Harbaugh who he was on his staff with at the University of Michigan but how about Jay Harbaugh too Jim son the Seahawks special teams coordinator who was on the staff at Michigan that won the national championship last year he gets a win as well really good night for the Seattle Seahawks let's talk about it and go over the numbers here for you of what we witness this evening samal got the start more on him in just a second Sam Hal was very solid 16 to 27 130 yards one touchdown pass for the night no interceptions Main Kenny McIntosh was your leading uh Bowl carrier as he was solid this is the first time we've really seen much of Kenny McIntosh in live game action he had a very good night eight carries for 40 yards the receiving Court DQ young former seventh round pick this was his night to shine remember when you go past the receiving depth chart of the guys you have right of DK Tyler jsn and Jake Bobo there is a wideopen comp competition to be that number five receiver and DQ young I think he kind of separated himself tonight he was solid three catches for 44 yards he was really good and the Seahawks defense we'll talk more about them in just a bit wow what a performance getting after the quarterback creting turnovers really just limiting the possessions of what the Chargers could do Seahawks defense came to play in all four quarters today I was very impressed sing hooks win 16 to and get the job done let's start with Sam H how 16 of 27 130 yard with a touchdown pass and think about this all right I think Sam Hal played better than what the numbers actually indicate and I'll be honest I've been real with yall about Sam Hal right we don't sugarcoat things here on Seahawks today we don't tell you what you want to hear we tell you what you need to hear Sam how looked miles better than PJ Walker did you compare to what PJ Walker did PJ was really struggling throwing the football four of 10 61 yards passing for the night got sacked once Sam Hal got sacked twice offensive line didn't really play that great but they didn't play much of their guys didn't see Conor Williams tonight and all that obviously a Lucas is still out but to me any conversation any conversation about PJ Walker being the number two quarterback and samal not being the number two quarterback is over it is over with this quarterback room is settled Gino Smith is your starter Sam how is your number two they'll carry two quarterbacks on the active roster payj Walker he can hang around the practice squad but it's it I've seen enough doesn't matter what happens scrimmage that occurred at Lumen field last Saturday and Kenny McIntosh had his worst performance of all of training camp last week in the mock scrimmage but now in live game action with the bright lights on with the game on NFL plus and everything Kenny McIntosh was solid eight carries 40 yards five yards per carry also was used as a receiving Target uh two catches only got one yard but at least he was an option there if you will I like what I saw from Kenny McIntosh and think about this folks you look at the SE look rushing attack Kenneth Walker Zack shanet I think they're going to be as good of a one-two punch of anyone in the National Football League he adding Kenny McIntosh to the MI and we know what Ryan grub wants to do with having multiple running backs using them in the passing game Kenny McIntosh showed he belonged George helani solid i' like to pick up the udfa from Boise State he seemed promising he made a nice case to be potentially a number four running back to carry on the 53 man roster uh some of the other names Kobe Lewis wasn't so great uh he struggled kind of get things going just about 3.3 yards per carry for him but the one game I think you got to feel pretty good about cuz we saw Zack shanet early on didn't see Kenny McIntosh and tonight you can feel pretty good about these other options the Seahawks have at the running game so I I I was very today's video let's talk about the receiving CT for a second now DQ young solid night for him I think he made a strong case to make the 53 man roster I'd be shocked if he wasn't on it at this point Chanel not bad either uh ESOP Winston was solid as well the one guy I think that had an off night that needed to have a good night was drid in that receiving core otherwise your backup receivers about a lot and here's Brady Russell and you know what he did had a touchdown three catches 25 yards very good night for him I liked Brady Russell Brady Russell made a case of why he should be in the 53 man roster I thought it was a good night for him let's talk defense now lights out performance from this Seahawks defense held this Chargers offense to under 200 yards pass defense was incredible Kobe Bryant got a pick he was really good and they needed to see that from Kobe Bryant because Seahawks are going to play three safeties at times and they need Kobe Bryant potentially to be one of those guys he looked really good run defense was solid uh Byron Murphy we saw him early along with some of those guys good night had the turnover from Kobe Bryant John Radigan was solid he's competing for playing time for a spot of the 53 man roster Derk Hall had the night we've been waiting for from Derek Hall uh as he had five tackles one sack and one tackle for loss just a really good night uh for the first outing of the Mike McDonald defense in Seattle you go over the numbers for the Seahawks offense I mean you you'll take this time of possession incredible as Smitty points out to me 40 minutes that's ball control football at its finest and then look over here as I try to point my finger to the right spot zero turnovers they took care of the football even with all these second and
