody who was a bubble man to make the 53 man roster and that's what they had to roll with so they figured they need to address this obviously the plan going into the season was not for Charles Snowden to be uh a starting Edge rusher for the Raiders and to make it all work with this Christian Wilkins as defensive tackle with Max Crosby on the edge you need that extra piece there and we're going to get into some of this I don't want to get into it CU it's kind of a downer but first round pick Jo all of the Chargers was able to establish himself against the Raiders dline and Max Crosby towards the second half of the game now I think maybe it's because the Chargers were able to run the ball a little bit more keep them honest but really it just showed you how we're missing that extra piece on the defensive line that could have freed up Max Crosby even more that could have freed up Christian Wilkins anymore so Tyreek Wilson perhaps he's not healthy to in addition to Malcolm Co so we know Malcolm C is going to be out for some time he's on ir and then the knee injury to Tyreek Wilson is happening and this is what's prompting this signing of Kevon Chason and I did practice that name shout out to me practicing how to pronounce the names I always get a lot of be a lot of I don't want to I want I don't want to curse this early because it's really early for me I usually get a lot of hate in the comments because I don't pronounce names I think I was saying mer for Trayvon merri instead of maring you look I'm just bad with pronouncing names I might be dyslexic so you know what if you're uh if you make fun of the fact that I can't pronounce names then that means you're you're ableist you're ableist huh isn't that what the isn't that what you learn in college that's a that's a phrase so cayon Chas on a former first round pick for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Raiders game and this week it's going to be the same thing it's actually going to be Raiders versus Ravens and Saints versus Cowboys at the same time we did this last year we were able to manage it eastern time and it's always fun to H hang out and there's so many commercial breaks man we're going to be able to cover both games you're going to be able to know exactly what the hell is going on and and you know what we're able to show uh some cool stuff during the games in case you're not able to see it so that's another perk too maybe I shouldn't even say that all right so anyways we got chargers players talking trash we're going to get into that but let me first go through through and just talk about Kevon uh Chason here so drafted in 2020 first round by the Jacksonville Jaguars he was at pick 20 and one of the big problems with him right away is he's he's always suffered injuries in 2022 he had to go on IR in October and then he played a few games in December and you're going to be able to see this so this up this past season he he has since been released in 2023 by the Jacksonville Jaguars and in this past season 2024 going into this week one game he's on the practice squad of the Carolina Panthers and in my opinion if I if I wanted to be real here that's a little alarming that he was only able to make the practice squad on the Carolina Panthers because they just lost Brian Burns they're relying on jvon Clowney to be their starting Edge rusher and you know he's he's up there in age for a starting Edge rusher so it it's kind of like you know were they just not giving him a good look like why why is he not getting these opportunities but either way he was on the practice squad and then and now the Raiders have been able to pick him up former first- round pick has five sacks in his career you can see that here uh right here and in terms of games let's just go by you know I just want to go through this real quick and we'll talk about some of the latest Raiders news I just want to go by real quick to see what this guy's done and I'm not going to act like I'm a freaking expert on this guy we're all we're all freaking Lear rning together so his rookie year with the Jags and that is Trevor Lawrence his first season no Trevor Lawrence first season 2021 so this guy may know Gardner mchu because Gardner mchu was still the starter for the Jags in 2020 and then they sort of they benched him they were kind of tanking in 2020 to grab Trevor Lawrence in 2021 in that draft so uh you know Caleb Von Chase on I I I think he knows uh menu so that could be good for some some locker room stuff he's already he already has chemistry right so he picked up 29 pressures in this year uh grades you always got to take grades with a uh grain of salt but you don't you don't have too many positive grades you have a couple good graded games in 2020 uh mainly against the Titans so dude was able to eat against the Titans twice but as you could see he played uh a good amount of snaps sometimes only 18 snaps but basically played in every game now 2021 when he you got Trevor Lawrence at QB maybe you got a spark maybe you're going to improve here uh he was able to still stay healthy he was still able to stay healthy 15 pressures only one sack so he's going down a little bit in that area that's a little that's a little concerning honestly and 2022 like I mentioned earlier this is when he got banged up as you can see after week five he doesn't play until week 14 that's a little conc erning but he had a little bit more positive grades if you're going to trust these grades it was a lot more positive as he went in 2022 now 2023 I think this is when it's gone downhill obviously the Jags in terms of their pass rushers have Josh Allen and also Trayvon Walker that's what they've been rolling with so clearly they felt the