buddy Brandon uh I've heard from Brandon Smith's uh friends and family he Tans two to three times a week really yeah that's you know that that uh golden color is not natural on him it's from the booth they told me that so this is Hollister Challenge Series well this is what he does on the side he actually does work for Hollister as his main job looks like he went to the GQ photo shoot open the wrong door well yeah actually when he showed up today he didn't know what this was we just said we needed someone pretty photo shoot brother we had too much ugly going on we just needed someone pretty we we brought Brandon out for that he's like I'm here for the American eagle photo shoot the Nautica is very intimidating I was told about him as well he likes steak Brandon Smith out of Dante Rivera and the only other thing I got to learn about him CU he wouldn't give me any fun facts his friends were giving him his friends seem a little bit annoying his friends are annoying they what he likes to eat they kept trying to rag on the guy it's just it's probably because he's pretty yeah probably cuz he's pretty he likes Chipotle you think those blonde highlights are natural or artificial Billy and liero in the corner and it sounds like teammate Matt in the booth so we may have some bias here but his hero is Dom I'm going to so is here is Dominick Cruz it all makes sense the bias is going to same weightlifting gym as me and he p is connected to Top Shelf y the kid's at the kid at lifting weights from 4: to 6 and he trains Jiu-Jitsu from 6 to maybe 9 at night he's a workload he's working out he it looks like he has his whole his whole he lives in his car Billy out of pure MMA Brandon Smith out of Dante Rivera BJ J I'll tell you one thing he's not going to be outworked he's not going to be outworked now Brandon Smith to is credit that Dante Rivera team always comes and brings the ener our amateur Team Champions there Dante Rivera they he was on that team they brought it that day so I'm excited to see this one he's a brand new purple belt right yeah Billy recently got his purple belt believe they're both newer purple belts cuz uh Brandon was on the amateur team yeah and they're both MMA fighters as well oh around the neck Brandon's around the neck no no he's got a he's got to push on the hips he's got B he's doing a good job fighting but that is pretty deep see if he can pry himself out and back to the he Brandon's able to keep the grip which was interesting there he couldn't hip into it if he hipped into it he would have had it he's going for it yeah I was going to say he was able to keep the grip but he lost position look him him to get back to it now yeah he had that Gable grip so that was some good reaction time there from Brandon both these guys are such animals man he's very heavy on the on the top of the the top of priority should be breaking that great first and foremost and you have to suspect after that he's going to drop right into Mount brand he's doing a great job of figure four in his arms there and defending the 2 minutes in four minutes remain this definitely dangerous though there's a lot we got three minutes 50 seconds here he long not get spread out too much and listen guys three minutes left in the period who knows stamina wise who's going to hold up and aond choke there's been a lot of good action and Brandon's been squeezing well the AR you have to see how the arms going to hold up there Brandon's got an andaconda choke type grip last I saw from the other angle so he he might even try to roll here if he can get tight enough and he lost it there's the MMA skills right there standing up as we are at about halfway here 3 minutes in three minutes remain lost SK and Jiu-Jitsu the stand up man yep that's what I teach a lot of my students is just if you're in like a KN Shield or a lot of these positions you get to stand don't be afraid to get there's what you see a lot in jiujitsu is people just don't think even to just stand when a lot of times it gets you out of a lot of funky positions if you can just get up especially in a situation like this you're you're pay-per-view you're freaking have people watching it's it's easy to get stuck in positions and you got to remember an MMA an escape is getting back to your feet and jiujitsu and Escape could just be getting back to guard or getting back to half Guard full guard back on that neck deep guill jump off the wall pretty deep I think that he's got to hip into it really needs to try to pry the hands as much as possible he's got two hands on one though I think he could survive this yeah if you could just open up a little bit of space here he got got to get a little bit he's not hipping into it at all oh that a little de there it out the wall does help him there great work from Billy there to get out but Brandon's clearly Got A Something's H he really needs he really needs a rib that guo if he wants to finish he's kind of stretched him out a little too much this under over drill right here it's like that Pummel drill you learn in a wrestling room this this is about as textbook as it gets between these two because even though Brandon's been jumping The Guillotines like Billy's keeping Good's got a good overhook there and and a and a crossface look for a slide by here right from Brandon to the back oh wow he got into the back we can we get a throw oh leg he's got to pinch his knees together he's got left leg knee wow inside heel hook see if we can get to it and Brandon doing a good job fighting off the hands yep I'm definitely expecting overtime here we got one minute both guys are in not too great a position we get the re trying to work I think they've both demonstrated at this point though that at any Split Second they can apply something yeah for sure well we've seen some we've seen some pretty deep submission TS from both at this point just the explosion man these guys I mean it's not hard to tell by looking at
