Jenna Ortega interview about Ghosts and with the Cast of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

and by the way a whole other side know excuse me people congratulations to all of you I just want to start with that because it was fun yeah it was fun like at the end of it I walked on I was like wow why do I feel like I just had fun so I think that's a what was the impression that she left on you working with her for real I think it's immensely difficult to not fall in love witha I think I don't I don't know how we got so lucky because it was once had a moment to talk I felt like we just wouldn't stop and yeah it was an immediate connection and I think that that really influenced our chemistry on to to know her so what was it like uh having Katherine O'Hara as a dance partner well that was her I felt like I was following her did really I did it was one of my favorite you had lots of great ideas no it was equal it's one of my favorite memories from set cuz the choreographer was really cool and let us just kind of fool around and it was it was a trying to synchronize what airline I I would I I didn't get pat down or you know no sort of and you refused no but I I would do it then be like doe it get like it it became a thing and I was like please I'm late we're going refrain from s thank you but yeah that's awes that one work too oh yeah yeah that's good oh no that's cool oh well done thank you that's I want a picture like that H that you put in the oh I'm really bad at leaving candles burning oh god oh don't be good bless you I know um I'm trying to think oh it's blow out the candle blow out the candow out the candle took your mom's by the way um I don't early how wa to you you did a good impression the other day where it was like a yeah or you go ew or you just do it back you know what damn I wish I'd like known that when I was that age I just would let it yeah oh don't praise or applaud she didn't have to take her glasses off it was hot they looked cool I succumbed I took them off yeah I kept them on for a while I took them off then I I'll put it back on sorry yeah we do we did I we do come from like the Gen a generation where you say pretend you're having an anxiety attack if you see someone having an anxiety attack yes yes cuz they won't feel alone I know what you're trying to say it's it's kind of like looking after yourself treating yourself like you would a dear friend or like when you look at yourself in the mirror at the end of the day like you've got to be so it's like how take care of yourself the way that you take care of someone that you love crowdly I've been a crayon about five years in my life yeah my mom is a crayon box and me and my siblings are crayons and then we just didn't buy new Halloween costumes and I kept being different color crayons you're kidding me wait what color crayon were you I've been red blue you grew into different colors I've never met another year another year I was Rock Pap another year I was rock paper scissors with my siblings and I was The Rock I made it out of styr that's the most comfortable one I Gore oh that's good I I did all Bond villains oh very nice yeah well done in high schol just to make myself more of a Target thank you so much for your time it was so nice to meet you again yes like I'm going to try even a like what they call that's true well yeah I mean who knows what we put in it yeah probably undisclosed unised there's no apostrophe though oh it's not no no it's make it an I'll do this are you or two just one one yeah it means it means something different in my language too but still great to me everything that the sequel needed to be what has the response been like for you guys was it what you expected well yeah I mean it's been very exciting and very cool seeing people come out and you know signing stuff for people who are dressed as Beetlejuice and you can tell that you know obviously the film means a lot to the original they time it though you know what they do they kept the I'm sorry I interrupted they keep the lights they keep the lights on us and it was kind of remember said should we go now should we go now because they have to keep clapping nobody tells you anything either you just going to stand there and you and it's like they're was going no we're almost at 4: keep the light on go back and then it goes down I tried to re it going back to the Beetle Juice set for you was it was it really sort of nostalgic it was just fresh and lovely it was it was uh you know there'd been talk and then there was talk from the actual people who might be making it yeah Tim and uh then all of a sudden like now we're been wait for the sequel were you a fan of the original movie of course I was when I was younger it terrified me and I didn't want anything to do with it but then what at one point I was at a friend's house and I was man okay you got to T it through and then I realized that it it it it changed my life I feel like it was so inspiring and I had never seen anything like it before you know when you're young you don't associate names with anything so it's like I had seen checkered floors and the Crooked door you know everything about it it was it it's just been such an inspiration to so many