Inoue TKOs Doheny | Canelo vs Berlanga Prediction | UFC 306 O'Malley vs Dvalishvili Prediction

Intro [Music] welcome to the fight with Teddy allas presented by Dynamic striking I'm Ken R out joined as always by the voice of all Combat Sports the legend Teddy atas Teddy how you doing I'm I'm doing good um I want to know how you did your race we kept it fresh I don't Know full disclosure I do not know how you did in your race in Africa all I know is that you survived the zebras the giraffes and most importantly you stayed the hell away from the lion preserve um which was very smart it was it was very smart uh so that's I want to hear uh in a you know tight way but I want to hear the details nonetheless of how you did in that race what place did you come in what was the experience like and um congrat congatulations on Surviving it thank you I finished third overall out of 100 plus people uh two young guys beat me one a kid from Taiwan won it and a guy from Russia came in second I was in second probably most of the day I thought I could get second the kid the Taiwanese kid probably beats me 10 out of 10 times super strong athlete the Russian um I made her the course is marked with like chalk and uh I went the wrong way at one point and the Rangers that were supposed to be directing us just watched me go the wrong way and the Russian saw me go the wrong way and he went the right way and instead of waiting for me to get back up with him he took off running typically if someone makes a wrong turn you'd be like H I had a probably a kilometer half a mile lead and instead of letting me get back up with him he saw my mistake and like just attacked and and took off racing and as I tried I caught back up to him and by the time I caught back up to him I was so destroyed and he got away from me for for a couple minutes so he ended up beating me over the 5 days 150 mil um it was hard it was hot um but like all like these races all the time the hardest part for me is being away from My Wife and Kids being in a tent in Africa questioning my sanity and you know sometimes I just think I'm doing these things to remind myself of how lucky I am to number one be able to do those things and number two to have the family and the friends that I have have here and I don't know sometimes when I get too comfortable at home these challenges kind of remind me that uh I'm alive and uh to appreciate the things that I have so overall very good experience I would have liked to have won obviously but um I ended up in third place thank God when you went the wrong way you didn't go towards the elephants or the you know t uh Lions I mean did or did you did you go towards them and then is that why you're so tired you out ran a l in on the third day I was in second by like 2 minutes so I went out as super hard at the beginning 30 m stage and I was bombing down a mountain and again the the the course is just marked with little chalk markings where they the Rangers put it down it's not like we're out in the bush sometimes it's not even on a trail it's just through the grass and I missed a turn going downhill and I went and I went racing down the wrong side of this like kind of mountain and the Rangers in a for in a a Defender a a Land Rover Defender came racing up and we like hey turn around you went the wrong way and I'm like oh [ __ ] I ran downhill too far now I have to run back up the hill so when I get back to the camp the guys were all there and huddled around all the Rangers and the organizers And when they see me they're like Ken do you know how close you came to getting squished and I'm like yeah I went the wrong way down the hill I almost died trying to get back onto the course they're like no when you did that turn I when I made the turn and started coming back there were helicopters and airplanes that would like divert the animals if they close to the course like elephants Lions whatever and I and they said you see the helicopter I said yeah I saw him come swoop in low but I thought he was just taking pictures cuz that's they were that's what they were doing in addition of diverting the animals he said no no when you made the wrong turn we hadn't cleared that area and you ran right up like within 50 yards of a herd of elephants and when they saw you you spooked them they started running and the helicopter swooped in between you and the elephants and slowed them down but they said if we did if they didn't see you you would have run right into to those animals and they might have stomped you out and I was like well at that point when I made the wrong turn I probably was hoping they would stomp me out I was so mad at myself but it was incredible saw everything rhinos giraffes zebras everything wow no Lions but everything but I'm glad there were no cheaters there because the cheetah is the fastest animal on land and E and even you could not run a cheetah so so that that is good um and I'm glad I'm glad that they you know the elephants didn't squish you um that's so what do you get for that do you get a purse do you get I know you're building up sponsorships you're getting sponsorships and you're doing all that which is of course money and all good but do you get do you get a purse is there like a do you get paid no not not at this race you don't I have done some that have have had purses but not at this one but um I've got a message for you from Cameron I told you last week about his football that he went down there with visions of playing a skilled position and they were just sticking him at nose guard kind of like you know he's a little kid he's he doesn't have a lot of experience he wasn't hitting really well and they were sticking him at nose guard and I was like part of me was like trying to protect him like Kim you sure you want to keep doing this this is demoralizing and he was just super positive about it and kept going back and I he was much more positive than I was I was like really losing my patience with the whole situation I come home D he's like Dad we won a game they let me run the ball two times first one I ran 50 yards and the second one I ran 10 yards for a touchdown beautiful which to me one minute he's playing nose guard for like you know 20% of the game then I come home and he's like that I scored a touchdown and he said to me make sure you tell Teddy that when you see him that I scored my first touchdown that's great so he was super excited to tell you that tell him I'm proud of him but tell him that's what you call taking advantage of opportunity he finally got his opportunity yeah and he didn't squander it he went in there and showed them well he showed them what he could do and now shame on them if they don't yep give him more time at running back I mean really then yeah then you could only say well they don't want to win but uh yeah but that's great that's tremendous other than not running into the elephants that's the best news I've I I could be given to be honest with you and tell very very very proud of him and I I want to let's get to this week before we get to this week let me just say that uh great job last week to you and Teddy Jr I enjoyed watching you guys work together