DraftKings NASCAR DFS Picks | Quaker State 400 | Atlanta

Intro what's up everybody Welcome to the video we're kicking off the 2024 NASCAR playoffs this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Quaker State 400 this will be on Sunday September 8 around 300 p.m. Eastern and the first race in the winter was obviously absolutely awesome with the three-way finish at the End by like 01 Daniel sware has got the win just over Ryan blay and Kyle Bush but with this being the playoffs I'm hoping once again we're going to get another great race and also if this happens to be your first time here which I highly doubt at this point of the Season since football has started but my name is Chris Pell I break down NASCAR and now NFL DFS each and every single week on this Channel unfortunately no live streams during football season but still plenty of content for you guys to come in and check out and really quick I gave a shout out to last week's comment contest winner who was the highest on Kyle larsson's projected laps Leed he had over 200 and lson led 263 I believe just an absolute butt weapon on the entire field unfortunately did not get the win at the end probably deserved it him or Denny Hamlin but what you know Chase Brisco stole the show at the end to punch his ticket into the playoffs and if you want to have a chance to win this weekend all you got to do is comment down below who you think is going to lead the most laps and how many and the winner we get a cash prize if enjoy make sure you like down below subscribe chel if you're brand new let's dive right into it all right let's talk some strategy here for Atlanta because Strategy this is a very tricky track and also we don't have the largest sample size of races here it's a newly reconfigured track so if you're looking at any data prior to 2022 in the next gen era completely useless used to be a high Tire Weare 1.5 M track those days are gone this is now a mini Daytona mini Super Speedway if you will now I don't fully expect it to have like half the field wreck out we have seen some more comma races in terms terms of cars or the amount of cars I should say dnfing the races can still be a bit chaotic but they're really not wrecking each other as much so like Daytona a couple weeks ago it's nice that we had a super spe recently because we can kind of compare the two so for Daytona I'm loading up on guys like beach and McLoud Joey case and all those scrubs in the back because there's going to be a big one at some point there's going to be multiple at Atlanta I'm not 100% sure if that is even going to happen the place differential plays are still the best route to go but we have seen the Ro be optimal before because they let all the laps and they just happen to finish one two could that be a more extreme example yes that's possible but when you don't have a large data set to look at it's hard to make too many conclusions so I don't really think anyone has a great idea on how to play Atlanta just know I would say the drivers that tend to be the best at Super Speedways even if they are starting in the top 15 top 20 I'd be more inclined to play them than I would at say Daytona not really planning on loading up on guys like a bej McLoud I I'm don't really know all the scrubs in the back I completely forget off the top of my head but you know like Cody wear those types I don't really try to load up on them at these tracks if you have some Elite level drivers starting in the 20s depending on qualifying yes you can play them Eric Jones starting 30th for example if they happened to be a thing he would be in play so Place differential is still important Downer points don't really matter as much CU we're still Drafting and the fast laps are going to be completely spread out and there's obviously always going to be plenty of guys that can lead laps at a track like Atlanta so yes I am more inclined to play these Elite level superp drivers because you know guy like Ryan blenny can just kind of run the field Pensky ra kaslowski those types of guys so it's not fullon Daytona or Talladega type builds a little bit of a mix between drivers that just happen to be good at Super sways and place differential and that's really the best way I can put it and even me saying it kind of confused myself all right moving Driver Breakdown on to the driver by driver breakdown I did to mention one thing first I know football season is here but if L of Stack Up the best in tournaments just make sure you tell them I sent it and we'll both be set up well all right so qualifying just ended a few moments ago obviously no practice here for Super Speedway so this is our first time running through it together which it will probably be a quicker video cuz it's really just all about the starting positions like yeah we can look at track history but let's be honest the super seedway it just doesn't always mean that much I would say it might mean a little bit more Atlanta than it would at Daytona or Talladega because we really wouldn't expect this to be a complete wck Fest where we lose half the field but it's also possible at the same time it's just we don't exactly know what to expect here for Atlanta because every time we go toona we know we're like we're losing half the field T it can be a little bit H Hit or Miss but there probably will be a big wreck at some point Atlanta uh just not 100% sure what to expect so it's it's interesting that's for sure but we're going to start with the five figure range first obviously all these guys are great at Super spe there's a reason they're this expensive but start with Ryan bla obviously I know we have a big glaring Red Bar here of den H starting 38th we'll talk about him in a second but Ryan blay starting in second I honestly think if it was a perfect world there was no chaos he probably wins the race I could see him being the early Dominator forwards are usually very strong here and can control the race for the most part if you're looking at this five race sample size of Atlanta races in the next gen it's hard to find a better driver than Ryan bunny is the best average running position the best average driver rating four top 10s two top fives like he is my projected winner but starting in second you need a lot of laps LED and you really need him to finish top three if not win the race so there's a lot of risk here if this was Daytona I would have absolutely 0% Ryan blay but since this is Atlanta I think I might have some in mme I don't think I'd play them in a single entry because I can play keslowski who has very similar upside here here at Atlanta but he starts 17 spots further back like I love Kowski in this race I like him more than Ryan blay I like him more than Joey Lano I would say Lano and blay are those drivers that really need to dominate and win the race and even then you're not getting those fast laps so they absolutely have to finish up front meanwhile Brasi and Denny hman are certainly the preferred options especially Denny you're wondering what happened they weren't entirely sure