>> AND AS WE KNOW, FRONTING CAUSED WIDESPREAD FLOODING AND POWER OUTAGES IN NEW ORLEANS IN AMERICAN TRAIL. AND CITY EMERGENCY MANAGERS JUST WRAPPED UP A NEWS CONFERENCE DISCUSSING CLEANUP EFFORT SAID EVERY JYNNEOS KENNY LOPEZ BEEN OUT ALL MORNING SURVEYING THE DAMAGE HE WAS THERE. HE JOINS US LIVE FROM CITY HALL. KENNY. >> THAT'S RIGHT. LBJ AND AMY AT 11:30PM, THIS TEAFRNN OO DATOY, GOVEORRN JF EFLANDRY WILL BE HOSTING A PRESSER TO DISCUSS THE RECOVERY EFFORTS AT THE SAME TIME, MAYOR LATOYA CANTRELL AND OTHER CITY LEADERS WILL ALSO BE DISCUSSING THE RECOVERY EFFORTS HERE IN NEW ORLEANS. FIRST WILL GO TO THE GOVERNOR. THEN WE'LL GO TO THE MAYOR NOW AHEAD OF TODAY'S PRESSERS. I WANT TO SHOW YOU SOME VIDEO. STORM DAMAGE COULD BE SEEN THROUGHOUT NEW ORLEANS. THE BIG PROBLEM RIGHT NOW IS POWER BEING OUT AND JEA SAYS AROUND 50,000 ARE WITHOUT POWER, UPTOWN, SEVERAL AREAS ARE STILL WITHOUT POWER AND THERE WERE EVEN TREES DOWN LIKE THIS GIANT OAK TREE ON SOUTH CLAIBORNE AVENUE RIGHT ACROSS FROM 2 LANES YOURMAN STADIUM TRAFFIC NEEDED TO BE REDIRECTED. IT WAS CAUSING A BIG INCONVENIENCE, ESPECIALLY FOR TRUCKERS. NOW TODAY AT THE MAYOR'S PRESS CONFERENCE, LEADERS ARE EXPECTED TO DISCUSS WHEN RESIDENTS CAN EXPECT TO GET THEIR POWER BACK ON. AND WE DO KNOW THE ENTERGY CREWS DID START WORKING ON THE RESTORATION AROUND 5 THIS MORNING. NOW EARLIER, CITY LEADERS SAID THAT THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HURRICANE IDA AND HURRICANE FRANCINE IS THAT DURING HURRICANE IDA, IT WAS TRANSMISSION LINES THAT WERE DOWN. THOSE ARE THE BIGGER LINES. AS FOR HURRICANE FRANCINE, IT IS THE DISTRIBUTION LINES WHICH ARE THE SMALLER HOME TO HOME LINES. SO THOSE LINES SHOULD BE EASIER AND FASTER TO FIX, OF COURSE, WILL BE GETTING AN UPDATE ON EVERYTHING STORM-RELATED TODAY AT 11, 30 RIGHT HERE AT CITY HALL. YOU CAN FOLLOW ALL THE INFORMATION ON WGNO TV AND WGNO DOT COM. BACK TO YOU, AMY LBJ. ALL RIGHT. THANKS SO MUCH, CANDY. >> AND RTA BUS SERVICE HAS RETURNED ON A LIMITED SCHEDULE. SO THE SCHEDULE INCLUDES ROUTES ALONG