um I saw most of the episode from the airplane and um congratulations Teddy Jr he did an awesome job and um I sent him a text yesterday but well done I enjoyed seeing you get to do work with your son congratulations ations thank you it was great it was a lot of fun we're going to we're going to do it more often we're going to do it periodically where we're going to pick spots for Teddy to come on the show with all of us with the three of us where we're here join in with us matter of fact we got him schedule for next week uh after the Vegas show I'm going out to Vegas Wednesday to uh to cover that for ESPN cover the spears show the the headline of course om Al and morab and my son will be with me so I figured that'll be a good one to bring him back we have him talking about the experience of the first ever sporting event at uh at the spear and what it looks like and what $20 million worth of uh preparation and gadgets that Dana White and UFC put into it to get it ready what that looks like and what that feels like and sounds like so we have teddy with us you know talking about that talking about the fights um and also talking about the the Canelo fight too which is the same night and and you know maybe even talking about who won that fight and I don't mean the Canelo fight I mean a fight between boxing and UFC Canelo versus UFC and you know Dana White if you will because uh it's on Mexican Independence Day there's a lot of edges towards Canelo I mean he is the pay-per-view King in boxing uh he's got a massive great Mexican audience uh and overall audience and it's a it's it's a really good undercard I mean they have a really good undercard which the only time we get good undercards has been the last year when tury Al she came along and started giving us better undercards other than that really the undercard were Cannon fed they were you know they were speaking of lions they were they were like lion meat uh for the for the top prospects of the promoter to just get a win on on a big card on a vis you know with visibility on a card that had visibility but now it looks like uh hymon and Company with Canelo they're following suit like Al alisik and they're they actually given us a good under card which again boxing had not been doing that for forever so uh yeah that that's good in you know so it's going to be interesting to see who does better look it's already been chronicled that UFC had to drop their ticket prices they were very high they dropped some of their ticket prices boxing of course the ticket prices were not nearly so that's obviously a big help towards Canelo and his card that the prices are cheaper um and the prices are so high obviously for UFC and being at the spear and all that and it's on Independence Mexican Independence Day that helps of course uh the the Canelo cause um you know and like I said they have a really good undercard uh I I think that the undercard for morab and and om Ali might not a lot of people might not think it's up to par to some of their undercards uh it's a good undercard but it it's not it might not be what people want it to be and be quite at that Stratosphere of cards that you get at UFC I guess I guess that could I guess that could be uh I guess that would be fair to say but we we'll see don't forget at the end of the day before you can really judge who's going to win between UFC and Canelo you got to see the pay-per-view numbers that has to come in to really really truly weigh in on who wins so we're we'll be here next week with my son with us doing that and hopefully we'll have a lot of good stuff to report on but we got we got some good stuff to talk about here Takei vs Higa yep let's jump into it let's talk let's uh start with the the uh inway card starting with the uh co-feature Teo hega loses a unanimous decision to your Shiki takai I know you saw that fight what' you think it was a great fight great finish great finish great fight uh takai he is a softb he's the champion he's now 10 and0 with eight Knockouts bent aweight WBO bent weight champ uh hagga is an WBC flyweight Champion he's 213 and one with 19 Knockouts uh really really contrasting Styles takai is a guy that real long arms likes to control range uh catch catch you on the way in keep you at the end of his punches if he can but the problem with takai he's got a defensive floor in his style he drops his hands and kind of gives up that advantage of you know keeping range by throwing straight punches he drops his hands to throw uppercuts he loves the uppercut drops his hands and he gives up he does something I always talk about not let my Fighters do he gives up defense farest he does it all the time and he does it to the point where you could depend on it where you could time him you could punch him between his shots uh you can catch him going straight back with his hands down he goes straight back on the line uh you know you can time him and it took it took a while for haga to really get into stride into gear although he was catching him in spots but early on I thought takai was winning the fight with controlling the range to the most part Landing big uppercuts and you know those kind of uh punches he he is a real he he is an a takai is a action fighter action offensive fighter and part of the action and part of the the mistake about him part of the really the draw the what makes you like watching him is his defensive flaw because while he's giving you that offense and he's giving you all that action he's giving you chances to hit him so early on he's he's ahead in a fight but then hagga came on like a freight train down the stretch you know applying pressure all night trying to wear him down and it looked like it was finally paying off where he was getting the pressure was starting to wear down to Kai he was he was starting to get to him catching him really big shots um and like I said coming on like a freight train down a stretch knowing that he was behind on the cards or figuring he was behind on the cards and it really culated into where higga drops to Kai with a left hook behind the a his his legs went out from under but it was a it was a legitimate knockdown he caught him behind the a with the left hook he drops takai and now you got to wonder wow wow um takai gets up he's got all the heart in the world as does Higa that's why it was a great fight takai gets up real drama he gets up and comes out in the 12 and I always talk about it Ken it's not just enough to Fight Like A Champion it's about behaving like one and he behaved Like A Champion oh my goodness takai comes out with a Relentless like almost frantic but but a Relentless attack like like he knew he knew that this title was being threatened after that 11 round knockdown and he knew what he had to do he knew how he had to act he had to act like a guy who wanted to keep his title and damn it he did he came out there like I said in a like almost desperation and just with with just Relentless pressure and punches uh he did to higga what higga had been doing to him and he flipped it around and he just he he just he was he was like a tidal wave of of pressure and energy and determination it was really