Miami Hurricanes CRUISE Through FAMU For an EASY Win | Recap & Reaction

you want to know what that tastes like it tastes like Victory the Miami Hurricanes get a big win over FAMU 56 to9 that's right the canes cover the spread they were favored by I believe 44 and a half so they win by 47 and I was pretty close man hey he I'm going to get myself a little bit of credit all right I didn't hit the nail on the head but I was off by a combined six points I had 52 to7 it was 56-9 what a glorious week two in the world of college football am I right Kane's fans we're undefeated we're two and 0 and not a lot of other teams can say that especially some of the teams that are on our schedule coming up here uh Georgia Tech lost to Syracuse they made a late push couldn't make it happen Notre Dame lost to Northern Illinois when I last checked uh Oregon was playing a close game with Boise State I thought for a moment USF might have Alabama but Alabama took over late in the game but anyways we're not here to talk about that right we're here to talk about this the Miami Hurricanes the orange out at Hard Rock stadium what a beautiful site first drive of the game fam comes out on a third and nine and linebacker Wesley Bain picks off Daniel Richardson I can't think of a better way to start the game it was so hype everybody was going crazy and and and Derek Nicholson the linebackers coach has praised Wesley bin all offseason he said you fans you better watch out for that guy you better be ready for the performance what you're going to see out of Bin and man he's been playing really hard some young Miami Hurricane got to play Jojo Trader got his first catch as a Miami Hurricane what else did we have uh Jordan Lyall the young freshman running back got his first touchdown as a Miami Hurricane making memories you know some big time things happening for the young Miami Hurricanes and we were hoping that's what was going to happen against FAMU right I mean this is a team that no disrespect the fam you I said it all week people said cool hey don't play around with FAMU like coup chill this team I look look I get it this doesn't derail their season at all they have big things coming they just can't compete with the canes it's understandable right when you have a man literally out there playing Superman yo cam Ward with his first rushing touchdown with the little Superman hurdling over guys cam listen yo I hold my breath every time you take off and and run with with the ball there now we know that's part of his game people were in my stream and they say CP let him do his thing that's what he does he extends plays he runs the ball I know I know but it scares me because I know one of the only things potentially that could really screw up this season is injuries and every team's got to deal with that you know I get it but yo Cam man first rushing touchdown that was crazy to see uh what else could happen in this game we got to see running back Chris Johnson with a big time kick return these teams are going to learn man I hope they don't actually as a matter of fact I hope they don't but they're going to learn you don't kick it to Chris Johnson I'm telling you and Man Ray Ray's working hard out there with some of those returns as well with with the punts and with kickoff stuff like I I see you Ray Ray I see you it's only a matter of time before you break one off and you take it to the house but what a performance from cam MO I mean we're talking 689 total yards so far in two games six touchdowns and only one interception it's so refreshing man there's so many times that when he's when he's throwing that deep ball I am used to freaking out I'm used to thinking that it's going to be an interception on the other side there once the camera pans over right but I feel much more more confident when kward is out there tossing the ball around it's it's just such a it's such a nice feeling uh jayen Rivers didn't play in this game but it means we got to look at the 6'9 left tackle marel Bell I think that he did all right obviously you know we need to see more out of him we love Rivers but we did get a look at him and can we say n not yet not yet I was going to say can we say that tight end U is back that's a stretch pump the brakes Coupe but we are using the tight ends again I mean Elijah Roo scored the first touchdown of the game cam McCormack scored the first touchdown of the game last week Williams caught a pass look we already have more receptions by the tight ends in two games than we had for the entire 2023 season it's that that's just insane right and Tyler mother freaking Baron three sacks in this game I don't know what these teams were thinking you know not showing interest and him talking about the extra baggage maybe that he brings and stuff I that I swear that dude's wingspan is is the length of of my entire body the dude is is an absolute Game Changer and that dline is just as advertised and right now Ruben Bane is out he's not even playing so when Ruben G Ruben Bane gets back in the rotation man it's going to be good stuff but this was not all perfect you know I know that I'm forgetting some things we're going to talk about the stats I'm a little distracted we got more football up on here Tennessee whooped up on NC State uh we're going to look at the stats from the game but I do want to touch on some of the some of the things that weren't so perfect and I I rarely do this in instant React videos but I made a couple notes here just so I didn't forget we had four times the amount of penalties in this game than we had last week now now granted two penalties is really low you know and especially against the in state rival would play in a team like Florida that was pretty crazy to see only two penalties but to go from two to8 the following week against an FCS opponent that was 58 total yards and a lot of those were Silly penalties right personal foul calls and things like that you don't want to see that like if that jumped for like four or six hey you know two is pretty crazy but eight I know Mario was really upset over it they you know they talked about when they went into halftime the energy wasn't where he wanted uh the way too many penalties and the Run game was not there in the first half anyways in the second half you started to see the difference in depth you know in the trenches FAMU just got way too tired and we we knew that was going to happen you know we knew that was going to happen they could compete a little with the skill positions more on that just a moment but trenches they they could couldn't