BREAKING: Cincinnati Bengals Sign 2 Players And Make MULTIPLE Roster Moves | Bengals News

[Music] Bangals fans what is G on Stone shields on hand for a special edition of Bengals breakdown as you can tell we are not at the studio I'm actually at home right now this is our first at home video that we have done it's my one of my off days so I am not at work right now but the Bengals announced some significant news so we still have a video coming out for you guys so make sure you guys and we really appreciate that so kind of diving into what exactly the Bengals did before their practice today announced kind of a flurry of transactions so to speak they signed defensive end Andre Carter um a rookie out of Indiana University originally signed with Jacksonville as a free agent in May and was waved by the Jaguars on July 31st and it's been well documented kind of how thin the Bengals have been at really the entirety of their defensive line right but particularly that edge spot as well cam sample was placed on injured reserve um because of that a Achilles injury that he suffered in training camp unfortunate for sample he's going to be out the entirety of the year so it was really only a matter of time before they added another body to that room and they do it today with 6'5 275 or 270 pounder Andre Carter and um another move that the Bengals announced is that they signed defensive tackle Joshua prior so kind of moving to the interior of that defensive line and uh prior is a second-year player at a Bowie State University and originally was the free agent signing of the commanders in 2023 and he played seven games at as a rookie for the commanders and recorded a special teams tackle and was waved by Washington on May 7th again that that um you know defensive tackle position those guys are banged up too like we haven't seen Jay TF in a while McKinley Jackson the Bengals um you know rookie that they drafted in 2024 is a little banged up as well so they really just need to get more bodies into that room and that's what they do today with those two pieces so before we continue what you guys to grade those two signings for me in the comments section of today's video ABC D or F let me know what you think down in the comments obviously these guys aren't you know household names but I would give these signings probably a b or a c just because of the position that they play right the Bengals needed to get more bodies in that room and they do that and um you know management front office does a great job of doing that and as far as how those guys will play you know that remains to be seen as we progress through training camp but let me know what you guys think in the comments grade those signings for me AB C D or F and in the process of adding those two guys to the roster they also had to wave two guys from the roster one of which was wide receiver Trey Mosley um that room's in pretty good hands right now apart from of course the Jamar Chase situation that's going on not exactly sure when we will see him out at um you know participating in full app practice he's there again today by the way catching some balls but he's not dressed for practice he's just kind of out there shorts t-shirt hat sunglasses kind of just chilling but there is somebody of him just catching some passes just kind of for fun there on the sideline but apart from him that you know that room was pretty much intact I've said for a while now that the six guys that are going to make the roster at that receiver position assuming they're going to take six pretty much set in stone right now but um that they they you know take a little uh depth out of that room I guess so to speak and choose to wave Trey Mosley and the second guy that they waved I think this is kind of the most interesting story out of all these transactions today is punter Austin mcamera was waved by Cincinnati today and um you know I think it's interesting because I thought he was going to be a guy to challenge Brad Robbins for that starting job but if you remember fairly recently the Bengals also brought in a third punter in Ryan Rico and um a kid out of BYU and he must be doing a really nice job because you know it wasn't a surprise that the Bengals wanted to get that punter room down to two guys but they cut mamera and keep the guy that they just brought on recently in Rico so that kind of stands out to me um you know he must be having a really solid training camp these past couple uh you know week or so or however long he's been with the team not too long but he must be performing pretty well for Cincinnati and that kind of stands out to me and we'll see if he can push Robbins for that starting spot um Robbins is very much the favorite for this position but the Bengals needed to bring in guys to kind of push him because he certainly did not have a very good rookie campaign for Cincinnati um last year so those are kind of those are the four moves that essentially happened for the Bengals uh before their practice today but uh kind of circling back to the the first two guys that they're adding there on the uh defensive line Andre Carter of course once again out of Indiana uh University and Joshua who's a seconde guy um that they added but you when you look at um you know that those Edge guys right hubard and Hendrickson are your two main guys at that position but they're not out there getting reps right now so you just need people to kind of fill that space for Cincinnati and again it's not it doesn't appear to be serious whatsoever with hubard and Hendrickson but it's it's just kind of precautionary if it were the regular season those guys would be out there participating in full but you need guys out there to get those reps and um you know they don't have depth at that room and that's why you saw those moves that were made today Andre Carter and Joshua prior coming in for Cincinnati to you know help him out on that defensive line spot now my next question for you guys is do you think either of these two guys are going to make the roster Andre Carter or Joshua Pryor that's kind of our next opportunity for you guys to get interactive with our uh at home show here on Bengals breakdown so type why for yes or n for no for me in the comments section do you think Andre Carter or uh Joshua prior will make the roster for Cincinnati really excited to see what these guys do in um these three preseason games you know I don't know for sure but I would expect them to be in uniform on Saturday um we'll have more information on that in the future but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be and it's always exciting when you bring in these kinds of guys cuz you know you don't really have any expectations for them right they you know they're not household names they're not hot Commodities right but you never know some sometimes these guys when they have an opportunity to just get a crack at the NFL again can go out there and really you know surprise you so I'm excited to watch these two and uh see what their impact looks like on that defensive line for Luan rumo and the Cincinnati Bengals so once again just run through the four moves real quick sign in defensive end Andre Carter sign in defensive tackle Joshua Pryor and then wave and punter Austin mcnamer as well as wide receiver Trey Mosley so those are the moves that you're looking at for Cincinnati here as uh practice really has