something and hagga showed tremendous heart to deal with it to survive it to not get dropped he came close to being dropped in that last round it was a tremendous finish by the champion tremendous fight by both guys really was the ex-champion trying to become the champion again and teai uh saving his title at the end having to do what he had to do to to keep that title it was a it was a terrific the scores were 115 112 114 113 114 113 so if he doesn't come back the champion obviously with those 114 113 scores uh he loses he loses title yep he he loses title um I'm doing the match right it doesn't become a draw right he he actually yeah he would lose his title so he knew what he had to do he knew how he had to behave he knew you know exactly what was at risk and it was really it was something to watch it really was I thought that he came back so strong in that 12th round that could have been a 108 round but the judges they didn't make it a 108 they made a 10-9 which is I guess right um but it was close to being that dominant even without a knockdown to be a 109 but yeah you know then there might have been a little controversy if they made it a 108 they didn't and takai keeps his title great fight yep yep in the main event no yah in way does what in way Inoue vs Doheny does broke down J toini over the course of the first six rounds and then in the seventh hits uh hits toini with a uh vicious body barrage dhini grabs his back not sure if he suffered a back injury or if it was just a culmination of the uh body shots but he needed help getting back to his uh locker room he had been 4-0 in Japan and doing really well there fighting out of Australia Irish guy but um in a way just continues to dominate and establish himself as uh you know one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world how'd you like the performance yeah I'm here to defend in a way not that he needs defending some people are down saying he didn't look spectacular look he is pound-for-pound him and Crawford are still the two top guys in usk uh I put I put bivo up in that Stratosphere that rare thin air I put tank Davis up up there um I I mean but in way and and Crawford for me are one and two either way so they're going to get more you don't think you don't think you don't think usyk gets up there in that like onec because he's got two divisions he's so good at heavyweight well actually yeah I came out when after he with that incredible fight and he unified all the titles against Fury I came out and I made usuzuk number one and and Crawford agreed agre Crawford agreed Crawford even said it himself on his own that that he'd make him n so I had him number one but I'm just saying yeah in way I got and Crawford are are right up there I guess the way I should have said it uh for number you know fighting to see who's right behind usk and to me the three of them are so close I agree I think if usk was more of having a spoke English more fluently and had a bigger personality like like a fury type personality he would be arguably the no one would dispute him being in that like top three you know for number one with with Crawford and inway he's so good I mean the way he moves has a heavyweight especially against those bigger guys he's so freaking good Olympic champion he's got everything and the way he W and he always wins he always finds a way to win yeah I was going to say like you would say he doesn't even know how to lose he never loses at anything oh he won the co Meow in the Olympics too um and he unified all the Cruiserweight titles too so never has problems outside of the Ring just a gentleman never disrespects anyone there's I can't think of a single negative thing to say about the guy he's funny representing a country that's at War um yep no he listen in a way they're all they're all great I just I just get upset when they take shots Crawford and inway Crawford his last fight what did he do he looked human he he he moved up another weight class and won 150 PB 54lb title against the guy who had 300 amateur fights was undefeated as a pro there's no credit for the opponent it's just negative for Crawford cuz he didn't knock him out in the first three rounds it's crazy they knock him that the opponent was only 10 and0 look the opponent was a good solid fighter with 300 amateur fights Crawford did what he had to do to not get Kellis to not be Reckless to move up respect the guy's strength respect the guys size win the fight uh win it clearly you know competitive fight but win it clearly and they're going to knock him so they're going to some people are going to knock in away they're going to say you know uh he fought a 37 year old guy who was 26 and4 uh with 20 Knockouts so doany can punch and he's a southp and doany is is awkward he's he's hard guy to deal with he controls range he looks to keep you on outside looks to knock your head off when you come in with a straight left hand from the Southpaw position so early on in a way had to do what Crawford had to do he had to fight smart and careful he had to fight very deliberate very on point where he couldn't make mistakes so he did he was he was a he was cautiously aggressive very cautiously very slow very patient taking the first round was like a nothing round taking his time and then he was stepping it up after that a little bit started stepping it up gradually uh but there had to be caution there had to be respect for the other guy fighting the way he was fighting and otherwise you know in a way wouldn't be 28 and0 with 25 Knockouts the Undisputed super Banton way champ 122 lbs if if he didn't know when you know kind of like that song with Kenny es if if you didn't know when to hold them and when to fold them you know and when to walk away yeah you have to know that in anything in life uh so in a way did it the right way his way A lot of people oh now he's human oh you know there's uh Superman there's a Kryptonite for Superman well I I haven't seen I haven't seen it yet was there some flaws in in a way did he get hit more than we're used to seeing him get hit yeah he got hit some straight left hands from the Southpaw again very awkward staying on the outside you know not taking chances for the most part to Henny fighting a smart fight fighting the right fight trying to stretch the fight trying to stretch the fight and get rounds where he can survive and then have a chance to land something uh stretch the fight out by staying outside giving ground uh you know and forcing in way to take the chances and then looking looking to nail them with something big uh that that's not the easiest style to deal with uh in a way had to deal with it the way he did he was gradually looking to break them down starting to close the gaps more um again yeah he showed some defensive flaws where he stood straight up on the outside got hit by the Southpaw uh in a couple spots do heini did a good job blocking punches kept his hands up well inway keeps his hands up well too uh and does a lot of that but in the end inway was getting to where he needed to get to he was closing the gaps doing it intelligently doing it yes cautiously uh but doing it the way he had to do it he