GUILD WAR DEFENSES YOU SHOULD RUN (AUGUST 2024)

Intro what is up YouTube long time no see and um there's a good reason for that because we've been grinding RTA and I'm really sorry that I kind of abandoned the YouTube for a little bit um went on two different vacations freaking in the middle of getting a mortgage um just like RT Legend grind like there's just been so much that's been happening in my life I just haven't had the time to actually sit down record edit videos and post them for you guys so I apologize all right my bad um but in this video we as you can see in the title this is going to be a guild war defense meta video since a new guild war season has just started I know a lot of you guys are probably thinking of defenses that you kind of want to try and run and see you know what is going to really Farm you guys some Shields um obviously have already retired but um I'd like to think that my nine seasons of being in like high-end guild war are still going to carry over so whether you actually get shields or not results May Vary Des viewer discretion has been advised um without further Ado we're going to just like comment subscribe for the video for the algorithm and we're going to just just jump straight into the coms in terms of what you can run on defense to try to get some Shields let's go all righty so SeaPP/Aty/BBK for the first two defenses here um you can already kind of see the the speeds that I have but um first team is going to be SE Phantom polius and she's is going to be uh at your top speed gear on spatial temporal fan obviously results are going to vary depending on if you have a plus 30 artifact or not um because if you're not plus 30 then you're not going to have a 100% chance on actually hiding your DPS um this comp is quite similar to like the januma comp um in the beginning of last season but um the the main difference is that BBK got buffed right so um the second unit we're going to be running is ambitious Tywin here who's going to be on Bastion and prua um who's basically just going to be on like a bit of a faster build at 231 speed 81 Effectiveness now do you need the effectiveness no cuz you have rage right so technically it's not um if you really wanted to optimize this you can throw a crit damage build on your a taian at a higher speed around like 250 260 um but obviously I'm playing a bunch of RTA so I'm not doing that but that will definitely yield you the best results without question and then the most important character here is going to be BBK so obviously BBK recently got reworked and she gets basically two immortality procs right when she receives lethal damage so she starts off with immortality you proc her to zero HP she gets another immortality now because there's a lot of layers of RNG here right first of all um the spatial temporal fan is going to hide the BBK number one Bastion and Pria is going to protect her from any sort of damage so not only is she getting uh stealth barrier and Immunity right she also is going to be paired on Shepherd of the hollow on this build so she also has evasion so and immortality right so she has four Buffs effectively in the opening turn and she is really hard to proc right so you you might miss you might miss on her when you're you're trying to land into her and then AI is always there as a threatening to threaten into you to basically debre and stun and then BB can just wipe you right um and the fact that ply is also hidden in this comp so that you're constantly dragging BBK to basically like hit them hit them hit them while they're potentially death broken right and um this comp I want to quickly show you guys like how many results it it it gave so um ignore these shields cuz I was playing RTA and I literally had myar my defense ungeared but if we just look back to some of my when I was running this comp like look at this one 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 um 9 10 11 like 12 right 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 like this def 21 22 20 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 like dude this defense is insane insane like if you want to run this defense in in your defense in whatever rank are you're in I promise you you will get shields this defense is giga broken um now are there counters to it obviously every every defense is going to have counters but um I promise you'll get Shield so run this first team for sure um the second team NMLuna/Shoux/Kayron um I'm actually uh running running a EML Luna here at 304 speed now again I know like you know you might not be able to hit 304 um you might not be able to hit this amount of HP while being at this speed I get that but you just basically want to have your Luna at at a high speed uh where she can kind of threaten the openers right that are not fast enough right or maybe they bring enemy U their own Luna right so um that's kind of what I'm looking to trap right so I'm bringing my own Luna to pressure the enemy draft to bring a cleanser and then I'm also bringing my KRON here who's going to be at 310 speed on secret art Storm sword and what is the reason why we are building KRON in this way because when you look at this defense right I'll show the shoe as well it's on sweet Miracle right 254 speed just basically putting him on a timer right so uh what is the whole premise of this defense right so Luna is obviously here to force him to bring a cleanser and or you force him to cleave right there's only two options when you're fighting Luna you either tank down and you cleanse and you fight the rest of the team which is why we bring shoe right shoe is there so that if they bring cleansers you put them on a timer you put them in on injury she gets speed buff um eacor is going to be too like uh with the Luna and you're going to be constantly cycling right that puts the pressure on the cleansers the emo the fire Kon at 310 on secr is for a very specific reason is because when enemies see ml Luna on defense they're they're thinking like like look look when you look at at this defense right uh where is it yeah you look at this defense on the bottom you're like