handle the big dogs at Miami but first half I think uh run blocking was a bit of an issue because we know that Damen Martinez has got it we know that Fletcher's definitely got it so it that's got to be a little bit better all four quarters because that's going to be a big problem when we when we you know go up against those ACC teams it's it's going to be tough sleding there against those FAMU did hit Miami with some deep balls that a 34 yard R in there a 29 y to Quan Lee but I'll be real I expected that I did expect that they have Playmakers at the skill position they they have Ballers on the outside so I did expect that to happen at times but it does have to be cleaned up it absolutely has to be better it was looking real suspect there in the first half wasn't it real real suspect you know that Mario gave him a good talking to at halftime you could tell the team came out fired up in the second half of the ball game but Daniel Richardson had completed 76% of his passes in the first half so it was looking kind of like people were like whoa like Co Miami's up Miami's up 25 to6 going into half but it should be way way more than this and I kept saying as long as they double up on this give me at least a 50 burger then I'll be all right and at that point they gave up three points to FAMU in the third and a big goose egg in the fourth FAMU decided to sit Richardson because they have you know big goals this season you don't want to get him hurt obviously you weren't going to win this game so that that that move made a ton of sense that's very smart from from their head coach KY but then Miami really took over 21 in the third uh 10 in the four so that's 31 total points in the second half of this ball game so really strong showing in the second half that run game picked up Fletcher really helped with that BR we're two and0 we're 2 and 0 we are undefeated right now going into a ball State game another game at Hard Rock stadium we're feeling good and we should and I'll say exactly what I said last week I'm proud of this football team I'm proud of the coaches you know the prep work that they put in to prepare for these teams they're putting the players in the best position to shine and to win these football games and we're again we're going to talk stats our guy Xavier Restrepo had his second game with over 100 yards if you think that he's not going to reach 1,000 yards this season well I don't know what you're thinking because he absolutely is going to uh Miami eight of 12 on third downs I'm not complaining that that's not bad that that's great honestly that's that's great I'll take that every single game we did have the little scenario where we tried to go forward on Fourth a couple times didn't convert either one of them there was the weird one where we had the penalty and it is what it is I liked Mario testing the team I think that's why we went for it early on on that fourth down when we had one early in the game it was like fourth and four fourth and three I don't remember the details but imagine later on in the schedule you know that's a potential game winning drive or a game tying Drive late in the game you want to test your team here against these FCS opponents right and see if they can make it happen and unfortunately we did not but 549 total yards of offense in this game 324 of that was passing 225 was rushing again going into halftime don't quote me on this stat but I think we might have had under 50 rushing yards no I I don't know it was not a lot it was not a lot but that's 5.9 yards per carry I'll take it we won the time of possession battle so that's always nice to see Damen Martinez led the way with with rushing but Fletcher right there behind him as well with 42 Restrepo 104 yards here's what I want you to see this is what it was this this is what it was like last week right look over at F's list all right over here now look at Miami's list over here this is what I want to see I I want this list to be real long every week I want this thing to have a ton of names on it I want to have to scroll to be able to see all of them I don't want them to all fit on the screen at once here but man Nik car had a catch Ray Ray JoJo Elijah Lofton you love to see that and a lot of people were talking about Sam Brown versus you know Isaiah Horton we expected big things out of Isaiah Horton you know and and I you know he's going to start taking up some snaps he is uh Sam Brown but we also see what Sam Brown does you know in the Run game with blocking and stuff downfield uh I still think he's a great football player I four for 35 is not bad but Restrepo four for 104 and a touchdown Horton four for 66 Elijah rooo had that touchdown Chris Johnson Jr had the touchdown just all around a great game we got to see reys pener uh a man of many names right the pfff Meister PFF PFF pass he has a lot of nicknames he went six of seven for 20 I'll take it he had the weird one where know that ball just it just fell out you know I I don't know what happened it just slipped out it is what it is uh but he got to come in and and get a little bit of of Play Time Sachs again Tyler Baron leading the way just absolute monster but let's not forget Justin Scott had a sack as well and so did Elijah Austin I don't I don't want just one or two of these guys to overshadow everyone else because there are a lot of guys on that D line that are putting in work we got to see who else we got to see popo out there uh we got to see we got to see Hayes a decent bit that man just all around all around I'm just I'm I'm I'm staring at at the numbers here uh Bor Gallas it is one field goal five of five on extra points I mean what do you want me to say what do you want me to say I mean listen it's the Florida A&M Rattlers I totally get it there there will be the negative NES the Karens the the opposing teams fans that are hating because they love the excuse me they don't love they love seeing Miami lose and they hate seeing Miami win they got nothing to say right now because we're winning football games and what's important to me is beating the teams that we should be in the way that we should beat them which is exactly what we did by winning 56 to9 against FAMU that's what I want to see out of this football team I'm proud of them I'm excited one game at a time one week at a time but we are two and 0 and not everybody can say that I'm sure I missed some things I know there were a lot of things that happened in this game uh fill me in let me know your thoughts and reactions it's always just a quick instant reaction look I film