started closing the gaps he started getting to him daney had a good third round in a way was looked good in the second round but then in a way after the third round again started applying pressure uh doing it behind the jab uh doing it without trying to make mistakes and going to the body uh at the end of the sixth round by the sixth round it looked like it was a matter of time for me it looked like inway had his number he was closing the Gap now putting a pressure on with the 37y old deeni who was dangerous early on and starting to showing you what was about to come that he was going to break him down he was going to wind up stopping him and U and Doin I give him all the credit he came prepared to fight the right fight uh to give himself a chance and by the end of the sixth round it looked like something was starting to be wrong with Doheny I don't know if he got hurt at the end of the sixth or the beginning of the seventh but he caught him a good body shuno did uh by the end of the sixth round and again the writing was on a wall for me what in a way was about to do and then the seventh round he just picked up where he left off he saw the road map he he you know uh that that he laid out in the six so he went out there in the seventh just continued what he was doing closing the Gap behind the jab uh going to the body and he caught him early on with a left hook looked like it might have been around the hip of Doan and you know that was all she wrote the Henny looked like he got a I don't know if he got a HP pointer or if it was the back that went out on him looked like it must have been the back cuz on a hit pointer I think he would have recovered in time but he needed help getting back to the locker room yeah so and it's saying it's a possible lower back injury I don't know if it was come from a punch or if he uh you know pulled something in his back as a result of all the body shots either way uh it was going to be one way it is going to be you know in a way uh so I I I am not buying you know we sell we buy uh if somebody says uh if we had that segment you know buying or selling that they have on some of the sports shows on ESPN Ken if you ask me are you buying that in a way you know gets knocked down a couple pegs of this fight no I'm not buying no I'm not no I'm not buying I agree so at the end of the day uh in a way gets not only stays undefeated and stays at his lofty place in the sport but he's a step closer to the fight that I think everyone wants now within a way involved and that's a fight with the other Champion the bandwe champion from Japan uh who who is uh who I think everyone is looking to see in a way in there with um nakaki I want to make sure I'm I'm getting his name right he's 28 and0 junto nakatani WBC champion Ben junto nakatani now I guess Aon wants to try to get to where they can make that a super fight over there um or over here I would assume it would be over there but they're heading towards that they're heading towards that fight and um that would be a you know that would be quite a fight I tell you why because that's his style Nagatani has a he's tall he's long he can punch and he's disciplined with his identity he knows his identity he knows how to fight tall he doesn't give in he doesn't give in he keeps his range he makes you fight his fight he makes you come into Dangerous Waters go through a dangerous neighborhood and he looks to mug and he looks to mug you when you know looks to mug you when you do that so him being tall long nakatani controlling the outside looking to catch the great Ina who's going to press the fight obviously to catch him coming in with Upper Cuts and you know counter shots that would be an intriguing yeah for me that's a fight that's off the radar we're all talking about we'd like to see you know we're going to see better be if obviously in bivo we can't wait to see that that's going to be great that we'd like to see Canelo and Benitas doesn't look like we're going to see that we'd like to see you know uh I'd like to see tank Davis um with with uh with uh what's the the The Undefeated kid from neck um uh Shakur Shakur Stevens yeah I'd love to see that I mean there's fights we would love to see but off the radar because we don't know as much about it it's over in Japan where it's more known but i' love to see well when they're fighting on a Tuesday morning at 400 a.m. it doesn't exactly appeal to an American audience that's a good point but i' love to see that fight with inway and nakatani I think we're going to wind up seeing it but I think that in a way is same I son told me this that in a way is saying that before you're going to see that he wants to see nakatani who obviously hasn't fought the level of guys that inway has yet but he would like to see nakatani fight his brother inay's brother who is takuma yeah who is also a world champion um at the same division bantamweight 118 they both of nakatani and inay's brother have titles there WBA for inway WBC for nakatani yeah exactly so he'd like to see him fight him uh and and he's in position where he probably could make the demands uh for that to be sure you know to that to be one of the demands but uh I also want to give a I just want to give credit where credit is due and we talk about and I try to give credit to all the people that deserve it and the top trainers out there there are a few there's not a million of them to be honest but there's a few but uh the Father the father of in way he deserves credit as a top trainer he really does he he not only trains in way uh but he also trains his brother who we just talked about who's also as we said a world champion his father reminds me lomachenko's father I was going to say lenko they even the fighters they have similar disposition demeanor attitude you know they don't say a lot they just handle business they're tough they they remind me of spitting image of each other in terms of like what they represent yeah I agree I mean what you just described I couldn't agree more I mean what you really described was they're not only bringing them up as you know Champion quality Fighters but quality people too um they're doing a good job you know which other fathers out there there's plenty that have done good jobs too but we're talking right now about these and they've done a good job and there's plenty who have not done a good job course they are but these two have done a heck of a job raising their kids as both people and as Champions uh that I think any from what we know I think any father would be proud of them uh to be their sons definitely but anyway that that's what happened in that fight uh and and I I really again that's when when you mention fights that you want to see I think the fans should be mentioning again they're not as familiar with those names or they're they're familiar with anyway but not nak katani and and how intriguing a fight that truly would be truly would be yeah um yeah junto nakatani I finally F found my note uh heading to a 280 21 knouts uh he's only 26 years old uh nakatani so again I think we might be heading towards The Showdown we'll see yep well let's jump Brown vs Bauza over to the Zone