oh I'll just Amo Luna plus imprint right I'll just bring my own emol Luna I'll bring like a gloomy range an extra book where I'll bring a like a Wanderer silk whatever the S3 boom secret art moves forward and then you just one shot a DPS right um that's a defense that I'm going to be trying U I don't know if it actually works but the the the whole notion of emo running EML Luna on defense right now is to do one of two things right either force them to bring cleansers and you try to address that or two you try to bring um cheese Heroes uh for example like thieves on secret art stormsword or Soul Weavers on Soul constellation or um warriors on spear purification right um these artifacts that allow you to push in front of any of the DPSS that the EM enemy emal Luna is running are actually very decent options at the moment to try to counter um people that are you know OB is going to run into your emuna defense right which is kind of what we've kind of developed here or designed here um yeah a lot of yapping for these two comps but yeah I just kind of want to put my thoughts out there um I'll give you another two examples in just a moment so let's go take a look at them right away SeaPP/Jenua/Senya all righty so for the next defense where I'm going to be showing uh the first round here is actually going to be trapping for EML Luna and obviously my P is at 310 speed you know you probably can you don't have to be at this speed obviously um but my speed's going to you could be at 300 299 it's still going to function basically the same so uh the warhorn here is serves a very specific purpose and I'll explain to you in just a moment why so um Sean Theus you just want to have her at top speed as much effective as possible nothing too special there uh we're going to be running green Sena all right green sea is going to be on holy sacrifice and we're going to be running on gab e now you might be wondering what this is for and again I'll explain in a second I'll be running genua as our third unit who's going to be at 261 speed on secret art Storm sword on speed and Tor so uh basically how this team works is when an enemy sees the senya and the genua and the ply um they're going to bring Luna lwig plus one right basically just Soul burn kill your whole team y y y the great thing about running genua at a higher speed here is because you're at 261 you're going to be getting a 24% push whereas the ELO lwig is usually around like 250 260 speed right they get a 20% push you're going to go in front of them and then you have a one and one out of three chance to basically just one shot the lwi right so you have a 33% 33% chance win con is pretty good already right let's say you don't outspeed him let's say you're running 270 speed lwig you know he's they they strip your poly they outspeed you whatever um that sucks right um these two die not a big deal because guess what seya is going to come in holy sacrifice you're going to S3 right the ER is really specific right the you have ER here because chances are the Luna is not really going to have that much Effectiveness maybe they'll have like maybe like 20 30 40 maybe um the higher you can get in ER maybe like 150 would be better so that you could resist the drre on the sea which is really realistically the lose con cuz if you get seal and you die you come back with holy sack um if you just rip an S3 um and then you just resist the death break and you just kill off the lwig and everything um by countering into them um that's like best case scenario right uh a way to even bulletproof this comp even more is is if you were to be on like a ball gear build on life steel senya with some good ER gear um it will work wonders right because even let's say they bypass your genua wicon and your ply outspeed wicon you still have the sea wicon and holy sack so that you can S3 and just kill them off with um life steal set right so it'll be really really powerful in that regard uh the round two here is shout DBSenya/Shoux/Belian out to Calvin uh this is a bit of an older defense but this is mainly to counter emuna defenses as well sorry Luna offenses so uh first unit we're going to be running is Bellion uh we're going to be at 3F and on speed and on HP uh I'm rocking 265 speed 28k HP 64 Effectiveness right uh the reason why we have it at this speed threshold is because when you look at this comp like what is what does it look like to you right it there's a shoe three HP scalers solid DDR so uh the reason why we're running belly on this speed is so that you can actually provoke the DDR from pressing S2 or even S3 for that matter if they don't have immunity and a lot of them really don't right A lot of people in gilo they're just say ah it should be okay howse be blah blah blah um and then they're just you know shocked right now could they be running Bastion for sure you know that is a possibility um but for the all the ddrs that don't have immunity or they don't bring um any form of Bastion guess what you're probably going to win that attack or that defense right uh shoes obviously here to put the game on a timer right we're running sweet Miracle shoes so that even if we get stunned by whatever debuff so we can just cleanse out and then just S3 and start putting our speed buff up and tuning and everything like that and then our s is be S is going to be on basion a puchia at 40K HP um pretty specific reason why you want to have it at this high of an HP because when you do get injured down on the senya when you do get that S3 off it's still going to do a pretty good chunk of damage right cuz they can't apply that much injury in the in the get-go but this will still do a really solid amount of damage um against the enemy team and honestly a lot of these defense like this defense in particular um especially with Freda coming out not really going to be too sure in terms of how well it's going to perform um because of the fact that it basically ignores Bellion and it generates Souls regardless right so we're not I'm not really sure how well it'll do I haven't seen a whole lot of Freda attacks yet um I'm going to be testing them