Why GEORGIA Football Could GO CRAZY in 2024 (Bulldogs Preview)

ever since Kirby Smart took over as the head coach at Georgia the Bulldogs have been a different monster for a little while we did not know if Kirby would ever get over the hump but in 2021 he finally won a national championship did it again in 2022 and honestly if Georgia would have made the playoff in 2023 I would have picked them to win at all the Bulldogs have truly become an Unstoppable Force as they have built pretty much everything in the trenches and done things the right way it would be crazy for me to think anything's going to change in 2024 as the Bulldogs return one of the best quarterbacks in the country brought in a really solid transfer portal have some really good players coming back and return right now the best coach in college football in today's video I want to preview the George Bulldogs where to go through their roster talk about what they gained and what they lost and then go through their schedule and talk about how I think they're going to do plus some situation I can cover next now let's get started and preview the 2024 Georgia Bulldogs okay so as always before we can talk about the 2024 season we need to talk about how Georgia did in 2023 as you guys can probably figure Georgia was expected to have a huge year after they had just won another National Championship over TCU the Bulldogs had a new starting quarterback in Carson Beck had a couple of good running backs in both dejon Edwards and Kendall Milton plus they brought in a couple of BigTime transfers including two big receivers R Thomas and Dominic lent in the Bulldogs first game of their 2023 season they ended up beating UT Martin 48 to7 they had then beat Ball State 45 to3 South Carolina 24 to4 in UAB 49 to 21 originally the Bulldogs were supposed to play Oklahoma but that ended up falling through because of all the conference reignment stuff and for a while Georgia was getting a ton of jokes about how they played pretty much nobody in popcorn state every week honestly it is a little bit annoying as basically the first month of the Season Georgia football was unwatchable the South Carolina game though was a little bit closer than many people expected their first test would come on the road against Auburn and in this game it actually went back and forth Brock Bowers ended up literally putting the team on his back and carry the team to a 27 to2 Victory from there they'd end up beating number 20 Kentucky 51-13 and that has seemingly become a usual thing for the Bulldogs ky's ranked and Georgia blows him out after that they go on the road to play Vanderbilt and surprisingly they only won this game by 17 points but the biggest loss from this matchup was Brock Bowers he'd ended up getting hurt in that game the Georgia receiving core took a big blow after that they'd play Florida and Jacksonville and they'd win 43 to2 before they had the game of the year in the SEC East against number 12 Missouri nobody really expected missou to be all that good and this game was actually really solid Georgia was in control for most of the game but down just a couple of points mou had a chance to go down and take the lead with just under 8 minutes to go fortunately for Georgia Brady cook threw a terrible interception to their big defensive lineman and then they ended up scoring and getting a couple of interceptions and 13 to 21 won after that they'd play against number nine Old Miss and this game was a complete let down I don't know why I even expected Old Miss to compete but Georgia won 52 to 17 and this was in Brock Bower's return after that they go on the road to play against number 18 Tennessee and just like Old Miss I did not think Tennessee had what it took to pull the upset off and they did not Georgia won 38 to10 and then they' finished the year playing a good Georgia Tech Team while Georgia Tech did put up a fight early on they ended up losing 31 to 23 honestly the month of November for Georgia was actually somewhat difficult and I have to give them credit for going through that schedule they played three top 25 teams and went on the road against two solid opponents they ended up going to the SEC Championship game and everyone expected them to win and then go on to the college football playoff sadly for Georgia fans they end up losing in number eight Alabama in sabin's last SEC Championship game they would lose 27 to 24 and they would have to miss out on the playoff again I think if Georgia would have gotten in they would have won the whole thing but because of a badly timed loss they would end up missing out they'd end up playing number five Florida state in the Orange Bowl and while Florida State fans will say the whole team opted out Georgia beat them so badly I don't think it would have mattered who was on the field they won 63 to3 and it was clear that Georgia was not happy ended up finishing number three overall in the country after going 13-1 with an eight no record in the SEC it's really upsetting because Georgia definitely deserved to be in the playoff and literally any other year moving forward they would be sadly it didn't end up happening but it was a good year Carson Beck threw for nearly 4,000 yards and 24 touchdowns deun Edwards and Kendall Milton ran for a combined 1700 yards with 27 touchdowns and then in terms of the receiving game Brock Bowers led the way with 56 catches and six touchdowns Dominic love it and Marcus roseme Jack Saint were second and then lad makoni was third on defense ta Smith ended up leading the team in tackles with 70 Jaylen Walker led the team in sacks with five and Kamari ler led the team in pass deflections with eight the defense was really solid once again and they decided to add another pretty good recruiting class when I say pretty good I mean they sign the number one overall class it's headlined by two top 10 players in Ellis Robinson and Justin Williams a couple of other five stars KJ Balin and Chris Cole and then just a loaded sheet of fourstar players in terms of the transfer portal they picked up 11 total transfers and the guys who in my opinion are most notable are Jaden Rado who was a former Blue Chip quarterback recruit from Arizona State you got Colin Gil a corner from Oregon Benjamin urasek a tight end from Stanford three really good skill players that make this team even better Trevor etn a running back from Florida Colby young a top 10 receiver transfer from Miami and London humph another top 10 receiver transfer from Vanderbilt and on top of that Xavier mleo a defensive lineman from South Carolina and Georgia just absolutely reloaded as we go through the offensive and defensive depth chart please bear with me as I am not a Die Hard Georgia fan so I don't know