um on Friday night um Junior welterweight Kevin Brown who's being FASTT tracked 30 years old moves to 6-0 gets his most significant test to date against John Bowser who comes in at 18-1 and gets uh loses a unanimous decision Bowser drops to 18 and two uh like I said they're fast tracking Kevin Brown from um Cuba he's 30 years old extensive uh amateur career though and they are moving him quickly here like I said first big test for him he dropped Bowa in the first round with a great right hand to the body Bower got up and fight tough fought tough though and they went 10 Rounds 98 91 97 992 96 993 convincing win for um Kevin Brown how'd you like it what do you think all the is he is he up to the hype or is it uh lot of hot air no no he he could fight I like him he's a sharp looking Prospect he's 6 and0 three Knockouts like you said and you know four Knockouts they didn't give anybody easy after only six fights you know they they they exactly after five fights this was their six fight that's true they gave they gave him Bower whose only losss up to that point had been with the undefeated Hitchens who's now rated I think actually in the world so uh they you know they didn't baby him that way and not only with a guy that's been in there with good fighters in Bowser and you know has uh has so many more fights than him as as we just said uh is 18- two now but he a difficult style Bowser I mean Bowser is a he's a southpaw he's got an awkward style uh he's he he's not the easiest guy to navigate against uh and to figure out there uh and and and brown figured it out he figured you know pretty early he went to the body uh beautiful as you said he scored a knockdown the first round beautiful picture I mean like a laser like a laser aimed punch to the solar plex I I was shocked that brown got up because a lot of those guys I mean Bowser because a lot of those guys I was too they get hit those shots to the solar plex or the liver but this one was to the solar plexes a lot of guys don't get up and um nope he got right up he got up he he not only finished the round he he went 10 Rounds yeah he deserves a lot of credit cuz he like you said that shot to the solar plexus make you feel like you're having a heart attack no he I tell you it takes everything out of you he yeah Brown Bowser Bowser impressed me before we get back to Brown Bowser impressed me just what we're talking about getting up and then fighting 10 Rounds after that uh and I agree and being in that fight uh I look Brown is a guy who looks he looks the part of a prospect he looks really sharp everything he does is quick sharp you know he's uh he's flashy good hand speed uh good defensively like I just said places shots nicely play that beautiful body shot uh continue to look to go to the body throughout the night but he's he's missing real power uh that doesn't mean he can't be a champion but the funny thing about is his punches look more than they are you know they're more sharp than they are powerful uh where yeah if that makes sense to anybody out there but but he you know real sh you know like really but um you know raises shop but not with the real significant you know power behind them uh like you would say B punches a born and he just doesn't have that uh sting on the end of them but like you said he's sharp and uh he also has the maturity of a 30-year-old man that's a big that's a significant factor I think having been around just you know that much longer than a typical Prospect in his early 20s at 6 and0 yeah and that's one of the reasons why at only 6 and0 you put him 10 Rounds because of that maturity that age the amateur background all of that um contributes to why you could move a guy faster which you can with guys that have big amateur experience you can and that are mature from that amateur experience you can and often do uh move them faster because of that so anyway at the end of the day yeah he's a prospect Kevin Brown I just want to report that to the fans because I could have easily skipped that one but um it was a Friday night it would have been kind of easy to skip over it but we try not to skip over even though we're going to get to the mailbag one of these days um I don't really look at the too often like I told you um the fans know that I don't look at the comments too often unless somebody shows them to me but I had prepared for the mailbag uh the mail room where we're going to put a new part in there a new segment in the show a couple weeks ago and I tell you I scratched my head you know why Ken and I don't have them specifically in front of me I really don't everyone deserves their opinion I don't care fine but some of these comments are the people just either they have a very heavy residue of wax buil up in their ears or they they need cataract surgery because can I just tell you something think about the caliber of person that's an a regular YouTube commenter that takes the time to talk crap on the YouTube comments could you imagine wasting any of your time being negative to people in YouTube comments yes you have something nice to say cool but saying mean mean spirited [ __ ] it doesn't make any sense to me they don't bother me I guess I'll help you feel better yeah agreed they don't bother me and I don't see them too often but this is what bothers me a little bit where I say scratch my head a little bit Ken they these remarks they're complaining about I'm reading them I had to read them three times they said wait a minute wait a minute hold on a minute let me read it again make sure I'm getting this right they their comments and and they're being upset was about things that were never said no seriously but you also notice that the name of the commentator is like Rumple stillin 678 it's not the guy never puts his name in his picture it YouTube comments are like the an lowest common denominator they're Anonymous fool foolish nonsense but even if you want to say something whatever and I agree with you but if you want to say something that's not the nice whatever you shouldn't really do it if you have constructive criticism unload but being mean spirit and nasty is stupid but no matter what you're going to say be accurate oh my God K I'm reading this and he's saying oh Teddy you didn't say this and and I'm looking I'm saying actually I did say that actually oh my God I said I actually did usually it's project oh by the way Teddy it was a it wasn't a knockout and then I'm looking at it I said I didn't say it was a knockout I didn't say the fight ended in a knock I might have said that he was trying to get the knockout do do they hear that those are the kind of guys that will point out punctuation mistakes or spelling errors in a in a you know in an email or a tweet like oh you sp build your instead of uh you are so all I'm saying is go ahead go ahead God bless you come keep watching Please Subscribe please keep building us up please if you but at least if you're going to make a comment good or bad be accurate listen just listen open your ears and make sure you're hearing it and you're hearing the whole sentence don't just flip out after five of my words in a 10-word sentence and and comment on