need to draft another Edge rusher because cbon Chon was not working out and not performing that high but when you look at his final year with the Jags he that's kind of interesting that he has some of the highest grades in his career in his final year with the Jags picks up two sacks and 14 pressures here and then of course this year no action at all was on the practice squad did he play in preseason did appear in a couple preseason games for the Carolina Panthers didn't get a sack got one pressure but in that first preseason game against the Patriots it seems like he graded pretty well so that's that's not too shabby that's not too shabby honestly so we'll see if he can provide a spark obviously we can't just assume oh this is instantly going to work out this is going to he's going to save the season here but I find it very interesting in terms of looking at the health of the other Raiders players when it comes to Tyreek Wilson the former first round pick at pick seven the former Red Raider when it comes to him when it comes to Malcolm cin I do find it pretty alarming and interesting that they felt the need to go sign this guy now who else was available for the Raiders to sign to fill in an edge rusher there was one guy available where uh okay there is some desun Waton news happening right here um there was one guy available that I wanted the Raiders to try to grab perhaps instead of uh cbon Chon and that is Mr yi andak yi andak he was with the Raiders in 2021 played on that Gus Bradley system and was eventually traded away for Rocky aine cornerback by Josh McDaniel so he was traded away to the Colts for a quarterback by Josh McDaniels in 2022 but Rocky or but yanek andak not the greatest against the run but if you're looking for a pass a pass rusher he's very solid and right now he's unemployed and I think a lot of that has to do with a age you know people don't trust a guy who's up there in age and people have been talking about he's one of the top free agents he had a four sack Year in with the Chicago Bears 29 years old I mean that's really not old but I guess people are dinging him for that but he's been training trying trying to get back on the field and unfortunately the Raiders decided to go in a different direction now part of the reason could be now to be positive here perhaps some of their thinking is like hey uh Malcolm C may come back soon soon Tyreek Wilson may be ready to go soon therefore we don't need to get a guy like enik and right away we don't need to get somebody who's going to be older more of a leader wanting to not go back to the practice squad after their sign we need somebody who's been a little more humbled who's younger and that's the thing about cbon Chason he he is quite young if I'm not mistaken he is what 25 years old 25 years old so still very young and probably somebody who would not be offended if he had to go back to the practice squad or anything like that and maybe it's somebody who if you get a spark if you get something out of him if Patrick Graham's able to get something out of him maybe it's somebody who you signed to a contract extension maybe it's somebody who you take a chance on and it develops into more long-term role maybe somebody like Yak be would be a little too shortterm so perhaps that's why you know they they decided not to go with a veteran they decided to to go with this young guy here now some more news we got some other news shout out to the live chat here shout out to has always been the case but it just seems like creeper more than ever there's always been little tussles in the stands of football games but everybody recording with their phones these days it's just so weird that that never used to be the case and it's just people trying to get views off of watching people swing swing on each other it really does trip me out but look kids go to these games I I I really hope these games become safer for a lot of people families are there and it would really suck if parents started to be like yo I don't even know if I want to go to a game cuz do you like do you really want your kid to see stuff like this up close and who knows if your kid accidentally you know somebody falls on him or something to me I think that's kind of that's kind of that's I don't want to curse this early in the morning that's that's crappy that's crappy that that that it's coming to this and people are acting like this and these are grown adults man these are grown adults these are people who have jobs these are people who are allowed to vote you know what I mean and it's absolutely ridiculous that that these people are acting like this now we do have some trash talk I mean we I thought I really did believe the Raiders were going to win this game I I I thought it was heading in that direction and now you have Chargers players trash talking the Raiders because of this W ran Slater The Tackle uh tagging Christian Wilkins on Instagram saying one and0 bolt up so there's some serious Trash Talk happening here um which hey I I know the Raiders lost this game and I and I personally believe it was just the fumbles couple bad coaching decisions I do think the Raiders got out coached but in terms of the roster this could have gone either way I mean if if the Raiders just score one extra touchdown on offense early that may change the dynamic I'm if I'm going to be positive here now that we've we we've sobered sobered up a little bit that does change the Dynamics of the game and ran Slater is here talking trash on Christian Wilkins tagging him here you really want to do that this early the Raiders are going to play the Chargers at the end of the season again it's going to be at home in allegion stadium by the way the