tomorrow as well to see exactly how well it goes um but um historically uh these two defenses have performed quite well um so you can try running these in your own defense and see how it works and you know report back let me know if you guys get some Shields so uh we got two more examples and then we're going to kick it so let's go right ahead all right so for our Zio/B.Lidica/Shoux third and final two defenses or I guess our last five and six defenses um it's actually going to be Zeo bla Shu so um this zo actually needs to be on Bloody Rose that's kind of like the first thing that um I kind of thought about but you can go chatty uh you can go bloody Rose uh it really just depends on what you have available I think Bloody Rose is kind of bis here and you want to go self imprint so you have some Effectiveness and um but you can run it full damage time matter it really doesn't matter just make sure you're not on book if you ever have Z on defense otherwise you're Giga trolling um now one thing that I've noticed in the lower ranks is actually is that um people will run zahaw GP Strays into this comp right and one of the main problems with this attack is it works if the Bas is like 250 speed right which a lot of the people do run slow Bas um but this bica at 200 at 300 speed uh when when zo pushes back and activates blooming litica and she S2s even when GP gives the Haw and Strays to push it's still not enough because bling Lia just gets so much natural speed off her S2 um where she's still able to get that skill null off and if she gets that skill null off it's basically game over right if she can get a skill nullifier off it's GG so this is one huge wi con for Blooming litica is to make sure that you have her at a high enough speed to cut in front of zah Hawk and Strays uh after zo goes into the general perus and OSU is kind of standard um you can really run here on anything it really doesn't matter I I personally prefer the sweet Miracle uh you can go proof of Valor you can go ruy Jing bang you can go snow crystal you can go even like the Randall um it really is up to you at that point really doesn't matter it's really about the zo and bica being tied together um so definitely give that a try if you're in like the lower ranked guilds if you're like higher ranked probably don't run this cuz this defense is not super great but for as a noob stomper this was definitely very strong um the second Broman/Yufine/BBK team that I've uh run before as well is I run Broman here at 300 speed and aisal crown with 117 Effectiveness and I know this is kind of like you know whale territory um cuz obviously like not everybody can make a 300 Broman but even if you're like 280 285 290 like it's still going to be um quite a decent threat because it's not just about Broman right you need to pair Broman with some scary characters into cleave right so for example if you're around 280 290 like KN wall is already like kind of slow right so you already have the threat of countering the knck walls uh so people most likely are not going to try to run knell into you because if they get outs sped they just instant die right um eui here is going to be on holy sacrifice on life steal and HP um if you can put her on like a Destro set that'd be cool but honestly it really makes no difference if you want to run in injury that probably works too um but the whole reason why we have um e here actually is for a really specific reason um the fast Broman kind of covers a knall loose condition um but the alternative I guess the most popular cleanser is uh plen on high ER against the Broman right and because her S2 is a non- attack skill and she gains a bunch of CR the E is actually going to be able to cut the CR gain so that if you know let's say she does resist right she won't cut forward cuz she needs so much ER to resist you right and that's where the value from EU comes in and then this is where the BBK really shines right BBK is on Speed torrent on secret art Storm sword on the immortality e um you could probably run the damage e if you really wanted to um but uh the whole premise behind this is basically you're at 251 speed you're basically going to be gaining 24% CR at 251 speed you'll guarantee cut in front of any Alena because you already have the E on field right um the only way that people can really counter this is if they're running like blue Alena with a pro candy and they just like triple buff stack and then the browman can't land on you then like you know sure but you're forcing someone to bring a pot candy and guess what if they're running a pro candy with a Lena buff stack uh chances are you're probably fighting pady or talentless and you're probably just going to eat anyway regardless of what defense that you had so um yeah this is kind of the defense that I had in mind right you have the fast Broman to cover the monk loose condition you have the EU to cover the Alena loose condition with the BBK and just bank that they don't bring pot candy um and yeah yeah so those are the comps that I want you guys to kind of give a try and see how they work let me know how they are um there's going to be another Gil War defense meta video at some point because Freda obviously got released so we're going to see how she shakes up the meta we really haven't been able to see too much yet um but let me just move into some of my closing thoughts real quick all righty so that's Outro pretty much going to do it for today's Gil War defense meta video um for I guess right before September and right when the Gil War season starts um like I said um or I guess I haven't mentioned it yet but there is going to be a free unequip coming around the corner for the E7 World Cup so you know try to take advantage of that maybe set up some trap defenses if you guys are looking to get some shields on defense and you're not really playing rting in the preseason uh great time to be farming Mystics when you're trying to get back to that X5 bracket in Guild Wars um but let me know what you guys think in the comments Below in terms of some of the comps that I've kind of you know put in this video um
