Chargers vs Raiders Week 1 Postgame Report | Chargers Win 22-10 | Highlights & Analysis

okay folks Andrew bpro is here well I want to recap the game uh that we had week one Victory versus the Raiders thank God air horn gotta love it and again guys at the end of the day good game lot to talk about lot to break down it's gonna be an interesting one guys I'm gonna make it pretty short as well too I just want I just want to be a real quick recap just a summation of also what Jim Harbaugh said today so guys [Music] Bros okay folks as always like And subscribe if you do enjoy the content I'm Andrew bpro and again Jim Harbaugh spoke today he recapped the game and what we can expect moving forward uh there was a lot of rotation of players the entire game I mean both games both sides of the ball there was a lot of rotations very small limit snap count but he got the dub and guys if you have not listened to his postgame locker room speech it was absolutely awesome go check it out for sure uh but I wanted to talk about this this was the big fight at the end and this is when all the major fights happened in the crowd it was actually pretty incredible I was like wow this is just nuts how this uh escalated into the crowd I did not expect that to happen but uh it did I it was it was a little bit shocking quite frankly but the interesting thing is is nobody got suspended Palmer or um I think Jack is his name is the cornerback I think he played for ASU I think that James said he saw him Arizona a few times but nobody was ejected or sorry they were ejected but they were not suspended so I thought that was an interesting take uh they're most definitely going to be fine for sure but also Jim Harbaugh was in the middle of this Fay as well too right Quinton Quinton Johnson got involved and Quinton actually said some interesting things he said look man when when my guys are in trouble uh you got to step in and uh and and stick up for those guys for sure so look I I I truly believe it was it was just a physical game these guys you know came to play and and uh hey Raider fans and Raider players were frustrated they were losing and they lost right so it is what it is so uh bye-bye tough luck anyways but one thing I will say is your Ortiz uh we will probably have a recap video of him tomorrow uh we do have a I I believe we have one or two open spots on the practice squad right now so I'm sure there's going to be some transactions made tomorrow so we will do a video tomorrow usually every Tuesday is when transactions happen after teams have waiver wire players so I'm very curious to see who is available or who we do pick up uh for the waiver wire uh this week because clearly guys people are making the team right so we literally just picked up Tom Lon last week uh and he played this week uh this game so he was the third tight end which I thought was pretty interesting so we will see who we pick up in the waivers this week moving forward uh but I wanted to talk a little about the linebacker room for just a second again Denzel Perman and also Deion Henley and also Junior Coulson had the Green Dot all three of them had the Green Dot so I thought that was really interesting um you know I kind of wasn't we weren't sure we thought Denzel Perman would take it but all three had it and all three rotated which I thought was great and Jim harbot today talked about that quite a bit he said look man I'm fine with the rotation they they see no changes in the future which I think is really interesting so I'm very curious to see how that plays out moving forward what do you guys think about the rotation piece that that clearly they're going to rotate who's calling the plays on the defensive side of the ball I think it's a good thing uh but you know some you guys might have other thoughts leave a comment down below I'm very curious to see what you guys think but again I think Denzel Perman played great I think Don Henley this works out moving forward but I like rotation and again that General theme of even the linebackers it spread on all sides of the ball even the offens and defensive side of the ball there was a lot of rotation a lot of players rotated in and out and none more than really the defensive line we talk about that more in a second but congrats to Derwin James guys 500 tackles in his career absolutely incredible airhorn let's get it cheer Dern James is the man guys and I tell you what it was awesome that he was just locked down on the tight ends man he was not letting them get free he did a great job guys and and again week four versus the uh Chiefs it's going to be really interesting to see what happens because bottom line he's going to be on Travis Kelce most likely the entire time or they might use him a little bit differently we'll have to see how that plays out but I'm very look we all know Dern James is one of the best players he was one of the best players on the field defensively he did such a great job definitely a pro bowl caliber uh safety as we all know right um let's talk about the defensive line the defensive line was absolutely incredible I from what footage I have seen and again I'll bring out some of these shorts here very shortly um we have some footage from the game that we're going to show and then I'll probably show my little shorts a little bit later on breaking down these plays but Puna Ford Tito abona right here you're seeing uh uh uh Morgan Fox I mean Scott mattlock these guys did a great job stuffing the A and B gaps right there was nowhere for them to run they did a fantastic job I did want to see tier out there a little more he was not out there on the field a whole lot largely because I think he's pretty new to the defense so I think they kind of kept him off the field but Joey Bosa had an amazing game we all know how well he did Joey Bosa I think he had what um yeah leading tackler six tackles one assist one sack Derwin James had six tackles one assist no sacks so guys Bosa say what you want to say about Joey Bosa and how much we're paying him if he's healthy folks life is good and we do very well with Joey Bosa when he's healthy and on the field so especially with C Mack and the rest of the team that we got please stay help the Joey Bosa please right so I'm excited to see what he does this season stay healthy stay healthy that's what I'm asking for um again CLE Mack I love it he's running back with that ball uh I thought that was absolutely incredible that that horrible pass that well wasn't even a pass I think he didn't mean to throw the ball picked it up absolutely incredible the run back it would have been so nice for him to get that touchdown um but obviously didn't make it happen but K had an amazing game as well too I mean I was so impressed with what he did he was uh one