Chargers game was basically a home game in La for the Raiders you really it's the final game of the season where you don't get in trouble you're not going to get suspended if you get a little nasty so are they really trying to talk trash right now on the Raiders D line when they're going to play him at the end of the year that's going to be a update on the Ravens with Lamar Jackson apparently that game was a little rough for the guy against the Kansas City Chiefs now another reason why I'm a little worried about this not only am I worried just because the Ravens are a better football team they are let's just be real and if you can't handle if you can't handle someone saying that I I I don't know what to tell you but they another reason why I was I was worried is because they're getting extra rest the Ravens had their game against the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football Raiders had their game on Sunday so they got about three days extra rest and the Raiders on top of already being a favored team but we just had some news this morning uh Lamar Jackson dealing with soreness he's expected to return to practice tomorrow didn't practice today and he didn't practice yesterday so Lamar Jackson has been unavailable and apparently I mean if you watch that game which I watch that game Ravens versus Chiefs it was a very physical game he ran the football shitload he he had over 100 yards so it makes sense that he's sore now is he going to be ready to go by Sunday we'll see if he is not 100% though that definitely definit definely benefits the Raiders if you can make him a little more onedimensional where he has to throw the football we found out that is not his strong suit definitely in that uh Kansas City Chiefs game although he did make some good improvised throws but he's expected to return to practice after missing Monday session so maybe they had a off day on Tuesday and they're saying he was a little bit sore after the Baltimore opener we'll see I mean if you're not practicing uh if you miss a session on Monday I think that's a big deal you can say you're a little sore whatever you can make all these to be more like Luke gety with the Chicago Bears I don't know he he didn't look comfortable in preseason he lost the for a reason and I think we've learned in this past game that the Raiders offensive line is suspect so you're going to need somebody like mchu um with the suspect offensive line so so Vic I I think um yeah I think I think muu did kind of bail this out and it probably would have been worse without uh without muu here and I don't think ad no conell has a a deeper arm people say he has a deeper arm I don't think he has a a much deeper arm than um you know the menum Mania here so Power Rankings Ravens are third Raiders 22nd so far in the PFF Power Rankings defense though Raiders still close 13th it's just that offense the latest power ranking PFF for the Raiders offense is 29th that's third last in the NFL so literally if we just get that to 16 this could be a playoff team but the odds of that happening are not looking good and that is why the money line if you're putting scrilla on this game the Ravens are favored by almost 500 points the spread is 9 and a half right now we'll see if that changes based on Lamar Jackson's Health but keep in mind the Ravens lost last week they're going to be a little pissed off based on what happened and when you're looking at the QB Power Rankings it's not even close you got 28th compared to two wouldn't it be nice and I hate to bring this up wouldn't it be nice if we had a if we had a mother effer name daay [Laughter] I think we'd bridge that Gap a little bit more 28 to second when it turns to quarterback as long as Derek Carr is winning and the Raiders offense is not working out I'm GNA keep bringing this shit up because I'm not going to let people forget I'm gonna keep bringing this shit up because there's a lot of haters who said that he wasn't going to do shit we're better off with mchu and Jimmy Garoppolo and look what's happening and by the way as as this starts looking rough that week 17 game in in late December against the Saints that's going to be that's going to be a that's going to be a rough one I was hoping for an even matchup but now we'll see what happens though we'll see what happens Saints are playing the Cowboys we're going to be we're going to be checking that out and reacting to that live in addition to this Raiders and Ravens game and if the Saints be the Cowboys that's going to be a big deal and like I said earlier if the Raiders because i' I've had a lot of people say hey Derek car just got lucky against the Panthers well the Raiders are going to play the Panthers week three and and here's the thing this is why I'm jumping the gun so you could see see it up there we got the schedule probably going to lose to the Ravens that's what all the betting lines are saying let's just take the L there we're on the road it's in Baltimore early game East Coast this is going to be tough if the Raiders freaking beat the Ravens dude I I I don't know what I'll do maybe I'll have to shave my chest or something I do have some chest hairs I don't want to show you guys because we got we got the youth watching but then you're playing the Carolina Panthers if the Raiders lose to the Carolina Panthers week three at home in Las Vegas is season's over which is fine you know we could still watch people compete and and we still have a great defense and we got some good young players to look forward to but I think they'll be too demoralized to bounce back from that and then all the people who said Derek Carr played an easy team it's going to be like hey uh you know well do the Raiders