things and so influential um and it really just opened my eyes to um a different kind of movie and a different kind of um job and I was a young person who really wanted to be an actor at the time so uh I I oh yeah I was about this earlier you shall I say just my or maybe my he would swing down a banister and uh wearing a Superman cape and would offer me grape juice and ask hey got any grape this is very specific but it was very in your face and like he go up and I would like scream cry I couldn't wake up and then he would do it again so it was like just on a loop I'm honored I'm but you look much nicer um and much friendlier that's good but you're just as sexy as the original you can a you can absolutely say still got I kept that questione for that moment if I got the approve if you didn't approve that I would I would have been it I would have absolutely been that question you brother no it's very there we go how was an sh that was very honest I appreciate it what was it like working with wiona wona is beautiful wonderful amazing one of the loveliest people I've ever met in my entire life I truly am so Charmed by her and I I feel so lucky and honored to know very self assured and opinionated and and strong in their beliefs because I think that's really important that young women see especially for a story that's so focused on women you know three generations of women I think that's really cool and important that Tim did that um but also Lydia loved strange and dark and unusual things and obviously it's very intimidating coming into a group like this they're all Giants and so good at what they do you're a legend oh AR I myself yes she does um she told me to say that okay cool yeah I mean she so easy to talk to and so easy to hang out with and so easy to work with and that's the way everyone was so that definitely helped I'm just going to use little bits of it little tiny bits of okay all I wonder if he was actually trying to real Us in I guess so by saying that because there it was true I'm could you imagine watching back all that footage that we said yeah that would be hell I'd love to see the a great job a great job at making that look yeah presentable what's up folks I'm Julian Marcus Shiro Barnum hi I'm Jenna Orga and we're in the park talking to kids today all about spooky creepy scary things yeah we're getting ready for my new movie Beetle Juice Beetle Juice which is in theater soon we hope you enjoy see you so our we doing he's Captain scolly bones oh my God classic he could be the co- Captain I'm the captain captain there you go these kids actually love spooky things they love ghosts way they love scaring people so I last time I kicked a ghost last time in the face so Jenna you have a lot of experiences with ghosts yes oh for sure are they good are they bad what do they want let's get into it uh zombies are fight them they'll think you're their you're their monster because you're fighting them that's so true what is spooky to you ghosts a lot of ghosts 100 ghosts coming in my door looking at me staring at me menacing the playroom are you okay yes it sounds traumatic that happen to you yeah no in theory if it did yeah that that would that would be the one yeah do you go in your playroom often sounds like it's maybe # haunted the Alexa on there is haunted most the Alexa is haunted how do you keep the Alexa away just stuck there forever with all the spiders right the spiders in 100 to 200 ghosts in my playroom with Alexa plus spiders directed by Leonardo Jenna what attracts you to spooky scary things cuz you do seem to have like a thing about it I love being scared I love the adrenaline that comes with being scared and the thing about being scared is often times it's excitement and you just don't know it oh that's but that's a genuine fear you should get under you should get underground if there's a tornado like I love twisters my God he sounded just like Beetlejuice that was such a good impression it's your done ju kind of noises do they make what are they doing oo that's good that's really good got no it's quiet so you can't hear it o quiet quiet when they you squeeze a beetle and it makes Beetle Juice right right I know you from four things Jurassic world that's my favorite no way stuck in the middle Wednesday oh W now Beetle Juice that's so cool that Jurassic world is your favorite though you like dinosaurs and all that I seen a um that if you were eating something and it would and it came alive it would be so crazy crazy are you afraid of ghosts no oh have you met a ghost my grand my grandma she visit you yeah a few days ago she's a red bird and she came to our house that's beautiful so then she came and she was chirping so loud either that or I would just want to be a classic ghost maybe I float a little I levitate I would do that too if I was a ghost I'd stunt if I could like access any old fashion I would not wear tattered clothing no ghost can like literally just grab a outfit from the store oh my God you've thought about this I would wear what you're wearing H really yeah I like this kind of style you know what thank you you know what this is this is actually an outfit from the first Beetle Juice is this the end of the movie Winona outfit yeah ah