that where you didn't hear the rest of the sentence because that's what some of these comments almost look like anyway I I digress one quick thing I would say for all the negative comments thank you to all the people who sent me nice messages uh fans of the show that sent supportive messages and tweets from um regarding the race I saw all the comments and the DMS that people sent we have incredible fans Teddy and 99% of the people that watch and support the show are lovely I I sincerely appreciate everything I see I don't want to make take too much time to comment on the idiots that are just spewing nastiness but thank you to everyone that left the nice comments I appreciate you um all right let's get into uh last fight from UFC Brady vs Burns the weekend before we get into the previews our friend sea Brady from Philadelphia puts it on Gilbert Burns one-sided uh beat down almost un a unanimous decision but I think let me just look at the scorecards quickly I think he basically won every single round or close to yeah he was 5045 on two scorecards 49 46 I mean to dominate Gilbert Burns is a uh huge statement for Shawn Brady he's just got the one loss against balah muhamad who's the current champion who looks to be a world beater but I Love Shawn Brady's tough as Nails wrestler uh from Philly Blue Collar guy can't say enough good things about Shawn Brady congratulations on the win how'd you like it listen good hard forward contestant really hard gritty hardfought fight and one thing you missed or one thing you left out yes he you know he beat a a incredible Burns has had an incredible career but he beat a 38 year old version of burns you gotta put that in there Burns I I'm not taking nothing away from Brady great job but Burns at 38 now I think that part of this was possibly youth being served I agree I would agree with that yeah I I think that was part of it I think Gilbert's best days are behind him Burns still dangerous still going to beat a lot of guys yep but at the top top level he's just not able and and the and the great DC and the commentators who are all great Paul Feld all of them they're great John uh no it wasn't John Adon it was the guy who we Phils in Brandon Fitzgerald yeah they they all well on it but I would say that at this point Burns is not able to be consistent round full rounds for five rounds offensively he's not able cons to keep that offensive consistency and there was probably spots where to my point that youth was served there were probably spots where if I was commentating I might have just added one thing that maybe Burns at this point in his life couldn't pull the trigger just couldn't quite pull the trigger on things that he wanted to do that he could have done maybe two years ago three years ago but still I agree completely a tough fight he hung five rounds with Brady is is impressive enough at that age and stage of his career uh Brady give both Fighters both Fighters are well-rounded spectacularly well-rounded um tremendous uh tremendous on the mat with it was a battle of striking and wrestling that's what it was it was striking and wrestling mixed in and Brady did a great job striking not a huge puncher but put punches together you know what I liked about him that was unique he he is so smooth and graceful at sliding in with his punches he just slides in like he on ice skates he just he slides in smoothly on a canvas while throwing his punches with a nice Rhythm a nice flow really smooth and I was really impressed with his footwork the way he just could could again slide in skate in skate out um he did a great job of that uh best way I could describe it was that uh puts his punches together really well uses the jab well uh Burns was looking to land more powerful shots uh bigger shots using his jab too but again the offensive consistency wasn't quite there for burns but he still made it so interesting he landed some big shots on Brady and Brady's only laws you alluded to was to the great balal Muhammad he got tko'ed in that fight so questions about Brady at this next level he answered the questions he answered and he answered the question about his chin he took some big shots from Burns big shot he got he got he got affected with them he got he you know he he definitely got hurt a little but he handled them handled the big shots uh did what he had to do he was magnificent on the on the mat as as Burns was too the two of them jousting you know scrambling for position it was it was really it was it was it was great to watch that kind of grappling at that level it it really was the maneuvering everything else back and forth uh really really an interesting good fight uh even though Brady won every round or four of the rounds whatever uh they was still they were still tight enough they were still rounds that something could turn uh like I said Burns did test him uh Brady passed the test he graduated I think he's ready you know for top guys now there I think he showed that uh his his cardio is terrific um you know they they were it was a nice real professional solid fight yep excellent uh Teddy one of the things that uh people were asking me is what did I carry with me for uh five days 20 lbs on your napsack of AG 20 PBS that's that's right athletic greens every single day I'm not kidding I took this every day if nothing else to make sure while I was eating those freeze-dried camper Foods I was making sure I was getting all my vitamins minerals nutrients probiotics and prebiotics because athletic greens is made with 75 Whole Food sauce ingredients mixed into a green powder you mix it up with some water couldn't be more convenient I've been taking it for years I never miss a day without athletic greens I I genuinely use this every single day go to athletic greens.com Atlas and they'll send you 10 of these free travel packs with your first purchase the travel packs go everywhere with me I think you guys will love them give it a shot if there's one supplement I never skip it's the athletic greens athletic greens.com Atlas to take advantage of the special offer 10 free travel packs with your first purchase let's get into some previews I want to do one thing before that I always talk about I try to you know I try to give people their dues and of course if I think they need to be uh swatted a little bit I SWAT them um I I don't but I'm but I'm I'm Fair on both sides I think um whoever it is but I wanted to give a little it just hit me it hit me during the inway fight uh when the announcer we talk about Ring announcers there's so many of them popping up all over with their new try one guy trying to outo the other guy with hyperball and with this with that um you know I don't know if they're taking the athletic greens but they're full of energy they're full of energy and and they're they're trying to reinvent the wheel every time you know every time they're on there was one guy it just reminded me and I had to give him a shout out John lennin John lennin Jr his father was a iconic guy but when he does his stick or if you want to call it that a delivery while announcing it just doesn't sound like stick and it doesn't come across as over the top um you