get that dub did the Raiders get that dub oh my goodness we okay some of these questions is sha I I I I I I I can't answer that I can't answer that question for $2 if if it was more than $2 I would definitely answer that question but for $2 I can't sell my soul like that I'm sorry YouTube takes a cut too good thing we have live chat replay so if you're watching this later you can see what he says on the chat and hopefully it doesn't pop up on the screen but I think it will all right so looking at the lineup here the safeties did not do too well for the Raiders and also the linebackers around Spain and part of that was in the Run game you saw those long runs busted off there and the Raiders couldn't keep containment man you need that final line to keep containment when when Once the running back gets past the linebackers and Jim Harbaugh stayed committed to the run and it ended up you know biting the Raiders in the ass there towards the end defensive line still seemed like they graded well but you see Snowden the undrafted I'm not sure if he's undrafted but you see Snowden uh 2021 he's been in the league for a little bit you see Snowden had a bad grade and that's likely why the Raiders went and signed cevon Chason to fill in that role here and then that means you're going to have a better defensive line this upcoming game Jack Jones didn't have too good of a grade one of his more average grades luckily the NFL announced that they're not going to be giving out suspensions for that tussle they had in the Chargers game so that's good for Jack Jones good for the defense that got a little heated there and got let the emotions get to them really which if it happens again dude I think the NFL is going to lay down the law so they got to you know it's kind of like a strikes rule that pretty much gave a warning didn't give a suspension you got to watch out Ravens have Nelly agalar former Raider who had that career year with Derek Carr in 2020 man Derek Carr gave that guy some Elite numbers that year and now he's with the Ravens from what I've gathered GED from their last game he's mainly a blocker at wide receiver Z flowers though this dude looked dope in that past game uh against the Chiefs and they still have Mark Andrews here bro it is not about Mark Andrews anymore for the Ravens it is about that mother effer Isaiah likely he's not even right here let me see if I can grab him on a different Personnel yeah two tight ends okay here we go likely the number one graded tight end in the NFL if you're going to play Fantasy Football or anything don't get Mark Andrews get Isaiah likeley this guy was absolutely fire in this past game almost had the game-winning touchdown but his foot was a little too big I had my Ravens Chiefs recap on my channel not many people watched it because I accidentally posted it during the Packers game check that out man uh especially if you want to support me I put a lot of work into that and I broke down the Ravens versus Chiefs um and the Ravens L there oine not grading too well for the Ravens but when it comes to Ravens defense ran Smith not doing too well neither were the safeties you really had nobody grade well for the Ravens defense granted they're playing the Chiefs uh you saw Marlon Humphrey get burned by the Speedy wide receiver Xavier worthy you got adaf o The Edge rusher still grading well for the Ravens but the linebacker is not grading well safety's not grading well I think this is an opportunity where the Raiders need to try to run the football get back to that that's what we thought we were going to do and uh didn't really happen because the zamir white fumbles I think Alexander Madison for the Raiders is going to get the ball more and that's why you see him here in the lineup for PFF Dylan Parham had a good game Cody white here not a great game wonder if Jackson Powers Johnson the second round pick out of Oregon is going to start soon and maybe white hair is holding the team back there Jackson P Johnson didn't get too many reps though Devonte Adams not grading well neither was trade Tucker Brock Bowers graded well got to try to get the ball to these wide receivers Garden mchi obviously not grading not grading as bad as I thought he'd be grading and I actually thought he didn't have as terrible of a game you take away the fumble not too bad I think this o line needs to tighten up I think honestly biggest problem with the Raiders if I had to solve one thing to help the team the Run game going cuz if you get the Run game going that is going to help this offensive line pass block offensive line struggled pass blocking and run blocking the running back strugg struggled if I could literally wave a magic wand and fix one thing with this this offense and I'm only allowed to fix one thing don't I have no problem with Ben shuting the receivers right now I think that will gel eventually my problem is with the Run game we need to get a run game to take some pressure off menu take some pressure off this offensive line uh take some pressure off the these receivers allow them to get open let's let make the Ravens climb up in the Box here but this is going to be a tough task I think this defense is grading poorly here but I think this defense is a lot better that's than being let L on Kyle Hamilton a great safety obviously Marlon Humphrey's good we'll see what's happening with vanoi he got banged up in the last game uh Muk I always mispronounce his name I think he's a decent defensive lineman so um a little bit to worry about little bit to worry about I think ran Smith is way better than he's being graded right here uh one of the top linebackers in the NFL in my opinion so we'll see what happens OB maybe maybe the Chargers