tackle two assists and a sack or one and a half sacks actually so again I think they were kind of putting him on a little bit of a snap count I I don't think he was really out there a whole lot but it's good to see Joey Bosa do do so well and again cck as we just know I just I just love the guy to death he just did a great job and again say just say what you want to say about the defensive line we did a great job of just rotating everyone was in and out of there we did a good job it was interesting to see um uh uh Joey Bose's hand clearly he had some additional padding around his hand um which I think is a good thing because clearly apparently he fractured a bone in his hand which I thought was absolutely crazy say had some some sort of metal plate in his hand which I thought was really interesting I was like Wow and healed up that quickly in fact I think it was about a week ago his press conference was like oh man my I can't even believe how nice my hand feels right now um after a fracture think it healed in like two weeks which I thought was interesting two and a half weeks actually but let's talk about the man of the hour Herbert now again Herbert did not have his best game we all know that Justin Herbert knows that right he was 12 for 26 uh 144 yards in one touchdown now I do think the wide receiver room is a little bit of a work in progress I want to hear your thoughts thought on that as well too A lot of people were kind of throwing shade at Herbert for not being that great like oh he's okay he's mid again we don't we all know that he has been out right so I think he was a bit Rusty he missed a few passes like the one that I keep thinking about was that pass to Josh Palmer in the end zone he did throw it a little bit behind Josh Palmer in the end zone uh for a touchdown and you know that was a bit of a bummer to see but bottom line guys we all know Herbert when he's on his game he can be absolutely incredible but I do think his wide receiver room is going to be a little bit of a work in progress moving forward leave a comment down below what what you thought Herbert did maybe give him a grade ABC I want to hear your thoughts uh but again JK Dobbins man of the hour man I he you know he did great right he was only 10 carries guys which I thought was interesting he averaged 13 and a half yards per carry and a touchdown should had two touchdowns maybe even a third one as well too but again 135 yards one of the best rushing uh running backs in the week so far right again we have the ners and and jets game tonight but be interesting to see what happens there but Gus Edwards only had 11 he had 11 carries and only 26 yards so 2.4 yards per carry so Gus Edwards was having a little harder time uh kind of you know you know getting his butt in gear but the one thing about JK dobins that I did like was that he did say he said I gotta get my monkey off my back and get his legs ready so he did admit that his conditioning wasn't where he wanted it to be so I thought that was really interesting that he was so humble about that and was very open about that conversation but again all also I love that lad makoni went down and did some blocking with JK Dobbins as a team moving down there to get get the your teammates into the end zone I think is is really a nice change and again one thing I want to say too here J um JK dobbin's coming off here obviously I think it was after his touchdown this just goes to show you the difference of where we are now under the harbar era compared to what we had under Staley he's congratulating everybody and we all know what he thinks about Justin Herbert Justin Herbert's right here he's congratulating everybody on the team it's one thing Staley did a very bad job of he cared about the very few players right the star players that's who who cared about everyone else was navalent right and so clearly just like a good parent he's keeping everybody on the same plane as much attention as possible and everyone has a voice and he's interesting and by the way the locker room speech he did allow JK Dobbins to speak which I thought was really interesting so you know the leadership qualities that we see here in this locker room uh I think are just going to get better and better moving forward and again I think Quinton Johnson had a really good game as well too A lot of people giving him shade I also saw a lot of people say he did much better job again he averaged 12.7 yards per reception guys that's pretty damn good lad makaki was five receptions for 40 yards and 7.8 yards and one touchdown so look my point is Quinton you know the guy's a yak guy we need to see get him the ball short passes get him downfield he did make some interesting little cuts that I think he could have gotten some additional yardage but you know we'll see what happens but Quinton I'm excited to see what he can do at least this offense is using him a little a little more correctly which I thought was great and uh this is kind of what we want to see moving forward but congrats to the freaking rookie dude come on now come on now a touchdown in his first NFL game absolutely like the air horn anyways but lad makoni that juke move he did to evade two tackles two Defenders to get in the end zone absolutely incredible love love him half to death I actually think he could even end up I mean I think a lot of people even the stands like hey he might end up being the number one wide receiver by the end of the season we shall see my biggest concern with him is his injury proness right which I I think is a big a big question um I wanted to just wrap up with this right here guys I will say this guys there were a lot of fights in the stand and I and I was a little bit I was a little bit hurt when I saw all that I mean it was it was pretty disgusting to see and this just goes to show you that these guys out here yes it's a physical game but guys at the end of the day people just want to go out there and have a good time compete and stay healthy and have a long career and and bottom line folks this is what it's really all about right these these players out here are giving it all having a good time us as fans we just need to relax and just stop being you know butth holes to one another I just think bottom line I think we just need to be nicer to one another as well and again love hate the Raiders love hate the Chargers whatever you want to say at the end of the day guys it's just football and these guys are out there having a good time and enjoying a game that they love to play and we love to watch them play right so so just keep that in mind guys you know when if you're you're having a contous conversation with the Raider fan just understand this that that guys we're all here to have fun we're all here to enjoy the time