know a as and and or or fabricated if you will as many of of the others do sometimes quite frankly it's just done with more class than than hype uh at least to me I I just it you know I've heard him a million times we've all heard him a million times but I was listening to it and it was in Japan Japan is a more of a quiet atmosphere over there everyone's so polite and it's quiet and maybe that's why I was able to kind of hold in on a ring announcer caught my attention and I said wow wow what a breath of fresh air uh a guy that you know doesn't again doesn't try to blow the roof off the freaking stadium with his call and just does what is is appropriate oh the actual ring announcer in the ring Jimmy Lennon Jr yeah I think you might have said Johnny but Jimmy I think it's Jimmy Len no no it is Jimmy no no problem John is John is dead yeah John is dead I think it's spelled different JY no it's Jimmy you're right John John is dead I know that he I'm sorry he is he got killed I think John lennin spelled his last name a little different than Jimmy Lenin Jr yeah I figured that's what you meant but I I think the last name sounds the same but I got the wrong first name but um yeah unfortunately John John was a better singer uh and and composer than Jimmy but not a better classy but not a better ring Jimmy Lenin Jr yeah classy Jimmy lenon perfect description of him yeah really and um yeah I mean you know poor I would say he's the like polar opposite of uh Bruce Buffer for instance who's like doing cartwheels in there before he does the announcement but enjo to totally different totally works for that sport for that sport yes 100% but again no Jimmy is not one of the missing Beatles no no no no he is not um from from that album where there's one missing he is not but anyway I thank R again for the second time today all right you want to Let's uh let's O'Malley vs Dvalishvili Predictions let's preview the upcoming UFC show from the sphere and then we'll end with um Canelo and banga but we've got om Ali and morab de dili uh headlining at the sphere huge show Mexican Independence Day can't wait for this one these two guys have been uh chirping each other for a long time but I like the way that they are going at each other there's a level of humor to it obviously they want to kill each other but I like the way that they are promoting this fight I like both of the guys incredibly entertaining uh morab is a strong island guy training out Ray Longo and Matt Sarah Ali U out in Arizona I think he trains in Arizona I know he lives there but anyway can't wait for this one what are you looking for out of both guys do we have a my bookie uh y element I'm gonna get you the lines all right so y I think I was surprised to be told if it's accurate that Mor Rob is a favorite small favorite but I was a little surprised that the champion wasn't a favorite it's a it's a good tough that would surprise me too I don't know maybe I'm not accurate you're going to let me know but in the meantime om Ali Ali is really a tremendous Striker I mean he's learned how to defend the take Downs very well like all primary guys that are primarily Strikers they have to learn at least to defend and take down like like alisandra did um you know they they have to learn how to handle themselves on the mat and om Ali can do that but obviously his Forte his strength is striking he is I I mean I think him Max Holloway and tooa are the best strikers out there and om Ali's the best uh he's good enough to almost be a boxer yeah I agree and he's always angling to get a fight and he's incredibly entertaining Ali is a small favorite at minus 140 uh dalala shili morab is plus 110 minus 140 om Ali plus 110 maybe morab was a favorite at one point but that's still for a for a fight line that's as close to even as you can get listen this one for me breaks down the way should break down to the both fighter strengths uh Mor robas and Adam on the mat he's got a great engine nonstop motor uh you know he's physically strong tough I mean really tough I mean how about that fight where he went for the takedown and he almost got CH choked out and he survived that I forget who that was with that was incredible um really incredible kind of like Vulcan nowski was incredible against Orga that time when it looked like Orga had in that triangle but Ali believe it or not he he reminds me don't go nuts out there I'm not saying he's him but he reminds me of some of the things that one of the greatest fighters of all time one of my favorite Fighters greatest lightweight of all time one of the greatest lightweights I thought of all time could fit into any error I just loved him I'm I'm sorry he's not with us anymore but sweet P Whitaker panel Whitaker I mean sweet PE was really special and and again I know om Mii hasn't cleaned out his class yet his division yet I get it I get that all Teddy you're getting ahead of yourself blah blah blah blah blah blah I'm just saying there's similarities yeah that the way that defensively the way he controls the ring the way he uses his legs the way he sets up counters he sets up traps the way he he does counter when he makes you miss he he defensive he can make you miss by moving his head or by using his legs controlling range like I said earlier uh Ali is a tremendous boxer I'm not even going to call him Striker he is just a pure boxer he's got hand speed he puts punches together well he uses jab the way a jab should be used he gets angles he does it all from from the point of view of what you want to see in the sweet science he's he's that good and I just can't see morab staying up with him in the Striking if it stays striking I mean morab strikes but it's more conventional it's you know it's more standard uh jab straight right hand you know uh he's got a nice straight strong jab but I cannot see if this stays in a striking way the way obviously Ali wants to keep it if he could control the gomet tree of that ring where he doesn't allow morab to shoot in and get his legs if he can avoid that for the duration of the night the duration of the fight I can't see Ali not keeping his title and if yep morab gets Reckless like Sterling did and reaches in for one of those shoots he could get caught a counter you know uh a a counter rightand a counter left took counter upper card and Ali if everything I described wasn't impressive enough he switches from Lefty to righty to make it even more difficult to figure him out and he doesn't miss A Beat from from the South Pole of the Orthodox stance um I like morab tough guy it's going to be an interesting fight he had the cut a few weeks ago I don't know if that's going to play into it uh you know if it's healed up 100% or it's going to open up to fight or above his eye but at the end of the day I'm going with Ali uh I'm going to go with Ali again if if morab reaches in Ali's wiry he can punch he gets good leverage on his punches even though he don't look like a punch he's a skinny kid but those skinny kids they get they do get the leverage in their punches I've chronicled that many times about the history of boxes whether it was caros Zarate where whether it was Alexis oruo Bob