Denny said he felt like he heard like a popping noise or some issue when he started up on Pit Road then obviously they weren't up to speed during the qualifying lap assuming everything's good to go tomorrow he starts dead last he's one of the best drivers at these tracks I mean yeah he's pretty much I don't want to say the word lock because a lot of things going to happen in NASCAR for cash games he's a luck it doesn't matter if you finishes 38th or first I mean you just have to play dny hman tournaments though there's so many other PD plays where it could make sense to get away from him if he finishes 26 and there's an issue he won't be optimal but and the floor is high the ceiling is extremely high I mean yeah he's going to be the highest own driver for good reason so love C love hm in this price range dropping out of the K drivers not a lot of v and Larson here very cheap on fandel 8200 bucks but man he's just awful the superu he's terrible Daytona terrible Talega and then we're looking at Atlanta by very sample size average finish at 28 running position is not that great either one top 15 finish was not pretty for Larson Chase Elliott one of the best superp drivers great Atlanta I believe he was AAL here on the pole before starting in 16 very similar play to Kowski I have exposure to him I have some exposure to Byron as well you dominate this race in the past I believe he won maybe a couple times here Atlanta let me see if I have it yeah two wins two top fives and also the second most laps LED so I will have some Byron exposure I'll have some busher exposure if you're going to give me a Ford like one of the top tier Fords starting mid pack like with keslowski yeah I'll have some interest for sure dropping down to the 8K range Kyle bus also one of the better drivers at Super Speedways almost won this race early in the year threeway tie pretty much T Suarez and Ryan bla starting in 15th it's going to keep him lower own but I would view him as a pretty similar play to busher I know he didn't make the playoffs but I know he wants to keep that win streak alive so don't think Bush isn't going to be trying and then reic Bell and TRX I feel like we just kind of have to say all these guys are pretty much the same exact play because they're starting in the 20s they're all on the same team well re's not exactly on the same team but pretty much all the Toyotas are I guess Legacy is probably kind of the odd man out there but 2311 JDR basically the same thing here I would say Bell is probably the best play cuz he starts the furthest back and it's really as simple as that reic and Bell both finish pretty well at Daytona as well tr's usually the one that's a little bit more snake bitten at these super Speedways but really just all kind of the same play here Ros chest St I'm sure he's going to try helping out down with Suarez Ross missed the playoffs Suarez is in it so I'm sure mostly the attention on track house is going to be on Suarez so probably a lot of interest in Ross but the thing is he's been really good at Atlanta same for Suarez for whatever reason track house has performed very well at this track but if I had to pick between the two I mean I like all the toas above rash ching and then also just like some of these 7K drivers above him like if you're playing m 20 Max like he'll filter in lineups for sure but he's not like a complete standout play 7K range for Wallace he also missed the playoffs he's starting in 24th he's a good super spray driver I mean yeah he's basically the same thing as the other toyot right above him Michael McDow on the pole I'm not going to play him I realized he's probably going to be fast he is probably going to lead some laps but pretty much has to win the race and I would say chances are he doesn't win the race if he does even then it's not a lock that he's optimal depending on how many laps he led D Suarez starting in 30th probably one of the better players in the SL he is in the playoffs so he has plenty of motivation to do well here also has the second best average finish I believe only behind Ryan blay and just in front of Chase Elliot like pretty good company to be in obviously won this race in the winter three top fives and five races four top 10 for whatever reason D Suarez performs well here starting in 30th he would be fine for cash syndric just starting a little bit far up for me like gpp pull in 150 sure but I assume all the Fords up front legano blay Kowski um well Kowski is not up front but sendrick they're just going to form a train especially with Gillan and Michael MCD will'll probably run the show for a bit just not L of upside starting in fifth Tai Gibbs same categor as their Toyotas they're all kind of qualifi around 20th not a lot of great qualifying speed but I'm sure they'll be fine during the race brisco's far up for me and Shout out for him dunking on me last week and I wasn't going to play any Brisco and he ends up winning the race at the very end so you know it happens but whatever Alex Bowman starting in 11th a lot of interest there 6K range we have Eric Jones in 33rd and yeah I'm going to play a lot of Eric Jones he is good at these drafting tracks and he's been very good Atlanta five R sample size average finish of 12th running position of 19th but he has four top 15s in five races he's pretty solid cash play in my opinion gillan's too far up for me let a lot of laps here in the winter though as well I keep W to say spring but pretty sure was in February Ricky SOS Jr I feel like he always qualifies in the back of these drafting tracks and he's going to have up side Austin Dylan no thank you gon's far up for me Sam Josh Barry Cory Le Joy he's in play very very good here averaging nearly 50 DraftKings points per race average finish this out the top 15 also have two top fives out of him as well obviously not in the playoff picture but winning a race still goes a long way for these teams so starting 25th L joy in play Harrison Burton did win the last drafting track but I don't think lighty's going to strike twice then Haley in 29th honestly thought he was about to win Daytona for a little bit obviously that didn't happen end up wrecking out but was running well starting 29th he is in a Ford obviously not in RFK or a Pensky but still in a Ford nonetheless and he should be able to move up Ryan priest isit far up for me SVG I just don't really see myself playing if this was Daytona I would say Absolut load up on the Y McLoud where a Smith of the world but this not being Daytona not as much interest you can still get exposure to them if they happen to just the idiots all happen to wreck out and these guys can get 20 spots somehow sure but it's not something I'm completely banking on for this race I say my favorite options would be host ofar joh her n because I think they have up upside if there's if it's Fest or not either way with that Outro being said that's all I got for you guys this week I know it was a quicker video but really at these super Speedways we just can't break down speed or really track
