3 Seahawks Players On The Roster Bubble After The 2024 NFL Draft Ft. Dee Eskridge & Stone Forsythe

players that are fighting for their football lives hoping they don't get deported to the CFL or the UFL whatever it may be that they get to stay on the Seahawks roster when the season begins this September we'll go over three players that have a lot to prove over the next couple of months here on today's show before we do quick little fan survey for Fan Survey you if you've been a Seahawks fan not comment and tell us how long you've been a fan of your Seattle Seahawks let's start off Dee Eskridge with Dwayne ESD AKA D ESD who is 27 years old and has a lot to prove uh to say the least it is been just a a sad couple of years for DSD uh the former Seahawk's second round pick has been a bust right he's been barely able to get on the field he struggled to stay healthy he had some legal issues he was dealing with this has just been a mess when it comes to D dsrd and and the other part about it is it's such a waste of potential right because the measurables he looks the part of a guy that should be a decent Receiver right we've seen him have his moments in these OTAs and training camps in the past but it's just never worked out and at this rate I don't think it will I think it's jover at this point for drid I would be surprised if he ends up making the Seahawks 53 man roster he's got to prove something over these next couple months you look at the SE step chart Jake Bobo had a breakout campaign uh last year specifically in the preseason what he was able to do he's already passed up DSD on the depth chart you bring in chanal uh from the Carolina Panthers and a lot of people are high on him what he could potentially do not to mention already having DK and Tyler Lockett and jsn and all that the one silver lining for drid that could be his Saving Grace if you will this this off seon is the fact that the kickoff rules have changed and he is supposed to be a special teams Ace a specialist if you will and so there's an opportunity for him to show off that athleticism and the need when it comes to the Special Teams game as a kick returner or a punt returner but that might not be enough the esrage has to evolve as a receiver and it's put up her shut up time for DSD at this point in time look I want to see dsrd succeed I would love to see him really just knock it out of the park over the next couple months and find a way to make this roster but he's got to prove it and right now his back is against the wall at this point when it comes to being a member of the SE Seahawks in 2024 and Beyond so let's ask you show the Seahawks cut drid is it time to Stone Forsythe the offensive tackle position 26 years of age and the thing I'll say that's different about him comparably speaking to DSD it's not a lack of effort if you will I feel like Stone puts his very best out there he's trying right drid I do wonder if his heart's into it if it's in the right place that's not the concern with stone here it's the fact that there's guys that are better than him stone is putting the work in but the truth of the matter is the Seahawks have better options at this point Charles cross and Abraham Lucas both in theory should be fully healthy entering 2024 I do have concerns about Abraham Lucas's knee holding up but we'll see how things go there George Fant you brought in to be your swing tackle you drafted uh Mike Geral as well we'll see if he ends up making the team and then we've heard about some other guys some of those interior linemen have the possibility of potentially moving to one of those tackle positions as well so all that being said stone for side he's had some moments right he's a pretty decent run blocker 71.4 run block great according to PFF last year when the Seahawks were short-handed on the offensive line he came through for the Seahawks at different times in the past so with that said Stone I like the guy but this is a tough business and sometimes you got to make business decisions and for stone foresight right now we'll see if he makes the roster or not but he's got his work cut out for him over these next couple of months especially with the signing of George Fant there coming into the fold to be the primary backup for Abraham Lucas and Charles cross all right now is your chance to be a little tough be a little critical here who's on chopping plock name a player the Seahawks should cut that they should say sayar to and ultimately move on way in the comment section give me a name that you believe will not be a member of the Seattle Seahawks when the season begins one player that will be a member of the Seattle Seahawks is Byron Murphy certainly excited to have him in Seattle for the foreseeable future I think he's going to be a star in the National Football League folks and now is the perfect if you will for the Seattle Seahawks we'll see if he ends up making it or not but think about this with the recent additions to the defensive line the way the Seahawks have invested in this group we mentioned the Murphy pick which was a big deal uh you brought in Jonathan henkins in addition to bringing back Leonard Williams and all that jiren Reed's still there you're paying Draymond Jones a lot of money there just might not be a spot for Miles Adams at this point in time you look at this defensive line and I'll say this this has become a position of strength this was a position of weakness for Seattle not too long ago right now they have options here they got rotational pieces guys that will all be in the mix and Miles Adams right now finds himself third on the depth chart at this point in time undrafted back in 2020 out of rice 22 games played in three seasons and not a ton to show for it 27 tackles and one career sack but it's not looking great for Miles Adams for his chances to make the Seahawks roster at this point in time let's ask you now will the Seahawks ultimately cut miles Adams when it's all said and done is he not going to make the 53 man roster type c for cut k for