forer you know Tommy Hearns whoever those skinny guys could punch um if morab reaches in it could be a problem if morab does figure out a way to stabilize Ali on the outside uh where he can close the gap without leaving himself vulnerable and he can get to the legs of om Ali then om Al's going to have a problem or possibly have a problem I I'm taking Ali by by decision yeah I like it when you were thinking about region I was just thinking about what Ali did to uh Mor Rob's uh stablemate in Alaine Sterling at that fight in Boston that we were both at when he uh clipped Alo put him right away so looking to get I'm sure morab will be looking to get revenge for the uh for the whole camp but um super excited for that one if you're going to wager on the BET please consider to go to my bookie at go to mybookie.ag and use the promo code Atlas for a 50% credit on your first deposit up to $11,000 you deposit 2,000 they'll give you another th000 to play with my bookie.ag promo code Atlas now let's get to a uh almost prohibitive favorite Canelo Alvarez and Edgar Canelo vs Berlanga Predictions banga um you know before this fight was made I'd say a fight uh no one was looking for but nevertheless it's being made um Alvarez is a minus $2,300 favorite plus $ 800 on banga uh over under 8 and2 rounds even money uh over8 and a half under eight and a half both minus 120 um what are you looking for in this one and does banga have a chance look balanga is Young he's undefeated hasn't learned how to lose yet and he's got talent I just don't know if he's ready I'm going to say he's not yet ready the thing that makes me nervous about his mental game and the fact that he's like he bid an opponent and I'm not trying to pick on the kid but let's just talk about the facts of the facts like this the state of mental state you have to be in to bite someone and St to that level of frustration is um you know I just question how in control of his emotions he is yeah like I was starting to say mentally I I don't know if he's ready not just physically technically I think you know he he's got talent but I don't know if he's mle and I'm going to say he's not but for the sake of handicapping uh I have to make a choice one way or the other I I don't know that he's ready uh I didn't think MCA was ready even though he had more fights I didn't think MCA had enough fights at that level on that stage to be ready even though he had a huge amount of fights um twice as many as belaga but I also thought that Canelo picks these guys for reason where he sees something either they're not ready in certain ways in that way or their style he thought Mia which he's right was vulnerable defensively which he is he's getting better but he is he he's he's vulnerable defensively Mia and he thought with the heart of the Mexican that he is he thought he would engage him he was right he did engage him and Canelo is a good counter puncher good power and if you engage him he's going to counter you he's going to have a chance to hurt you and that's exactly what he did with Mia early on with the with the uppercut when Mia engaged him and that set the tone for the fight where basically he was able to have his kind of fight Canelo where he could control it with a hard jab counter punches you know fighted his Pace um he is getting older of Canelo but you know he's AJ Ed he's he's adjusted to where even as he's getting older and he's slowed down where he don't throw as many but he he he's better in certain areas where he's not as busy you know uh he shows your spots where maybe he could be outworked but he still controls range where he makes you fight his fight for the most part he tries to he couldn't do that with Beil of course but other than that he's been able to do that uh again get a chance to counterpunch get a chance to go to the body get a chance to control you with his jab he's got a good strong accurate jab unless I think Bang's Best Shot is not to engage Canelo I don't know if he can win that way but he could survive that way that's not what we want I get it people but if he could mix it up we're picking spots to engage and picking spots to do smart and not engage where he gives up too much and he stays in front of Canelo too long where he can use his young legs box on the outside use his jab you know pick spots if you can do that and maintain that mentally emotionally in a consistent manner yeah you could take the plus $800 if you want for $100 if you can afford to lose a 100 take it for 100 bucks if you want to do that at the end of the day I don't know that he's going to be be able to do that to the point where he can actually win the fight that way uh again I I think Canelo picked him for a reason thinking he's not ready thinking that uh he will be able to engage belonga at some point uh or Force his way to balanga at some point to to fight the kind of fight that favors Canelo with his power with his accuracy his well-placed punches I'm taking Cano I'm taking Canelo you can take you can take you can take Canelo by knockout for minus 340 I as opposed to taking him to win for minus 2300 I think if if it goes the way you'd like uh by no I I would never lay I would never lay that kind of wood never uh but I would take Canelo by knockout I would take a a bet on that I would also take Canelo I would take a shot on the over because I think the younger banga has enough ability as I described to survive or potentially survive into the eighth into the later rounds uh yeah would I be shocked if Canelo got him out of there in four five or six no but if I have to make a bet or I want to make a bet uh and I gotta go within the confines of what is laid out there by obviously the bookmakers I would take a shot at going over eight and a half rounds and also put a little bet on The Knockout because this way I protect myself a little bit if he knocks him out earlier if Canelo gets to him earlier I got the win there uh if he winds up getting to him after 8 and a half I win on both ends which which would be a nice bonus yeah well that's all I got for you teddy we we covered all the fights coming up we covered everything that's happened for the last week and a half you got anything else before we uh wrap things up no just that like I said before I know the fans are we can't do every fight guys um I know it's a nice undercard I know it's a curious undercard or an interesting undercard with Lara and Danny Garcia plant and Trevor Mumbo who's undefeated um you know uh you got you got uh Fon and H Castro you got Rolando Romero and Manuel James those that's a good undercard we don't have time right now we we don't have time now for me to handicap every one of those fights but enjoy them uh enjoy of course the UFC whatever is your choice uh of of combat enjoy it and uh we'll be back next week to talk about it I'll be out in Vegas with my son uh we'll be at the spear we we'll be on next week as I said my son will join us and give you his perspective of you know what the spear was all about what that card looked like and uh and everything that hopefully you want to hear and there you have it guys if you're watching on YouTube please like And subscribe to