every single player when you take a look at the quarterback position it is honestly loaded you bring back Carson Beck who some believe could win the highman trophy this year and be the top quarterback in the the 2025 NFL draft and then behind him you have former five-star gunar Stockton incoming transfer Jaden rashada and true freshman Ryan pissy I think piss is injured but the quarterback room is completely fine for the Bulldogs honestly it's completely loaded in terms of the running back spot they will have to replace their top two guys from last year but they brought in Trevor etn who's projected to be the number one guy and then you have four players behind him who all be fighting for playing time you'll have both rodri and Branson Robinson cash Jones and and then chony Bowens all those guys should have a legit chance to play and at the receiver spot it's also pretty loaded in my eyes the starter at The X spot will be Colby young the senior transfer from Miami and the two backups behind him will be Rah Thomas from Mississippi State and true freshman n terion Tule from northern Indiana at the Y spot you'll bring back Dominic lit who I expect to be the number one receiver on the team and then behind him you'll have Anthony Evans and sovi white at the zspot I think there's a three-way battle to start there and that includes Dylan Arian Smith and London Humphries you also have Michael Jackson the third there and to me this the most intriguing battle on the offense in terms of the tight end spot they lost Bowers but they'll bring back Oscar Delp who many have been super excited for they have lost in Lucky who was a big time recruit command of high school and then true freshman Jaden Rell from St Louis should also get an opportunity to get on the field they also have that Stanford tight end and terms of the offensive line again bear with me I'm not a Die Hard Georgia fan but it looks like at left tackle it'll be Ernest Green at left guard it'll be Dylan Fairchild at Center it'll be Jared Wilson at Right Guard it'll be Tate rattled and then at right tackle it'll be Xavier truss honestly I cannot find a single weakness on the Georgia offense honestly Georgia's offense looks terrific in terms of the defensive side of the ball at defensive tackle you have Warren Brinson at nose tackle you have Nair Stackhouse at defensive end you'll have Mikel Williams and then at the jack spot you'll have Chaz chamblas chamblas is a great player at the money spot you'll have CJ Allen up next you'll have both CJ Allen and Jaylen Walker at the max spot you'll have smil mundan and then at the star spot you'll have Janelle Aguero looking at The Corner Spot you have dalen Everett and Julian Humphrey at strong safety you have Malachi Starks and then at free safety you have jakori Thomas once again I'm no expert but it looks like Georgia has literally no weaknesses so now that you know about the roster how is Georgia going to do on the field this year honestly the Georgia schedule is going to be pretty fun and week one they have to play against Clemson and this is a neutral sight game at noon this is probably the most high-profile game of week one and while in the past Clemson's been a different monster right now I just don't trust the Tigers and I think Georgia wins this game by two touchdowns we're going to need to see a lot more from Kade kumnick before I ever pick against Georgia in this game after that they'll come home and play against Tennessee Tech and there's no way they lose that then after that they go on the road to play Kentucky the most intriguing thing about this Kentucky matchup is that former five-star quarterback Brock Vandergriff will be the starter but other than that the game should be over by halftime Kentucky has never been to prove that they can even remotely compete with Georgia so there's no reason to pick this game for them that puts Georgia at 3 and0 before a huge Road match up against Alabama we don't really know what Alabama's going to look like under kayin dor but I still think they're going to be a top tier team in the SEC and probably win 10 games this is the second most difficult game on their schedule but I think Georgia wins Georgia is not happy about what happened in the SEC championship last year these two teams are essentially Rivals and Georgia I think is just better will it be close probably but I think Georgia wins after that they get to play Auburn at home and I have pretty much no faith in this Tigers team because as long as pton Thorn is the quarterback there's no way they do anything it's another win for Georgia and then they'll beat first year head coach Jeff Levy in Mississippi State that'll put the Bulldogs at 6 and0 going into the game of the year in college football in my eyes this will be an undefeated Georgia versus an undefeated Texas and this game is going to be absolute fireworks both Texas and Georgia are my top two teams to win a National Championship this year and while Georgia fans May hate me for this I'm going to pick Texas to win this game not only are they ridiculously good but they're also at home I also don't think that Georgia wins all four of these high-profile matchups they have so I'm going to pick Texas to win in a close one giving Georgia their first loss after that they play against Florida and that game will also be over by halftime following that you have their fourth high-profile game of the year as they'll go on the road to play against ol Miss ol Miss returns Jackson Dart brought in a loaded transfer portal class and is coming off a great season so old Miss is going to be expected to be a top 15 or potentially a top 10 team at this point the thing is though Miss never wins these high-profile games so I think Georgia goes in there and wins by two scores could it be close maybe but I think Georgia wins that one pretty easily after that they come back home and play against Tennessee and Tennessee is another one of those teams that I believe will be in the top 25 when this happens but I don't think there's any chance they win it give that win to Georgia and then they'll beat both UMass and Georgia Tech to finish the year some think the yellow jackets will be sneaky good but this game's at home and there's no way they drop it that means Georgia will go 11 and one with a birth in the SEC Championship where they could rematch against Texas and if they rematch against Texas I would probably pick them to win but I'm not even going to try to predict that stuff and we're just going to say that Georgia gets to the college football playoff everything would depend on matchups from there but Georgia is a team that I would expect to get to the national championship game would they win it I don't know but I expect
